Although a common technique to obtain the grain size distribution of an ensemble of magnetic nanoparticles is to fit its high-temperature magnetization to a distribution of Langevin functions, the anisotropy at temperatures close to the blocking temperature produces spurious results. This effect is justified on the basis of a power expansion of the free energy of the system.  相似文献

A complete RF coil system, as has been previously defined, is capable of generating any steady-state RF field, at the MR frequency, that is compatible with Maxwell's equations. A coil system is complete if it is capable of generating all basis vector fields in the multipole expansion of the electromagnetic fields. A complete coil system has the potential to reach the ultimate intrinsic signal-to-noise as an MRI receiver coil. It also offers maximum flexibility in tailoring the spatial RF field distribution as an excitation coil. Here, computer simulations have been performed on array coils employing composite coil elements, assuming the current loops are small and can be approximated by magnetic dipoles. We demonstrate that a coil array can be configured to approximate a truncated complete array coil and to generate the basis magnetic vector fields up to certain orders in the multipole expansion of the electromagnetic fields.  相似文献

The equilibrium period of the stripe-domain structure on the magnitude of The magnetic field perpendicular to the surface of a film is derived on the basis of a trapezoidal distribution law of the emergence angle of the magnetization vector from the surface of the film. A computation of the magnetic frictional forces, leading to energy dissipation, is performed. Curves of the alternating magnetization of the stripe-structure in normal fields are obtained. The regions of applicability of the model used and of Saito's model are found.  相似文献

A generalized mean field theory for disordered systems with the RKKY interaction is constructed on the basis of calculation and analysis of distribution functions for random magnetic fields produced by magnetic moments with an irregularly spatial distribution. These distribution functions are determined by two methods: (i) analytically and (ii) numerically by statistical processing of the results of calculation of random fields in a model system. For metals diluted by magnetic impurities, it is shown that the ground state of the system becomes magnetically ordered when the impurity concentration exceeds a certain critical value depending on the type of crystal lattice of the metal and the sample shape. The magnetic phase diagram of the system is determined and the temperature dependence of its magnetic susceptibility, the concentration dependence of the Curie temperature, and the temperature and concentration dependences of the magnetization and magnetic part of the heat capacity of the system are established.  相似文献

Persistent currents and magnetization are considered for a two-dimensional electron (or gas of electrons) coupled to various magnetic fields. Thermodynamic formulae for the magnetization and the persistent current are established and the “classical” relationship between current and magnetization is shown to hold for systems invariant both by translation and rotation. Applications are given, including the point vortex superposed onto an homogeneous magnetic field, the quantum Hall geometry (an electric field and an homogeneous magnetic field) and the random magnetic impurity problem (a random distribution of point vortices).  相似文献

Three systems of permanent magnets, which produce strong magnetic stray fields (SFs) with H>Br=4πMr were studied in this work. Remarkable feature of the developed systems is localization of the strong fields in large region with linear dimension Δr comparable to characteristic magnet dimension a. The first system composed of uniformly magnetized magnets generates sufficiently homogeneous strong SFs, which amounts up to 1.5 of magnets induction Br. The second system with nonuniform magnetization is represented by cylindrical and hemispheric magnets their magnetization vector directed at every point along the radius. Such distribution of magnetization is assumed to be the consequence of magnet radial crystal texture resulting in a high uniaxial anisotropy field HK. It is shown that maximal SFs can exist on the flat surface of cylindrical magnet at the distance r from its axis and their limiting value equals to 4πMr ln(2a/r). Here, the localization region of the fields is comparable to diameter of cylindrical magnet Δr≈2R. As for the hemisphere its SFs are less than corresponding SFs for the cylinder. The third so-called quasi-nonuniform system consists of uniformly magnetized cylindrical sectors their magnetization vector is directed along the sector bisectrix. The strong SFs and their localization region are calculated in details for this case. The passage to radial magnetized cylinder is considered.  相似文献

