We study the burst distribution in the fiber bundle model and the fuse model when noise is added to the thresholds, i.e., when the threshold values vary around a fixed value as the breakdown proceeds. The burst distribution follows a power law in the noisy system, but with the exponent τ changed compared to the standard models without noise. The value of τ changes near failure in the noisy models as in the models without noise, hence signaling imminent breakdown.  相似文献

A hydrophone consisting of a hollow cylinder whose flexible, circular end plates are bonded to pairs of pat, spiral wound coils of optical fiber is described. When the end plate/disk is deformed due to a pressure difference, the outer and inner fiber coils experience opposite strains resulting in a “push—pull” optical path length difference which is detected in an all-fiber Michelson interferometer. The close proximity of the interferometric fiber coils, separated by the thin thermally conducting end plate, rejects thermal gradient-induced signals. The addition of a second identical end plate and fiber coil pair at the opposite end of the cylinder will double the acoustic sensitivity while canceling acceleration induced signals. The calculated and measured optical strain of a single simply supported plate, single-coil sensor (8.0 cm diameter, 3.0 mm thickness) using static pressure, acoustic pressure, and acceleration are in good agreement and yield a sensitivity of 0.21 rad/Pa (ΔΦ/ΦΔP = -301 dB re I μPa-1) below its resonance frequency of 3 kHz. The calculated and measured strain for a dual clamped disk (4.5 cm diameter, 1.0 mm thickness) acceleration-canceling sensor with four 8-m coils are in good agreement also and yield a sensitivity of 1.0 rad/Pa (ΔΦ/ΦpΔP = -291 dB re 1 μPa-1) below the disk resonance frequency of 4.5 kHz. These are the highest fiber-optic, omnidirectional hydrophone sensitivities reported to date.  相似文献

Optical burst switching (OBS) aims at combining the strengths of packet and circuit switching and is considered as a promising technology for implementing the next generation optical Internet, required to cope with the rapid growth of Internet traffic and the increased deployment of new services. In this paper, an optimal burst assembly approach employing traffic shaping (OBATS) for OBS networks has been proposed in order to improve network performance in terms of reduced blocking probability, congestion control and better utilization of bandwidth. Particularly, the proposed scheme aims at reducing the average delay experienced by the packets during the burstification process in optical burst switched (OBS) networks, for a given average size of the bursts produced. Reducing the packet burstification delay, for a given average burst size, is essential for real-time applications; correspondingly, increasing the average burst size for a given packet burstification delay is important for reducing the number of bursts injected into the network and the associated overhead imposed on the core nodes. Simulation results show that the proposed burst assembly approach gives better network performance in terms of burst drop, resource contention and delay as compared to conventional burst assembly approaches.  相似文献

In a kinematically complete experiment at the Mainz microtron MAMI, pion angular distributions of the 3He(e,e′π+)3H reaction have been measured in the excitation region of the Δ resonance to determine the longitudinal (L), transverse (T), and the LT interference part of the differential cross section. The data are described only after introducing self-energy modifications of the pion and Δ-isobar propagators. Using Chiral Perturbation Theory (ChPT) to extrapolate the pion self energy as inferred from the measurement on the mass shell, we deduce a reduction of the π+ mass of MeV/c2 in the neutron-rich nuclear medium at a density of fm−3. Our data are consistent with the Δ self energy determined from measurements of π0 photoproduction from 4He and heavier nuclei.  相似文献

In the Optical Burst Switching (OBS) Network, the burst assembly technique is one of the challenging issues in the implementation of the system. It has the influence on the burst characteristic, which gives an impact on the network performance. Burst assembly is the process of assembling incoming data from the higher layer into bursts at the ingress edge node of the OBS network. The burst assembly mechanism must then place these packets into bursts based on some assembly policy. In this paper, the OBS system performance has been observed in simulated 12-node network based on Just-Enough-Time (JET) reservation protocol with various burst assembly techniques under the standard drop policy (DP) and the segmentation policy for contention resolution. The simulation results show that the performance of the proposed Adaptive-Threshold with Fixed Maximum Time Limitation (ATH-FMTL) burst assembly scheme is better than conventional burst assembly schemes in terms of loss probability and average assembly delay. Also, the proposed scheme avoids a sudden increase in the burst size and makes the burst sent out smoother as compared to conventional schemes.  相似文献

