We explore the effect of the external magnetic and Aharonov–Bohm (AB) flux fields on the energy levels of Dirac particle subjects to mixed scalar and vector anharmonic oscillator field in the two-dimensional (2D) space. We calculate the exact energy eigenvalues and the corresponding un-normalized two-spinor-components wave functions in terms of the chemical potential parameter, magnetic field strength, AB flux field and magnetic quantum number by using the Nikiforov–Uvarov (NU) method.  相似文献

We study the spectral properties of electron quantum dots (QDs) confined in 2D parabolic harmonic oscillator influenced by external uniform electrical and magnetic fields together with an Aharonov–Bohm (AB) flux field. We use the Nikiforov–Uvarov method in our calculations. Exact solutions for the energy levels and normalized wave functions are obtained for this exactly soluble quantum system. Based on the computed one-particle energetic spectrum and wave functions, the interband optical absorption GaAs spherical shape parabolic QDs is studied theoretically and the total optical absorption coefficient is calculated.  相似文献

We use the Lewis-Riesenfeld theory to determine the exact form of the wavefunctions of a two-dimensionnal harmonic oscillator with time-dependent mass and frequency in presence of the Aharonov-Bohm effect (AB). We find that the auxiliary equation is independent of the AB magnetic flux. In the particular case of quantized AB magnetic flux the wavefunctions coincide exactly with the wavefunctions of the 2D time-dependent harmonic oscillator. PACS: 03.65Ge; 03.65Fd; 03.65Bz  相似文献

We solve the Schr?dinger equation with a position-dependent mass(PDM) charged particle interacted via the superposition of the Morse-plus-Coulomb potentials and is under the influence of external magnetic and Aharonov–Bohm(AB) flux fields. The nonrelativistic bound state energies together with their wave functions are calculated for two spatially-dependent mass distribution functions. We also study the thermal quantities of such a system. Further, the canonical formalism is used to compute various thermodynamic variables for second choosing mass by using the Gibbs formalism. We give plots for energy states as a function of various physical parameters. The behavior of the internal energy, specific heat, and entropy as functions of temperature and mass density parameter in the inverse-square mass case for different values of magnetic field are shown.  相似文献

Using the Nikiforov–Uvarov (NU) method, the energy levels and the wave functions of an electron confined in a two-dimensional (2D) pseudoharmonic quantum dot are calculated under the influence of temperature and an external magnetic field inside dot and Aharonov–Bohm (AB) field inside a pseudodot. The exact solutions for energy eigenvalues and wave functions are computed as functions of the chemical potential parameters, applied magnetic field strength, AB flux field, magnetic quantum number and temperature. Analytical expression for the light interband absorption coefficient and absorption threshold frequency are found as functions of applied magnetic field and geometrical size of quantum pseudodot. The temperature dependence energy levels for GaAs semiconductor are also calculated.  相似文献

We investigate the energy spectrum and the corresponding wave functions of an electron confined by a pseudoharmonic potential both including harmonic dot and antidot potentials in the presence of a strong magnetic field together with an Aharonov-Bohm flux field. Exact solutions for the energy levels and wave functions are found for this exactly soluble system. These are all tested under various conditions and also are compared with other works found in the literature. Further, we discuss the related energy spectrum in terms of special values of the proposed pseudoharmonic potential, AB field and magnetic field as a function of magnetic quantum number and magnetic field.  相似文献

We have theoretically analyzed the quasibound states in a graphene quantum dot (GQD) with a magnetic flux Φ in the centre. It is shown that the two-fold time reversal degeneracy is broken and the quasibound states of GQD with positive/negative angular momentum shifted upwards /downwards with increasing the magnetic flux. The variation of the quasibound energy depends linearly on the magnetic flux, which is quite different from theparabolic relationship for Schrödinger electrons. The GQD's quasibound states spectrum shows an obvious Aharonov-Bohm (AB) oscillations with the magnetic flux. It is also shown that the quasibound state with energy equal to the barrier height becomes a bound state completely confined in GQD.  相似文献

A mesoscale Aharonov-Bohm (AB) ring with a quantum dot (QD) embedded in each arm is computationally modeled for unique transmission properties arising from a combination of AB effects and Zeeman splitting of the QD energy levels. A tight-binding Hamiltonian is solved, providing analytical expressions for the transmission as a function of system parameters. Transmission resonances with spin-polarized output are presented for cases involving either a perpendicular field, or a parallel field, or both. The combination of the AB-effect with Zeeman splitting allows sensitive control of the output resonances of the device, manifesting in spin-polarized states which separate and cross as a function of applied field. In the case with perpendicular flux, the AB-oscillations exhibit atypical non-periodicity, and Fano-type resonances appear as a function of magnetic flux due to the flux-dependent shift in the QD energy levels via the Zeeman effect.  相似文献

Quantum spin transport in a mesoscopic Aharonov--Bohm ring with two leads subject to a magnetic field with circular configuration is investigated by means of one-dimensional quantum waveguide theory.Within the framework of Landauer--B\"{u}ttiker formalism, the polarization direction of transmitted electrons can be controlled either by the AB magnetic flux or by the tangent magnetic field. In particular, the spin flips can be induced by hopping the AB magnetic flux or the tangent field.  相似文献

