We construct various novel exact solutions of two coupled dynamical nonlinear Schrōdinger equations. Based on the similarity transformation, we reduce the coupled nonlinear Schrōdinger equations with time-and space-dependent potentials, nonlinearities, and gain or loss to the coupled dynamical nonlinear Schrrdinger equations. Some special types of non-travelling wave solutions, such as periodic, resonant, and quasiperiodically oscillating solitons, are used to exhibit the wave propagations by choosing some arbitrary functions. Our results show that the number of the localized wave of one component is always twice that of the other one. In addition, the stability analysis of the solutions is discussed numerically.  相似文献

A qualitative analysis method to efficiently solve the shallow wave equations is improved, so that a more complicated nonlinear Schrdinger equation can be considered. By using the detailed study, some quite strange optical solitary waves are obtained in which the bright and dark optical solitary waves are allowed to coexist.  相似文献

With the help of the similarity transformation connected the variable-coefficient (3+1)-dimensional nonlinear Schrdinger equation with the standard nonlinear Schrdinger equation, we firstly obtain first-order and second-order rogue wave solutions. Then, we investigate the controllable behaviors of these rogue waves in the hyperbolic dispersion decreasing profile. Our results indicate that the integral relation between the accumulated time T and the real time t is the basis to realize the control and manipulation of propagation behaviors of rogue waves, such as sustainment and restraint. We can modulate the value T 0 to achieve the sustained and restrained spatiotemporal rogue waves. Moreover, the controllability for position of sustainment and restraint for spatiotemporal rogue waves can also be realized by setting different values of X 0 .  相似文献

We propose a unified theory to construct exact rogue wave solutions of the (2+1)-dimensional nonlinear Schrdinger equation with varying coefficients. And then the dynamics of the first- and the second-order optical rogues are investigated. Finally, the controllability of the optical rogue propagating in inhomogeneous nonlinear waveguides is discussed. By properly choosing the distributed coefficients, we demonstrate analytically that rogue waves can be restrained or even be annihilated, or emerge periodically and sustain forever. We also figure out the center-of-mass motion of the rogue waves.  相似文献

In this paper, the trial function method is extended to study the generalized nonlinear Schrdinger equation with timedependent coefficients. On the basis of a generalized traveling wave transformation and a trial function,we investigate the exact envelope traveling wave solutions of the generalized nonlinear Schrdinger equation with time-dependent coefficients.Taking advantage of solutions to trial function,we successfully obtain exact solutions for the generalized nonlinear Schrdinger equation with time-dependent coefficients under constraint conditions.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose a variational integrator for nonlinear Schrdinger equations with variable coefficients. It is shown that our variational integrator is naturally multi-symplectic. The discrete multi-symplectic structure of the integrator is presented by a multi-symplectic form formula that can be derived from the discrete Lagrangian boundary function. As two examples of nonlinear Schrdinger equations with variable coefficients, cubic nonlinear Schrdinger equations and Gross–Pitaevskii equations are extensively studied by the proposed integrator. Our numerical simulations demonstrate that the integrator is capable of preserving the mass, momentum, and energy conservation during time evolutions. Convergence tests are presented to verify that our integrator has second-order accuracy both in time and space.  相似文献

In this work,we present the direct discontinuous Galerkin(DDG) method for the one-dimensional coupled nonlinear Schrdinger(CNLS) equation. We prove that the new discontinuous Galerkin method preserves the discrete mass conservations corresponding to the properties of the CNLS system. The ordinary differential equations obtained by the DDG space discretization is solved via a third-order stabilized Runge-Kutta method.Numerical experiments show that the new DDG scheme gives stable and less diffusive results and has excellent long-time numerical behaviors for the CNLS equations.  相似文献

The basic set of fluid equations can be reduced to the nonlinear Kortewege-de Vries(KdV)and nonlinear Schro¨dinger(NLS)equations. The rational solutions for the two equations has been obtained. The exact amplitude of the nonlinear ion-acoustic solitary wave can be obtained directly without resorting to any successive approximation techniques by a direct analysis of the given field equations. The Sagdeev’s potential is obtained in terms of ion acoustic velocity by simply solving an algebraic equation. The soliton and double layer solutions are obtained as a small amplitude approximation.A comparison between the exact soliton solution and that obtained from the reductive perturbation theory are also discussed.  相似文献

Analytical solutions in terms of rational-like functions are presented for a(3+1)-dimensional nonlinear Schrdinger equation with time-varying coefficients and a harmonica potential using the similarity transformation and a direct ansatz.Several free functions of time t are involved to generate abundant wave structures.Three types of elementary functions are chosen to exhibit the corresponding nonlinear rogue wave propagations.  相似文献

In this paper,by means of similarity transfomations,we obtain explicit solutions to the cubic-quintic nonlinear Schrdinger equation with varying coefficients, which involve four free functions of space.Four types of free functions are chosen to exhibit the corresponding nonlinear wave propagations.  相似文献

