本文在分析了均匀掺杂分布式掺饵光纤放大器的基础上,提出了沿传输方向掺杂浓度线性单调下降(单变),和线性降升结合(两变)的两种渐变型分布式掺饵光纤放大器,并用传输方程研究和比较了透明传输和最佳掺杂浓度下,均匀、单变和两变型三种放大器中的信号和噪音的传输特性及放大器的噪音指数、信噪比、临界泵浦功能和最佳泵浦周期等特性. 相似文献

本文对掺铒光纤放大器优化设计方面的一系列问题进行了理论分析,通过对四十六所提供的掺铒光纤吸收谱的分析,分别计算了在掺铒光纤长度不同及入纤的泵浦功率不同的情况下,最佳的泵浦波长,理论分析了在不同的掺铒半径比的情况下的最佳截止波长,以及在不同的掺铒半径比和不同的掺杂浓度下的最佳掺铒光纤长度. 相似文献

Basing on analyzing distributed erbium-doped fiber amplifier(d-EDFA) of evenly doped density along propagating direction, we put forward two sort d-EDFAs of slowly and linearly variously doped density along propagating direction: one-variation and two-variation d-EDFA. By using convective equations, we study the propagating properties of signal and noise in three sort d-EDFAs. In this study, the design and implementation of a fuzzy logic (FL) based automatic gain controller card (AGC) is performed in order to control the pump laser current with respect to signal power and signal wavelength. The FL-AGC card consists of an amplifier, an analogue to digital converter (ADC), a digital to analogue converter (DAC), and a FL based software that is embedded to a microcontroller. With this configuration, gain flattening at the output of the erbium doped fibre amplifier (EDFA) along C band is achieved. In this way, ergonomically designed FL-AGC card can be easily matched with EDFAs and can be applicable to optical system applications. 相似文献

A theoretical study of the temperature-dependent gain and noise figure effects on erbium-doped fiber amplifiers (EDFAs) pumped at 1480 nm is investigated, solving the propagation equations related to two level systems. The solution of these equations is based on the population and temperature difference among amplification levels. The temperature-dependent propagation equation considered is used to determine the gain and noise figure effects on EDFAs. The population difference depends on pump and signal powers, Boltzmann factor KB, cross-sections, noise figure (NF) and Er3+ concentration. The temperature-dependent gain and noise figure effect the EDFA length are numerically obtained for the temperature range of −20 °C to +60 °C. All of the analyses consist of the amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) effect. 相似文献

报道了基于高频CO2激光脉冲写入的新型长周期光纤光栅的低噪音掺铒光纤放大器,这种新型长周期光纤光栅是用大约几千Hz的高频CO2激光脉冲对光纤玻璃热冲击作用而形成的.在铒纤中插入一个长周期光纤光栅,会明显减少掺铒光纤放大器的放大自发辐射(ASE)噪音.报道了两种低噪音掺铒光纤放大器,作为前置放大器和线路放大器,它们的ASE噪音指数分别从4.0 dB减少到3.5 dB和从4.8 dB减少到4.3 dB,并且在作为线放时,其小信号增益从30 dB提高到37 dB,降噪及提高增益效应十分显著. 相似文献
