In this paper we derive an integral formula on an n-dimensional, compact, minimal QR-submanifoldM of (p−1) QR-dimension immersed in a quaternionic projective space QP (n+p)/4. Using this integral formula, we give a sufficient condition concerning with the scalar curvature of M in order that such a submanifold M is to be a tube over a quaternionic projective space.  相似文献

LetV ⊂ ℙℝ n be an algebraic variety, such that its complexificationV ⊂ ℙ n is irreducible of codimensionm ≥ 1. We use a sufficient condition on a linear spaceL ⊂ ℙℝ n of dimensionm + 2r to have a nonempty intersection withV, to show that any six dimensional subspace of 5 × 5 real symmetric matrices contains a nonzero matrix of rank at most 3.  相似文献

We consider the parametric programming problem (Q p ) of minimizing the quadratic function f(x,p):=x T Ax+b T x subject to the constraint Cxd, where x∈ℝ n , A∈ℝ n×n , b∈ℝ n , C∈ℝ m×n , d∈ℝ m , and p:=(A,b,C,d) is the parameter. Here, the matrix A is not assumed to be positive semidefinite. The set of the global minimizers and the set of the local minimizers to (Q p ) are denoted by M(p) and M loc (p), respectively. It is proved that if the point-to-set mapping M loc (·) is lower semicontinuous at p then M loc (p) is a nonempty set which consists of at most ? m,n points, where ? m,n = is the maximal cardinality of the antichains of distinct subsets of {1,2,...,m} which have at most n elements. It is proved also that the lower semicontinuity of M(·) at p implies that M(p) is a singleton. Under some regularity assumption, these necessary conditions become the sufficient ones. Let M⊂ℝ n be a submanifold of a euclidean space. A vector d∈ℝ n is called a helix direction of M if the angle between d and any tangent space T p M is constant. Let ℋ(M) be the set of helix directions of M. If the set ℋ(M) contains r linearly independent vectors we say that M is a weak r-helix. We say that M is a strong r-helix if ℋ(M) is a r-dimensional linear subspace of ℝ n . For curves and hypersurfaces both definitions agree. The object of this article is to show that these definitions are not equivalent. Namely, we construct (non strong) weak 2-helix surfaces of ℝ4. Let R13 be the Lorentzian 3-space with inner product (, ). Let Q3 be the conformal compactification of R13, obtained by attaching a light-cone C∞ to R13 in infinity. Then Q3 has a standard conformal Lorentzian structure with the conformal transformation group O(3,2)/{±1}. In this paper, we study local conformal invariants of time-like surfaces in Q3 and dual theorem for Willmore surfaces in Q3. Let M (?) R13 be a time-like surface. Let n be the unit normal and H the mean curvature of the surface M. For any p ∈ M we define S12(p) = {X ∈ R13 (X - c(P),X - c(p)) = 1/H(p)2} with c(p) = P 1/H(p)n(P) ∈ R13. Then S12 (p) is a one-sheet-hyperboloid in R3, which has the same tangent plane and mean curvature as M at the point p. We show that the family {S12(p),p ∈ M} of hyperboloid in R13 defines in general two different enveloping surfaces, one is M itself, another is denoted by M (may be degenerate), and called the associated surface of M. We show that (i) if M is a time-like Willmore surface in Q3 with non-degenerate associated surface M, then M is also a time-like Willmore surface in Q3 satisfying M = M; (ii) if M is a single point, then M is conformally equivalent to a minimal surface in R13.  相似文献

Summary In this paper we give a unified framework for constructing harmonic morphisms from the irreducible Riemannian symmetric spaces ℍH n, ℂH n, ℝH 2 t+1, ℍP n, ℂP n and ℝP 2n+1 of rank one. Using this we give a positive answer to the global existence problem for the non-compact hyperbolic cases. This work was supported by The Swedish Natural Science Research Council. By constructing normal coordinates on a quaternionic contact manifold M, we can osculate the quaternionic contact structure at each point by the standard quaternionic contact structure on the quaternionic Heisenberg group. By using this property, we can do harmonic analysis on general quaternionic contact manifolds, and solve the quaternionic contact Yamabe problem on M if its Yamabe invariant satisfies λ(M) < λ( n ). Let P(D) be a partial differential operator with constant coefficients which is surjective on the space A(Ω) of real analytic functions on a covex open set Ω⊂ℝ n . Let L(P m ) denote the localizations at ∞ (in the sense of H?rmander) of the principal part P m . Then Q(x+iτN)≠ 0 for (x,τ)∈ℝ n ×(ℝ\{ 0}) for any QL(P m ) if N is a normal to δΩ which is noncharacteristic for Q. Under additional assumptions this implies that P m must be locally hyperbolic. Let S ⊂ ℝn be a complete 2-dimensional areaminimizing mod 2 surface. Then S = x1 (M1) ∪ … ∪ xr (Mr) where each Mj is connected, xj: Mj → Vj is a classical minimal immersion into an affine subspace Vj of ℝn, and the subspaces V1,…, Vr are pairwise orthogonal. Here we prove that if Mj is orientable, then xj (Mj) is either aflat plane or, in suitable coordinates, a generalized complex hyperbola.  相似文献

