TiC/PVDF nanocomposite is prepared via simple blending and hot pressing route. Percolation theory was employed to explain the dielectric behavior of the TiC/PVDF composites. The dependence of the dielectric properties of the composite on both volume fraction of the filler and frequency is investigated. High dielectric constant (? = 540) and low loss (tan δ = 0.48) of the composites at 100 Hz have been observed near the percolation threshold (0.12). The composites show a weak frequency dependence towards the high frequency range (10–100 kHz), regardless of the TiC content. (© 2009 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)  相似文献

Hybrid (organic–inorganic) solar cells were fabricated and tested using buffer layer of polyaniline (PANI)–poly(vinylidene difluoride) (PVDF) composites. The effect of PANI:PVDF composite on the performance of the solar cells was explored and the cells were characterized by current voltage (I?V) measurements under a solar simulator generating AM1.5 light (1000?W/m2) irradiance. It was found that solar cells containing ITO/PANI:PVDF photo-anode are likely to improve photocurrent and power conversion efficiency in a way superior to that containing only ITO as photo-anode. Furthermore, PANI:PVDF composite enhanced the hole extraction at photo-anode/photo-active layer interface via the high electrical conductivity of PANI and the ferroelectricity of PVDF.  相似文献

In this work, poly(vinilidene fluoride)/Pb(Zr0.53Ti0.47)O3([PVDF]1−x /[PZT] x ) composites of volumetric fractions x and (0–3) type connectivity were prepared in the form of thin films. PZT powder of crystallite size of 0.84, 1.68, and 2.35 μm in different amounts of PZT (10, 20, 30, and 40%) was mixed with the polymeric matrix. The crystalline phase of the polymeric matrix was the nonpolar α-phase and the polar β-phase. Dielectric and dynamic mechanical (DMA) measurements were performed to these composites in order to evaluate the influence of particle size and the amount of PZT filler with respect to the PVDF matrix. The inclusion of ceramic particles in the PVDF polymer matrix increases the complex dielectric constant and dynamical mechanical response of the composites. A similar behavior is observed for the α- or β-phase of the polymeric matrix indicating that the PVDF polymer matrix is not particularly relevant for the composite behavior. On the other hand, ceramic size and especially content play the major role in the increase of the dielectric response and the room temperature storage modulus. In particular, the storage modulus increases with increasing PZT concentration, but this increase is more pronounced, in terms of maximum value, for the sample with 2.35 μm particle size; DMA reveals two main relaxations in the analyzed samples. A low-temperature process maximum at ca. −40°C, usually labeled by β or α a associated to the T g of the polymer and the α-relaxation at temperatures above 30°C. The β-relaxation is also observed in the dielectric measurements. The models used to asses the dielectric behavior of the samples with increasing PZT concentration indicate that the particle–matrix interaction plays a relevant role, as well as the particle asymmetry and relative orientation, being the Yamada model the most appropriate to describe the composite behavior. Bismuth sodium barium titanate/poly(vinylidene fluoride-trifluoroethylene) 70/30 [(Bi0.5Na0.5)0.94Ba0.06TiO3-P(VDF-TrFE)] 0-3 composites were prepared by a hot-press method for different volume fractions of (Bi0.5Na0.5)0.94Ba0.06TiO3 ceramic powder in a P(VDF-TrFE) 70/30 copolymer matrix. The relative permittivity and dielectric loss of the composites increased with increase in the volume fraction of the ceramics, which well follows the Bruggeman model. The polarization responses of the composites were strongly dependent on the ceramic volume fraction. The composites with a higher ceramic volume fraction showed an increase in remanent polarization. At room temperature, a 0.3(Bi0.5Na0.5)0.94Ba0.06TiO3-0.7P(VDF-TrFE) composite showed a relative permittivity εr=30, remanent polarization and coercive field   相似文献

Modified BiScO3-PbTiO3 (BSPT) tetragonal single crystals were grown using high temperature solution method. The dielectric, piezoelectric and elastic properties of single domain BSPT crystals, after poling along [001] crystallographic direction, have been determined experimentally using the resonance method. The results showed that the BSPT tetragonal crystals possess good piezoelectric properties, with electromechanical coupling factor about 88% and piezoelectric coefficient over 400 pC/N at room temperature. BSPT tetragonal crystals have high Curie temperature around 436 °C and high coercive field ∼28 kV/cm, also, the crystal exhibited a very good temperature stability of the properties till 380 °C. For comparison, the material constants of tetragonal Pb(Zn1/3Nb2/3)O3-PbTiO3 (PZNT) single crystals were measured and listed in this paper.  相似文献

