脊柱的治疗非常重要,其中螺钉的准确植入是其内固定术的一个重要影响因素。但由于椎骨外形差异较大,很容易在螺钉植入过程中出现误植,从而引起并发症。因此,需要寻找一种准确的椎弓根螺钉植入检测与监测方法。提出了一种联合近红外参数和CT影像方法,该方法可应用于椎弓根螺钉的植入过程中,将计划植钉路径上椎骨组织的近红外参数和CT值进行研究,提高术中植钉的准确率。首先以猪椎骨为实验模型,规划手术中的典型螺钉植入路径;然后采用相关系统测量植入针道上的光谱,计算光谱分析得到最佳近红外参数,将其定义为特征因子;进一步将规划路径上的CT值与特征因子进行关联,建立三维空间CT值与近红外参数的转换模型。结果表明CT值与特征因子具有线性关系,为椎弓根螺钉植钉手术中的螺钉位置实时监测提供了参考依据,该模型可以用于螺钉植入术中监测和误植预警。论文提出的联合近红外参数和CT影像的椎弓根螺钉植入术中监测方法,为临床手术中植钉准确率的提高奠定了基础。  相似文献

超声检测单螺杆挤出机中聚合物共混状态时,螺杆结构对回波信号幅值的衰减有很大影响,从而难以判别共混状态。本文分析了螺杆结构对超声回波信号的影响,以超声传播时间为依据,建立螺杆结构模型,根据螺棱位置的回波幅度,计算出低密度聚乙烯(LDPE)的衰减系数和不同螺杆位置的反射系数比,通过拟合建立反射系数比与螺杆结构关系模型;将上述模型应用到混合物中,计算不同位置的传感器采集信号的衰减系数方差并以此表征聚合物混合状态的均匀性。实验结果利用样本的电镜扫描图验证:上述建立模型及混合状态的表征方法可以较好地判别聚合物的共混状态。  相似文献

The oblique transmission of light through a gyrotropic crystal layer being in an ultrasound field is considered. The problem is solved by the Ambartsumian layer addition method. The specific properties of the natural polariations and eigenvalues of the transfer function for the complex amplitude are considered. Nonlinear propagation of sound has been exploited in the last 15 years in medical ultrasound imaging through tissue harmonic imaging (THI). THI creates an image by filtering the received ultrasound echo around the second harmonic frequency band. This technique produces images of enhanced quality due to reduced body wall reverberation, lower perturbations from off-axis echoes, and multiple scattering of reduced amplitude. In order to optimize the image quality it is essential to be able to predict the amplitude level and spatial distribution of the propagating ultrasound pulse. A method based on the quasi-linear approximation has been developed to quickly provide an estimate of the ultrasound pulse. This method does not need to propagate the pulse stepwise from the source plane to the desired depth; it directly computes a transverse profile at any depth from the definitions of the transducer and the pulse. The computation handles three spatial dimensions which allows for any transducer geometry. A comparison of pulse forms, transverse profiles, as well as axial profiles obtained by this method and state-of-the-art simulators, the KZKTexas code, and Abersim, shows a satisfactory match. The computation time for the quasi-linear method is also smaller than the time required by the other methods.  相似文献

聚焦超声消融肿瘤过程中的损伤实时监测是临床治疗面临的一个关键难题,双频聚焦超声不仅能提高治疗效率,且能在共焦区域激发出声信号,该声信号的幅值、频率等信息与焦域组织的机械和声学特性紧密相关。本文构建了一种双频聚焦超声治疗及组织损伤实时监测系统。该系统在聚焦超声辐照离体组织过程中,通过外部水听器接收双频激发的组织声发射信号,并通过上位机进行高速数据采集、数字滤波、时频处理等,分析声发射信号幅值与离体组织损伤之间的变化规律。实验研究结果表明:随着焦域组织损伤的形成,其弹性等声学特征发生改变,导致声发射信号幅值逐渐降低,表明声发射信号幅值的变化可较好地反映靶组织声学特征和结构的变化,从而实现聚焦超声治疗中靶组织损伤的实时监测。本文提出的监测方案相比传统超声影像监控更灵敏,有望为聚焦超声临床治疗中的组织损伤监控提供一种新的实时监测方案和手段。  相似文献

Sub-harmonic component generated from microbubbles is proven to be potentially used in noninvasive blood pressure measurement. Both theoretical and experimental studies are performed in the present work to investigate the dependence of the sub-harmonic generation on the overpressure with different excitation pressure amplitudes and pulse lengths. With4-MHz ultrasound excitation at an applied acoustic pressure amplitude of 0.24 MPa, the measured sub-harmonic amplitude exhibits a decreasing change as overpressure increases; while non-monotonic change is observed for the applied acoustic pressures of 0.36 MPa and 0.48 MPa, and the peak position in the curve of the sub-harmonic response versus the overpressure shifts toward higher overpressure as the excitation pressure amplitude increases. Furthermore, the exciting pulse with long duration could lead to a better sensitivity of the sub-harmonic response to overpressure. The measured results are explained by the numerical simulations based on the Marmottant model. The numerical simulations qualitatively accord with the measured results. This work might provide a preliminary proof for the optimization of the noninvasive blood pressure measurement through using sub-harmonic generation from microbubbles.  相似文献

Purpose

The purpose of the study was to assess the usefulness of slice encoding for metal artifact correction (SEMAC) in 3.0-T magnetic resonance (MR) in minimizing metallic artifacts in patients with spinal prostheses.

