In this work, we study an entanglement concentration scheme in a 3-mode optomechanical system. The scheme is based on phonon counting measurements, which can be performed through photon counting of an auxiliary cavity connected to the mechanical resonator. The amount of entanglement between the two cavity output modes is found to increase logarithmically with the number of detected phonons(photons). Such an entanglement concentration scheme is deterministic since, independently of the number of detected phonons(photons), the measurement always leads to an increase in output entanglement. Besides numerical simulations,we provide analytical results and physical insight for the improved entanglement and the concentration efficiency.  相似文献

We show that weak measurement can be used to "amplify" optical nonlinearities at the single-photon level, such that the effect of one properly postselected photon on a classical beam may be as large as that of many unpostselected photons. We find that "weak-value amplification" offers a marked improvement in the signal-to-noise ratio in the presence of technical noise with long correlation times. Unlike previous weak-measurement experiments, our proposed scheme has no classical equivalent.  相似文献

For a generalized scheme of LDV, the expressions describing the light intensity distribution in a photo-receiver plane with regard to the size of the scattering particles have been calculated using Fourier optics.The LDV signal should be considered as a narrow-band stochastic process representing the sum of random phase radio frequency pulses arising from each light scattering particle. Then the expected error of the mean velocity measurement is equal to half the reciprocal of the number of interference fringes squared and the input signal-to-noise ratio is equal to the square root of the product of Doppler frequency, fringe number and averaging time.The device developed by the authors includes d.c. optical signal compensation. 基于超导传输线和超导量子比特相互耦合的电路量子电动力学(quantum Electrodynamics, QED)系统, 是目前固态量子信息领域的一个倍受关注的物理系统, 也是研究量子测量和量子控制的理想实验平台. 由于其中涉及的驱动场和超导传输线谐振腔支持的光子频率都在微波区, 在量子测量和量子控制研究中往往遇到 大量光子数引起的状态空间维数过大带来的数值模拟方面的困难. 为了避免这个困难, 往往采取"消除"光子自由度的办法, 建立一个只保留量子比特状态自由度的有效描述方案. 本文通过对单比特的量子测量动力学的数值模拟, 检验了 "绝热消除"和"极化子变换"两种方案的适用条件. 结果表明, 在量子非破坏(quantum non-demolition, QND) 测量情况下, 极化子变换精确适用于 任意驱动强度和任意(光子)泄漏速率微腔; 但在非QND测量情况下, 极化子变换相对通常的绝热消除方案, 并无优势. 在强泄漏微腔和弱耦合情况下, 两种消除光子自由度的方法都可以较好地描述 测量动力学; 但如果微腔光子泄漏速率不是很大或量子比特与微腔耦合较强, 则需要纳入光子自由度做完整模拟, 此时的量子测量属性是一个尚待研究的课题.  相似文献

We propose a protocol to concentrate partially entangled states of photons using entanglement reflector, which consists of a single electron spin confined in a charged quantum dot inside a single-sided microcavity. The outstanding advantage of the proposed scheme is its experimental simplicity and feasibility since it only needs to perform a single local measurement on electronic spins rather than a joint Bell-state measurement on photons. We then extend this scheme to concentrate N-photon Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger state. Finally, we analyze the influence of various imperfections on the scheme.  相似文献

The setting of the measurement number for each block is very important for a block-based compressed sensing system. However, in practical applications, we only have the initial measurement results of the original signal on the sampling side instead of the original signal itself, therefore, we cannot directly allocate the appropriate measurement number for each block without the sparsity of the original signal. To solve this problem, we propose an adaptive block-based compressed video sensing scheme based on saliency detection and side information. According to the Johnson–Lindenstrauss lemma, we can use the initial measurement results to perform saliency detection and then obtain the saliency value for each block. Meanwhile, a side information frame which is an estimate of the current frame is generated on the reconstruction side by the proposed probability fusion model, and the significant coefficient proportion of each block is estimated through the side information frame. Both the saliency value and significant coefficient proportion can reflect the sparsity of the block. Finally, these two estimates of block sparsity are fused, so that we can simultaneously use intra-frame and inter-frame correlation for block sparsity estimation. Then the measurement number of each block can be allocated according to the fusion sparsity. Besides, we propose a global recovery model based on weighting, which can reduce the block effect of reconstructed frames. The experimental results show that, compared with existing schemes, the proposed scheme can achieve a significant improvement in peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) at the same sampling rate.  相似文献

