In this work, the experimental and theoretical UV, NMR and vibrational spectra of 2-chloro-6-methylaniline (2-Cl-6-MA, C7H8NCl) were studied. The ultraviolet absorption spectra of compound that dissolved in ethanol were examined in the range of 200–400 nm. The 1H, 13C and DEPT NMR spectra of the compound were recorded. FT-IR and FT-Raman spectra of 2-Cl-6-MA in the liquid phase were recorded in the region 4000–400 cm?1 and 3500–50 cm?1, respectively. The structural and spectroscopic data of the molecule in the ground state were calculated using density functional theory (DFT) employing B3LYP exchange correlation and the 6-311++G(d,p) basis set. The vibrational frequencies were calculated and scaled values were compared with experimental FT-IR and FT-Raman spectra. The observed and calculated frequencies were found to be in good agreement. The complete assignments were performed on the basis of the total energy distribution (TED) of the vibrational modes, calculated with scaled quantum mechanics (SQM) method. Isotropic chemical shifts were calculated using the gauge-invariant atomic orbital (GIAO) method. Comparison of the calculated NMR chemical shifts and absorption wavelengths with the experimental values revealed that DFT method produces good results.  相似文献

The Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and Fourier transform Raman spectra of phenylacetyl chloride were recorded and analyzed in the range 3500–400 and 3500–200 cm?1 at room temperature, respectively. In order to obtain the structural information and conformational stabilities, a potential energy surface scan for internal rotation was carried out at the B3LYP/6‐31G(d) level. The potential energy surface reveals that the title compound has two minimal conformers (A and B). The optimized geometries, structural parameters, stabilities, energies, thermodynamic parameters, vibrational wavenumbers, infrared intensities, and Raman activities for the two conformers (A and B) have been obtained by employing B3LYP and MP2 calculations with 6‐311++G (d, p) basis sets. The conformational energy difference between A and B is very small, indicating that the B conformer coexists with the A conformer. The detailed vibrational assignments of vibrational spectra of each conformer have been made on the basis of the potential energy distributions analysis. The highest occupied molecular orbital –lowest unoccupied molecular orbital energy gap and molecular electrostatic potential of the two conformers have been also calculated for comparison of their chemical activities. The Fourier‐transform infrared spectrum of 3‐hydroxy‐2‐naphthoic acid hydrazide (3H2NAH) was recorded in the region 4000–400 cm−1. The Fourier‐transform Raman spectrum of 3H2NAH was also recorded in the region 3500–10 cm−1. Quantum chemical calculations of energies, geometrical structure and vibrational wavenumbers of 3H2NAH were carried out by density functional theory (DFT/B3LYP) method with 6‐31G(d,p) as basis set. The difference between the observed and scaled wavenumber values of most of the fundamentals is very small. The values of the electric dipole moment (µ) and the first‐order hyperpolarizability (β) of the investigated molecule were computed using ab initio quantum mechanical calculations. The UV spectrum was measured in ethanol solution. The calculation results also show that the 3H2NAH molecule might have microscopic nonlinear optical (NLO) behavior with non‐zero values. A detailed interpretation of the infrared and Raman spectra of 3H2NAH is also reported based on total energy distribution (TED). The calculated HOMO and LUMO energies shows that charge transfer occur within the molecule. The theoretical FT‐IR and FT‐Raman spectra for the title molecule have also been constructed. In our present work, methyl L-prolinate hydrochloride has been synthesized from L-proline amino acid and characterized by Fourier transform infrared and Fourier transform Raman spectra via experimental and computational methods. Ab initio Hartree-Fock and density functional theory (B3LYP) calculations have been made for the structure, and atomic charge distributions were also predicted for the title compound by using the 6-311++G(d,p) basis set. Predicted vibrational frequencies have been assigned and compared with experimental Fourier transform infrared and Fourier transform Raman spectra. The thermodynamic properties such as heat capacity, enthalpy, entropy, and Gibbs energy have been calculated at different temperatures. The calculated highest occupied molecular orbital and lowest unoccupied molecular orbital energy show the charge transfer behavior within the molecule.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