Materials and Methods

Institutional review board approval and informed consent were obtained for this study. Twenty-seven spine MR scans were performed with metal artifact reduction SEMAC between May 2011 and July 2012 in patients with metallic devices. The MR scans were performed on a 3-T MR system (Achieva; Philips Healthcare, Best, the Netherlands) including SEMAC-corrected T2-weighted axial/sagittal images and two-dimensional fast spin echo (FSE) axial/sagittal images. The SEMAC-corrected images were compared to conventional T2-weighted FSE images. Two musculoskeletal radiologists qualitatively analyzed the images in terms of visualization of the pedicle, vertebral body, dural sac, intervertebral disc, intervertebral neural foramina, screws and metallic artifacts. The paired images were rated using a 5-point scale. P values less than .05 were considered to indicate statistically significant differences.

Results

The SEMAC-corrected MR images significantly reduced the metal-related artifacts. The T2-weighted images with SEMAC sequences enabled significantly improved periprosthetic visualizations of the pedicle, vertebral body, dural sac and neural foramina, with the exception of the intervertebral disc (P < .05). In addition, there was significant improvement in prosthesis visualization (P < .05).

Conclusion

MR images with SEMAC can reduce metal-related artifacts, providing improved delineation of the prosthesis and periprosthetic region. However, for the evaluation of the intervertebral disc, the SEMAC-corrected MR images showed no significant benefits.  相似文献

It is known that sonochemical reactions are enhanced by pulsing ultrasound. A method to optimize a sonochemical reactor using a pulsing operation was studied through the measurement of changes in sonoluminescence (SL) intensity from distilled water under various experimental conditions. It was confirmed that pulsing with a constant input power level enhanced SL intensity at lower power levels because of the higher amplitude of ultrasound. In contrast to this, a quenching effect due to excessive sound pressure appeared at higher power levels, and the pulsing operation was not effective under these conditions. Pulsing is more effective at higher frequency than at lower frequency.  相似文献

Background and Purpose

Fluid-sensitive MR imaging in postoperative evaluation is important, however, metallic artifacts is inevitable. The purpose is to investigate the feasibility of fat-saturated slice encoding for metal artifact correction (SEMAC)-corrected T2-weighted magnetic resonance (MR) at 3T in patients with spinal prostheses.

Methods

Following institutional review board approval, 27 SEMAC-encoded spinal MRs between September 2012 and October 2013 in patients with spinal metallic prostheses were analyzed. The MR images were scanned on a 3T MR system including SEMAC-corrected and uncorrected fast spin echo (FSE) T2-weighted MR images with fat-saturation. Two musculoskeletal radiologists compared the image sets and qualitatively analyzed the images using a five-point scale in terms of artifact reduction around the prosthesis, visualization of the prosthesis and pedicle, and intervertebral neural foramina. Quantitative assessments were performed by calculating the ratio of signal intensity from the fixated vertebra and that from upper level vertebra. For statistical analyses, paired t-test was used.

Results

Fat-saturated SEMAC-corrected T2-weighted MR images enabled significantly improved metallic artifact reduction (P < 0.05). Quantitative evaluation of the signal intensity ratio of screw-fixated vertebra and upper level vertebra showed a significantly lower ratio on fat-saturated SEMAC images (P < 0.05), however, the high signal intensity of signal pile-up could be not completely corrected.

Conclusion

SEMAC correction in fat-suppressed T2-weighted MR images can overcome the signal loss of metallic artifacts and provide improved delineation of the pedicle screw and peri-prosthetic region. Signal pile-up, however, could not be corrected completely, therefore readers should be cautious in the evaluation of marrow around the prosthesis.  相似文献

Background

Pulsed transcranial ultrasound stimulation (pTUS) can modulate the neuronal activity of motor cortex and elicit muscle contractions. Cortico-muscular coupling (CMC) can serve as a tool to identify interaction between the oscillatory activity of the motor cortex and effector muscle. This research aims to explore the neuromodulatory effect of low-intensity, pTUS with different number of tone burst to neural circuit of motor-control system by analyzing the coupling relationship between motor cortex and tail muscle in mouse. The motor cortex of mice was stimulated by pulsed transcranial ultrasound with different number of tone bursts (NTB?=?100 150 200 250 300). The local field potentials (LFPs) in tail motor cortex and electromyography (EMG) in tail muscles were recorded simultaneously during pTUS. The change of integral coupling strength between cortex and muscle was evaluated by mutual information (MI). The directional information interaction between them were analyzed by transfer entropy (TE).