A quantum theory of parametric amplification and frequency conversion of an optical image in coupled nonlinear optical processes that include one parametric amplification process at high-frequency pumping and two up-conversion processes in the same pump field is developed. The field momentum operator that takes into account the diffraction and group velocities of the waves is used to derive the quantum equations related to the spatial dynamics of the images during the interaction. An optical scheme for the amplification and conversion of a close image is considered. The mean photon number density and signal-to-noise ratio are calculated in the fixed-pump-field approximation for images at various frequencies. It has been established that the signal-to-noise ratio decreases with increasing interaction length in the amplified image and increases in the images at the generated frequencies, tending to asymptotic values for all interacting waves. The variance of the difference of the numbers of photons is calculated for various pairs of frequencies. The quantum entanglement of the optical images formed in a high-frequency pump field is shown to be converted to higher frequencies during the generation of sum frequencies. Thus, two pairs of entangled optical images are produced in the process considered.  相似文献

Dispersive quantum nondemolition measurement of the number of photons is analyzed in the micromaser scheme. It has been shown that the stationary Fock state of the field in a cavity that is considered as the result of quantum nondemolition measurement is realized only in a particular case for strictly determined parameters of the system, and small variation in one of the parameters of the system results in a qualitative change in the field state. In the general case, the field state is characterized by large fluctuations of the number of photons and the mean number of photons, which are very sensitive to the parameters of the system. It has been shown that the detection of the Ramsey interference pattern is possible only when the sequence of atoms passing through the cavity is highly monokinetic.  相似文献

A direct detection Doppler wind lidar with the dual Fabry–Perot technique has been built in Hefei, China, and the system is described in this paper. A dual, air-spaced Fabry–Perot etalon is designed as the frequency discriminator and the transmission characteristics are measured with a stabilized cw laser and a pulse laser. The experimental data are found to be in agreement with the designed parameters. The Doppler shift is measured by taking the ratio of the transmitted intensities from the dual etalon. Analysis of the accuracy of Doppler measurement is made by considering the factors of the number of iterations in converting the measured ratio to the Doppler shift, the laser intensity fluctuation and the signal-to-noise ratio. In the sufficient signal-to-noise ratio the velocity accuracy of the Doppler lidar system is estimated to be better than 0.5 m/s.  相似文献

In most of quantum key distribution schemes, real random number generators are required on both sides for preparation and measurement bases choice. In this paper, via entangled photon pairs, we present a side channel passive quantum key distribution scheme, in which random number generator is unneeded on the receiver side. On the sender Alice side, along with massive of signal photons, small amount of uninformative photons are randomly sent to her partner Bob for eavesdropper-presence testing and error estimation. While on the other side channel, without using random number generator Bob do not actively measure the income signals randomly in two non-orthogonal bases. Instead, he just passively register photon click events, in two settled symmetric (i.e.X) bases, and the raw key(click events) is the probable outcomes of a special quantum measurement module constructed by Alice and Bob. Further, security analysis and formulas of security bounds for this scheme is also investigated under reasonable assumptions. Our work shows that the uninformative state employed in this paper is powerful to fight against eavesdropper Eve.  相似文献

New filtering scheme is investigated and implemented on Lau interferometric fringes to enhance the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) in the Lau interferograms. Towards this, the applicability of Haar, Daubechies and Symlet wavelet based filtering schemes have been tested. Of these schemes, the Symlet based filtering scheme gives the best results in terms of improved signal to noise ratio and speckle index. This scheme is then used to analyse Lau interferograms recorded in the experimental arrangement for focal length measurement. The processed interferograms yield improved accuracy and precision of measurement.  相似文献

In this paper, we are presenting measurement of static and dynamic deformations in rectangular plate fixed at one end using digital speckle pattern interferometry (DSPI). To improve the measurement accuracy, we have developed a new filtering scheme based on combination of average/median filtering and Symlet wavelet filtering which enhances the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) in the speckle interferogram obtained from DSPI. Experimental results show that our filtering scheme is quite effective in improving SNR of the speckle interferogram. The measurements by DSPI and calculations from beam theory in the case of out-of-plane static deformation and the measurements by DSPI and accelerometer in the case of dynamic deformation are in good agreement.  相似文献

Multi-photon parametric magnetic resonance in a miniature vapor cell is demonstrated. Much more multi-photon magnetic resonance can be observed when the radio frequency field becomes stronger. The linewidth of the n photons magnetic resonance equals that of the first-order resonance divided by n, which means that the uncertainty of the magnetic sublevel is reduced by the factor n. The signal-to-noise ratio can be improved when the low-frequency multi-photon resonance takes place, which finds a possible application in precision magnetic field measurement.  相似文献

