We have reported on the results of theoretical and experimental investigations of characteristics of aluminum and titanium foils used in devices to extract electron beams from wide-aperture low-energy accelerators with a high current density. The mechanical properties of foils at different temperatures and the electron beam transmission and absorption coefficients have been compared. The results of analyzing the dependences of the efficiency of the electron beam extraction from accelerators on the type of the electron–optical system, material, and thickness of the foil for various sizes of extraction windows and the same type of the slot support grids have been presented. We have proposed an analytic model for calculating the temperature of the foil in the unit cell of the support grid. The electron transmittance and absorbance, as well as the temperature regimes of the foils, have been calculated using different methods.  相似文献

Experimental evaluation of electron beam profile of a recently upgraded industrial electron accelerator has been carried out to study characteristics of the beam required for the irradiation of various industrial products. Calibrated cellulose triacetate (CTA) film strip dosimeters were used for the measurement of dose profile along and transverse to the scanning direction at different distances in air under the beam extraction window in dynamic (conveyor) and static mode of operation. Two-dimensional dose distribution mapping under the beam has also been measured by using a large number of CTA strip dosimeters. The obtained result shows that the electron beam emerging out from scanning horn has a good uniformity along the scanning direction within 90% of the average maximum dose. Also, the paper reports depth dose distribution in unit density material under the 4.5?MeV beam. Using this study, area affecting dose to the product is controlled within the limit for the irradiation.  相似文献

The generation and control of microwave electron cyclotron resonance (ECR) plasma cathode electron beam is studied experimentally. A complete set of discharge, electron beam extraction, focusing and measuring system was set up. The characteristics and performance of microwave ECR plasmas as electron beam extraction source were studied by measuring the current of water cooling target and the beam spot size on the target. Experimental results indicated that both microwave input power and accelerating voltage are conducive to improving electron beam current. The influence of gas pressure on the electron beam current was complex. With the increase of gas pressure, the electron beam current is characterized by decreasing first and then increasing. The extracted electron current of microwave ECR plasma cathode can reach 75mA at gas pressure of 7×10−4Pa, and the energy of the electron beam can reach 9keV. The energy utilization can reach 0.6. By adjusting the current of the focusing coil, the diameter of electron beam spot is reduced from 20mm to 13mm and the electron beam current keeps the value unchanged.  相似文献

介绍了实验室研制的微波电子回旋共振(ECR)等离子体阴极电子束系统及初步研究结果,该系统包括微波ECR 等离子体源、电子束引出极、聚焦线圈等。通过测量水冷靶电流和靶上的束斑尺寸,实验研究了微波ECR 等离子体阴极电子束的流强、聚束性能等随电子束系统工作条件的变化。结果表明:微波输入功率越高、引出电压越高,引出电子束流强越大;工作气压对电子束流强的影响较复杂,随气压增加呈现出先降低后升高的特点;在7×10−4Pa 的极低气压下电子束流强可达75mA,引出电压9kV;能量利用率可达0.6;调整聚焦线圈的驱动电流,电子束的束斑直径从20mm 减小到13mm,电子束流强未有明显变化。  相似文献

An experimental free electron maser (FEM) facility is described which operates in the millimeter-wave regime. The experiment demonstrates that high gain and beam extraction efficiency can be obtained with low-current but high-quality electron beams. In the oscillator configuration, microwave powers of 110 kW were achieved with a 300-kV, 4-A beam, corresponding to a beam extraction efficiency of 9.2%. At low beam currents, with the system operating in the linear regime, the FEM gain curve was measured. The experiment uses a Pierce-type gun with a calculated beam emittance of 10.7-mm mrad at 300 kV and 4 A. The wiggler is of the iron permanent magnet hybrid design. The experiment is intended as a first step towards the development of continuous-wave (CW) devices that use beam energy recovery to make use of low-current, high-voltage power supplies  相似文献

离子通道可以有效抑制电子束在等离子体环境内传输过程中的径向扩散,已有工作研究了离子通道对电子束的影响,但离子通道建立过程和暂态特性研究则更有助于理解和利用离子通道在电子束长程传输中的作用。本文利用PIC方法对离子通道的时空分布进行二维模拟,并基于单粒子理论推导出描述离子通道振荡的解析模型,对上述两种模型的结果相互校验。上述模型的计算结果表明,在长程传输过程中,相对论电子束在等离子体内部建立的离子通道是持续周期振荡的,电子束密度、电子束初始半径以及环境等离子体密度都会对离子通道的振荡规律产生影响,针对不同的等离子体环境选择合适的电子束参数可以有效提高离子通道的稳定性,进而提升传输过程中电子束的束流质量。  相似文献