Results

Almost all of the MI and TE values were significantly increased by pTUS. The results of MI showed that the CMC was significantly enhanced with the increase of NTB. The TE results showed the coupling strength of CMC in descending direction (from LFPs to EMG) was significantly higher than that in ascending direction (from EMG to LFPs) after stimulation. Furthermore, compared to NTB?=?100, the CMC in ascending direction were significantly enhanced when NTB?=?250, 300, and CMC in descending direction were significantly enhanced when NTB?=?200, 250, 300.

Conclusion

These results confirm that the CMC between motor cortex and the tail muscles in mouse could be altered by pTUS. And by increasing the NTB (i.e. sonication duration), the coupling strength within the cortico-muscular circuit could be increased, which might further influence the motor function of mice. It demonstrates that, using MI and TE method, the CMC could be used for quantitatively evaluating the effect of pTUS with different NTBs, which might provide a new insight into the effect of pTUS neuromodulation in motor cortex.

The features of the Bragg diffraction of Gaussian light beams at ultrasound waves in gyrotropic crystals were investigated. The dependence of the diffraction efficiency on the intensity of an ultrasound beam, the cross-section radius of a light beam, and their divergence ratio was found. An asymptotic expression for the transverse distribution of a diffracted beam was derived. The crystal gyrotropy has been found to affect significantly the change in the amplitude profile of the diffracted light at ultrasound frequencies of f ∼ 102–103 MHz. The maximum diffraction efficiency in the gyrotropic medium is shown to be reached at a certain ratio between the divergences, ultrasound intensity, and specific gyration of the crystal. Some results of AC loss measurements are presented for 19, 61, 127-filamentary Bi-2223/Ag tapes prepared by the ‘powder-in-tube' method. All measurements have been made at T=77 K under sinusoidal transport current with frequency in the range of 30–600 Hz and the current amplitude up to 30 A. The measurements have been carried out both in self field conditions and at the external magnetic field applied to the tape at the different angles. The dependencies of the AC losses on current amplitude and frequency have been obtained. It is found that for all tapes the current amplitude dependencies of the AC losses show good agreement with the Norris prediction for an elliptical or strip geometry. The AC loss dependencies on frequency were linear. The measurements of AC losses in external magnetic field show that the change of AC losses is only through the change of the critical current. So the transport AC losses in the tapes are the ‘saturation losses' that is they are different from classic hysteresis losses.  相似文献

Most of the factors limiting the extensive application of laser-based ultrasonic for nondestructive evaluation of surface breaking crack are its poor sensitivity, low efficiency relative to conventional contact ultrasonic methods and limit on the dimension of the cracks. For this reason, a new technique that multiplepulse narrow-band ultrasound generated by laser arrays has been proposed. It is found that crack detection dependent on spectrum of narrow-band ultrasound generated by laser arrays can be operated with low amplitude requirements. In this paper, the narrow-band ultrasound generated by pulse laser arrays interacting with surface breaking cracks has been simulated in detail by the finite element method (FEM) according to the thermoelastic theory. The pulsed array lasers were assumed to be transient heat source, and the surface acoustic wave (SAW) which propagating on the top of the plate was computed based on thermoelastic theory. Then the frequency spectrums of both reflected waves by crack and transmission ones through crack were compared with the direct waves. Results demonstrate that multiple-frequency components of the narrow-band ultrasound were varied with change of the depth of surface breaking cracks significantly, which provides the possibility for precise evaluation of surface breaking cracks.  相似文献

The effect of ultrasound at various energy levels on the conduction properties of neural tissue is explored in this in vitro study. Excised sciatic nerves from the bullfrog were used for experiments. The nerves were stimulated by 3.5 MHz continuous wave ultrasound at 1, 2, and 3 W for 5 min. The peak-to-peak amplitude of the electrically evoked compound action potential (CAP) and the conduction velocity (CV) were measured in the nerves before and during ultrasound stimulation. The CV of the nerves increased by 5-20% for ultrasound stimulations at 1-3 W. The CAP amplitude increased by 8% during stimulation with 1 W ultrasound, and progressively decreased for 2 and 3 W ultrasound. This indicates that the effect of lower energy ultrasound increases both the CV and the CAP amplitude and that the reduction in the CAP amplitude for higher energy ultrasound is associated largely with ultrasonic thermal effects.  相似文献

