A new method generating multiple-beams mutually pumped phase conjugation (MMPPC) in a photorefractive Bat- xSrxTiO3 crystal is demonstrated, in which a pumping beam is incident upon a-face of the crystal and two signal beams are introduced into + c face of the crystal with the almost same incident angle and position. The time evolution of the phase conjugations from signal beams and the dependence of phase-conjugate reflectivities on the input-beam intensity ratios are presented. Also, the amplitude coupled-wave equations based on the model of two interaction reigns is derived. The results obtained by numerical calculation of the corresponding coupled-wave equations show qualitative agreement with the experimental results.  相似文献

We demonstrate the simultaneous phase conjugation of multiple beams incident on the a face of a photorefractive barium titanate crystal. The input beam power, angle and position were set so that no phase conjugation occurs unless a switchable incoherent inducing beam is present on the — c face of the crystal. The use of the inducing technique with two mutually pumped phase conjugations for four input beams, or one self-pumped and one mutually pumped phase conjugation for three input beams can be performed in a crystal. Unlike the setup of conventional phase conjugation, which requires more precise arrangements, the novel setup of the multi-beam induced phase conjugation is relatively relaxed. The mechanism responsible for our discovery is qualitatively explained, and possible applications are mentioned.  相似文献

针对单发次飞秒激光脉冲波形的测量,入射光夹角和晶体的偏转姿态是光路精确调节中的关键影响因素,为了精确描述入射光夹角和晶体的偏转与输出自相关信号的关系,我们对和频过程进行理论分析和推导。文中对入射光夹角的取值范围进行数学推导和计算,并定量分析了输出的自相关信号与晶体的姿态的关系。结果表明,要满足位相匹配条件,入射夹角存在一个最小值为30.114°;产生的自相关信号输出方向对晶体的转动姿态不敏感,输出强度对参与耦合的两入射光束的夹角敏感;对晶体的转动姿态容量较大,且晶体越薄越不敏感;自相关信号的时间分辨力由晶体内参与耦合的两入射光束的夹角决定,改变晶体外的夹角不会改变时间分辨力。  相似文献

The interaction of three forward beams in a BSO crystal is investigated under conditions when the two pump beams are anti-symmetrically detuned and the signal beam is phase modulated. For sinusoidal phase modulation the signal gain is shown to be dependent on the instantaneous frequency detuning. Single and double maxima in gain are obtained depending on the voltage amplitude applied to the piezoelectric mirror. For triangular phase modulation a slight asymmetry is found in the gain versus detuning curve.  相似文献

Cat mutually pumped phase conjugation configuration is discovered and investigated by using two-wave mixing in (KyNa1-y)2z(SrxBa1-x)1-zNb2O6 (KNSBN) crystal. When only one signal or pumped beam does not give birth to phase conjugation, the maximum reflectivity of signal and pumped beam attain 140% and 30% due to two-wave mixing, respectively. The experimental results show that the two-wave mixing can reduce the threshold of incident beams power, extend the incident angle range, and shorten response rate in the process of self-pumped phase conjugator (SPPC) in KNSBN crystal.  相似文献

We consider the optimum incident angles of cross polarized four-wave mixing with a photorefractive crystal. First, the phase matching angles are obtained for two operation modes: one in which the writing beams are ordinary rays and the reading beam is an extraordinary ray, we call this Mode 1. The other in which the writing beams are extraordinary rays and the reading beam is an ordinary ray, Mode 2. Next, practicable ranges of the incident angles are calculated considering of the total internal reflection of the phase conjugate beam in cases where the two writing beams illuminate the same surface of the BaTiO3 crystal and where they illuminate the neighboring right-angled surfaces, respectively. Then, the coupling coefficient is determined as a function of the incident angle, and the optimum incident angles for effective beam interaction in Mode 1 and Mode 2 are estimated.  相似文献

功率为1mW左右的He-Ne激光束在Mn:KNSBN晶体中实现四波混频相位共轭。入射光相对于晶体主光轴的取向及入射光偏振组态对相位共轭反射率都有很大的影响。当物光近于布儒斯特角入射时,反射率可达60%。建立时间约为60sec的光折变光栅具有18hr左右的寿命。晶体中观察到诱导四波混频相位共轭。  相似文献

