针对高精度长环光纤陀螺在振动条件下性能下降的问题,从光路、结构和电路闭环控制的角度分析了力学环境导致光纤陀螺误差的机理,并建立了数字闭环控制的系统模型。根据分析和建模结果,提出了从光学设计、光学工艺、结构设计和优化闭环控制的方式改善光纤陀螺抗振性能的方法,并设计了优化闭环控制的增益参数改善振动环境的响应性能。优化参数后的光纤陀螺抗振性能得到了大幅度提高。试验结果证明了改进方案的正确性和有效性,实现了高精度光纤陀螺在动态环境下应用的突破。 相似文献

为满足小型光纤陀螺对光学器件小体积的要求,对铌酸锂多功能集成光学小型化器件的结构做了分析和优化设计。采用BPM软件分析了Y形分支波导的S形波导损耗与弯曲长度及折射率差的关系。通过调整退火质子交换的工艺参数,增加了波导对光的束缚能力;降低了小型化芯片上S形波导的弯曲损耗;去掉了原有Y形波导的输出端直波导,直接由S形弯曲波导引至输出端,在更短的芯片上得到了更长的弯曲过渡区。设计制作的芯片长度由常规的20 mm减至12.5 mm,封装后的器件长度减小到20 mm,为目前同类常规器件尺寸的2/3。设计制作的器件插入损耗典型值小于2.5 dB,全温损耗变化量小于0.2 dB。 相似文献

对适用于机敏结构的表面等离子体波光纤传感器进行了初步的研究。将这种光纤传感器埋入复合材料结构就构成了所谓机敏结构。这种机敏结构既可进行复合材料的固化监测,又可进行应变检测。有利于传感器数量的减少和布置的简化,减少了传感元件的埋入对结构本身性能的影响。可以充分发挥光纤传感器对结构进行全过程监测的优点,具有广泛的应用前景。 相似文献

Over the last two decades, the fiber optic technology has passed through many analytical stages. Some commercially available
fiber optic sensors, though in a small way, are being used for automation in mechanical and industrial environments. They
are also used for instrumentation and controls.
In the present work, an intensity-modulated intrinsic fiber optic sugar sensor is presented. This type of sensor, with slight
modification, can be used for on-line determination of the concentration of sugar content in sugarcane juice in sugar industry.
In the present set-up, a plastic fiber made of polymethylmethacrylate is used. A portion of the cladding (1 cm, 2 cm, 3 cm)
at the mid-point along the length of the fiber is removed. This portion is immersed in sugar solution of known concentration
and refractive index. At one end of the fiber an 850 nm source is used and at the other end a power meter is connected. By
varying the concentration of sugar solution, the output power is noted. These studies are made due to the change in refractive
index of the fluid. The device was found to be very sensitive which is free from EMI and shock hazards, stable and repeatable
and they can be remotely interfaced with a computer to give on-line measurements and thus become useful for application in

The need for a new avionic interconnection scheme that can provide superior performance, installability and maintainability as compared with copper has become evident. Fiber optics, which has been proposed for this role, is expected to improve environmental immunity, decrease system weight, and increase bandwidth. It has also been suggested that sensors based on fiber optics can offer significant advantages in aerospace applications. Realizing these advantages is a difficult challenge because mature sensing technologies have done a good job at reasonable cost. Furthermore, it has been demonstrated that a wide variety of aircraft electrical sensors can be addressed by a few standard interfaces. Therefore, future fiber optic sensor suites will also need to be interrogated through only a few standard interfaces, and standardization of the fiber optic sensor interface will be a primary issue in furthering fiber optic sensing technology for aerospace applications. We investigate the connection between group velocity and rotation sensitivity in a number of resonant gyroscope designs. Two key comparisons are made. First, we compare two conventional sensors, namely a resonant fiber optic gyroscope (RFOG) and an interferometric fiber optic gyroscope (FOG). Second, we compare the RFOG to several recently proposed coupled‐resonator optical waveguide (CROW) gyroscopes. We show that the relationship between loss and maximum rotation sensitivity is the same for both conventional and CROW gyroscopes. Thus, coupling multiple resonators together cannot enhance rotation sensitivity. While CROW gyroscopes offer the potential for large group indices, this increase of group index does not provide a corresponding increase in the maximum sensitivity to rotation. For a given footprint and a given total loss, the highest sensitivity is shown to be achieved either in a conventional RFOG utilizing a single resonator, or a conventional FOG. 相似文献