This paper reports that the multi-walled carbon nanotubes(MWCNT)/nylon-6 (PA6) nanocomposites with different MWCNT loadingshave been prepared by a simple melt-compounding method. Theelectrical, dielectric, and surface wetting properties of theCNT/PA6 composites have been studied. The temperature dependence ofthe conductivity of the CNT/PA6 composite with 10.0 wt{\%} CNTloading ($\sigma _{\rm RT} \sim 10^{-4}$ S/cm) are measured, andafterwards a charge-energy-limited tunnelling model (ln $\sigma (T)\sim T^{-1/2})$ is found. With increasing CNT weight percentage from0.0 to 10.0 wt%, the dielectric constant of the CNT/PA6composites enhances and the dielectric loss tangent increases twoorders of magnitude. In addition, water contact angles of theCNT/PA6 composites increase and the composites with CNT loadinglarger than 2.0 wt%even become hydrophobic. The obtainedresults indicate that the electrical and surface properties of thecomposites have been significantly enhanced by the embedded carbonnanotubes.  相似文献

Lead zirconate titanate (PZT) ceramic-cement-based composites have increasingly been recognized as an attractive new composite material for use as a sensor in structural applications. In this work, PZT was doped with Sr and Sb (PSZT) to give it greater dielectric constant (ε r) and higher piezoelectric coefficient (d 33) values than normal PZT and is the first time that it is mixed with normal Portland cement to produce a 0–3 connectivity PSZT–Portland cement composite using PSZT contents of 50% and 70% by volume. Scanning electron micrographs show PSZT ceramic particles closely surrounded by the hydrated cement matrix where a dense microstructure can be observed in the interfacial zone. Both the ε r and d 33 values were found to increase with PSZT content and the values are amongst the highest so far for these types of composites, where the ε r and d 33 values reached 590 and 48 pC/N, respectively.  相似文献

The conducting polyaniline/sodium metavenadate (PANI/NaVO3) composites were synthesized by single step in situ polymerization technique by placing finely grinded powder of NaVO3 during the polymerization of aniline. The formation of mixed phases of the polymer together with the conducting emeraldine salt phase was confirmed by spectroscopic techniques like FTIR. SEM images indicated a systematic morphological variation of particles aggregated in the composite matrix as compared to the pristine PANI. AC conductivity and dielectric behavior of these composites were investigated in the frequency range 50 Hz to 5 MHz. It is found that AC conductivity obeyed the power law index and the variation of conductivity with wt% of NaVO3 could be related to conductivity relaxation phenomenon. These composites have shown high dielectric constant, which is related to polarization. It is seen that both dielectric constant and dielectric loss decrease with increase in frequency. Variations in measured parameters of AC response with increasing frequency of these composites are found to follow systematic trends that are similar to those observed with temperature and doping.  相似文献

Dense composites were prepared through incorporating the dispersed Ni0.8Zn0.2Fe2O4 ferromagnetic particles into Sr0.5Ba0.5Nb2O6 ferroelectric matrix. Extrinsic dielectric relaxation and associated high permittivities of the materials are reported in the composites. We used an ideal equivalent circuit to explain electrical responses in impedance formalism. A Debye-like relaxation in the permittivity formalism was also found. Interestingly, real permittivity (ε′) of the sample containing 30% Ni0.8Zn0.2Fe2O4 shows obvious independence of the temperature at 100 kHz. Dielectric relaxation and high-ε′ properties of the composites are explained in terms of the Maxwell-Wagner (MW) polarization model.  相似文献

Polymer/conductive ceramic composites with high dielectric constant have become research hotspot of dielectric capacitor materials. However, the conductivity and dielectric loss increase when high dielectric constant is achieved. In order to reconcile high dielectric constant and low dielectric loss, in this study, poly (vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF)/chromium carbide (Cr2C3)/montmorillonite (MMT) ternary composite films were prepared by solution cast. Dielectric response based on interfacial polarization was improved and dielectric constant of composites was increased. MMT ceramic was used to suppress interface leakage current. Compared with PVDF/Cr2C3 composites, the conductivity and dielectric loss of ternary composites were reduced.  相似文献

Bi3.25La0.75Ti3O12 (BLT) thin films were fabricated on Pt/Ti/SiO2/Si(1 0 0) substrates by chemical solution deposition (CSD), and the dependence of ferroelectric and dielectric properties of the as-deposited BLT thin films on excess Bi content in precursor sols was studied. It is found that the prepared BLT thin film shows the best polarization-electric field, capacitance-voltage and dielectric constant (?r)-frequency characteristics, when the value of excess Bi content in precursor sols is 10%. In detail, its remnant polarization (2Pr) value is 40 μC/cm2, the capacitance tunability is 21% measured at room temperature under conditions of an applied voltage of 8 V and measurement frequency of 10 kHz, and the ?r is 696 at 100 kHz frequency.  相似文献

