We develop an injection-seeded single-frequency neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet (Nd:YAG) laser with 500 Hz repetition rate and high peak power. The laser construction is designed as seed injection and master oscillator power amplifier (MOPA) including single-frequency master oscillator, extra-cavity frequency doubling crystal, and round-trip power amplifier. The master oscillator can emit 1,064 nm laser of 8.4 mJ with 6.8 ns pulse width at the pump energy equal to 23 mJ. A green laser energy of 1.1 mJ is obtained by setting the proper temperature of the LBO crystal. The pulse energy of 1,064 nm laser decreases to 6.5 mJ after passing through the LBO crystal and rises to 25.3 mJ after a round-trip power amplifier corresponding to the extraction efficiency of 29%. The final output pulse width is 6.5 ns, representing a peak power of 3.9 MW. The 1,064 nm laser beam quality factor M2 of the master oscillator and the amplified one are 1.3 and 1.5, respectively. The laser will be used to generate mid-infrared where the 532 nm laser with narrow pulse width is to pump sheet optical parametric oscillator (OPO) and the 1,064 nm laser with high peak power to pump the OPO.  相似文献

报道了一种1kHz窄脉冲宽度、高峰值功率的电光腔倒空1 064nm全固态激光器.该激光器采用808nm脉冲LD侧面泵浦Nd:YAG晶体棒的双凹型折叠谐振腔结构和同步延迟MgO∶LN晶体横向加压式电光腔倒空技术,通过优化设计谐振腔结构,在脉冲重复频率200Hz时,获得了最大单脉冲能量46.7mJ、脉冲宽度4.06ns、峰值功率11.50MW的1 064nm脉冲激光稳定输出,脉冲宽度和能量的峰峰值不稳定度分别为±1.52%和±2.02%;在1kHz时,最大单脉冲能量达到18.3mJ,脉冲宽度5.02ns,峰值功率3.69MW,脉冲宽度和能量的峰峰值不稳定度分别为±2.75%和±3.52%,激光束因子为3.849和3.868,远场发散角为3.46mrad和3.55mrad,束腰直径为1 508.84μm和1 477.30μm.  相似文献

首次报道了氙灯泵浦的自激活自倍频NYAB复合功能晶体的BDN染料片调Q运转,获得了自倍频绿光单脉冲.测量了不同L和T_o情况下的绿光脉冲的能量、脉宽和峰值功率.文中还从理论上推导了自激活自倍频晶体调Q激光器的方程组.数值求解方程组,所得的理论数据与实验结果很好地相符.最后,讨论了进一步提高绿光脉冲峰值功率的途径.  相似文献

报道了一种灯泵浦结构的Nd:YAG晶体电光调Q高峰值功率266nm紫外激光器。结合磷酸二氢钾(KDP)晶体性质,基于倍频理论,分析了考虑走离效应情况下存在相位失配量时KDP晶体长度对转换效率的影响。该激光器采用紧凑的平平腔结构,灯泵浦Nd:YAG晶体电光调Q 1064nm激光作为基频光,腔外采用Ⅱ类匹配磷酸钛氧钾(KTP)和Ⅰ类匹配KDP分别作为二倍频和四倍频晶体。利用能量计、示波器等仪器进行测量,激光器重复频率1Hz时,获得脉宽6.0ns,单脉冲能量35mJ的266nm紫外激光输出,峰值功率高达5.83 MW;当重复频率10Hz时,获得单脉冲能量28.9mJ的266nm紫外激光。532~266nm转换效率最高可达31.9%。利用该高峰值功率、窄脉宽266nm紫外激光器,能够实现激光打标、激光雕刻。  相似文献

