A method to transfer secret information using chaotic dynamical systems is proposed. It is based on modulating a chaotic system with the message such that its time evolution contains the hidden information. Decryption of the cipher is achieved by chaos control. Operation of the scheme is demonstrated by en- and decoding a short german text.  相似文献

We suggest and experimentally demonstrate a chaotic memory resistor (memristor). The core of our approach is to use a resistive system whose equations of motion for its internal state variables are similar to those describing a particle in a multi-well potential. Using a memristor emulator, the chaotic memristor is realized and its chaotic properties are measured. A Poincaré plot showing chaos is presented for a simple nonautonomous circuit involving only a voltage source directly connected in series to a memristor and a standard resistor. We also explore theoretically some details of this system, plotting the attractor and calculating Lyapunov exponents. The multi-well potential used resembles that of many nanoscale memristive devices, suggesting the possibility of chaotic dynamics in other existing memristive systems.  相似文献

The spectra of quantized chaotic billiards from the point of view of scattering theory are discussed. It is shown how the spectral and resonance density functions both fluctuate about a common mean. A semiclassical treatment explains this in terms of classical scattering trajectories and periodic orbits of the Poincare scattering map. It is shown that this formalism provides an alternative derivation and a new interpretation of Gutzwiller's periodic orbits sum for the spectral density. Moreover, it is a convenient starting point for a derivation of a Riemann-Siegel "look alike" expression for the secular equation in terms of periodic orbits of finite length.  相似文献

We consider a homogeneously broadened, two-mode laser under conditions of rapid relaxation of off-diagonal density-matrix elements. Treating as an example the case of two transverse modes, we show that a spatially inhomogeneous pumping rate in such a laser can give rise to chaotic emission.  相似文献

Several models for convective mixing of coarse, freely flowing in granular tumblers have been proposed over the past decade. Powders of practical interest, by contrast, are frequently fine and cohesive, and cannot be analyzed with these models. Moreover, even in the freely flowing regime, mixing transverse to the dominant, convective, direction is typically slow and inefficient. In this paper, we examine two chaotic mixing mechanisms, the first of which can be intentionally applied to increase transverse mixing rates severalfold, with new prospects for further improvements in three-dimensional mixing through judicious process design. The second mechanism occurs spontaneously in fine grains, resulting in mixing rates overwhelmingly exceeding what would be possible in freely flowing grains. Finally, we show that the same chaotic mixing mechanisms seen in simple drum mixers are also found to be at work in more complex blender configurations widely used in batch industrial operations. The statistical properties of random analytic functions (z) are investigated as a phase-space model for eigenfunctions of fully chaotic systems. We generalize to the plane and to the hyperbolic plane a theorem concerning the equidistribution of the zeros of (z) previously demonstrated for a spherical phase space [SU(2) polynomials]. For systems with time-reversal symmetry, the number of real roots is computed for the three geometries. In the semiclassical regime, the local correlation functions are shown to be universal, independent of the system considered or the geometry of phase space. In particular, the autocorrelation function of is given by a Gaussian function. The connections between this model and the Gaussian random function hypothesis as well as the random matrix theory are discussed.  相似文献

在混沌通信系统中,混沌载波的时延特征直接影响着通信系统的安全性,因此隐藏混沌载波的时延特征信息十分重要。本文基于外腔反馈式半导体激光器(ECSL)的单光注入结构,引入激光器参数失配,详细阐述了一种通过主从激光器参数失配来消除混沌信号时延特征的方法。利用自相关函数作为量化工具,对混沌信号的时延隐藏效果进行量化分析,数值研究了主从激光器间的参数失配对混沌信号时延消除的影响,并结合注入强度与频率失谐开展了进一步综合研究。研究结果表明:引入激光器参数失配对时延隐藏的效果影响显著,参数失配率在-0.4~0范围时有助于在从激光器混沌输出中隐藏主激光器外腔引入的反馈时延;而且,当主激光器注入强度在10ns-1~20ns-1范围内,主从激光器频率失谐控制在-20GHz附近时,信号时延隐藏效果最佳。因此,由此单混沌光注入系统产生的混沌信号可显著提高混沌载波的安全性,进而增强其潜在应用的性能。  相似文献

We extend the constant-variation method to the case of partial differential equations. Applying the method to periodically perturbed Sine-Gordon system, we find some novel solitons, which are embedded in a chaotic attractor and possess controllable velocity of motion. Taking periodically driven long Josephson junction as an example the corresponding chaotic region in parameter space and chaotic orbit are obtained analytically and numerically. A method of developing chaotically synchronized systems when the structure of the system that generates the driving signal is unknown is proposed in this paper. This method is based on the approximation of the driving system structure by neural networks incorporated in the response system. This makes the method different from those proposed previously, which are based on the analysis of the presumedly known equations of motion of the driving system. Recent experimental and theoretical studies on the magnetization dynamics driven by an electric current have uncovered a number of unprecedented rich dynamic phenomena. We predict an intrinsic chaotic dynamics that has not been previously anticipated. We explicitly show that the transition to chaotic dynamics occurs through a series of period doubling bifurcations. In chaotic regime, two dramatically different power spectra, one with a well-defined peak and the other with a broadly distributed noise, are identified and explained.  相似文献

We analyze and recover, by means of spatial intensity correlations, the image obtained by a seeded frequency-downconversion process in which the seed field is chaotic and an intensity modulation is encoded in the pump field. Although the field generated is as chaotic as the seed field and does not carry any information about the modulation of the pump, one can extract an image of the pump by measuring the spatial intensity correlations between the generated field and one Fourier component of the seed.  相似文献