在现代工业设计、人工智能、软件设计等领域,三维模型正展现强劲需求与活力,传统三维模型特征提取方法仅能提取模型表面特征,难以满足复杂模型特征提取需求,为提高三维模型的特征提取精度,基于光谱分析以及可见光传播特性,提出一种具有高区分度的三维模型特征提取方法。首先利用光散射系数、吸收系数、各向异性等光学特性参数,量化分析光在不同介质中透射、散射、反射概率,并确定最佳光谱模拟波段;其次采用Monte-Carlo法模拟光子束在三维模型中的传播历程,获得光子束传播轨迹的角度、距离、能量等多种统计量,计算不同统计量权重,经过统计分析后完成特征提取;然后在ESB国际通用三维模型库中,测试不同光子束数量、约束空间形状对特征提取效果影响,从而确定最佳模拟参数;最后使用多种特征提取方法与光传播模拟法进行特征提取效果比较,并采用查准率、查全率以及E测度评价指标对特征提取效果进行定量测试。实验结果表明,三维模型特征提取准确度对光传播约束空间形态较为敏感,光子传播的最佳约束空间为球体;三维特征提取效率随着光子束数量升高而降低,在保证特征提取精度的前提下,10000~25000区间是光子束模拟数量的最佳取值范围;基于光传播模拟的特征提取准确度高于小波变换、距离夹角以及D2分布方法,能够满足三维模型检索需求,更适合复杂三维模型的离线特征提取与应用。结合光谱分析与可见光传播特性的模型特征提取法拓宽了光谱分析的应用范围,能够提取出融合三维模型表面特性与内部形态的有效特征,为高精度特征提取技术研究注入新动力。  相似文献

This paper reports the simulation of an electron gun. The effects on the beam quality of some parameters on the beam quality were studied and optimal choices were identified. It gives numerical beam qualities for a common electrostatic triode gun, and the dependencies on design parameters such as electrode geometries and bias voltages to these electrodes are shown. An electron beam of diameter 5 mm with energy of 5 ke V was assumed for the simulation process. Some design parameters were identified as variable parameters in the presence of space charge.These parameters are the inclination angle of emission electrode, the applied voltage to the focusing electrode, the gap width between the emission electrode and the focusing electrode and the diameter of the focusing electrode. The triode extraction system is designed and optimized by using CST software(for Particle Beam Simulations). The physical design of the extraction system is given in this paper. From the simulation results, it is concluded that the inclination angle of the emission electrode is optimized at 22.5?, the applied voltage to the focusing electrode was optimized and found to be Vfoc =-600 V, the optimal separation distance(gap between emission electrode and focusing electrode) is 4 mm, and the optimal diameter of the emission electrode is 14 mm. Initial results for these efforts aimed at emittance improvement are also given.  相似文献

Joining of materials using welding results in the formation of material zones with varying microstructure across the weld. Extraction of the mechanical properties of those individual heterogeneous zones are important in designing components and structures comprised of welds. In this study, the zone wise local extraction of the elastic and plastic properties of an electron beam welded Ti–6Al–4V titanium alloy has been carried out using both the uniform stress method (USM) and the virtual fields method (VFM) involving digital image correlation (DIC) technique. The surface strain field obtained using DIC technique from a transverse weld specimen tensile testing is used for extracting the zone wise strain evolution. Initially, using uniform stress assumption, zone wise full range stress–strain curves are extracted. In USM methodology, the elastic and plastic material models are fitted to the zone wise stress–strain curves and required parameters are extracted from it. But inherent disadvantage is lot of images need to be processed for the parameter extraction. Recently, VFM is gaining lot of popularity in characterization domain as it is robust, accurate and faster. VFM is based on the principle of virtual work where, the weak form of local equilibrium equations and kinematically admissible virtual displacement fields are utilized for parameter extraction. Hollomon׳s power law is used here as the hardening rule. Young׳s modulus, Poisson׳s ratio, yield stress, strength coefficient and strain hardening exponent are the parameters extracted zone wise using both USM and VFM. A Vicker׳s microhardness measurement is also conducted across the weld zone towards mapping the strength behavior. Fusion zone has reported higher yield strength, strength coefficient and Poisson׳s ratio. Young׳s modulus value is found decreasing from base metal towards the fusion zone. The trend observed in parameter variation across the weld zone obtained by both USM and VFM compares very well. Due to various advantages associated with VFM technique it is generally recommended for parameter extraction.  相似文献

