白光干涉偏振模耦合分布式光纤传感器分析   总被引:10,自引:5,他引:5  
分布式光纤传感器能够测量沿光纤长度上连续分布的外界量。用保偏光纤作为传感光纤的分布式光纤传感器,被测外界量引起保偏光纤中传播的两正交偏振模的相互耦合。用迈克尔逊干涉仪两臂光程差来补偿两个偏振模的光程差的方法探测传感信号。为了设计白光干涉偏振模耦合分布式传感器,根据统计光学原理分析了传感器的互相干特性。在此基础上分析了传感器的空间分辨力、光纤耦合点分辨力、最大传感光纤长度。波长1310nm、谱宽36nm的超辐射发光二极管(SLD)作光源.用色散参量为600ps/km,拍长3mm的保偏光纤的分布传感器空间分辨力和光纤耦合点分辨力分别为6cm和3mm。  相似文献

In the paper, polarization beam splitters are studied. Our theoretical study reveals that the coupling length and modulation period of a polarization beam splitter made from the depressed cladding fiber are shorter compared with that made from the matched fiber. Thus the former is characterized by a short interaction length. On the other hand, a polarization beam splitter made from the raised cladding fiber has a longer coupling length and a longer modulation period than those made from the matched fiber.  相似文献

利用矩形近似理论对用熔锥法制作的耦合器分光比进行了分析。结果表明,影响分光比的主要因素为耦合区长度。给出了两者间变化的理论公式,并在实验中得到了证实。CorningSMF28光纤耦合器分光比随耦合区长度变化的实验值为0 04%/μm,实验值与理论值基本一致。通过调节耦合区长度,得到了精确的50∶50分光比的光纤耦合器。  相似文献

The modulus of the complex degree of coherence across the exit face of a coherently excited optical fiber is investigated by taking account of coupling effects between propagating modes. We also discuss the results of numerical calculations for a quasi-single mode fiber. The modulus exhibits an oscillatory behaviour along the fiber length if coupling or beating is present. The oscillatory modulus is found to be large compared with the value it would assume if the cross-terms were neglected.  相似文献

A simple single-polarization single-mode (SPSM) photonic crystal fiber (PCF) coupler with two cores is introduced. The full-vector finite-element method (FEM) is applied to analyze the modal interference phenomenon of the even and odd modes of two orthogonal polarizations and the power propagation within the two cores. Meanwhile, the SPSM coupling wavelength range and its corresponding coupling length for different structure parameters are numerically analyzed. The numerical results show that SPSM coupling can be realized with a broad range of wavelength, and the coupling length can be of millimeter magnitude. Moreover, the SPSM coupling wavelength range and the coupling length can be optimized by designing proper mirco-structure parameters of the coupler.  相似文献

A novel, compact, and highly efficient fiber-to-chip evanescent coupling structure is proposed based on a subwavelength-diameter fiber. The coupling structure is characterized by a large misalignment tolerance and easy fabrication. The dependence of coupling efficiency on various parameters is calculated and analyzed. The simulation results show that a coupling efficiency as high as 95% can be obtained within a coupling length of <4 μm.  相似文献

对折射率剖面非均匀的少模光纤Bragg光栅(FM-FBG)的反射特性进行了数值仿真,研究了光纤侧面紫外曝光法制作的光纤光栅中饱和长度的影响.用试射法(shooting)数值求解了耦合模方程,得到FM-FBG的反射谱.仿真结果表明,在纤芯和包层边界的最大光致折射率变化量和纤芯吸收因子不变的情况下,随着纤芯折射率变化的饱和长度的增大,LP01和LP11模间的互耦合反射峰呈抛物线形变化,当饱和长度增大到一定值后,互耦合反射峰随饱和长度的增大而逐渐减小并最终消失;同阶LP模的自耦合反射峰随饱和长度的增大而增大.  相似文献

