Iodine-doped TiO2 nanocrystallites (denoted as I-TNCs) were prepared via a newly developed triblock copolymer-mediated sol-gel method at a temperature of 393 K. I-doping, crystallization and the formation of porous structure have been simultaneously achieved. The obtained particles were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and UV-vis spectrophotometer. The results indicated that the as-prepared I-TNCs possessed a diameter of ca. 5 nm with anatase crystalline structure and a specific surface area of over 200 m2 g−1. The presence of iodine expanded the photoresponse in visible light range, and led to enrich in surface hydroxyl group on the TiO2 surface. Compared with the commercial photocatalyst P25, the I-TNCs significantly enhanced the photocatalytic efficiency in the degradation of rhodamine B and 2,4-dichlorophenol, and the I-TNCs with 2.5 mol% doping ratio exhibited the best photocatalytic activity.  相似文献

The manganite La0.67Sr0.33MnO3 (LSMO) layers are deposited on single crystal MgO(0 0 1) substrates using a magnetron dc sputtering. The crystalline perfection of the layers, both the as-prepared and the annealed, are characterized by X-ray diffraction technique, rocking curve measurements, Rutherford backscattering spectroscopy (RBS) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). TEM analyses give evidence of the epitaxial growth of the annealed LSMO with a nanocrystalline surface layer. The temperature dependence of resistance in the 77-340 K range is measured by a standard four-probe technique. While the as-prepared film does not show any transition from paramagnetic to ferromagnetic state, the film annealed in oxygen shows steep R(T) dependence with a peak at 330 K and maximal slope (dR/dT) at 290 K where the maximal sensitivity is 3% K−1.  相似文献

The influence of hydrogen exposures on monolayer graphene grown on the silicon terminated SiC(0 0 0 1) surface is investigated using photoelectron spectroscopy (PES), low-energy electron microscopy (LEEM) and micro low-energy electron diffraction (μ-LEED). Exposures to ionized hydrogen are shown to have a pronounced effect on the carbon buffer (interface) layer. Exposures to atomic hydrogen are shown to actually convert/transform the monolayer graphene plus carbon buffer layer to bi-layer graphene, i.e. to produce carbon buffer layer free bi-layer graphene on SiC(0 0 0 1). This process is shown to be reversible, so the initial monolayer graphene plus carbon buffer layer situation is recreated after heating to a temperature of about 950 °C. A tentative model of hydrogen intercalation is suggested to explain this single to bi-layer graphene transformation mechanism. Our findings are of relevance and importance for various potential applications based on graphene-SiC structures and hydrogen storage.  相似文献

Aqueous CdWO4 QDs were synthesized by the reaction of CdCl2 and Na2WO4 in the presence of mercaptoacetic acid (TGA) as capping reagent. The crystal morphology, particle size and its distribution of as-prepared products were characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM, SAED) atomic force microscopy (AFM), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), and photon correlation spectroscopy (PCS), respectively. Qualitative assays for functional groups on the QDs’ surface were measured by fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). Photoluminescence properties of QDs were studied by photoluminescence spectroscopy (PL). The results showed that the single QD with diameter of about 8 ± 2 nm was single-crystal. The particle size distribution of QDs was normal. Infrared absorption bands of carboxylic group on the surface of CdWO4 QDs were observed around 1610-1550 cm−1 (nonsymmetrical vibration of -COO) and 1400 cm−1 (symmetric vibration of C-O). With reaction-time going, PL peak position shifted from 498 to 549 nm and intensity of PL increased first and then decreased. PL peak position of QDs was blue-shift compared with 570 nm WO66− luminescence center of bulk CdWO4.  相似文献