In this work, we have recorded the Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) and Ultra-Violet Visible (UV–Vis) spectra of 3,3,6,6-Tetramethyl-9-(4-Methoxyphenyl)3,4,6,7,9,10 hexahydroacridine-1,8-dione (C24H29NO3) in the spectral range 4000–400?cm?1 and 190–1400?nm, respectively. The thermo gravimetric (TG) analysis of the compound has been performed to check the thermal stability of the compound. The molecular geometry and complete vibrational spectra in the ground state are calculated by Hartree Fock (HF) and Density Functional Theory (DFT) using6-311G(d,p) basis set. The calculated vibrational harmonic frequencies are scaled using a proper scale factor, yielding a good agreement with the experimental data. Stability of the molecule arising from hyperconjugative interactions, charge delocalisation has been studied using natural bond orbital analysis (NBO). Mulliken charges, MEP mapping and temperature dependence on the thermodynamic properties in the optimised ground state have been calculated. UV–Visible spectrum of the molecule was calculated by using TD-DFT approach and the results were compared with the experimental one. We have calculated the several molecular parameters like ionisation potential, electron affinity, global hardness, electron chemical potential, electronegativity and global electrophilicity based on HOMO and LUMO energy values calculated at B3LYP/6-311G(d,p) level of theory. The calculated optimised structural parameters and vibrational wavenumbers are found to be in good agreement with the experimental results.  相似文献

The Fourier‐transform infrared (FT‐IR) (4000–50 cm−1) and Raman spectra (3500–100 cm−1) of 1,4,5‐triazanaphthalene in polycrystalline state were measured. Comparison between the spectra by two techniques, a series of density functional theory (DFT) calculations and the spectral behaviour upon deuteration were used for the assignment of the vibrational spectra of the title compound. The calculated vibrational wavenumbers by the B3LYP density functionals are generally consistent with the observed spectra. Copyright © 2009 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The experimental and theoretical study on the structures and vibrations of 5‐fluoro‐salicylic acid and 5‐chloro‐salicylic acid (5‐FSA and 5‐ClSA, C7H5FO3 and C7H5ClO3) is presented. The Fourier transform infrared spectra (4000–400 cm−1) and the Fourier transform Raman spectra (4000–50 cm−1) of the title molecules in the solid phase were recorded. The molecular structures, vibrational wavenumbers, infrared intensities, Raman intensities and Raman scattering activities were calculated for a pair of molecules linked by the intermolecular O H···O hydrogen bond. The geometrical parameters and energies of 5‐FSA and 5ClSA were obtained for all eight conformers/isomers from density functional theory (DFT) (B3LYP) with 6‐311++G(d,p) basis set calculations. The computational results identified the most stable conformer of 5‐FSA and 5‐ClSA as the C1 form. The complete assignments were performed on the basis of the total energy distribution (TED) of the vibrational modes, calculated with scaled quantum mechanics (SQM) method. The spectroscopic and theoretical results were compared with the corresponding properties for 5‐FSA and 5‐ClSA monomers and dimer of C1 conformer. The optimized bond lengths, bond angles and calculated wavenumbers showed the best agreement with the experimental results. Copyright © 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

High-resolution vibration—rotation spectra of monochloroacetylene (HCCCl) have been recorded in two different wavenumber regions. Fourier transform infrared interferometer measurements in the 4000–10000cm?1 range have been performed with a resolution of 0.005–0.016cm?1 and titanium: sapphire ring laser intracavity photoacoustic measurements in the 12500–12600cm?1 and 12800–12860cm?1 regions have been carried out with a Doppler-limited resolution of about 0.02 cm?1. Altogether, 40 vibrational bands belonging to the HCC35 Cl and 15 bands belonging to the HCC37 Cl isotopic species have been rotationally assigned. A vibrational model, based on the conventional rectilinear normal coordinate theory including anharmonic Fermi, Darling—Dennison and vibrational l-type doubling resonances, has been used to attach vibrational labels to the bands. This approach is found to describe well the rovibrational energy level structure at least in the energy range covered in this work. The model shows that the CH oscillator becomes decoupled from the rest of the molecule as vibrational energy increases.  相似文献

The analyses of possible conformations, molecular structures, vibrational and electronic properties of 2-(methylthio)nicotinic acid molecule, C7H7NO2S, with the synonym 2-(methylsulfanyl)nicotinic acid have been first presented theoretically. At the same time, FT-IR and micro-Raman spectra of 2-(methylthio)nicotinic acid were recorded in the regions 400–4000 cm?1 and 100–4000 cm?1, respectively. In our calculations, the DFTB3LYP method with 6–311G(d, p) basis set was used to have the structural and spectroscopic data about the mentioned molecule in the ground state and the results obtained were compared with experimental values. Furthermore, gauge invariant atomic orbital (GIAO) 1H and 13C NMR chemical shifts in different solvents, UV-vis TD-DFT calculations, the highest occupied molecular orbitals (HOMO-2, HOMO-1, HOMO), lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO), molecular electrostatic potantial (MEP) surface, atomic charges and thermodynamic properties of molecule have been theoretically verified and simulated at the mentioned level. The energetic behavior of title molecule in different solvent media was investigated by using DFT/B3LYP method with 6–311G(d, p) basis set in terms of integral equation formalism polarizable continuum model (IEFPCM). In addition, the calculated infrared intensities, Raman activities, reduce masses and force constants of the compound under study have been also reported.  相似文献