The response of uniaxial anisotropic ferromagnetic particles with linear reaction dynamics subjected to alternating current(AC) or direct current(DC) bias magnetic field is evaluated by the reaction–diffusion equation for the probability distribution function of the molecular concentration in the spherical coordinate system. The magnetization function and the probability distribution function of the magnetic particles in the reaction system are derived by using the Legendre polynomials and Laplace transform. We discuss the characteristics of magnetization and probability distribution of the magnetic particles with different anisotropic parameters driven by a DC and AC magnetic fields, respectively. It is shown that both the magnetization and the probability distribution decrease with time increasing due to the reaction process. The uniformity of the probability distribution and the amplitude of the magnetization are both affected by the anisotropic parameters.Meanwhile, the difference between the case with linear reaction dynamics and the non-reaction case is discussed.  相似文献

近年来, 磁性纳米管的物理性质和相关应用得到了人们的广泛关注. 利用有效场理论研究了纳米管上双模随机晶场中Blume-Capel模型的磁化强度和相变性质, 得到了系统的磁化强度与温度和随机晶场的关系及其相图. 结果表明: 系统在稀释晶场、交错晶场和同向晶场中会表现出不同的磁学性质和相变行为; 稀释晶场和交错晶场会抑制系统的磁化强度, 导致其基态饱和值小于1, 而同向晶场则不会; 随着随机晶场参量的变化, 系统存在多个相变温度, 并呈现出三临界现象和重入现象.  相似文献

We report detailed studies of the non-equilibrium magnetic behavior of antiferromagnetic Co3O4 nanoparticles. The temperature and field dependence of magnetization, wait time dependence of magnetic relaxation (aging), memory effects, and temperature dependence of specific heat have been investigated to understand the magnetic behavior of these particles. We find that the system shows some features that are characteristic of nanoparticle magnetism such as bifurcation of field-cooled (FC) and zero-field-cooled (ZFC) susceptibilities and a slow relaxation of magnetization. However, strangely, the temperature at which the ZFC magnetization peaks coincides with the bifurcation temperature and does not shift on application of magnetic fields up to 1 kOe, unlike most other nanoparticle systems. Aging effects in these particles are negligible in both FC and ZFC protocols, and memory effects are present only in the FC protocol. We show that Co3O4 nanoparticles constitute a unique antiferromagnetic system which enters into a blocked state above the average Néel temperature.  相似文献

On the basis of successful theoretical explanation of the observed large magnetic-field effect (by ∼7% with 1.5 T) on the dielectric constant below the Néel temperature TN of 5.5 K, we have demonstrated convincingly the magnetoelectric effect in an antiferromagnetic quantum paraelectric EuTiO3 system. The mutual control of electric and magnetic properties is revealed by the variation of the electric-field-induced polarization with applied magnetic fields as well as the change of the magnetic-field-induced spin moments under the control of electric fields. It is found that the applied electric field (magnetic field) acts like a fictitious magnetic field (electric field) on the EuTiO3 system. The magnetoelectric susceptibility is deduced to be proportional to the product of the magnetization, electrical polarization, magnetic susceptibility and dielectric susceptibility.  相似文献

We extend the Einstein-aether theory to include the Maxwell field in a nontrivial manner by taking into account its interaction with the time-like unit vector field characterizing the aether. We also include a generic matter term. We present a model with a Lagrangian that includes cross-terms linear and quadratic in the Maxwell tensor, linear and quadratic in the covariant derivative of the aether velocity four-vector, linear in its second covariant derivative and in the Riemann tensor. We decompose these terms with respect to the irreducible parts of the covariant derivative of the aether velocity, namely, the acceleration four-vector, the shear and vorticity tensors, and the expansion scalar. Furthermore, we discuss the influence of an aether non-uniform motion on the polarization and magnetization of the matter in such an aether environment, as well as on its dielectric and magnetic properties. The total self-consistent system of equations for the electromagnetic and the gravitational fields, and the dynamic equations for the unit vector aether field are obtained. Possible applications of this system are discussed. Based on the principles of effective field theories, we display in an appendix all the terms up to fourth order in derivative operators that can be considered in a Lagrangian that includes the metric, the electromagnetic and the aether fields.  相似文献

采用类Ising模型,利用Monte Carlo方法研究了磁性单层膜中退磁性偶极作用和铁磁性交换作用对系统磁学性质的影响.结果显示,随着偶极相互作用的增加,系统在低温下的磁化出现平台现象,此时磁化曲线可分为2个阶段,在低外场下,温度升高,系统易磁化,在高外场下则反之.这种新奇的磁化行为导致系统的磁熵变在低温低外场下出现大于零的反常行为.在模拟过程中,对长程力作用采用了比较精确的处理方法.  相似文献