We present a detailed statistical analysis of the size and temporal occurrence of burst sequences in the creep rupture of a proposed linear viscoelastic fiber bundle model. According to the model, the burst sequences of fiber breaks display a power law asymptotic behavior analogous to that of the static-fracture [Kloster et al., Phys. Rev. E 56, 2615, (1997)]. Moreover, power law asymptotics apply to inter-arrival times between successive bursts with a universal exponent close to unity.  相似文献

From the temperature dependence of the line—band luminescence intensity ratio of LiBaF3:Eu2+ a 4f−5d activation energy (Δ) of 800 cm−1 is derived, being much higher than the value reported in the literature (100 cm−1). The temperature dependence of the luminescence decay can be well described with Δ = 800 cm−1 and with 4f−4f and 5d−4f radiative probabilities of 4×102s−1 and 6×105s−1, respectively.  相似文献

As_2S_3 and As_2Se_3 chalcogenide 3-bridges suspended-core fibers(SCFs) are designed with shifted zero-dispersion wavelengths(ZDWs) at around 1.5 μm, 2 μm, and 2.8 μm, respectively. A generalized nonlinear Schr ¨odinger equation is used to numerically compare supercontinuum(SC) generation in these SCFs pumped at an anomalous dispersion region nearby their ZDWs. Evolutions of the long-wavelength edge(LWE), the power proportion in the long-wavelength region(PPL), and spectral flatness(SF) are calculated and analyzed. Meanwhile, the optimal pump parameters and fiber length are given with LWE, PPL, and SF taken into account. For As_2S_3 SCFs, SC from a 14 mm-long fiber with a ZDW of 2825 nm pumped at 2870 nm can achieve the longest LWE of ~ 13 μm and PPL up to ~72%. For As_2Se_3 SCFs, the LWE of 15.5 μm and the highest PPL of ~ 87% can be achieved in a 10 mm-long fiber with ZDW of 1982 nm pumped at 2000 nm. Although the As_2Se_3 SCFs can achieve much longer LWE than the As_2S_3 SCFs, the core diameter of As_2Se_3 SCFs will be much smaller to obtain a similar ZDW, leading to lower damage threshold and output power. Finally, the optimal parameters for generating SC spanning over different mid-IR windows are given.  相似文献

脉冲堆的性能主要受机械冲击引起的物理损伤的限制。高产额脉冲堆比CFBR-Ⅱ等金属铀脉冲堆追求更窄的脉冲宽度和更高的裂变产额,脉冲过程应力变化更加剧烈。为了获得高产额脉冲堆爆发脉冲过程中应力应变的分布,为新型脉冲堆设计和安全分析提供技术支持,基于圆柱型的铀钼合金快中子脉冲堆Godiva Ⅳ,以点堆方程以及MC(蒙特卡罗)方法对其中子产额以及功率分布进行了计算。并建立了快中子脉冲堆Godiva Ⅳ的三维模型,基于已知功率分布条件,利用有限元计算软件ANSYS Mechanical对其脉冲动态过程进行了瞬态的有限元计算,得到了Godiva Ⅳ圆柱型金属燃料在超临界脉冲爆发条件下的应力响应特性。  相似文献

采用块状光学准直聚焦透镜组的传统石英增强光声光谱(QEPAS)技术存在体积难以缩减,结构稳定性不佳,无法适应空间狭小、振动复杂的特殊环境等缺点.基于此,将光纤倏逝波技术与QEPAS技术相结合,提出了一种新型微纳结构光纤QEPAS痕量气体检测技术.实验中,为了提高QEPAS系统信号幅值,优化了石英音叉与激光束的空间位置、激光波长调制深度,同时对比了两种不同共振频率的石英音叉,最终采用共振频率较低的30.720 kHz石英音叉作为声波探测元件,获得的检测极限为6.25×10~(-4)(体积分数),归一化噪声等效吸收系数为4.18×10~(-7)cm~(-1).W·Hz~(-1/2).  相似文献