The Hall effect and magnetoresistance of a mesoscopic system having a four-probe ring geometry are calculated in a tight-binding model, either ordered or disordered, as function of magnetic flux and Fermi energy. The changes induced in the spectrum by the magnetic field affect differently the Aharonov-Bohm (AB) oscillating pattern of the two resistances: after the gap reaches the Fermi energy, the Hall effect remains bounded while the magnetoresistance increases exponentially with the sample size. The results are shown to depend significantly on the number and geometry of the probes.  相似文献

We have investigated the mesoscopic transport properties of a quantum dot embedded Aharonov-Bohm (AB) interferometer applied with a rotating magnetic field. The spin-flip effect is induced by the rotating magnetic field, and the tunneling current is sensitive to the spin-flip effect. The spin-flipped electrons tunneling from the direct channel and the resonant channel interfere with each other to form spin-polarized tunneling current components. The non-resonant tunneling (direct transmission) strength and the AB phase φ play important roles. When the non-resonant tunneling (background transmission) exists, the spin and charge currents form asymmetric peaks and valleys, which exhibit Fano-type line shapes by varying the source-drain bias voltage, or gate voltage. The AB oscillations of the spin and charge currents exhibit distinct dependence on the magnetic flux and direct tunneling strength.  相似文献

We study the equations of motion of a spherical oscillator model suggested by Bellucci and Nersessian, in the presence of a constant magnetic field. This model is shown to be exactly solvable classically in contrast to the Higgs oscillator which is not exactly solvable in magnetic fields.  相似文献

Optical properties of a two-dimensional quantum ring with pseudopotential in the presence of an external magnetic field and magnetic flux have been theoretically investigated. Our results show that both of the pseudopotential and magnetic field can affect the third non-linear susceptibility and oscillator strength. In addition, we found that the oscillator strength and the absolute value of the resonant peak of the linear, non-linear and total absorption coefficient demonstrates the Aharonov-Bohm oscillation with magnetic flux, moreover, changes in confinement potential can influence the Aharonov-Bohm oscillation in peak while the resonant peak value of the linear, non-linear and total refractive index changes decreases as magnetic flux increases.  相似文献

We report on experiments giving evidence for quantum effects of electromagnetic flux in barium alumosilicate glass. In contrast to expectation, below 100 mK the dielectric response becomes sensitive to magnetic fields. The experimental findings include both lifting of the dielectric saturation by weak magnetic fields and oscillations of the dielectric response in the low temperature resonant regime. As the origin of these effects we suggest that the magnetic induction field violates the time reversal invariance leading to a flux periodicity in the energy levels of tunneling systems. At low temperatures, this effect is strongly enhanced by the interaction between tunneling systems and thus becomes measurable.  相似文献

We consider a two-terminal Aharonov-Bohm (AB) interferometer with a quantum dot inserted in one path of the AB ring. We investigate the transport properties of this system in and out of the Kondo regime. We utilize perturbation theory to calculate the electron self-energy of the quantum dot with respect to the intradot Coulomb interaction. We show the expression of the Kondo temperature as a function of the AB phase together with its dependence on other characteristics such as the linewidth of the ring and the finite Coulomb interaction and the energy levels of the quantum dot. The current oscillates periodically as a function of the AB phase. The amplitude of the current oscillation decreases with increasing Coulomb interaction. For a given temperature, the electron transport through the AB interferometer can be selected to be in or out of the Kondo regime by changing the magnetic flux threading perpendicular to the AB ring of the system.  相似文献

Linear and nonlinear optical absorption spectra are studied theoretically for semiconductor nanorings penetrated by a magnetic field. Due to the Aharanov-Bohm effect the spectral position as well as the oscillator strength of the exciton change periodically as function of the magnetic flux enclosed by the ring. In the nonlinear differential absorption spectra it is found that the magnetic field strongly modifies Coulomb many-body correlations. In particular, the magnetic-field-induced increase of the exciton binding energy is accompanied by a decrease of the biexciton binding energy. The persistence of these effects in the presence of energetic disorder is analyzed. Received 31 January 2001  相似文献

We present novel resonant phenomena through parallel non-coupled double quantum dots (QDs) embedded in each arm of an Aharonov-Bohm (AB) ring with magnetic flux passing through its center. The electron transmission through this AB ring with each QD formed by two short-range potential barriers is calculated using a scattering matrix at each junction and a transfer matrix in each arm. We show that as the magnetic flux modulates, a distortion of the grid-like square transmission occurs and an anti-crossing of the resonances appears. Hence, the modulation of magnetic flux in this system can have an equivalent effect to the control of inter-dot coupling between the two QDs.  相似文献

In this paper we investigate the effects of external electric and magnetic fields on a three-dimensional harmonic oscillator with axial symmetry. The energy spectrum of such a system is non-degenerate due to the presence of the magnetic field. The degeneracy of the energy spectrum in the absence of a magnetic field is discussed. The influence of electric and magnetic fields, as well as the frequencies of the oscillator on the probability distribution function is analyzed. Optical transition probabilities are examined by deriving the selection rules in dipole approximation for the quantum numbers n p , m l and n z . Employing stationary perturbation theory, the effects of deformations of the potential energy function on the oscillatory states are analyzed. Such models have been used in literature in analysis of spectra of axially symmetrical molecules and cylindrical quantum dots.  相似文献