We study the ℍ-regular surfaces, a class of intrinsic regular hypersurfaces in the setting of the Heisenberg group ℍ n = ℂ n × ℝ = ℝ2n+1 endowed with a leftinvariant metric d equivalent to its Carnot-Carathéodory (CC) metric. Here hypersurface simply means topological codimension 1 surface and by the words “intrinsic” and “regular” we mean, respectively notions involving the group structure of ℍ n and its differential structure as CC manifold. In particular, we characterize these surfaces as intrinsic regular graphs inside ℍ n by studying the intrinsic regularity of the parameterizations and giving an areatype formula for their intrinsic surface measure.  相似文献

The present paper studies the following constrained vector optimization problem: min  C f(x), g(x)∈−K, h(x)=0, where f:ℝ n →ℝ m , g:ℝ n →ℝ p and h:ℝ n →ℝ q are locally Lipschitz functions and C⊂ℝ m , K⊂ℝ p are closed convex cones. In terms of the Dini set-valued directional derivative, first-order necessary and first-order sufficient conditions are obtained for a point x 0 to be a w-minimizer (weakly efficient point) or an i-minimizer (isolated minimizer of order 1). It is shown that, under natural assumptions (given by a nonsmooth variant of the implicit function theorem for the equality constraints), the obtained conditions improve some given by Clarke and Craven. Further comparison is done with some recent results of Khanh, Tuan and of Jiiménez, Novo.  相似文献

An immersed surface M in N n ×ℝ is a helix if its tangent planes make constant angle with t . We prove that a minimal helix surface M, of arbitrary codimension is flat. If the codimension is one, it is totally geodesic. If the sectional curvature of N is positive, a minimal helix surfaces in N n ×ℝ is not necessarily totally geodesic. When the sectional curvature of N is nonpositive, then M is totally geodesic. In particular, minimal helix surfaces in Euclidean n-space are planes. We also investigate the case when M has parallel mean curvature vector: A complete helix surface with parallel mean curvature vector in Euclidean n-space is a plane or a cylinder of revolution. Finally, we use Eikonal f functions to construct locally any helix surface. In particular every minimal one can be constructed taking f with zero Hessian.  相似文献

In this paper we establish a discrete Calderón’s identity which converges in both L q (ℝ n+m ) (1<q<∞) and Hardy space H p (ℝ n ×ℝ m ) (0<p≤1). Based on this identity, we derive a new atomic decomposition into (p,q)-atoms (1<q<∞) on H p (ℝ n ×ℝ m ) for 0<p≤1. As an application, we prove that an operator T, which is bounded on L q (ℝ n+m ) for some 1<q<∞, is bounded from H p (ℝ n ×ℝ m ) to L p (ℝ n+m ) if and only if T is bounded uniformly on all (p,q)-product atoms in L p (ℝ n+m ). The similar result from H p (ℝ n ×ℝ m ) to H p (ℝ n ×ℝ m ) is also obtained.  相似文献

We consider the Cauchy problem of Navier-Stokes equations in weak Morrey spaces. We first define a class of weak Morrey type spaces Mp*,λ(Rn) on the basis of Lorentz space Lp,∞ = Lp*(Rn)(in particular, Mp*,0(Rn) = Lp,∞, if p > 1), and study some fundamental properties of them; Second, bounded linear operators on weak Morrey spaces, and establish the bilinear estimate in weak Morrey spaces. Finally, by means of Kato's method and the contraction mapping principle, we prove that the Cauchy problem of Navier-Stokes equations in weak Morrey spaces Mp*,λ(Rn) (1<p≤n) is time-global well-posed, provided that the initial data are sufficiently small. Moreover, we also obtain the existence and uniqueness of the self-similar solution for Navier-Stokes equations in these spaces, because the weak Morrey space Mp*,n-p(Rn) can admit the singular initial data with a self-similar structure. Hence this paper generalizes Kato's results.  相似文献

The aim of this work is to investigate the integrability properties of the maximal operator Mu,associated with a non-doubling measure μ defined on Rn. We start by establishing for a wide class of radial and increasing measures μ that Mu is bounded on all the spaces Lu^p(R^n),P〉1.Also,we show that there is a radial and increasing measure p for which Mμ does not map Lμ^p(R^n) into weak Lμ^p(R^n),1≤p〈∞.  相似文献

We give a characterization of totally η-umbilical real hypersurfaces and ruled real hypersurfaces of a complex space form in terms of totally umbilical condition for the holomorphic distribution on real hypersurfaces. We prove that if the shape operator A of a real hypersurface M of a complex space form M n (c), c ≠ 0, n ⩾ 3, satisfies g(AX, Y) = ag(X, Y) for any X, YT 0(x), a being a function, where T 0 is the holomorphic distribution on M, then M is a totally η-umbilical real hypersurface or locally congruent to a ruled real hypersurface. This condition for the shape operator is a generalization of the notion of η-umbilical real hypersurfaces.  相似文献

On an irregular domain G ⊂ ℝ n of a certain type, we introduce spaces of functions of fractional smoothness s > 0. We prove embedding theorems relating these spaces to the Sobolev spaces W p m (G) and Lebesgue spaces L p (G).  相似文献