The formation of a well-ordered p(2 × 2) overlayer of atomic nitrogen on the Pt(1 1 1) surface and its reaction with hydrogen were characterized with reflection absorption infrared spectroscopy (RAIRS), temperature programmed desorption (TPD), low energy electron diffraction (LEED), Auger electron spectroscopy (AES), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The p(2 × 2)-N overlayer is formed by exposure of ammonia to a surface at 85 K that is covered with 0.44 monolayer (ML) of molecular oxygen and then heating to 400 K. The reaction between ammonia and oxygen produces water, which desorbs below 400 K. The only desorption product observed above 400 K is molecular nitrogen, which has a peak desorption temperature of 453 K. The absence of oxygen after the 400 K anneal is confirmed with AES. Although atomic nitrogen can also be produced on the surface through the reaction of ammonia with an atomic, rather than molecular, oxygen overlayer at a saturation coverage of 0.25 ML, the yield of surface nitrogen is significantly less, as indicated by the N2 TPD peak area. Atomic nitrogen readily reacts with hydrogen to produce the NH species, which is characterized with RAIRS by an intense and narrow (FWHM ∼ 4 cm−1) peak at 3322 cm−1. The areas of the H2 TPD peak associated with NH dissociation and the XPS N 1s peak associated with the NH species indicate that not all of the surface N atoms can be converted to NH by the methods used here.  相似文献

The effects of 10 keV Ar+ ion irradiation on the electrical characteristics of BaCe0.9Y0.1O2.95 subject to fluences of 0, 1.0 × 1017, 5.0 × 1017 and 1.0 × 1018 ions/cm2 at room temperature, has been investigated using elastic recoil detection analysis (ERDA), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and alternating current (AC) impedance measurements. It was confirmed from the ERDA results that the hydrogen concentration near the surface increased with increase of Ar+ ion fluence. This increase may be associated with the increasing quantities of hydrogen generated by interaction between oxygen vacancies, formed by irradiation, and H2O from exposure to air. SEM images showed clearly that the number of surface defects due to modification increased with increasing fluence. In addition, the size of the defects showed a tendency to increase with increasing fluence. From the results of XPS analyses, providing information on the electronic states on the surface, it was evident that with increase in the Ar+ ion fluence, the quantity of excess oxygen, such as hydroxide, increased in the oxygen 1s XPS spectrum. In addition, it was indirectly found, from decomposition of the Ce 3d, spectrum that the concentration of oxygen vacancies increased with fluence, since the percentage of Ce3+ also increased. Accordingly, the surface modification led to the formation of more oxygen vacancies and a greater hydrogen concentration on the surface, since the H2O interacted with some of them. From the results of the DC conductivity and AC impedance measurements, the proton conductivity was shown to predominate over the temperature range from 473 K to 823 K. It was concluded that the increase in these protons and vacancies generated from surface modification contributed to the increase of proton conductivity.  相似文献

Single-crystalline α-MnO2 nanorods have been successfully synthesized by a novel hydrothermal method based on the redox reactions between the permanganate anion MnO4- and H2O in mixture containing KMnO4 and HNO3. The products have been characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Fourier transform infrared spectrum (FT-IR) and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET). The results prove that the grain size of α-MnO2 nanorods with the surface area ∼95.2 m2 g−1 is homogeneous with diameters ranging from 10 to 20 nm. The electrochemical property of the material shows that compared with the commercial electrolytic manganese dioxide (EMD), the discharge capacity of the as-prepared α-MnO2 nanorods is increased by 70.4%, 104.1% and 135.7% at different constant currents of 50, 250 and 500 mA g−1, respectively.  相似文献

Green luminescence and degradation of Ce3+ doped CaS nanocrystalline phosphors were studied with a 2 keV, 10 μA electron beam in an O2 environment. The nanophosphors were synthesized by the co-precipitation method. The samples were characterized using X-ray diffraction, Transmission electron microscopy, Scanning electron microscopy/electron dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and Photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy. Cubic CaS with an average particle size of 42 ± 2 nm was obtained. PL emission was observed at 507 nm and a shoulder at 560 nm with an excitation wavelength of 460 nm. Auger electron spectroscopy and Cathodoluminescence (CL) were used to monitor the changes in the surface composition of the CaS:Ce3+ nanocrystalline phosphors during electron bombardment in an O2 environment. The effect of different oxygen pressures ranging from 1 × 10−8 to 1 × 10−6 Torr on the CL intensity was also investigated. A CaSO4 layer was observed on the surface after the electron beam degradation. The CL intensity was found to decrease up to 30% of its original intensity at 1 × 10−6 Torr oxygen pressure after an electron dose of 50 C/cm2. The formation of oxygen defects during electron bombardment may also be responsible for the decrease in CL intensity.  相似文献