In past investigations on the interaction of laser and optical films, research was not widely performed on the process after the burst of the films’ material. Based on a centrosymmetric burst model of a plasma droplet, combined with ionization and absorption, the conditions that the ejected droplet’s thermodynamic parameters change with time have been investigated. When the burst starting time is appropriate, research has shown that the droplets’ parameters, such as expansion velocity and acceleration, cracking velocity and acceleration, temperature, and radius will reach their maximums. An earlier or later time does not increase the intensity of the droplet’s burst. This conclusion has great significance in investigations of laser-induced films damage.  相似文献

Band structures of 76Se and 78Se have been studied with the 74,76Ge(, 2nγ)76,78Se reactions by using a variety of in-beam γ-techniques : γ-ray singles spectra, γ-ray excitation functions, γ-γ-t coincidences, γ-ray angular distributions and γ-ray linear polarizations.

Spins and parities have been assigned uniquely for many new levels in 76Se and 78Se and four bands have been identified in both nuclei: (i) the ground-state band, (ii) a positive-parity ΔJ = 1 band built on the second 2+ state (γ-vibrational band), (iii) a negative-parity Δ J = 2 band built on the 3 state (octupole band) and (iv) a ΔJ = 2 band built on the high-lying J = 4 state. In addition, the second 8 + and 10+ states, which are possibly the lowest members of a band, have been found in both nuclei.

Systematics of the band structures obtained are discussed. Level energies of the band members and B(E2) ratios for some of the inter-band transitions between γ- and ground-state bands have been calculated with the proton-neutron interacting boson model IBM-2 and a reasonable agreement with the present data has been obtained.  相似文献

提出了光突发交换网络中的最长队列优先调度(LQF-SA)机制,将边缘节点的突发组装和突发调度两种技术紧密结合在一起.在现实网络中,业务通常是非均匀分布的,即在某些源宿对之间存在更大的业务流量.仿真结果表明,LQF-SA机制可以很好地完成非均匀分布业务流的组装.即使在均匀分布业务流输入下,LQF-SA机制在突发大小分布、组装效率和突发丢失率等方面也优于已提出的轮询调度组装(RR-SA)机制.  相似文献

Temperature and angular dependences of 205Tl line width, Δ , and transverse relaxation time, τ, have been measured in two crystals of Tl2Ba2CuOx with Tc = 32 and 115 K, respectively. In the normal state both Δ and τ have been found to be temperature-independent and not to vary with varying Tc, implying that the size of inhomogeneous broadening is also invariable. Analysis of the line width angular dependence shows that the inhomogeneous broadening originates, most probably, from local distortions associated with Cu substitution for Tl. A conclusion is that variations in Tc are not related to this substitution.  相似文献

We point out that neutrino events observed at Kamiokande and IMB from SN1987A disfavor the neutrino oscillation parameters preferred by the LSND experiment. For Δm2>0 (the light side), the electron neutrinos from the neutronization burst would be lost, while the first event at Kamiokande is quite likely to be due to an electron neutrino. For Δm2<0 (the dark side), the average energy of the dominantly events is already lower than the theoretical expectations, which would get aggravated by a complete conversion from to  . If taken seriously, the LSND data are disfavored independent of the existence of a sterile neutrino. A possible remedy is CPT violation, which allows different mass spectra for neutrinos and anti-neutrinos and hence can accommodate atmospheric, solar and LSND data without a sterile neutrino. If this is the case, Mini-BooNE must run in rather than the planned ν mode to test the LSND signal. We speculate on a possible origin of CPT violation.  相似文献