Bismuth doped bismuth sodium titanate ceramics [(Bi1/2Na1/2)(1−1.5x)BixTiO3, x=0 to 0.06] were prepared, and the resulting effects on the microstructure and dielectric properties were examined. All of the Bi-doped ceramics exhibited a single phase of perovskite structure with rhombohedral symmetry. The poling leakage current was significantly reduced by the doping of Bi, facilitating the poling process of the ceramics. The doping with Bi enhances the piezoelectric properties and increases the dielectric constant and the dielectric loss of the ceramics. At 2 mol% Bi-doping level, the ceramics exhibit a large remanent polarization of 47 μC/cm2 and a relatively low coercive field of 71 kV/cm, while their d33 and kp reach a maximum value of 95 pC/N and 21%, respectively.  相似文献

The effect of a dc bias field on the diffuse phase transition and nonlinear dielectric properties of sol-gel derived Ba(Zr0.2Ti0.8)O3 (BZT) ceramics are investigated. Diffuse phase transitions were observed in BZT ceramics and the Curie–Weiss exponent (CWE) was γ∼2.0. The dielectric constant versus temperature characteristics and the γ in the modified Curie–Weiss law, ε −1=ε m −1[1+(TT m ) γ /C1](1≤γ≤2), as a function of the dc bias field was obtained for BZT ceramics. The results indicated that γ is a function of dc bias field, and the γ value decreased from 2.04 to 1.73 with dc bias field increasing from 0 to 20 kV/cm. The dielectric constant decreases with increasing dc bias field, indicating a field-induced phase transition. The dc bias field has a strong effect on the position of the dielectric peak and affects the magnitude of the dielectric properties over a rather wide temperature range. The peak temperature of the dielectric loss does not coincide with the dielectric peak and an obvious minimum value for the dielectric loss at the temperature of the dielectric peaks is observed. At room temperature, 300 K, the high tunability (K=80%), the low loss tangent (≈0.01) and the large FOM (74), clearly imply that these ceramics are promising materials for tunable capacitor-device applications.  相似文献

(K0.5Na0.5)NbO3 (KNN) based lead free ceramics have been fabricated by a solid state reaction. In this work, LiSbO3 (LS) modified KNN based ceramics were sintered at atmospheric pressure and high density (>96% theoretical) was obtained. The detailed elastic, dielectric, piezoelectric and electromechanical properties were characterized by using the resonance technique combined with the ultrasonic method. The full set of material constants for the obtained polycrystalline ceramics were determined and compared to the pure hot pressed KNN counterpart. KNN-LS polycrystalline ceramic was found to have higher elastic compliance, dielectric permittivity and piezoelectric strain coefficients, but lower mechanical quality factor, when compared to pure KNN, exhibiting a “softening” behavior. However, a high coercive field (∼17 kV/cm) was found for the LS modified KNN material. The properties as a function of temperature were determined in the range of −50-250 °C, showing a polymorphic phase transition near room temperature, giving rise to improved piezoelectric behavior.  相似文献

To study the factors affecting the dielectric and piezoelectric properties of bismuth-containing complex perovskites, the solid solution (1−x)Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-xBi(Mg2/3Nb1/3)O3 was prepared by the solid state reaction method and its dielectric and piezoelectric properties were investigated. It is found that (1) at room temperature, the nonlinearity of the DE-loop for Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3 is completely suppressed at a rather low x (<5%); (2) dielectric constant versus temperature curves deviate from the Curie-Weiss law at a temperature Td much higher than the dielectric constant peak temperature Tm and TmTd decreases considerably with increasing x; and (3) frequency dispersion ΔTm=Tm (1 MHz)−Tm (10 kHz) increases with increasing x. Possible factors responsible for the variation of the dielectric and piezoelectric properties with x are discussed.  相似文献

In this work, the combination of graphene decorated with graphene quantum dots (G-D-GQDs) and barium titanate (BaTiO3) nanoparticles filled poly (vinyledene fluoride) (PVDF) nanocomposites are prepared using solvent casting method. The modification of G-D-GQDs and BaTiO3 nanoparticles with polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) show finer dispersion in PVDF matrix as compared to unmodified G-D-GQDs and BaTiO3 nanoparticles in PVDF matrix. XRD of PVDF nanocomposites shows the formation of α and β form of PVDF crystals. The incorporation of the combination of PVP modified BaTiO3 nanoparticles and G-D-GQDs in PVDF matrix show a decrease in crystallization temperature (Tc), percent crystallinity (Xc) and increase in thermal stability as compared to unmodified PVDF/BaTiO3/G-D-GQDs nanocomposites, due to interaction of PVP modified nanoparticles with PVDF. Further, the incorporation of the combination of 20 wt.% BaTiO3 nanoparticles and 3 wt.% G-D-GQDs in PVDF matrix show a giant dielectric constant. The giant dielectric constant is achieved due to accumulation of more charges across conductor-insulator interface, more numbers of microcapacitor formed and enhanced interfacial compatibility between BaTiO3/G-D-GQDs with PVDF through PVP. The loss tangent (tan δ) of PVP modified G-D-GQDs and BaTiO3 nanoparticles and its PVDF nanocomposites is low due to lower leakage current, which make the material suitable for various applications.  相似文献