The aim of work was to characterize a simple oscillator consisted of Tm:YLF crystal end-pumped by a fiber coupled diode laser and active Q-switch with tunability option. About 7 W with near 35% slope efficiency was demonstrated in a free-running mode. The divergence angle was about 4.3 mrad and estimated parameter M2 < 1.3. Continuous tuning by means of Lyot’s filter, consisted of 2 quartz plates in the range of 1879.0–1939.4 nm with less than 1-nm linewidth, was achieved. For the best case (10-ms pump pulse duration, 42-A pump current corresponding to 266 mJ of pump energy), the Q-switched energy was 10.5 mJ with pulse duration of 22 ns corresponding to near 0.5 MW peak power. The 2.5 W of average power with 12.6-kW peak power and 2000-Hz repetition rate was demonstrated for cw pumping regime.  相似文献

We report >50-mJ Q-switched energy output from a 2.09-microm Ho:YAG oscillator, resonantly pumped at 1.9-microm by a diode-pumped Tm:YLF laser. We demonstrate a Q-switched-to-normal-mode extraction efficiency of 100% at an output energy of 30 mJ and over 64% at the 50-mJ output level. Operating at 50 mJ (60 Hz) of output, a pulse width of 14 ns is achieved from the holmium oscillator, which corresponds to approximately 3.6 MW of peak power. At the 50-mJ output level, a beam-propagation factor M2 approximately 1.2 is achieved.  相似文献

The pulse characteristics of a laser diode dual-end-pumped electro-optic Q-switched Nd:LuAG ceramic laser at various repetition rates are presented. The largest output pulse energy of 11 mJ is realized at the repetition rate of 100 Hz with pump energy of 84.3 mJ, and the slope efficiency in respect to pump pulse energy is 18.6%. The single pulse peak power reaches up to 1.57 MW. Using Nd:LuAG ceramic as the amplification medium seeded by an Nd:YAG laser of 5.2 mJ, a 10.3 mJ amplified pulse is obtained with pump pulse energy of 42.8 mJ, corresponding to an extraction efficiency of 11.9%.  相似文献

We present a compact high-peak-power, high-repetition-rate burst-mode laser from a master-oscillator power amplifier (MOPA) at 1064 nm for laser-based measurement applications. The oscillator is an 808 nm pulsed laser diode side-pumped acousto-optical (A-O) Q-switched Nd:YAG laser at repetition rates ranging from 10–100 kHz, producing a pulse train with a pulse number of 2–25. The maximum output energy of the oscillator is 15.6 mJ at 10 kHz, whereas it is 1.7 mJ at 100 kHz. After twostage amplifiers, a single-pulse energy of 85.2 mJ with a pulse-width of 14.5 ns is achieved at 10 kHz, which produces a peak power of 6.1 MW. At 100 kHz, the total burst energy reaches 220 mJ with a single-pulse energy of 8.8 mJ in the pulse burst laser system.  相似文献

综述了被动调Q铒玻璃激光器的发展概况,推导了被动调Q铒玻璃激光器输出脉冲能量、脉宽的解析表达式,数值模拟了腔内损耗与输出脉冲能量、脉宽及峰值功率的关系以及输出脉冲能量与输入抽运能量的关系.设计了一台LaMgAl11O19:Co2 被动调Q铒玻璃激光器,实验验证了数值模拟分析结果.结果表明,腔内损耗增加将导致输出脉冲能量下降,脉宽变大,从而峰值功率降低.输入能量低于12 J时,输出只有单脉冲,当输入能量大于12 J时,输出会出现双脉冲.在8 J的电输入下,获得了峰值功率50 kW,2.7 mJ的1.535 tm激光输出.最后讨论了提高单脉冲能量的方法.  相似文献

A flash lamp pumped 2.09 μm Cr, Tm, Ho:YAG laser utilizing a self-grown La(3)Ga(5)SiO(14) crystal as the electro-optic Q-switch generator is proposed and demonstrated for the first time. Operating at 3 Hz repetition rate, 520 mJ pulse energy with 35 ns pulse width is achieved by optimizing the Q-switch delay time and compensating for the thermal depolarization with a quarter-wave plate. The corresponding peak power is 14.86 MW, and the Q-switched-to-normal-mode energy extraction efficiency is 66.3%. To our knowledge, this Q-switched giant pulse is the best result reported to date in 2.09 μm laser resonator.  相似文献