In the present investigation, synthesis of manganese zinc ferrite (Mn0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4) nanoparticles with narrow size distribution have been prepared using ultrasound assisted emulsion (consisting of rapeseed oil as an oil phase and aqueous solution of Mn2+, Zn2+ and Fe2+ acetates) and evaporation processes. The as-prepared ferrite was nanocrystalline. In order to remove the small amount of oil present on the surface of the ferrite, it was subjected to heat treatment at 300 °C for 3 h. Both the as-prepared and heat treated ferrites have been characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), infrared spectroscopy (IR), TGA/DTA, transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and energy dispersion X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) techniques. As-prepared ferrite is of 20 nm, whereas the heat treated ferrite shows the size of 33 nm. In addition, magnetic properties of the as-prepared as well as the heat treated ferrites have also been carried out and the results of which show that the spontaneous magnetization (σs) of the heat treated sample (24.1 emu/g) is significantly higher than that of the as-synthesized sample (1.81 emu/g). The key features of this method are avoiding (a) the cumbersome conditions that exist in the conventional methods; (b) usage of necessary additive components (stabilizers or surfactants, precipitants) and (c) calcination requirements. In addition, rapeseed oil as an oil phase has been used for the first time, replacing the toxic and troublesome organic nonpolar solvents. As a whole, this simple straightforward sonochemical approach results in more phase pure system with improved magnetization.  相似文献

Nanometer Bi2WO6 catalyst with visible-light responsive was prepared by a sol-gel method in the presence of EDTA. The as-prepared samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectrum, Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectrum, Brunauer-Emmet-Teller (BET). The UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectrum of the as-prepared sample shows a markedly blue-shift as compared to that of the sample obtained by a solid-state reaction. The as-prepared samples exhibited higher activities than that synthesized by the solid-state reaction for 4BS photodegradation under visible-light irradiation (λ>400 nm) and the sample prepared at 450 °C exhibited the highest photocatalytic activity.  相似文献

After hollow microspheres (HM) were surface modified, a layer of electromagnetic polyaniline/Fe3O4 composite (PAN/Fe3O4) was successfully grafted onto the surface of the self-assembled monolayer coated HM, resulting in HM/PAN/Fe3O4 composites. In this approach, γ-aminopropyltriethoxy silane was adopted to form a well-coating monolayer with amino groups for the graft polymerization of aniline, which played an important role in fabricating the core-shell structure. FeCl3 was used as the oxidant not only for aniline to form PAN, but also for FeCl2 to prepare the magnets. The structure, morphologies, and magnetic properties of the as-prepared samples were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction and vibrating sample magnetometer. The results indicated that the HM/PAN/Fe3O4 composites possess low density (ρ < 1.0 g/cm3), controllable morphology, and good magnetic properties at room temperature (saturation magnetization Ms = 8.32 emu g−1 and coercive force Hc ≈ 0).  相似文献

Epitaxial graphene layers thermally grown on Si-terminated 6H-SiC (0 0 0 1) have been probed using Auger electron spectroscopy, Raman microspectroscopy, and scanning tunneling microscopy (STM). The average multilayer graphene thickness is determined by attenuation of the Si (L23VV) and C (KVV) Auger electron signals. Systematic changes in the Raman spectra are observed as the film thickness increases from one to three layers. The most striking observation is a large increase in the intensity of the Raman 2D-band (overtone of the D-band and also known as the G′-band) for samples with a mean thickness of more than ∼1.5 graphene layers. Correlating this information with STM images, we show that the first graphene layer imaged by STM produces very little 2D intensity, but the second imaged layer shows a single-Lorentzian 2D peak near 2750 cm−1, similar to spectra acquired from single-layer micromechanically cleaved graphene (CG). The 4-10 cm−1 higher frequency shift of the G peak relative to CG can be associated with charge exchange with the underlying SiC substrate and the formation of finite size domains of graphene. The much greater (41-50 cm−1) blue shift observed for the 2D-band may be correlated with these domains and compressive strain.  相似文献