Hematite dendrites/polyaniline (HDs/PANI) nanocomposite, i.e. coating HDs with conductive PANI, has been successfully synthesized through a two-step polymerization of aniline monomers on the surface of pre-synthesized HDs for the first time. It is discovered that a lower concentration of HCl (0.02 mol?L?1) has only a slight adverse effect on the dendritic structures of the coated HDs, while a higher concentration of HCl (0.04 mol?L?1) results in severe damage to the sub-branches of the HDs. The morphology, composition, structure, static magnetic, and spectral properties of the as-prepared pristine HDs and HDs/PANI composites were thoroughly characterized by various physicochemical techniques. Moreover, the electromagnetic and microwave absorbing properties of the HDs and HDs/PANI wax composites were compared in detail. It was found that the frequency of absorption obeys a quarter-wavelength model for both of them, and the HDs/PANI wax composite exhibits far superior microwave absorption properties. This phenomenon can be attributed to the improved dielectric loss abilities and the complementary behaviors resulting from the PANI coatings and fractal-structured HDs.  相似文献

In this paper, the effects of carbon nanotubes (CNT) implantation and sisal fibre size on the electrical properties of sisal fibre-reinforced epoxy composites are reported. For this purpose, the epoxy composites reinforced with CNT-implanted sisal fibre of 5 mm and 10 mm lengths were prepared by hand moulding and samples characterized for their electrical properties, such as dielectric constant (ε′), dielectric dissipation factor (tan δ) and AC conductivity (σac) at different temperatures and frequencies. It was observed that the dielectric constant increases with increase in temperature and decreases with increase in frequency from 500 Hz to 5 KHz. Interestingly, the sample having CNT-implanted sisal fibre of 5 mm length exhibited the highest value of dielectric constant than the one with length 10 mm. This is attributed to the increased surface area of sisal fibre and enhancement of the interfacial polarization. At a constant volume and a length of 5 mm of the fibres, the number of interfaces per unit volume element is high and results in a higher interfacial polarization. The interfaces decrease as the fibre length increases, and therefore, the value of ε′ decreases at 10 mm fibre length. The peak value of the dielectric constant decreases with increasing frequency. A continuous decrease in dissipation factor (tan δ) with increasing frequency for all samples was observed, while at lower temperatures, the values of tan δ remains approximately same. The AC conductivity for 5 mm length sisal epoxy composite and 10 mm length sisal fibre–epoxy composites is higher than that of pure epoxy at all the frequencies.  相似文献

BaxSr1-xTiO3 thin films with a compositional gradient of x=0.3 to 1 (in 0.1 mole fraction increments) were fabricated on Pt/Ti/SiO2/Si substrates using a modified sol–gel technique. The graded film crystallised in a perovskite structure and consists of a uniform microstructure with comparatively larger grains. The room-temperature relative dielectric constant (εr) and dielectric loss (cosδ) at 100 kHz were found to be 305 and 0.03 respectively. Dielectric peaks were not observed in the temperature range from -20 °C to 120 °C. The dielectric constant and dielectric loss were almost independent of temperature. Polarisation–electric field measurements at room temperature revealed a saturated but slim hysteresis loop with a remanent polarisation (Pr) of 0.6 μC/cm2 and a coercive field (Ec) of 2.4 kV/mm. The graded film behaves as a stack of BaxSr1-xTiO3 capacitors connected in series and hence the dielectric Curie peaks are removed. The electrical properties namely ac conductivity σ(ω,?T) and the complex dielectric permittivity (ε*) are measured at selected frequencies (5–100?kHz) as function of temperature (95?K?T?4IO3. The ferroelectric hysteresis loops and the X-ray diffraction pattern are also measured. The analysis of the data indicates that the compound undergoes a structural phase transition at ~103?K and the behavior of σ(ω,?T) obeys the power law. The trend of the temperature dependence of the angular frequency exponent s (0?s?4IO3; (2) the data indicate that the compound undergoes a structural phase transition at 103?K; (3) the originality of this transition has been confirmed by X-ray diffraction; (4) no evidence for the existence of a ferroelectric transition at 103?K as mentioned earlier; and (5) the quantum mechanical tunneling is proposed as the main mechanism of the electric conduction.  相似文献