We construct analytical self-similar solutions for the generalized (3+1)-dimensional nonlinear Schrdinger equation with polynomial nonlinearity of arbitrary order. As an example, we list self-similar solutions of quintic nonlinear Schrdinger equation with distributed dispersion and distributed linear gain, including bright similariton solution, fractional and combined Jacobian elliptic function solutions. Moreover, we discuss self-similar evolutional dynamic behaviors of these solutions in the dispersion decreasing fiber and the periodic distributed amplification system.  相似文献

We use the 1-fold Darboux transformation (DT) of an inhomogeneous nonlinear Schro¨dinger equation (INLSE) to construct the deformed-soliton, breather, and rogue wave solutions explicitly. Furthermore, the obtained first-order deformed rogue wave solution, which is derived from the deformed breather solution through the Taylor expansion, is different from the known rogue wave solution of the nonlinear Schro¨dinger equation (NLSE). The effect of inhomogeneity is fully reflected in the variable height of the deformed soliton and the curved background of the deformed breather and rogue wave. By suitably adjusting the physical parameter, we show that a desired shape of the rogue wave can be generated. In particular, the newly constructed rogue wave can be reduced to the corresponding rogue wave of the nonlinear Schro¨dinger equation under a suitable parametric condition.  相似文献

Novel explicit rogue wave solutions of the coupled Hirota equations are obtained by using the Darboux transformation. In contrast to the fundamental Peregrine solitons and dark rogue waves, we present an interesting rogue-wave pair that involves four zero-amplitude holes for the coupled Hirota equations. It is significant that the corresponding expressions of the rogue-wave pair solutions contain polynomials of the fourth order rather than the second order. Moreover, dark-brightrogue wave solutions of the coupled Hirota equations are given, and interactions between Peregrine solitons and dark-bright solitons are analyzed. The results further reveal the dynamical properties of rogue waves for the coupled Hirota equations.  相似文献

In birefringent optical fibers, the propagation of femtosecond soliton pulses is described by coupled higherorder nonlinear Schrdinger equations. In this paper, we will investigate the bright and dark soliton solutions of(2+1)-dimensional coupled higher-order nonlinear Schrdinger equations, with the aid of symbolic computation and the Hirota method. On the basis of soliton solutions, we test and discuss the interactions graphically between the solitons in the x-z, x-t, and z-t planes.  相似文献

The relationship between symmetries and Gauss kernels for the Schrdinger equation iut=uxx+f(x)u is established. It is shown that if the Lie point symmetries of the equation are nontrivial,a classical integral transformations of the Gauss kernels can be obtained. Then the Gauss kernels of Schrdinger equations are derived by inverting the integral transformations.Furthermore, the relationship between Gauss kernels for two equations related by an equivalence transformation is identified.  相似文献

<正>We propose a multi-symplectic wavelet splitting method to solve the strongly coupled nonlinear Schrodinger equations.Based on its multi-symplectic formulation, the strongly coupled nonlinear Schr(o|¨)dinger equations can be split into one linear multi-symplectic subsystem and one nonlinear infinite-dimensional Hamiltonian subsystem. For the linear subsystem, the multi-symplectic wavelet collocation method and the symplectic Buler method are employed in spatial and temporal discretization, respectively. For the nonlinear subsystem, the mid-point symplectic scheme is used.Numerical simulations show the effectiveness of the proposed method during long-time numerical calculation.  相似文献

We derive a new method for a coupled nonlinear Schrdinger system by using the square of first-order Fourier spectral differentiation matrix D1 instead of traditional second-order Fourier spectral differentiation matrix D2 to approximate the second derivative. We prove the proposed method preserves the charge and energy conservation laws exactly. In numerical tests,we display the accuracy of numerical solution and the role of the nonlinear coupling parameter in cases of soliton collisions.Numerical experiments also exhibit the excellent performance of the method in preserving the charge and energy conservation laws. These numerical results verify that the proposed method is both a charge-preserving and an energy-preserving algorithm.  相似文献

A direct self-similarity mapping approach is successfully applied to a generalized nonlinear Schrdinger (NLS) system. Based on the known exact solutions of a self-similarity mapping equation, a few types of significant localized excitation with novel properties are obtained by selecting appropriate system parameters. The integrable constraint condition for the generalized NLS system derived naturally here is consistent with the known compatibility condition generated via Painlev analysis.  相似文献

A class of analytical solitary-wave solutions to the generalized nonautonomous cubic-quintic nonlinear Schrdinger equation with time- and space-modulated coefficients and potentials are constructed using the similarity transformation technique. Constraints for the dispersion coefficient, the cubic and quintic nonlinearities, the external potential, and the gain (loss) coefficient are presented at the same time. Various shapes of analytical solitary-wave solutions which have important applications of physical interest are studied in detail, such as the solutions in Feshbach resonance management with harmonic potentials, Faraday-type waves in the optical lattice potentials, and localized solutions supported by the Gaussian-shaped nonlinearity. The stability analysis of the solutions is discussed numerically.  相似文献