FT‐IR and FT‐Raman spectra of p‐bromonitrobenzene (p‐BNB) have been recorded in the region 4000–400 cm−1 and 4000–50 cm−1, respectively. The molecular structure, geometry optimization, vibrational wavenumbers have been investigated. The spectra were interpreted with the aid of normal coordinate analysis based on the density functional theory (DFT) using the standard B3LYP/6‐31G method and basis set combination and was scaled using multiple scale factors yielding good agreement between observed and calculated wavenumbers. The results of the calculations are applied to simulate infrared and Raman spectra of the title compound which showed reasonable agreement with the observed spectra. The FTIR and FT-Raman spectra of tetrahydroxy-1,4quinone hydrate have been recorded in the regions 4000–400 and 3500–50 cm–1 respectively. Using the observed Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and FT-Raman data, a complete vibrational assignment and analysis of the fundamental modes of the compound has been carried out. The optimum molecular geometry, harmonic vibrational frequencies, infrared intensities and Raman scattering activities, were calculated by the density functional theory (DFT/B3LYP) and Hartree–Fock (HF) method with 6-311+G(d,p) basis set. The difference between the observed and scaled wavenumber values of most of the fundamental vibrations is very small. A detailed interpretation of the infrared and Raman spectra of tetrahydroxy-1,4quinone hydrate is also reported. The calculated HOMO and LUMO energies show that charge transfer occurs within the molecule.  相似文献

The Fourier transform infrared (4000–400 cm−1) and Fourier transform Raman (3500–500 cm−1) spectra of 4‐hydroxy‐3‐(3‐oxo‐1‐phenylbutyl)‐2H‐1‐benzopyran‐2‐one (Warfarin) have been measured and calculated. The structure optimization has been made using density functional theory (DFT) calculations. Complete vibrational assignments of the observed spectra have been compared with theoretical wavenumbers. The wavenumber increasing in the methyl group shows the electronic hyperconjugation effect. The natural bond orbital (NBO) analysis reveals the hyperconjugation interaction and the intramolecular hydrogen bonding. The first‐order hyperpolarizability has been calculated. The experimental and theoretical vibrational spectra of 2‐fluorophenylboronic acid (2fpba) were studied. The Fourier transform Raman and Fourier transform infrared spectra of the 2fpba molecule were recorded in the solid phase. The structural and spectroscopic analysis of the molecule was carried out by using Hartree‐Fock and density functional harmonic calculations. For the title molecule, only one form was found to be the most stable structure, by using B3LYP level with the 6‐31++G(d,p) basis set. Selected experimental bands were assigned and characterized on the basis of the scaled theoretical wavenumbers by their total energy distribution (TED). The 1H and 13C nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) chemical shifts of the 2fpba molecule were calculated using the Gauge‐Invariant‐ atomic orbital (GIAO) method in DMSO solution using IEF‐PCM model and compared with the experimental data. Finally, geometric parameters, vibrational wavenumbers and chemical shifts were compared with available experimental data of the molecule. Copyright © 2009 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