A model of formation of ultradisperse particles in the plasma torch emerging during evaporation of a metal target by a high-power electron beam is described. A model of heterogeneous media is proposed for describing the plasma torch dynamics taking into account heat conduction, heat transfer and friction between components, relaxation of components to equilibrium, condensation, and evaporation and coagulation of drops as a result of their collisions. Numerical simulation of the generation of ultradisperse particles in the plasma torch formed during irradiation of a metal target by a powerful electron beam is performed. The size distribution of ultradisperse particles is obtained for various regimes of irradiation and cooling.  相似文献

 在顺位流模型与“4阶段”粒子流动模型的基础上,提出了一种用于分析100ns/MA级电子束流的低阻抗强箍缩二极管物理过程的理论模式。在这种理论分析模式中,将电子和离子的流动情况随时间的演变过程分成非箍缩电子流、弱箍缩电子流、强箍缩电子流3个不同的阶段,分别结合聚焦流和顺位流模型对各个阶段特性进行估算。利用KARAT PIC数值模拟软件并结合“强光一号”加速器的工作状态,对该类型二极管中电子束的流动过程作了数值模拟,并在“强光一号”加速器上开展了实验研究。数值模拟和实验结果的对比表明,所提出的新的理论分析模式是合理可行的 。  相似文献

Results are presented from experimental studies of the formation of a ribbon electron beam during the extraction of electrons from the plasma of a steady-state hollow-cathode discharge in the forevacuum pressure range. It is shown that the main reason for the nonuniformity of the current density is the increase in the local nonuniformity of the emission plasma density caused by the return flow of ions from the accelerating gap. Taking this feature into account when developing a system of beam extraction provides for the generation of a ribbon beam with a nonuniformity of the current density along the beam of less than 10%.  相似文献

Electron beam induced effects on Fluorine doped ZnO thin films (FZO) grown by chemical spray pyrolysis deposition technique were studied. The samples were exposed to 8 MeV electron beam at different dose rate ranging from 1 kGy to 4 kGy. All films exhibit a polycrystalline nature which shows an increase in crystallanity with irradiation dosages. The electron beam irradiation effectively controls the films surface morphology and its linear optical characteristics. Z-Scan technique was employed to evaluate the sign and magnitude of nonlinear refractive index and nonlinear absorption coefficient using a continuous wave laser at 632.8 nm as light source. Enhancement in the third order nonlinear optical properties was were noted due to electron beam irradiation. Tailoring the physical and NLO properties by electron beam, the FZO thin films becomes a promising candidate for various optoelectronic applications such as phase change memory devices, optical pulse compression, optical switching and laser pulse narrowing.  相似文献

为了提高DG型电子加速器束流扫描均匀度、解决束流中心偏移、提升束流引出效率,开发了一种既可实现X,Y两相互垂直方向均匀扫描又可以实现束流中心自动对中调节的扫描系统。介绍了扫描磁铁及其电源参数的选取依据,阐述了将扫描磁铁和束流校正线圈进行整体式设计的扫描系统扫描电流成形方式及自动对中电路信号调制过程,包括为提高加速器运行安全性而设计的连锁保护信号。产业化现场使用事实已证明,该系统设计完全达到了设计要求,具有优良的扫描均匀度和长时间工作稳定可靠性。  相似文献

 利用基于虚边界元法的VBGUN程序和基于边界元法的MOM程序,对一折叠波导毫米波行波管的电子光学系统进行了设计。设计过程中使用计算相关性系数的方法调节参数,通过计算敏感性系数以考察加工误差带来的影响。设计过程显示:低导流系数、小束腰、高压缩比的毫米波电子枪的层流性与电极尺寸相关性很大,易受到加工误差的影响;聚束系统的设计难点在于轴上峰值磁感应强度要受到漂移管半径的限制,这一点可以通过提高工作电压和降低电流来平衡,因此它的设计必须与慢波结构的设计同时进行。  相似文献

The emission spectra of ruby on electron excitation are investigated for various temperatures and current densities. The luminescence yield of ruby on excitation by an electron beam is determined. The effectiveness of excitation energy transfer from the lattice to the chromium ions is evaluated. In this paper is studied the effect of electron beam geometric deformation errors on the small — signal characteristics of the TE mn o mode Electron Cyclotron Resonance Maser (ECRM), based on the elliptically cross—sectional e—beam deformation model.