关联成像可提供一种运用常规手段难以获得清晰图像的方法, 能够解决一些常规成像技术不易解决的问题, 是近些年来量子光学领域的前沿和热点之一.本文提出一种基于压缩感知的差分关联成像方案(简称, 差分压缩关联成像方案), 将高斯分布的热光源强度分布作为压缩感知的测量矩阵, 差分物体信息作为被成像物体信息, 利用差分关联成像方案的高成像信噪比和压缩感知技术的低采样次数, 通过正交匹配追踪算法, 高质量地恢复出物体信息. 并以二灰度“双缝”、“NUPT”, 多灰度Lena图和Boats图为例, 数值仿真差分压缩关联成像过程; 同时将本方案350次测量的结果与差分关联成像方案30000次测量的结果进行对比, 研究结果表明针对不同的被成像物体(二灰度“双缝”、“NUPT”, 以及多灰度Lena图和Boats图), 10次成像的均方误差平均值分别降低了97.7%, 93.9%, 92.5%和71.4%; 与压缩鬼成像方案相比, 同样测量次数条件下均方误差值对于二灰度双缝和多灰度Lena图、Boats图等目标物 体分别有50.4%, 72.9%和66.8%的降低. 差分压缩关联成像方案极大地提高了成像信噪比, 降低了成像时间. 关键词: 关联成像 差分 压缩感知 均方误差  相似文献

Detecting the X-ray emission of pulsars and obtaining the photons' time of arrival are the foundational steps in autonomous navigation via X-ray pulsar measurement. The precision of a pulse's time of arrival is mainly determined by the precision of photon arrival time measurement. In this work, a silicon drift detector is used to measure photon energy and arrival time. The measurement system consists of a signal detector, a processing unit, a signal acquisition unit and a data receiving unit. This system acquires the energy resolution and arrival time information of photons. In particular, background noise with different energies disturbs pulse profile forming, the system can also achieve a high signal-to-noise ratio profile. Ground test results show that this system can be applied in autonomous navigation based on X-ray pulsar measurement.  相似文献

We propose a quantum state sharing scheme for continuous variables using bright two-mode squeezed state and single-mode squeezed state light. The squeezing of a single-mode state is applied to enhance the security of information in quantum teleportation network. The signal-to-noise ratio of communication and the fidelity between the secret and reconstruction state are analysed. It is shown that both the receivers of Bob and Charlie cannot extract information with a high signal-to-noise ratio because of the large noise come from the other quadrature component of single mode squeezed state. Anyone of Bob and Charlie can retrieve the quantum state with a high signal-to-noise ratio if and only if the other one cooperates with the measurement.  相似文献

Phosphor materials are used in medical imaging combined with radiographic film or other photodetectors. A parameter for choosing a phosphor material is the number of light photons produced per absorbed X-ray energy E, i.e. phosphor gain. Traditionally, a parameter for choosing the best photodetector for a phosphor material is the spectral matching factor, which denotes the percentage of the optical photons detected by the photodetector. However, this factor does not account for the phosphor gain neither in terms of signal strength nor in terms of noise. In this paper a new factor is introduced which evaluates phosphor-photodetector combinations in terms of optical gain signal-to-noise ratio matching. The proposed factor was implemented to some phosphor-photodetector combinations. It was found that for the narrow band emitting phosphors studied the results of the new factor and the matching factor were numerically the same. However, when not narrow bandwidth emitting phosphors were considered the results were numerically different. Additionally, for the case of CsI:Na phosphor different results were obtained in combinations ranking. PACS 78.65; 42.80  相似文献

The quantity of photons generated during fluorescence microscopy is principally determined by the quantum yield of the fluorescence dyes and the optical power of the excitation beam. However, even though low quantum yields can produce poor images, it is challenging to tune this parameter, while increasing the power of the excitation beam often results in photodamage. Here, we propose the use of stimulated emission (SE) as a means of enhancing both the signal intensity and signal-to-noise ratio during confocal fluorescence microscopy. This work experimentally confirmed that both these factors can be enhanced by SE radiation, through generating a greater number of photons than are associated with the standard fluorescence signal. We also propose the concept of stimulated emission enhancing fluorescence (SEEF) microscopy, which employs both the SE and fluorescence signals, and demonstrate that the intensity of an SEEF signal is greater than those of the individual SE and fluorescence signals.  相似文献