本文基于流体动力学控制方程和VOF模型,在FLUENT 14.5软件环境下对超声空化泡进行数值模拟。首先研究了超声空化泡一个周期内的形态变化,并且利用空化泡形态变化的最大面积、最小面积、膨胀时间、收缩时间等数值结果分析超声参数对空化效果的影响。同时探究了双频超声作用下空化泡运动的变化,计算结果表明:在其他条件相同的情况下,在1~5MPa范围内,超声声压幅值为3MPa时空化效果最好;当超声频率大于20kHz时,空化效果随着超声频率的增大而降低。对于频率相同的双频超声,较声压幅值为其两倍的单频超声有更好的空化效果;对于频率不同的双频超声,空化效果受到频率差的影响。  相似文献

In this study, we investigated the effects of power ultrasound (26 kHz, up to ∼75 W/cm2, up to 100% acoustic amplitude, ultrasonic horn) on the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) on a platinum (Pt) polycrystalline disc electrode in 0.5 M H2SO4 by cyclic and linear sweep voltammetry at 298 K. We also studied the formation of molecular hydrogen (H2) bubbles on a Pt wire in the absence and presence of power ultrasound using ultra-fast camera imaging. It was found that ultrasound significantly increases currents towards the HER i.e. a ∼250% increase in current density was achieved at maximum ultrasonic power. The potential at a current density of −10 mA/cm2 under silent conditions was found to be −46 mV and decreased to −27 mV at 100% acoustic amplitude i.e. a ΔE shift of ∼+20 mV, indicating the influence of ultrasound on improving the HER activity. A nearly 100% increase in the exchange current density (jo) and a 30% decrease in the Tafel slope (b) at maximum ultrasonic power, was observed in the low overpotential region, although in the high overpotential region, the Tafel slopes (b) were not significantly affected when compared to silent conditions. In our conditions, ultrasound did not greatly affect the “real” surface area (Ar) and roughness factor (R) i.e. the microscopic surface area available for electron transfer. Overall, it was found that ultrasound did not dramatically change the mechanism of HER but instead, increased currents at the Pt surface area through effective hydrogen bubble removal.  相似文献

Proton Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy was carried out at 1.5 T on a patient with histologically proven Pott's spine affecting D11 vertebral body. In addition to the significantly reduced signals from the lipids in the region between 1 and 2 ppm, a prominent resonance at 5.1 ppm is seen. The spectrum is very different from that recorded on the one hand for a normal spine and, on the other, for a tumor arising from the vertebral body of a patient.  相似文献

This study challenges existing interpretations of the effects of ultrasound on fetal development. The results demonstrated that a lower mean fetal weight in mice observed after intrauterine exposure to 2 MHz ultrasound resulted from maternal distress, and was not simply a direct effect of ultrasound interaction with the fetuses. At day 8 of gestation continuous wave ultrasound was applied to different regions of the maternal abdomen at spatial average intensities between 0.5 and 5.5 W cm-2 for 3 min. Insonating the uterus directly resulted in resorptions, abortions and gross developmental abnormalities, with rare instances of fetal weight reduction which were apparently associated with maternal distended bladder syndrome (DBS). When the ultrasound beam deliberately avoided the uterus, by a dorsal approach centred on the vertebral column, mean fetal weight at day 18 was significantly lower in all mothers showing DBS. Fetuses of insonated mothers not affected by DBS were not significantly different from the sham-insonated group whether the uterus was directly exposed or not. The fetal weight reduction endpoint was therefore found to be more closely correlated with maternal damage (DBS) than with ultrasound intensity.  相似文献

An ultrasound assisted method was investigated to extract bioactive compounds from propolis. This method was based on a simple ultrasound treatment using ethanol as an extraction medium to facilitate the disruption of the propolis cells. Four different variables were chosen for determining the influence on the extraction efficiency: ultrasonic amplitude, ethanol concentration, temperature and time; the variables were selected by Box-Behnken design experiments. These parameters were optimised in order to obtain the highest yield, and the results exhibited the optimum conditions for achieving the goal as 100% amplitude of ultrasonic treatment, 70% solvent concentration, 58 °C and 30 min. The extraction yield under modified optimum extraction conditions was, as follows: 459.92 mg GAE/g of TPC, 220.62 mg QE/g of TFC and 1.95% of balsam content. The results showed that the ultrasound assisted extraction was suitable for bioactive compounds extraction from propolis. The most abundant phenolic compound was kaempferol (228.8 mg/g propolis) followed by myricetin (115.5 mg/g propolis), luteolin (27.2 mg/g propolis) and quercetin (25.2 mg/g propolis).  相似文献

The problem is solved using Ambartsumian’s layer addition modified method. The results of studying the dependences of the amplitude and polarization characteristics on the light wavelength for different values of the problem parameters are presented.