We have synthesized 4‐[N‐phenyl‐N‐(3‐methylphenyl)‐amino]‐benzoic acid (4‐[PBA]) and investigated its molecular vibrations by infrared and Raman spectroscopies as well as by calculations based on the density functional theory (DFT) approach. The Fourier transform (FT) Raman, dispersive Raman and FT‐IR spectra of 4‐[PBA] were recorded in the solid phase. We analyzed the optimized geometric structure and energies of 4‐[PBA] in the ground state. Stability of the molecule arising from hyperconjugative interactions and charge delocalization was studied using natural bond orbital analysis. The results show that change in electron density in the σ* and π* antibonding orbitals and E2 energies confirm the occurrence of intramolecular charge transfer within the molecule. Theoretical calculations were performed at the DFT level using the Gaussian 09 program. Selected experimental bands were assigned and characterized on the basis of the scaled theoretical wavenumbers by their total energy distribution. The good agreement between the experimental and theoretical spectra allowed positive assignment of the observed vibrational absorption bands. Finally, the calculation results were applied to simulate the Raman and IR spectra of the title compound, which show agreement with the observed spectra. The FT-IR and micro-Raman spectra of three n-alkyltrimethylammonium bromides (dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide (DTAB), tetradecyltrimethylammonium bromide (TTAB) and hexadecyl(cetyl)trimethylammonium bromide (CTAB)) in powder form were recorded in the regions 4000–550 cm?1 and 3200–300 cm?1, respectively. The optimized geometries and vibrational frequencies of DTAB, TTAB and CTAB have been carried out with ab initio Hartree-Fock (HF) and density functional theory method B3LYP calculations with the 6–31 G (d, p) basis set in the ground state. The comparison of the observed fundamental vibrational frequencies and calculated results for the fundamental vibrational frequencies of DTAB, TTAB and CTAB indicate that the scaled B3LYP method is superior compared to the scaled HF method.  相似文献

Fourier transform infrared and Raman spectra of 2,3-pyrazinedicarboxylic acid were recorded and analyzed using density functional theory. The complete assignments of the anharmonic vibrational modes have been performed based on potential energy distribution. The anharmonic frequencies were computed using vibrational second-order perturbation theory as well as vibrational self-consistent field and correlation corrected vibrational self-consistent field methods. Mode–mode coupling strength is also estimated using two-mode representation of quartic force field approximation. The intra- and intermolecular interactions were also studied in the dimer and trimer forms of the title molecule. The ultraviolet–visible absorption spectra in ethanol, methanol, and acetonitrile solvents were recorded and analyzed using time-dependent density functional theory involving the polarization continuum model. The observed and calculated results are well comparable. Molecular electrostatic potential and the highest occupied and the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital analyses are also reported.  相似文献

In this study, the Fourier‐transform infrared (FT‐IR) and FT‐Raman spectra of 3,5‐dichlorophenylboronicacid (3,5‐dcpba) were recorded in the solid phase. The structural and spectroscopic analysis of the 3,5‐dichlorophenylboronic was made by using density functional harmonic calculations. There are three conformers for this molecule. The computational results diagnose the most stable conformer of 3,5‐dcpba as the ct form. The geometrical parameters and energies have been obtained for all three conformers from DFT (B3LYP) with 6‐311+ + G(d,p) basis set calculations. The vibrations of stable and unstable conformers of 3,5‐dcpba are researched by using quantum chemical calculations. The complete assignments were performed on the basis of the total energy distribution (TED) of the vibrational modes calculated with the scaled quantum mechanics (SQM) method. The stability of the molecule arising from hyperconjugative interactions and charge delocalization has been analyzed using the natural bond orbital (NBO) analysis. The results show that the charge in electron density (ED) in the π* and σ* antibonding orbitals and E2 energies confirms the occurrence of ıntermolecular charge transfer (ICT) within the molecule. Finally, the calculation results were applied to simulated infrared and Raman spectra of the title compound, which show agreement with the observed spectra. The dynamics of the coherent photoisomerization of the 11-cis-retinal in bovine rhodopsin is studied by femtosecond time-resolved laser absorption spectroscopy with a resolution of 30 fs. Rhodopsin is excited with 500-, 535-, and 560-nm femtosecond pulses to produce different initial Franck-Condon states with different vibrational energies of the molecule in its electronically excited state. The time evolution of the photoinduced differential absorption spectra of rhodopsin is measured upon excitation with a femtosecond pulse in a spectral range from 400 to 720 nm. Oscillations in the time-resolved absorption of the rhodopsin photoproducts, such as photorhodopsin with a vibrationally excited all-trans-retinal and in its initial-state rhodopsin with a vibrationally excited 11-cis-retinal, are examined. It is demonstrated that these oscillations reflect the dynamics of coherent vibrational wavepackets. The Fourier transform of these oscillatory components yields frequencies, amplitudes, and initial phases of various vibrational modes involved in the motion the wavepackets in both photoproducts. The main vibrational modes manifest themselves at frequencies of 62 and 160 cm?1 for photorhodopsin and 44 and 142 cm?1 for initial-state rhodopsin. It is shown that these vibrational modes are directly involved in the coherent reaction under the study, with their amplitudes in the power spectrum produced by the Fourier transform of the kinetic curves being dependent on the wavelength of rhodopsin excitation.  相似文献
