在众多实现太赫兹辐射的方法中, 非线性光学共线差频能够实现高功率、宽波段、连续可调谐的太赫兹波辐射. 理论分析表明, 各向同性磷化镓晶体, 在1064 nm附近波长激光共线差频下具有毫米量级的相干长度, 能够满足高功率宽波段的太赫兹辐射条件.实验证明, 磷化镓晶体共线差频实现高功率宽波段的太赫兹光辐射, 其太赫兹光波长调谐范围为95.9–773.4 μm (0.39–3.13 THz), 最高峰值功率7 W位于频率2.0 THz处.该实验结果与理论计算基本保持一致. 关键词: 太赫兹源 磷化镓 共线差频  相似文献

计算模拟了在ps脉冲抽运周期结构GaAs晶体差频产生窄带THz波过程中,对于不同波长、不同脉宽的抽运光,周期结构GaAs晶体的走离长度和最佳周期长度的变化,并对计算结果进行了理论分析.研究了周期结构GaAs晶体的畴数对THz波光谱的影响.根据GaAs晶体温度色散公式,计算并分析了晶体最佳周期长度的温度调谐特性,研究了温度变化对THz波光谱的影响,提出了通过温度调谐实现在周期结构GaAs晶体中产生宽调谐、窄带宽THz波的新方法,该计算结果为下一步的实验研究提供了理论基础. 关键词: ps脉冲 差频产生窄带THz波 周期结构GaAs晶体 温度调谐  相似文献

室温工作的连续可调谐相干光源在痕量气体检测技术中有着重要应用价值,光学非线性变换是获得室温运转中红外相干光源的有效途径,是对传统激光技术的有效补充.研究了基于准相位匹配原理的差频激光系统的温度和信号光波长调谐特性,从准相位匹配技术的一般位相匹配关系出发,推导了PPLN晶体差频准相位匹配的温度和信号光波长匹配带宽解析表达式;建立了基于PPLN晶体准相位匹配原理的宽调谐差频中红外激光系统,实现了3.2~3.7üm中红外相干光输出,最大输出功率约为1üW;对系统温度和信号光波长调谐特性进行实验研究,并与理论结果进行了比较和分析.  相似文献

基于单轴晶体中三波互作用的共线相位匹配技术,采用CO2激光器泵浦非线性晶体AgGaSe2,数值计算出在oee类和oeo类相位匹配条件下,差频产生太赫兹波的相位匹配角、走离角、允许角和有效非线性系数。计算结果表明:两类相位匹配太赫兹波可调谐的范围都非常宽,而且走离角都在1°以下,允许角足够大。在绝大部分太赫兹波区域,oee类匹配有效非线性系数远大于oeo类匹配,实验中适合采用oee类相位匹配方式。  相似文献

基于自发成核法自行生长的4-(4-二甲基氨基苯乙烯基)甲基吡啶对甲苯酸盐(DAST)晶体,可实现宽带可调谐THz辐射输出。实验探究饱和生长溶液质量浓度对晶体生长形态和光学质量的影响,并结合晶体的拉曼光谱,对其生色团振动和转动特性进行分析。采用波长为1.3~1.5μm的高能量、可调谐双波长的激光为泵浦光,基于0类相位匹配外腔差频和电控振镜快速扫描技术,实现了0.1~20.0THz的宽带THz辐射输出。在18.9THz处,每个脉冲最大输出能量为3.59μJ,转换效率为2.39×10-4。基于宽带THz输出谱可知,DAST晶体对THz波的吸收主要是因为晶格振动引起的。  相似文献

基于LiNbO3晶体垂直表面输出技术,设计了一台小型化外腔THz参量振荡器。利用小型化灯1064 nm脉冲激光器泵浦MgO:LiNbO3,通过优化设计三波非共线相位匹配的光学参量振荡腔结构,实现THz垂直晶体表面输出,减少LiNbO3晶体对THz波的吸收,提高了THz波输出光束质量。当在泵浦光能量为128 mJ、重复频率为10 Hz时,获得THz波的调谐范围为0.69~3.01 THz,在1.6 THz处获得THz波最大平均功率为10.8 W,脉冲宽度为10 ns,对应THz波能量转换效率为8.4310-6。  相似文献

It is shown that the coherence lengths for terahertz (THz) generation based on difference-frequency generation within an ultrafast infrared pulse can be sufficiently long for a wide bandwidth about each phase-matching wavelength owing to a slight dispersion in the THz region. As a result, quasi-single-cycle THz pulses can be efficiently generated. An efficient conversion for the parametric process is made possible not only by use of the wide phase-matching bandwidth but also by optimization of the pulse width for each peak THz frequency. I have investigated the strong-pump regime and found the limits to the conversion efficiencies to generate high peak intensities efficiently for THz waves with which to explore nonlinear regimes of the THz interactions.  相似文献

