Description of Even–Even 114–134Xe Isotopes in the Transitional Region of IBM

Properties of ^114–134Xe isotopes are studied in the U(5)?SO(6) transitional region of Interacting Boson Model (IBM-1). The energy levels and B(E2) transition rates are calculated via the affine SU(1,1) Lie Algebra. The agreement with the most recent experimental is acceptable. The evaluated Hamiltonian control parameters suggest a spherical to γ-soft shape transition and propose the ¹³⁰Xe nucleus as the best candidate for the E(5) symmetry.     

Systematic Research on Shapes of Even Even Nuclei Around A～100 Regions With DHF Method

Using modified surface delta interaction, the deformed Hartree-Fock calculations for twenty tWo nuclei: ^102—114Ru, ^102—116Pd and ^104—116Cd are performed.Prolate and oblate configurations are obtained. The calculated results show that there exist form transitions and shape coexistence from mass number 102 to 116, and that the single-particle energy spectra are different not only for different mass number but also for different configurations of nuclei. At the same time, it is also found that the numbers of proton and the 3s_1/2 orbit begining to fill with neutrons play important roles in the shape transitions.

Mixed Symmetry States in Even—Even ^96—108Mo Nuclei

Excitation energies and electromagnetic transition strengths in even-even ^96-108Mo nuclei have been described systematically be using the proton-neutron interacting boson model (IBM-2).It appears that the properties of low-lying levels in these isotopes,for which the comparison between experiment and theory is possible,can be satisfactorily described by the IBM-2 model,provided proper account is taken of the presence at low energy of states having a mixed-symmetry character.It seems possible to identify,in each isotope,a few states having such a character,the lowest ones being either 22^ or 23^ levels.It is found that these nuclei are in the transition from U(5) to SU(3).

Homoclinic Bifurcation for Boussinesq Equation with Even Constraint

The exact homoclinic orbits and periodic soliton solution for the Boussinesq equation are shown. The equilibrium solution u0 = -1/6 is a unique bifurcation point. The homoclinic orbits and solitons will be interchanged with the solution varying from one side of-1/6 to the other aide. The solution structure can be understood in general.     

First Eigenvalue of the Dirac Operator for a Kähler Manifold of Even Complex Dimension: The Limiting Case

K. D. Kirchberg has given a minoration of the absolute value of the eigenvalues of the Dirac operator for a compact Kähler spin manifold (W,g) with positive scalar curvature and has introduced, in this context, the notion of Kähler twistor-spinor. We prove here that if dim_C W = p 4 is even, in the limiting case, (W, g) is the Kähler product of an odd-dimensional limiting case compact Kähler spin manifold of complex dimension (p-1), by a flat Kähler manifold which is a compact quotient of C.     

Nonclassicality Generated by Applying Hermite–Polynomials Photon-Added Operator on the Even/Odd Coherent States

We examine nonclassical properties of the quantum state generated by applying Hermite polynomials photon-added operator on the even/odd coherent state (HPECS/HPOCS). Explicit expressions for its nonclassical properties, such as quantum statistical properties and squeezing phenomenon, are obtained. It is interesting to find that the HPECS/HPOCS exhibits sub-Poissonian distribution, anti-bunching effects and negative values of the Wigner function. Thus, we confirm the HPPECS/HPPOCS is a new nonclassical state. Finally, we reveal that the HPPECS/HPPOCS is a novel intelligent state by its squeezing effects in position distribution and quadrature squeezing.

Even and odd coherent states are “shadowed-like” states

Shadowed states were introduced recently in the literature. It was shown that these states always exhibit nonclassical effects [R. Srinivasan and C.T. Lee, Phys. Lett. A 218 (1996) 151]. Here we show that the well known even and odd coherent states are shadowed-like states, whose differences and similarities are discussed.     

Comparison of Properties of Pt/PZT/Pt and Ru/PZT/Pt Ferroelectric Capacitors

Pb（Zr0.4Ti0.6）O3 film prepared by sol-gel spin coating on a Pt/Ti/SiO2/Si substrate is applied to ferroelectric capacitors with Pt or Ru as the top electrode. For the Pt/PZT/Pt and Ru/PZT/Pt ferroelectric capacitors, although with the same ferroelectric film, different top electrode materials incur different properties of PZT capacitors, such as fatigue, leakage, remanent and saturated polarization, except the similar crystal orientations of the PZT film. After 10^10 switch cycles, the remanent polarizations of the Ru/PZT/Pt and Pt/PZT/Pt capacitors decrease to 70% and 84%, respectively. The leakage current density of the latter increases obviously at positive bias after 108 switch cycles, compared with the former. Different materials for the top electrode bring different conditions at the PZT/top electrode interface. The influence of oxygen-vacancy concentration at the PZT/electrode interface and the influence of oxides of the electrode material at the PZT/electrode interface to charge injection can explain the difference of properties of the PZT capacitors with Pt or Ru as the top electrodes.

