In this paper the W-algebra W(2, 2) and its representation theory are studied. It is proved that a simple vertex operator algebra generated by two weight 2 vectors is either a vertex operator algebra associated to an irreducible highest weight W(2, 2)- module or a tensor product of two simple Virasoro vertex operator algebras. Furthermore, we show that any rational, C 2-cofinite and simple vertex operator algebra whose weight 1 subspace is zero, weight 2 subspace is 2-dimensional and with central charge c = 1 is isomorphic to . This is a sequel to [Li4] and [Li5] in a series to study vertex algebra-like structures arising from various algebras such as quantum affine algebras and Yangians. In this paper, we study two versions of the double Yangian , denoted by DY q (sl 2) and with q a nonzero complex number. For each nonzero complex number q, we construct a quantum vertex algebra V q and prove that every DY q (sl 2)-module is naturally a V q -module. We also show that -modules are what we call V q -modules-at-infinity. To achieve this goal, we study what we call -local subsets and quasi-local subsets of for any vector space W, and we prove that any -local subset generates a (weak) quantum vertex algebra and that any quasi-local subset generates a vertex algebra with W as a (left) quasi module-at-infinity. Using this result we associate the Lie algebra of pseudo-differential operators on the circle with vertex algebras in terms of quasi modules-at-infinity.  相似文献

In this paper we investigate the dynamics of relativistic (in particular, closed) strings moving in the Minkowski space . We first derive a system with n nonlinear wave equations of Born-Infeld type which governs the motion of the string. This system can also be used to describe the extremal surfaces in . We then show that this system enjoys some interesting geometric properties. Based on this, we give a sufficient and necessary condition for the global existence of extremal surfaces without space-like point in with given initial data. This result corresponds to the global propagation of nonlinear waves for the system describing the motion of the string in . We also present an explicit exact representation of the general solution for such a system. Moreover, a great deal of numerical analyses are investigated, and the numerical results show that, in phase space, various topological singularities develop in finite time in the motion of the string. Finally, some important discussions related to the theory of extremal surfaces of mixed type in are given.  相似文献

We describe an infinite-dimensional algebra of hidden symmetries of supersymmetric Yang-Mills (SYM) theory. Our derivation is based on a generalization of the supertwistor correspondence. Using the latter, we construct an infinite sequence of flows on the solution space of the SYM equations. The dependence of the SYM fields on the parameters along the flows can be recovered by solving the equations of the hierarchy. We embed the SYM equations in the infinite system of the hierarchy equations and show that this SYM hierarchy is associated with an infinite set of graded symmetries recursively generated from supertranslations. Presumably, the existence of such nonlocal symmetries underlies the observed integrable structures in quantum SYM theory. We use the technique of Harish-Chandra bimodules to prove that regular strongly typical blocks of the category for the queer Lie superalgebra are equivalent to the corresponding blocks of the category for the Lie algebra .  相似文献

We develop a technique for the construction of integrable models with a 2 grading of both the auxiliary (chain) and quantum (time) spaces. These models have a staggered disposition of the anisotropy parameter. The corresponding Yang–Baxter equations are written down and their solution for the gl(N) case is found. We analyze in details the N = 2 case and find the corresponding quantum group behind this solution. It can be regarded as the quantum group , with a matrix deformation parameter q such that (q )2 = q 2. The symmetry behind these models can also be interpreted as the tensor product of the (–1)-Weyl algebra by an extension of q (gl(N)) with a Cartan generator related to deformation parameter –1.  相似文献

Jonathan Brundan and Alexander Kleshchev recently introduced a new family of presentations for the Yangian Y of the general linear Lie algebra . In this article, we extend some of their ideas to consider the Yangian Y of the Lie superalgebra . In particular, we give a new proof of the result by Nazarov that the quantum Berezinian is central. We compute the first cohomology spaces of the Lie superalgebra with coefficients in the superspace of linear differential operators acting on weighted densities on the supercircle S 1|1. The structure of these spaces was conjectured in (Gargoubi et al. in Lett Math Phys 79:5165, 2007). In fact, we prove here that the situation is a little bit more complicated.   相似文献

For the Lie algebra N we introduce a system of differential operators called the dynamical operators. We prove that the dynamical differential operators commute with the N rational quantized Knizhnik–Zamolodchikov difference operators. We describe the transformations of the dynamical operators under the natural action of the N Weyl group.Mathematics Subject Classifications (2000). 17B37, 17B80, 81R10.  相似文献

