提出了一种二维光子晶体偏振分光镜的设计方法,介绍了光栅基板上用Ge/BaF2 多层膜实现二维光子晶体偏振分光镜的优化设计.结果表明,TE模式的光子禁带宽度为0083(2πc/a, a是光栅的周期),设计的偏振波长从172μm到24μm,相对带宽为331%.此光子晶体偏振器件制作简单,具有实用性. 关键词: 偏振分光镜 光子晶体 光子禁带  相似文献

为了研究光子晶体中的负折射行为,我们应用2维TM模时域有限差分方法,数值模拟了高斯波束从自由空间垂直入射和斜入射到二维三角晶格光子晶体平板后的折射现象,并给出了平板内外的电场强度分布.模拟结果显示:垂直入射时,光子晶体平板对高斯波束具有汇聚作用,汇聚特性随着波源到晶体的距离的改变而发生显著的变化;斜入射时,折射波束与入射波束也均在法线的同一侧.结果证明了高斯波束在光子晶体和空气的交界面发生了负折射.模拟结果有望在制作聚焦透镜、带通滤波器、耦合器等光子晶体器件方面得到重要应用.  相似文献

设计了一种基于二维光子晶体的偏振滤波分束器.利用平面波展开法计算光子晶体带隙,确定入射光波1 550nm下获得单偏振光的微结构参数,利用时域有限差分法对90°弯折缓冲层和分支冲击壁进行优化.分束器实质为在二维光子晶体阵列中引入缺陷而构成的波导,利用光子带隙效应和线缺陷90°偏转将入射光中的TM偏振分量(或TE偏振)完全过滤,得到单偏振光,最后通过Y型分支实现1∶1的单偏振光分光输出.仿真结果表明总输出/输入功率比达到68%.  相似文献

将时域有限差分方法用于光子晶体传输特性理论研究,分别计算了二维方型光子晶体TM模和TE模的透射率频率分布;根据光子晶体的标度不变性特征,在微波频段制作了光子晶体,并设计了实验装置;实验结果与计算结果一致表明:对于一定的入射方向,某些频率的光不能在光子晶体中传播。  相似文献

通过在二维三角晶格中引入三个完全相同的介质圆柱构成了一种全新结构的光子晶体,并对其光子能带进行了频域计算.借助数值方法分析了填充率对光子能带的影响,结果表明,在一定填充率下,这种二维光子晶体对于E偏振和H偏振都存在很宽的带隙,而且还可以获得一个窄完全带隙.  相似文献

利用二维光子晶体的等频线分析原理和平面波展开方法,得到了使二维光子晶体产生全入射角负折射(All-Angle Negative Refraction,AANR)现象时,入射电磁波的频率取值范围.同时,分析了AANR频率范围随着结构参量(晶格类型、介质棒半径与晶格周期的比值)和电磁参量(介质柱介电常量、本底介电常量、入射电磁波偏振方向)变化的行为.结果表明:固定组成光子晶体的一种介质的介电常量,另一介质的介电常量只有达到一定阈值,才有可能使光子晶体出现AANR现象.在给定两种介质介电常量的条件下,存在使AANR频率范围最大化的结构参量和电磁参量.  相似文献

 为了研究1维光子晶体中光的全反射贯穿效应及其偏振滤波特性,利用传输矩阵法计算了TE波和TM波在大于全反射角入射1维光子晶体的透射率,发现在透射波中出现了全反射贯穿效应。研究了TE波和TM波的全反射贯穿效应随介质光学厚度和周期数的变化特征,表明:全反射贯穿峰的频率随介质光学厚度的增加而减少,全反射贯穿峰数与周期数相等。且全反射贯穿效应具有优良的偏振滤波特性,利用这些特性可以设计出结构简单、控制方便的1维光子晶体的偏振滤波器。  相似文献

结合光子晶体带隙图和等频率线图分析了二维光子晶体中出现负折射现象的条件,得出了负折射现象出现的频率范围.采用有限时域差分法模拟了光在光子晶体界面和内部的传输行为,验证了以上理论所给出的负折射出现的频段,观察到了明显的负折射现象.比较了不同介质、不同晶格结构光子晶体中不同频率的负折射行为.提出一种新结构的六角型二维三角晶格光子晶体分光镜的模型.  相似文献

用平面波展开法对二维光子晶体的电磁波理论及周期排列的电介质中电磁波的Bloch波解进行了详细的推导,计算出以GaAs为背景的空气柱构成的二维三角格子光子晶体的能带结构,研究了H偏振和E偏振带隙宽度随填充比f的变化.计算结果表明,当f=0.8时,H偏振和E偏振出现重叠的最大绝对光子带隙,带隙位于0.458-0.529ωe(ωe=2πc/a,a为晶格常数,c为光速),带隙宽度为0.071ωe,相应的带隙波长范围为472.6-545.9nm,处于可见光波段.  相似文献

通过对磁场控制下的二维磁光子晶体太赫兹波偏振传输特性的研究,利用铁氧体磁光材料的磁导率随外磁场改变而变化的特点,设计了具有可控起偏、偏振分束和可调谐波片功能的光子晶体太赫兹偏振控制器件.利用平面波展开法和严格耦合波分析分别计算了光子晶体带隙位置和透过率随外磁场强度变化的关系,用时域有限差分法计算了场分布和相位.结果表明,该结构可以实现高偏振消光比的偏振起偏器和分束器,以及在1 THz附近-π-π相位范围的连续可调谐波片. 关键词: 太赫兹 光子晶体 铁氧体 偏振控制  相似文献