The intermediates of thermal decomposition of 1,3-disilabutane (SiH3CH2SiH2CH3, DSB) to form SiC on Si(1 0 0) surface were in situ investigated by reactive ion scattering (RIS), temperature programmed reactive ion scattering (TPRIS), temperature programmed desorption (TPD), and auger electron spectroscopy (AES). DSB as a single molecular precursor was exposed on Si(1 0 0) surface at a low temperature less than 100 K, and then the substrate was heated up to 1000 K. RIS, TPD, and AES investigations showed that DSB adsorbed molecularly and decomposed to SiC via some intermediates on Si(1 0 0) surface as substrate temperature increasing. Between 117 and 150 K molecularly adsorbed DSB desorbed partially and decomposed to CH4Si2, which is the first observation on Si(1 0 0) surface, and further decomposed to CH4Si between 150 and 900 K. CH4Si lost hydrogen and formed SiC over 900 K.  相似文献

Activated carbon fibers were prepared from rayon-based carbon fibers by two step activations with steam and KOH treatments. Hydrogen storage properties of the activated rayon-based carbon fibers with high specific surface area and micropore volume have been investigated. SEM, XRD and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) were used to characterize the samples. The adsorption performance and porous structure were investigated by nitrogen adsorption isotherm at 77 K on the base of BET and density functional theory (DFT). The BET specific surface area and micropore volume of the activated rayon-based carbon fibers were 3144 m2/g and 0.744 m3/g, respectively. Hydrogen storage properties of the samples were measured at 77 and 298 K with pressure-composition isotherm (PCT) measuring system based on the volumetric method. The capacities of hydrogen storage of the activated rayon-based carbon fibers were 7.01 and 1.46 wt% at 77 and 298 K at 4 MPa, respectively. Possible mechanisms for hydrogen storage in the activated rayon-based carbon fibers are discussed.  相似文献

Ge (1 0 0) wafers were implanted with 100 keV Mn+ ions with a dose of 2 × 1016 ions/cm2 at different temperatures, ranging from 300 to 573 K. The surface morphology of implanted samples, analyzed with scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy measurements, reveals for the 300-463 K implant temperature range the formation of a surface swelled and porous film, containing sponge-like structures. On the contrary, samples implanted in the 513-573 K temperature range present an atomically flat surface, with a roughness less than 1 nm, indicating that crystalline order has been preserved. X-ray photoemission spectroscopy depth profiling measurements indicate the presence of adsorbed oxygen in the porous layer of lower-temperature implanted samples, as well the presence of a large Mn concentration below the expected end of range for impinging ions. Mn and O concentrations at anomalously great depths are maximum in the 413 K implanted sample, indicating that the phenomenon of ion beam induced porosity is best favored at a well defined temperature.  相似文献

The growth and oxidation of a thin film of Ni3Al grown on Ni(1 0 0) were studied using Auger electron spectroscopy (AES), low energy electron diffraction (LEED), and high resolution electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS). At 300 K, a 12 Å thick layer of aluminium was deposited on a Ni(1 0 0) surface and subsequently annealed to 1150 K resulting in a thin film of Ni3Al which grows with the (1 0 0) plane parallel to the (1 0 0) surface of the substrate. Oxidation at 300 K of Ni3Al/Ni(1 0 0) until saturation leads to the growth of an aluminium oxide layer consisting of different alumina phases. By annealing up to 1000 K, a well ordered film of the Al2O3 film is formed which exhibits in the EEL spectra Fuchs-Kliewer phonons at 420, 640 and 880 cm−1. The LEED pattern of the oxide shows a twelvefold ring structure. This LEED pattern is explained by two domains with hexagonal structure which are rotated by 90° with respect to each other. The lattice constant of the hexagonal structure amounts to ∼2.87 Å. The EELS data and the LEED pattern suggest that the γ-Al2O3 phase is formed which grows with the (1 1 1) plane parallel to the Ni(1 0 0) surface.  相似文献