We theoretically propose surface-emitted and collinear phase-matched terahertz (THz)-wave generation in a conventional optical fiber. The third-order nonlinear effect, four-wave mixing (FWM), is used to generate THz waves in an optical fiber. Surface-emitted THz-wave generation via FWM is realized using a single-mode fiber. Perfect phase matching is obtained at ~800 nm and 1.5 microm pumping, and it follows that third-order polarization in an optical fiber has the same phase at any point. In this situation, the optical fiber acts like a phased array antenna of the THz wave. Collinear phase-matching THz waves are obtained under the same conditions as for surface-emitted THz waves, and the THz wave is propagated in the silica cladding of the optical fiber. This is a promising method for realizing a reasonable THz-wave source.  相似文献

We observe conical sum-frequency generation in a bulk anomalous-like dispersion medium, which is attributed to complete phase-matching of one fundamental wave and the scattering wave of the other fundamental wave.In addition, efficient sum-frequency output is achieved making use of total internal reflection with conversion efficiency of 7.9% by only one reflection. The experiment proposes a new phase-matching mode under an anomalous-like dispersion condition, which suggests potential applications in efficient frequency conversion.  相似文献

Widely tunable terahertz (THz)-wave generation using difference frequency generation (DFG) in an organic N-benzyl-2-methyl-4-nitroaniline (BNA) crystal was demonstrated. To our knowledge, this is the first report of THz-wave generation by BNA DFG. Large, high-quality single crystals of BNA (phi 8 mm x 30 mm) were grown using the vertical Bridgman method. The nonlinear optical (NLO) coefficient d(33) of the BNA crystal is approximately 234 pm/V, which is the largest value reported for any yellow NLO material. The collinear phase-matching condition of the type-0 configuration is satisfied using a 0.7-1 microm band pump wavelength. We generated THz waves using an organic BNA crystal; the generation range is 0.1-15 THz.  相似文献

对光子晶体光纤包层3个空气孔之间节区的传光特性进行了分析, 对比了纤芯与包层节区传光的模场面积、非线性系数及色散特性, 得到光子晶体光纤包层节区具有小芯、高非线性的特点.在包层空气孔较大的情况下, 得到了双零色散曲线.根据色散曲线, 分析了色散波产生的相位匹配特性, 得到了色散波中心波长随抽运波长及功率的变化规律.制备出了所设计的光子晶体光纤, 实验得到了在可见光及红外大于300 nm的宽带色散波, 并给出了色散波随抽运波长及功率的变化规律.实验和理论分析结果一致, 为波长变换及超连续宽带光源的研究奠定了基础. 关键词: 光子晶体光纤 色散波 相位匹配 非线性  相似文献

A new scheme which generates multi-frequency terahertz (THz) waves from planar waveguide by the optimized cascaded difference frequency generation (OCDFG) is proposed. A THz wave with frequency ωT1 is generated by the OCDFG with two infrared pump waves, and simultaneously a series of cascaded optical waves with a frequency interval ωT1 is generated. The THz wave with a frequency of M-times ωT1 is generated by mixing the m-th-order and the (m+M)-th-order cascaded optical wave. The phase mismatch distributions of cascaded difference frequency generation (CDFG) are modulated by changing the thickness of planar waveguide step by step, thereby satisfying the phase-matching condition from first-order to high-order cascaded Stokes process step by step. As a result, the intensity of THz wave can be enhanced and modulated by controlling the cascading order of OCDFG.  相似文献

An optical second-harmonic wave can be generated in a three-layered optical waveguide of arbitrary film thickness under phase-matching condition. Phase-matching is achieved by utilizing mode dispersion in an optical waveguide with a two-dimensional configuration. A numerical analysis of the matching condition is given and the results of the observation of the optical second-harmonic wave of a guided Nd : YAG laser in a Ti-indiffused LiNbO3 nonlinear film are described.  相似文献

Nonlinear optical effects for frequency conversion require a phase-matching condition to efficiently generate a coherent field at the new wavelength. We find that the phase-matching condition can be replaced by a resonance condition when the nonlinear effect takes place in a waveguide directional coupler. We apply this theory to second-harmonic generation and find a theoretical conversion efficiency of 100%, equivalent to the perfect phase-matching condition. An example of the design of such waveguide directional coupler is presented.  相似文献

基于电磁场理论,推导了无耗非线性左手材料中二次谐波的曼利-诺关系,及相位匹配条件下正向基波与逆向二次谐波的能量转换过程及其空间分布.验证了可将无耗非线性左手材料的入射面作为反射镜,把能量以二次谐波的形式反射.同时分别给出有限厚度介质板中基波和二次谐波的场强分布数值结果,验证了结论的正确性.最后从相位失配角度说明了相位匹配是分析非线性左手材料二次谐波的重要条件.这为研究左手材料的非线性理论奠定了基础.  相似文献