The relation between the set of transformations of the quantum plane and the quantum universal enveloping algebra U q (u(2)) is investigated by constructing representations of the factor algebra U q (u(2))* . The noncommuting coordinates of , on which U q (2) * U q (2) acts, are realized as q-spinors with respect to each U q (u(2)) algebra. The representation matrices of U q (2) are constructed as polynomials in these spinor components. This construction allows a derivation of the commutation relations of the noncommuting coordinates of directly from properties of U q (u(2)). The generalization of these results to U q (u(n)) and is also discussed.  相似文献

We describe a Gauss decomposition for the Yangian of the general linear Lie superalgebra. This gives a connection between this Yangian and the Yangian of the classical Lie superalgebra Y(A(m − 1, n − 1)) (for mn) defined and studied in papers by Stukopin, and suggests natural definitions for the Yangians and Y(A(n, n)). We also show that the coefficients of the quantum Berezinian generate the centre of the Yangian . This was conjectured by Nazarov in 1991.  相似文献

For the critical XXZ model, we consider the space of operators which are products of local operators with a disorder operator. We introduce two anti-commutative families of operators which act on . These operators are constructed as traces over representations of the q-oscillator algebra, in close analogy with Baxter’s Q-operators. We show that the vacuum expectation values of operators in can be expressed in terms of an exponential of a quadratic form of . We introduce C-Algebras of compact Riemann surfaces as non-commutative analogues of the Poisson algebra of smooth functions on . Representations of these algebras give rise to sequences of matrix-algebras for which matrix-commutators converge to Poisson-brackets as N → ∞. For a particular class of surfaces, interpolating between spheres and tori, we completely characterize (even for the intermediate singular surface) all finite dimensional representations of the corresponding C-algebras.  相似文献

We introduce a notion of full field algebra which is essentially an algebraic formulation of the notion of genus-zero full conformal field theory. For any vertex operator algebras V L and V R , is naturally a full field algebra and we introduce a notion of full field algebra over . We study the structure of full field algebras over using modules and intertwining operators for V L and V R . For a simple vertex operator algebra V satisfying certain natural finiteness and reductivity conditions needed for the Verlinde conjecture to hold, we construct a bilinear form on the space of intertwining operators for V and prove the nondegeneracy and other basic properties of this form. The proof of the nondegenracy of the bilinear form depends not only on the theory of intertwining operator algebras but also on the modular invariance for intertwining operator algebras through the use of the results obtained in the proof of the Verlinde conjecture by the first author. Using this nondegenerate bilinear form, we construct a full field algebra over and an invariant bilinear form on this algebra.  相似文献

We consider finite-range asymmetric exclusion processes on with non-zero drift. The diffusivity D(t) is expected to be of . We prove that D(t) ≥ Ct 1/3 in the weak (Tauberian) sense that as . The proof employs the resolvent method to make a direct comparison with the totally asymmetric simple exclusion process, for which the result is a consequence of the scaling limit for the two-point function recently obtained by Ferrari and Spohn. In the nearest neighbor case, we show further that tD(t) is monotone, and hence we can conclude that D(t) ≥ Ct 1/3(log t)−7/3 in the usual sense. Given a one dimensional perturbed Schrödinger operator H =  ? d 2/dx 2 + V(x), we consider the associated wave operators W  ± , defined as the strong L 2 limits $\lim_{s\to\pm\infty}e^{isH}e^{-isH_{0}}Given a one dimensional perturbed Schr?dinger operator H = − d 2/dx 2 + V(x), we consider the associated wave operators W ± , defined as the strong L 2 limits . We prove that W ± are bounded operators on L p for all 1 < p < ∞, provided , or else and 0 is not a resonance. For p = ∞ we obtain an estimate in terms of the Hilbert transform. Some applications to dispersive estimates for equations with variable rough coefficients are given.  相似文献

Given a simple, simply laced, complex Lie algebra corresponding to the Lie group G, let be thesubalgebra generated by the positive roots. In this Letter we construct aBV algebra whose underlying graded commutative algebra is given by the cohomology, with respect to , of the algebra of regular functions on G with values in . We conjecture that describes the algebra of allphysical (i.e., BRST invariant) operators of the noncritical string. The conjecture is verified in the two explicitly known cases, 2 (the Virasoro string) and 3 (the string).  相似文献