A simultaneous measurement of mass (M), charge (Z) and kinetic energy (Ek) distributions of fragments in thermal-neutron fission of 235U has been carried out using a back-to-back ΔE-E detector system. A pair of gridded ionization chambers filled with P-5 gas measured the energy losses ΔE1, ΔE2 of the complementary fragments in the gas, and the residual fragment energies were measured with a pair of semiconductor detectors. The four-parameter data were analysed to obtain fragment Z-distributions using the mass-momentum conservation relations to obtain M and then using the dependence of ΔE on E/M and Z. The charge resolution for the light-fragment group was determined at the gas pressures of 44, 150, 270 Torr and the best Z-resolution was obtained at 270 Torr. The data at this latter gas pressure were analysed to obtain the variances σ2z of the fragment charge distributions for different Ek windows and this was compared with the measured variances σ2A of the fragment mass distribution as a function of Ek as obtained by twoparameter measurements of the correlated fragment energies. The dependence of the measured variances σ2A, σ2Z on Ek is considered with a view to learning about the degree of neutron-proton correlations in the nucleon exchanges taking place during the mass division in fission, in analogy with that used in the case of heavy-ion deep inelastic collisions (DIC). The variation of σ2A2z with Ek observed in the present work, which is somewhat similar to that seen in heavy-ion DIC, implies that the fragment mass division in fission is governed by nucleon-exchange processes, where the degree of neutron-proton correlations is dependent on the total kinetic energy Ek. While for very large Ek the neutron-proton motion in the exchange processes is found to be uncorrelated, for lower Ek values the motion is seen to be correlated. Implications of these results regarding the applicability of fission models such as statistical model are pointed out.  相似文献

Optical burst switching (OBS) is a promising paradigm for the next-generation Internet infrastructure. In this paper, a novel efficient network architecture for OBS has been presented and compared with conventional OBS architectures. To enhance OBS system performance, the architecture employs a novel proposed burst assembly algorithm, fiber delay lines (FDLs) and dynamic route selection technique. A queuing model is used to predict the system behavior for both classless and prioritized traffic. Simple closed-form expressions are obtained for the burst-loss probability of both classless and prioritized traffic. Numerical results show that the proposed architecture provides an accurate fit for the performance of the highest traffic class and lower bounds for the other traffic classes that are tighter than earlier known results.  相似文献

A numerical technique based on ray optics is presented that provides the impulse response of multimode optical fibers having arbitrary smooth index profiles and arbitrary material dispersion. The variation of dn/dλ0 as a function of n when the dopant concentration varies is obtained from Fleming(1) measurements on bulk samples. This technique is applied to germania-doped multimode fibers with power-law profiles and various values of Δ ≡ Δn/n Previous results(2) are shown to be invalid when Δ ≳ 0.005. By successive approximations, optimum profiles that minimize the impulse response widths for quasi-monochromatic sources are found. For these optimum profiles, the quasi-monochromatic root-mean-square (rms) impulse response width is found to be of the order of 150 Δ2nsec/km, in agreement with a recent analytical result.(3)  相似文献

We make use of the topological chiral soliton model of the nucleon to predict the form factors related to the parity-violating meson-nucleon vertices. We find that these are of monopole type at low q2 with cut-offs similar to the equivalent strong meson-nucleon form factors. We furthermore investigate the parity-violating πΔN vertex. We find that while the isoscalar coupling vanishes identically, the isovector parity-violating πΔN vertex has a coupling stant of about 2 × 10−8 being of comparable magnitude as the equivalent weak pion-nucleon vertex strength. We also discuss the parity-violating ωΔN and ρΔN vertices in the model and furthermore comment on the pv meson ΔΔ vertices. In the appendix we will correct the formula for hω0 of ref. 5), where some terms have been omitted.  相似文献

We performed a series of experiments employing the two pion production reactions p + d3He + π0 and p + d3H + π+. The two isopin related reactions differ by a Clebsch Gordan coefficient of 2. We searched for deviations in this ratio in complete angular distributions in the range of the Δ excitation as well as in the vicinity of the η production threshold.  相似文献