介绍一种长焦距、大口径太阳光光纤耦合系统的光学设计。为达到减小大口径单透镜汇聚太阳光所产生的球差和色差的目的,采用聚光透镜后增加消像差光学系统的方法,并用Zemax软件设计优化出适用于光纤耦合的光学系统,经过优化设计得到光斑半径为45.043 m,能量集中度达95 %以上,像方孔径角为9.090 2,系统总长525.584 mm,满足数值孔径为0.22,芯径直径为1.5 mm的石英光纤的耦合要求。  相似文献

首先从掺铥光纤激光器的速率方程和光传输方程出发,建立数学模型,通过Matlab软件进行数值计算,分析了泵浦光和激光沿光纤的分布以及各能级离子数的变化.在不同掺杂浓度下,研究了小信号增益与入纤泵浦功率的关系以及泵浦光和激光功率与增益介质长度的关系.在不同泵浦功率下,研究了输出功率与输出耦合镜反射率的关系.进一步对不同泵浦吸收系数,研究了斜率效率和泵浦阈值与光纤长度的关系.分析结果表明存在最佳光纤长度和最佳耦合输出透过率,使得激光输出功率达到最佳值.  相似文献

A type of As2S3 chalcogenide glass mid-infrared dual-core photonic crystal fiber has been proposed.The dualcore photonic crystal fiber(PCF) consists of two asymmetric cores.The high polarization property and the coupling characteristics have been studied by using the finite element method and mode coupling theory.Numerical results show that the birefringence at wavelength λ = 10 μm is up to 0.01386 and the coupling length can reach wavelength λ = 5 μm,261 μm and 271.44 μm for x-polarized mode and y-polarized mode,respectively.It demonstrates that a 6.786-mm-long fiber can exhibit an extinction ratio of better than 10 dB and a bandwidth of 180 nm.  相似文献

Single-mode excitation of step-index multimode fibers with light sources with short temporal coherence lengths is demonstrated. Multimode fiber designs with reduced microbending-induced mode coupling are described that allow the propagation of the fundamental mode over long lengths with negligible mode coupling even in the presence of tight fiber bends. At a wavelength of 1.56microm a fiber with a core diameter of 45microm can preserve the fundamental mode for a propagation length of ~20m . Such fibers allow coiling with a coil diameter as small as 7cm.  相似文献

针对光纤的泵浦耦合问题,对由两片非球面透镜组成的接近1∶1光纤间空间耦合器进行了计算和实验验证.利用高斯光束的变化规律对光路进行了分析研究,并根据二极管输出光相干性不好的特点,对非球面透镜进行了光路追迹的模拟计算.研究发现,在泵浦光波长等因素发生变化时,利用椭球面透镜组成的耦合系统较双曲面透镜有更高的稳定性.实验中选用符合计算结果要求的非球面透镜组成耦合装置,利用一台二极管激光器(尾纤输出端面直径约200μm,N.A.约0.2)泵浦一段芯径约200μm(N.A.约0.42)的多模光纤,耦合装置的透过率约95%,在光纤端面有反射的条件下约90%的泵浦光耦合进光纤.  相似文献

A method is proposed for calculation of the zero drift and Fedding interference signal at the output of a fiber ring interferometer (FRI) based on a single-mode fiber lightguide (SMFL) with a nonmonochromatic radiation source. The fiber length is divided into sections that are equal to the depolarization length in the SMFL. It is shown that when the FRI is made of an anisotropic SMFL with weak orthogonal-mode coupling, the calculation results agree with those obtained earlier by other calculation methods. Results for an FRI made of a weakly anisotropic SMFL with strong orthogonal-mode coupling are obtained for the first time.Institute of Applied Physics, Russian Academy of Sciences. 设计了一种基于双芯光纤耦合效应和游标效应的高灵敏度温度传感器,传感器是由2个相差一定长度的双芯光子晶体光纤和单模光纤级联构成。双芯光子晶体光纤通过级联实现游标效应,同时对纤芯中间的气孔填充乙醇实现温度传感。仿真结果表明,该温度传感器在35 ℃~45 ℃范围内的平均温度灵敏度可达?20.37 nm/℃。与单纯依靠双芯光子晶体光纤能量耦合效应的传感器相比,该传感器的温度检测灵敏度提高了10倍。  相似文献