An analytical approach is presented for the study of synchronization effects in spin-transfer-driven nanomagnets subjected to radio-frequency magnetic fields. The conditions are derived and discussed under which the current-induced magnetization precession is synchronized by the radio-frequency field. Exact analytical results are obtained for the case when the problem exhibits uniaxial symmetry around the axis perpendicular to the device plane. It is demonstrated that the magnetization dynamics under nonzero current and nonzero rf field is identical in structure to that under zero current. On this basis, analytical predictions are obtained for: the existence of phase-locking between current-induced magnetization precession and rf field oscillations; the frequency pulling effect in proximity of phase locking; the occurrence of hysteresis effects in phase-locking as a function of the spin-polarized current. The proposed approach is valid for arbitrary rf field amplitude and current intensity.  相似文献

The small oscillation modes in complex micromagnetic systems around an equilibrium are numerically evaluated in the frequency domain by using a novel formulation, which naturally preserves the main physical properties of the problem. The Landau–Lifshitz–Gilbert (LLG) equation, which describes magnetization dynamics, is linearized around a stable equilibrium configuration and the stability of micromagnetic equilibria is discussed. Special attention is paid to take into account the property of conservation of magnetization magnitude in the continuum as well as discrete model. The linear equation is recast in the frequency domain as a generalized eigenvalue problem for suitable self-adjoint operators connected to the micromagnetic effective field. This allows one to determine the normal oscillation modes and natural frequencies circumventing the difficulties arising in time-domain analysis. The generalized eigenvalue problem may be conveniently discretized by finite difference or finite element methods depending on the geometry of the magnetic system. The spectral properties of the eigenvalue problem are derived in the lossless limit. Perturbation analysis is developed in order to compute the changes in the natural frequencies and oscillation modes arising from the dissipative effects. It is shown that the discrete approximation of the eigenvalue problem obtained either by finite difference or finite element methods has a structure which preserves relevant properties of the continuum formulation. Finally, the generalized eigenvalue problem is solved for a rectangular magnetic thin-film by using the finite differences and for a linear chain of magnetic nanospheres by using the finite elements. The natural frequencies and the spatial distribution of the natural modes are numerically computed.  相似文献

We propose a method for high-density all-optical magnetic recording. Our analyses, based on the vector diffraction theory, show that owing to the inverse Faraday effect, circularly polarized laser pulses focused by a high numerical aperture (NA) lens can induce a small magnetization domain. For an example, the FWHM of the effective magnetization domain is 0.4646λ when NA=0.85. The magnetization direction is basically perpendicular to the surface of the optic-magneto film within the effective magnetization domain and the switching direction of magnetization can be controlled by the helicity of the incident circularly polarized light. These characteristics are useful to next-generation high-density all-optical magnetic storage.  相似文献

The macroscopic magnetic fields arising in the space outside or in the bulk of an antiferromagnet in the absence of external currents are a result of surface magnetization. The general problem of determining these fields is formulated. It is shown that the field distribution near special lines on the surface is monopolar. We consider a ferromagnetic system which is divided into domains with magnetization directions perpendicular to the plane of the sheet. This system is traversed by a polarized thermal neutron beam with the direction of the polarization vector perpendicular to the magnetization directions of the domains. On the basis of a few assumptions, we calculate the depolarization as a function of the direction of the neutron beam with respect to the plane of the sheet and in terms of the distribution function of the domain sizes as seen in a direction in the plane of the sheet. The result of this calculation is compared to a computer simulation of the same problem and to an experimental result published earlier.  相似文献

In this contribution, we study the behaviour of magnetically disordered electron systems. In a model with localized magnetic fields at the atomic sites, a CPA-like method, which has regard for the vector character of the fields, is used to examine the case where the localized fields, which correspond to atomic magnetic moments, are distributed statistically. In an example for a non-isotropic distribution of the fields, we construct a system state with partial homogeneous order of the localized fields (or moments). The ordering behaviour of the system and the comparison of the new magnetic state with pure magnetic and non-magnetic band states and with the non-magnetic state of (isotropic) stochastic distribution of the localized fields is discussed.