2μm低重复频率高峰值功率高光束质量激光在中长波光参量非线性频率变换等领域具有较为广阔的应用前景。采用L型谐振腔结构,使用42 W的掺Tm光纤激光器泵浦Ho:YLF晶体。基于磷酸钛氧铷(RTP)电光调Q技术,实现了重复频率50 Hz、脉冲宽度18 ns、脉冲能量13.5 mJ、峰值功率0.75 MW的2.05μm Ho:YLF固体激光输出。光束的水平方向和竖直方向M2因子分别为1.4和1.1。该Ho:YLF固体激光器采用光纤激光器泵浦,具有结构紧凑的特点,为更高能量的Ho激光输出奠定了基础。  相似文献

We demonstrate MW-level, single resonance optical parametric oscillator, based on KTP Type-II crystal with noncritical phase-matching. The OPO is pumped by electro-optically Q-switched Nd:YAG slab laser providing 55?mJ of pulse energy.  为了实现高可靠、窄脉宽、高峰值功率激光输出,采用侧面泵浦技术和电光调Q技术,设计出一种激光二极管侧面泵浦电光调Q全固态绿光激光器。采用结构简单、紧凑的平-平腔设计,其端镜和输出镜均为平面镜,获得较稳定的侧面泵浦Nd∶YAG腔外倍频KTP脉冲绿光激光输出。当泵浦电流为120A,重复频率为600Hz时,获得脉冲绿光的最高输出平均功率为3.62W,1064nm到532nm的转换效率为15.3%,其脉宽为21ns,峰值功率为300kW, 单脉冲能量为6.01mJ。实验结果表明:该激光器稳定性可靠,输出激光脉宽较窄、峰值功率高。  相似文献

We exploit an AlGaInAs periodic quantum-well absorber with a large modulation strength to realize a multi-mJ passively Q-switched Nd:YVO4 laser with a repetition rate up to 200 Hz. At a pump energy of 34 mJ, the output pulse energy and the peak power are found to be 3.5 mJ and 1.1 MW, respectively. The fluctuation of the output pulse energy is generally less than ±2%.  相似文献

A large aperture tapered fused silica fiber phase conjugate mirror with a maximum 50.7% stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) reflectivity is presented, which is operated with 400 Hz pulse repetition rate and 36.5 mJ input pulse energy. To the best of our knowledge, it is the first time that over 50% SBS reflectivity is achieved by using solid-state phase conjugate mirror under such high pulse repetition rate and high pulse energy. With much higher pulse repetition rate of 500 and 1000 Hz, the maximum SBS reflectivity is 41.2% and 33.3%, respectively. A single-longitudinal-mode Nd:YAG laser is experimentally studied with master oscillator power amplifier (MOPA) scheme using such a tapered fiber as a phase conjugate mirror. A 101 mJ pulse energy is achieved at 400 Hz repetition rate, with a pulse width of 6 ns and a M2 factor of less than 2. The corresponding peak power reaches 16.8 MW.  相似文献

We have developed a novel electro-optic Q-switched diode-end-pumped solid slab laser that combines high energy, short pulse width, high repetition rates, and diffraction-limited beam quality. With two partially end-pumped Nd:YLF slabs and a 100 mm long off-axis positive branch stable-unstable oscillator, 24.2 mJ, 7.1 ns electro-optic Q-switched pulse at 1 kHz repetition rate with a beam quality of M(x)(2)=1.4 and M(y)(2)=1.3 was generated. The peak power reached 3.5 MW. Efficient external second-harmonic generation was achieved by use of lithium triborate with low peak-power intensity.  相似文献

The generation of high pulse and average power radiation in the eye-safe region (wavelength around 1.599 μm) by the third Stokes generation in a barium nitrate Raman laser was demonstrated by pumping with 10 ns pulses of a Nd:YAG laser. Converted pulse energy was up to 93 mJ (peak power was 10 MW) at a pump energy of 300 mJ, which corresponds to a quantum efficiency of 47%.