依据非局域非线性介质中双光束传输时遵循的非局域非线性薛定谔耦合方程,在强非局域情形下,通过把响应函数作泰勒展开近似取到二阶,运用变分法求出了正交偏振、中心重合的双厄米高斯光束在强非局域介质中传输时各参量演化规律和一个临界功率,并运用分步傅里叶算法数值模拟出了束宽和相位的演化规律。当两光束以临界功率入射时,得到了正交偏振、中心重合的双厄米高斯空间光孤子及其大相移演化规律。当两光束以总临界功率入射,但两束光的入射功率不等时,光束可以形成呼吸子,但随着阶数的增加呼吸子将越来越不稳定。对于各阶呼吸子,功率大的束宽都作周期性压缩振荡变化,功率小的束宽都作周期性展宽振荡变化,且两呼吸子中功率大的相移随传输距离增加更快。在厄米高斯光束阶数小于5时,变分解得到的结果与数值解吻合较好。  相似文献

We derived the coupling equations of two-wave coupling in photorefractive crystals in 90° geometry where pump and signal beams enter two mutually orthogonal crystal faces vertically. The temporal behavior of the bidirectional phase-conjugate outputs from a coherently induced phase conjugator has been observed on a Cu-doped barium strontium potassium sodium niobate crystal. In our experiment, the phase-conjugate outputs of two incident beams vary smoothly with time if the beam ratio is large. When the beam ratio is reduced, however, each phase conjugate output will experience a temporal fluctuation. The phase-conjugate output characteristic is found to be dependent on the beam ratio of the two input beams, their positions, their beam-path-length difference and sometimes the input order of the two beams. We present a model of multi-region-interaction to explain the operation of the device and the experimental results in this paper.  相似文献

基于两块不同尺寸的Cu∶KNSBN晶体自抽运相位共轭实验,研究了光折变晶体的几何结构及入射角度对自抽运相位共轭特性的影响,得到在入射位置不变化的情况下,随着入射角度的变化相位共轭光输出有最大值,几何结构不同对应的最大值不同。并从理论上分析了晶体结构及入射角度在双作用区自抽运相位共轭机理中的作用,指出几何结构、入射角度与自抽运光通道、耦合系数的关系,及在自抽运相位共轭效应中存在一个最佳入射角度,这时相位共轭光输出最大。最后,对理论上的相位共轭反射率公式进行了修正。对自抽运相位共轭实际应用中,选择最佳入射角度提供了理论和实验依据。  相似文献

It is shown that two pump beams incident upon a bismuth silicon oxide crystal give rise to a subharmonic beam bisecting the pump beam. Simultaneously a signal beam injected between the pump beams may be strongly amplified at the expense of the pump beams. It is shown that the amplified signal beam grows with a faster time constant than the subharmonic beam and that there is competition for gain in the steady state regime.  相似文献

Specific features of the acousto-optic diffraction of Bessel light beams propagating in the vicinity of the optical axis of a uniaxial gyrotropic crystal have been investigated. The dependences of the diffraction efficiency on the acousto-optic interaction length, ultrasound power, and polarization state of the incident Bessel light beam have been analyzed using the coupled-wave equations and the overlap-integral method. It is shown that polarization-independent diffraction of Bessel light beams is observed in paratellurite crystals, when the Bragg diffraction efficiency is independent of the polarization state of the incident beam. The physical reason for this diffraction has been established (both theoretically and experimentally) to be simultaneous implementation of two processes of anisotropic scattering, at which the Bragg synchronism conditions are satisfied for orthogonal polarized Bessel beams with elliptical polarization.  相似文献

A general theory of the two-beam coupling between a pump beam and a signal beam in photorefractive materials is presented. The coupled wave equations describing the non-linear two beam coupling are derived, based on Maxwell's wave equation. The coupled equation for the intensities of the two beams in the photorefractive crystals with the absorbing properties have been derived analytically. The intensity of the signal beam increases with the increasing crystal thickness, reaches a maximum and then decreases. The influence of energy beam coupling coefficient, oscillation frequency shift, crystal thickness, absorption coefficient and the input beam intensity ratio on the signal beam intensity have been studied in details. The effect of the photoconductivity of the materials on the intensities of the two beams in both the co-directional as well as contra-directional two beam coupling cases have been studied.  相似文献
