Dissipation of a two-mode squeezed vacuum state in the single-mode amplitude damping channel

We explore how a two-mode squeezed vacuum state sechθ e^{a+b+ tanh θ} |00> evolves when it undergoes a singlemode amplitude dissipative channel with rate of decay κ. We find that in this process not only the squeezing parameter decreases, tanh θ → e^-κt tanh θ, but also the second-mode vacuum state evolves into a chaotic state exp{b⁺bln[1 - e^-2κt tanh² θ]}. The outcome state is no more a pure state, but an entangled mixed state.     

A scheme for approximate conditional teleportation of entangled two-mode cavity state without Bell state measurement

An alternative scheme to approximately conditionally teleport entangled two-mode cavity state without Bell state measurement in cavity QED is proposed. The scheme is based on the resonant interaction of a ladder-type three-level atom with two bimodal cavities. The entangled cavity state is reconstructed with only one atom interacting with the two cavities successively.     

Nonlinear two-mode squeezing obtained by analysing two-mode exponential quadrature operators in entangled state representation

By analysing the properties of two-mode quadratures in an entangled state representation (ESR) we derive from ESR some complicated exponential quadrature operators for nonlinear two-mode squeezing, which directly leads to wave function of the nonlinear squeezed state in ESR.

Realization of Nonclassical States and Two-Mode Coupling in the Motion of Two Trapped Ions

We propose a scheme to generate various nonclassical vibrational states in the collective motion of twotrapped ions, such as squeezed states, Schrodinger cat states, and SU(2) states. It is based on Raman-type excitations.Two-mode coupling between the center-of-mass and relative vibrational modes can also be realized.     

Number-Difference Orthonormal Representation

We study the properties of two-mode phase operator √(a⁺+b)/(a+b⁺) and the phase state by constructing the number-difference orthonormal state |q, г). We prove that |q, г ) constitutes a complete and orthonormal representation (number-difference representation). We show that two-mode phase operator √(a⁺+b)/(a+b⁺) exhibits its phase behavior explicitly in the number-difference representation, which resembles the single-mode phase operator e^iψ ≡ (1/√a⁺a+1)a. The corresponding phase state is also studied.

双模压缩真空态和纠缠相干态的一维势垒散射

分析了双模压缩真空态和纠缠相干态的一维势垒散射问题,结果表明,两种散射态的纠缠度都随势垒的透射系数呈类抛物线关系,且抛物线谷底对应半反半透势垒.前者的纠缠度还随入射压缩因子呈类抛物线关系,后者随入射纠缠呈线性关系.两种散射的保真度都可以由透射系数的增加而得到提高,但前者还会随入射压缩因子的增大而降低,后者随入射相干态模的增加而降低.

A Simple Method to Generate Several Motional States in Two-Trapped Ions System

By tuning the frequencies of the two standing wavesto excite resonantly different sidebands of center-of-mass or breathing mode, several motional states, such as one- ortwo-mode squeezed states and their superpositions, and the beam-splitter output states, are generated.     

Efficient scheme for the preparation of arbitrary anticorrelated states of a two-mode field

A scheme is presented for generating any anticorrelated state of a two-mode field. In the scheme a sequence of suitably prepared three-level V-type atoms are sent across a two-mode cavity initially in the vacuum state. The detection of all the atoms in the ground state collapses the two-mode field to the desired state.     

The transfer of the quantum correlation from two-mode nonclassical state field to the supercurrents in two distant SQUID rings

We have considered two distant mesoscopic superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) rings A and B in the presence of two-mode nonclassical state fields and investigated the correlation of the supercurrents in the two rings using the normalized correlation function $C_{\rm AB}$. We show that when the parameter $\alpha$ is very small for the separable state with the density matrix $\hat {\rho } = (\left| {\alpha , - \alpha } \right\rangle \left\langle {\alpha , - \alpha } \right| + \left| { - \alpha ,\alpha } \right\rangle \left\langle { - \alpha ,\alpha } \right|) / 2$ and entangled coherent state (ECS) $\left| u \right\rangle = N_1 (\left| {\alpha , - \alpha } \right\rangle + \left| { - \alpha ,\alpha } \right\rangle )$ fields, the dynamic behaviours of the normalized correlation function $C_{\rm AB}$ are similar, but it is quite different for the entangled coherent state $\left| {u}' \right\rangle = N_2 (\left| {\alpha , - \alpha } \right\rangle - \left| { - \alpha ,\alpha } \right\rangle )$ field. When the parameter $\alpha $ is very large, the dynamic behaviours of $C_{\rm AB}$ are almost the same for the separable state, entangled coherent state $\left| u \right\rangle $ and $\left| {u}' \right\rangle $ fields. For the two-mode squeezed vacuum state field the maximum of $C_{\rm AB}$ increases monotonically with the squeezing parameter $r$, and as $r \to \infty $, $C_{\rm AB} \to 1$. This means that the supercurrents in the two rings A and B are quantum mechanically correlated perfectly. It is concluded that not all the quantum correlations in the two-mode nonclassical state field can be transferred to the supercurrents; and the transfer depends on the state of the two-mode nonclassical state field prepared.     

Entanglement Transfer from Two-Mode Squeezed Vacuum State Field to Two Spatially Separated Atoms in Two-Photon Processes

We investigate the influence of the Stark shift on the entanglement transfer from the two-mode squeezed vacuum state field to two spatially separated atoms in two-photon processes. Our results show that the Stark shift plays an important role in such entanglement transfer. We find that when the Stark shift parameter r is small, the degree of entanglement between the two atoms increases with the increasing of the squeezing parameter ξ first, and after achieving its maximal value, the degree of entanglement will decrease to zero with the increasing of ξ; while for big r, E will increase with the increasing of ξ.

Single-mode quadrature-amplitude measurement for generalized two-mode squeezed states studied by virtue of the entangled state representation

The result of one-mode quadrature-amplitude measurement for some generalized two-mode squeezed states has been studied by virtue of the entangled state representation of the corresponding two-mode squeezing operators. We find that the remaining field-mode simultaneously collapses to the single-mode squeezed state with more stronger squeezing. The measurement result caused by a single-mode squeezed state projector is also calculated, which indicates quantum entanglement in squeezing.