By employing the liquid crystal refractive index changes induced by applied electric field, a novel terahertz polarization splitter with tunable the operating frequency and bandwidths has been proposed and theoretically analyzed. It possesses an extinction ratio as high as the polarization splitters based on the two-dimensional photonic crystal waveguides. 提出了一种适用于毫米波及THz波行波放大器的光子晶体栅慢波电路,即横向分布光子晶体栅慢波电路,并提出了分析和设计此类光子晶体栅慢波电路的方法.通过计算光子晶体TE极化的带隙和在带隙内将光子晶体栅慢波电路等效为矩形栅波导慢波电路,从而,光子晶体栅慢波电路的设计得以分为两步独立进行,从而简化了光子晶体栅慢波电路的设计.对横向分布光子晶体栅慢波电路进行了设计和计算,结果表明,与矩形栅波导慢波电路相比,横向分布光子晶体栅慢波电路可以降低工作电压并增加带宽,从而可以降低成本. 关键词: 行波放大器 光子晶体 毫米波 慢波电路  相似文献

研究了具有高双折射的光子晶体光纤(HB PCF)中均匀布拉格光栅(FBG)的光谱特性。利用紧凑的超格子模型,对光子晶体光纤的传输特性进行分析,研究正向传输和反向传输的模式之间的耦合规律,从而研究写入光子晶体光纤中的均匀布拉格光栅的特性。首先给出具有C6v对称性的零双折射光子晶体光纤中光纤布拉格光栅的布拉格波长λB随光纤结构参量的变化规律;然后分析一种高双折射光子晶体光纤中的光纤布拉格光栅的光谱特性,高双折射使两个不同偏振态的反射峰分开较大;最后分析了一种常用的双模双折射光子晶体光纤中光纤布拉格光栅的光谱特性,LP01模和LPe11模的两个偏振态对应的反射谱都由于高双折射而分开。  相似文献

Polarization independent bends and beam splitters for transverse electric (TE) and transverse magnetic (TM) polarizations have been demonstrated in two-dimensional (2D) photonic crystals (PhCs). In virtuel of equi-frequency contour analysis and finite-difference time-domain calculations, self-collimation behaviors for TE- and TM-polarizations are achieved at the same frequency. Simulation results show a 90-degree bend with 90% efficiency and beam splitters with about 96% total efficiency for both TE- and TMpolarizations, where the light is self-guided by the self-collimation effect. Such bends and beam splitters are expected to play important roles in optical devices where polarization insensitivity is needed.  相似文献

Optical limitation in a 2D nonlinear photonic crystal (NPC) has been studied in this Letter. Since the optical limitation is due to Bragg scattering induced by the variation of nonlinear refractive index, it is sure that the optical limitation can be realized in nonlinear photonic crystal. The light propagation characteristics in a two-dimensional nonlinear photonic crystal with triangular lattice has been calculated by using the finite-difference time-domain algorithm, which is constructed by placing certain number of nonlinear dielectric rods in a linear photonic crystal. The optical limiting effects at 1.300 and 0.504 μm have been obviously obtained for TE polarization and TM polarization, respectively.  相似文献

An ultra-broadband polarization splitter based on graphene layer-filled dual-core photonic crystal fiber(GDC-PCF)that can work in a wavelength range from 1120 nm to 1730 nm is proposed in this paper. Through optimizing fiber configuration, the polarization splitter has an extinction ratio of-56.3 dB at 1.55 μm with a fiber length of 4.8 mm.Compared with the photonic crystal fiber reported splitters, to our knowledge, the GDC-PCF splitter with the extinction ratio below-20 dB has a super wide bandwidth of 610 nm. Due to the excellent splitting characteristics, the GDC-PCF will be used in coherent optical communication systems in a wavelength range from infrared to mid-infraed.  相似文献

We demonstrate that the infiltration of individual pores of certain two-dimensional photonic crystals with liquid crystals and (or) polymers provides an efficient platform for the realization of integrated photonic crystal circuitry. As an illustration of this principle, we present designs for monomode photonic crystal wave-guides and certain functional elements, such as waveguide bends, beam splitters, and waveguide intersections. These devices exhibit very low reflection over broad frequency ranges. In addition, we discuss the inherent tunability of these devices that originates in the tunability of the infiltrated material.  相似文献

We propose a structure for ideal 3-dB splitters (1 x 2)-combiners (2 x 1) in photonic crystals. In photonic crystals, ideal 3-dB splitters based on a three-port system are achievable in principle, but it is impossible to achieve ideal 3-dB combiners based on the three-port system because there is no path for a loss, owing to strong confinement of photons. The proposed structure is based on a four-port system in which the concept of a microwave circuit, the so-called rat-race circuit is adopted. Design conditions for two-dimensional photonic-crystal-based rat-race circuits have been investigated by use of the coupled-mode theory in time. With the proposed structure, a 3-dB splitter-combiner has been designed. The performance of the device was numerically calculated by the finite-difference time-domain method.  相似文献