Determination of the probability of existence of pair interactions in the formation of M2tX2t?1Superstructures in MXy nonstoichiometric compounds

An analytical method has been proposed for calculating the probabilities P _i ^(2)(s) of existence of X-X, X−□, and □−□ pair interactions in the nonmetal sublattice of M _2tX_2t−1 superstructures formed in strongly nonstoichiometric compounds MX _y (MX _y □_1−y) and M ₂X _y (MX_y/2□_1−y/2) with a high content of structural vacancies □. The main characteristics necessary for the quantitative determination of the probabilities P_i(2)(s) as functions of the composition, degree of long-range order, symmetry, and structure type have been determined for all the known superstructures M _2tX_2t−1.     

Assessment of the possibility of determination of the electrophysical characteristics of CdxHg1–xTe p+–n-structures using differential hall measurements

The process of reconstuction of the distribution profile of hole concentration in the p ⁺–n structure by the method of differential Hall measurements upon implantation of ions As⁺ (Е = 190 keV, D = 3.10¹⁴ cm^-2, j = 0.025 μA/cm²) into epitaxial films Cd _x Hg_1–x Te for x ~ 0.2, with the initial electron concentration and mobility n = 10¹⁴ cm^-3 and μ = 2∙10⁵ cm²∙V^–1∙s^–1 is numerically simulated. The dependences of degree of reconstruction of the hole-concentration distribution profile on the depth of a shunting n-layer and magnitude of the magnetic field, at which the electrophysical parameters of the p ⁺–n structure are measured, are calculated. The dependence of the limiting magnetic field determining the magnetic-field range for measurements on the n-layer depth is found. It is shown that in calculations one should use the conduction values measured at the same magnetic fields as the Hall coefficients for determination of the holeconcentration distribution profile using the Petritz model.

Effects of Ag on Electrical Properties of Ag/Ni/p-GaN Ohmic Contact

Properties of the Ag/Ni/p-GaN structure at different temperatures are studied by Auger electron spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy and high resolution x-ray diffraction. The effect of Ag in ohmic contact on the crystalline quality is investigated and the optimized value of annealing temperature is reported. The lowest specific contact resistance of 2.5 × 10^-4 Ωcm^2 is obtained at annealing temperature of 550^o C.     

Effect of biaxial strain on the band gap of wurtzite AlxGa1?xN

First-principles calculations are applied to investigate the effect of biaxial strain on the band gap of wurtzite Al _x Ga_1−x N. The band gap and band gap bowing parameter increase with compressive strain and decrease with tensile strain. The strain-induced changes in the band gap of Al _x Ga_1−x N are linear in the strain range of about −1% to 1% while the linearity is invalid out of the range. The linear coefficient B(x), characterizing the relationship between the band gap and the biaxial stress, with a quadratic form is obtained. The value of the band gap bowing parameter decreases from 1.0 eV for −2% strain to 0.91 eV for unstrained and to 0.67 eV for 2% strain.     

Squeezing and Higher-order Squeezing Properties of Eigenstates of the Operator akqs

The squeezing and higher-order squeezing properties of k orthonormalized eigenstates of the higher powers akqs(k≥3) of the annihilation operator of two-parameter deformed harmonic oscillator are investigated. It is found that the Nth-power squeezing [N=(m+1/2)k, m=0,1,2,…] can exist in the all of them when k is even.     

Rotational and vibrational analysis of bands of the f1Δ-a1Δ system of titanium oxide

Five new bands of the f¹Δ-a¹Δ TiO system have been observed in emission between 17774.0 cm^?1 and 19801.0 cm^?1. Rotational and vibrational analyses of the 0-1, 1-0, 1-2, 2-1, and 1-1 bands, as well as a reanalysis of the 0-0 band, yielded the following molecular constants (cm^?1):