Flower-like Bi12TiO20 hierarchical nanostructures composed of numerous nanobelts were synthesized at 180 °C within 1 h by a microwave-assisted hydrothermal method in the presence of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) for the first time. The as-prepared products were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and ultraviolet–visible (UV–vis) absorption spectroscopy. Furthermore, the hierarchical Bi12TiO20 nanostructures exhibited higher photocatalytic activities in the degradation of Rhodamine B under visible-light irradiation than that of the samples prepared without CTAB. In addition, the role of CTAB cationic surfactant has been investigated thoroughly and a possible mechanism is proposed.  相似文献

Well-ordered TiO2 nanotube arrays were prepared by electrochemical anodization of titanium in aqueous electrolyte solution of H3PO4 + NH4F at a constant voltage of 20 V for 3 h, followed by calcined at various temperatures. X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and Photoluminescence (PL) were used to characterize the samples. The results showed that the as-prepared nanotube arrays before being calcined were amorphous and could transform to anatase phase at a heat treatment temperature higher than 400 °C. As the calcination temperatures increased, crystallization of anatase phase enhanced and rutile phase appeared at 600 °C. However, further increasing the calcination temperature would cause the collapse of nanotube arrays. PL intensity of the nanotube arrays annealed at 500 °C was the lowest, which was probably ascribed to better crystallization together with fewer surface defects of the nanotube arrays.  相似文献

SrAl2O4:Eu2+,Dy3+ thin films were grown on Si (1 0 0) substrates using the pulsed laser deposition (PLD) technique to investigate the effect of vacuum, oxygen (O2) and argon (Ar) deposition atmospheres on the structural, morphological, photoluminescence (PL) and cathodoluminescence (CL) properties of the films. The films were ablated using a 248 nm KrF excimer laser. Atomic force microscopy (AFM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) and fluorescence spectrophotometry were used to characterize the thin films. Auger electron spectroscopy (AES) combined with CL spectroscopy were employed for the surface characterization and electron-beam induced degradation of the films. Better PL intensities were obtained from the unannealed films prepared in Ar and O2 atmospheres with respect to those prepared in vacuum. A stable green emission peak at 515 nm, attributed to 4f65d1→4f7 Eu2+ transitions were obtained with less intense peaks at 619 nm, which were attributed to transitions in Eu3+. After annealing the films prepared in vacuum at 800 °C for 2 h, the intensity of the green emission (520 nm) of the thin film increased considerably. The amorphous thin film was crystalline after the annealing process. The CL intensity increased under prolonged electron bombardment during the removal of C due to electron stimulated surface chemical reactions (ESSCRs) on the surface of the SrAl2O4:Eu2+, Dy3+ thin films. The CL stabilized and stayed constant thereafter.  相似文献

High purity alumina ceramics (99% Al2O3) was implanted by copper ion and titanium ion in a metal vapour vacuum arc (MEVVA) implanter, respectively. The influence of implantation parameters was studied varying ion fluence. The samples were implanted by 68 keV Cu ion and 82 keV Ti ion with fluences from 1 × 1015 to 1 × 1018 ions/cm2, respectively. The as-implanted samples were investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), glancing X-ray diffraction (GXRD), scanning Auger microscopy (SAM), and four-probe method. Different morphologies were observed on the surfaces of the as-implanted samples and clearly related to implantation parameters. For both ion implantations, the sheet resistances of the alumina samples implanted with Cu and Ti ion fluences of 1 × 1018 ions/cm2, respectively, reached the corresponding minimum values because of the surface metallization. The experimental results indicate that the high-fluence ion implantation resulted in conductive layer on the surface of the as-implanted high purity alumina ceramics.  相似文献
