A family of parameter dependent optimal control problems for nonlinear ODEs is considered. The problems are subject to pointwise control constraints. It is shown that the standard conditions, used in stability analysis of optimal control problems, ensure not only Lipschitz continuity, but also Bouligand differentiability of the solutions with respect to the parameter. The Bouligand differentials are characterized as the solutions to the accessory linear-quadratic optimal control problems.

Nonlinear Programming Methods for Real-Time Control of an Industrial Robot   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The optimal control of an industrial robot is considered as a parametricnonlinear control problem subject to control and state constraints. Based onrecent stability results for parametric control problems, a robust nonlinearprogramming method is proposed to compute the sensitivity of open-loopcontrol solutions. Real-time control approximations of the perturbedoptimal solutions are obtained by evaluating first-order Taylor expansionsof the optimal solutions with respect to the parameter. The proposednumerical methods are applied to the industrial robot Manutec r3. Thequality of the real-time approximations is illustrated for perturbations inthe transport load.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a class of optimal control problems subject to equality terminal state constraints and continuous state and control inequality constraints. By using the control parametrization technique and a time scaling transformation, the constrained optimal control problem is approximated by a sequence of optimal parameter selection problems with equality terminal state constraints and continuous state inequality constraints. Each of these constrained optimal parameter selection problems can be regarded as an optimization problem subject to equality constraints and continuous inequality constraints. On this basis, an exact penalty function method is used to devise a computational method to solve these optimization problems with equality constraints and continuous inequality constraints. The main idea is to augment the exact penalty function constructed from the equality constraints and continuous inequality constraints to the objective function, forming a new one. This gives rise to a sequence of unconstrained optimization problems. It is shown that, for sufficiently large penalty parameter value, any local minimizer of the unconstrained optimization problem is a local minimizer of the optimization problem with equality constraints and continuous inequality constraints. The convergent properties of the optimal parameter selection problems with equality constraints and continuous inequality constraints to the original optimal control problem are also discussed. For illustration, three examples are solved showing the effectiveness and applicability of the approach proposed.  相似文献

A family of convex optimal control problems that depend on a real parameterh is considered. The optimal control problems are subject to state space constraints. It is shown that under some regularity conditions on data the solutions of these problems as well as the associated Lagrange multipliers are directionally-differentiable functions of the parameter. The respective right-derivatives are given as the solution and respective Lagrange multipliers for an auxiliary quadratic optimal control problem subject to linear state space constraints. If a condition of strict complementarity type holds, then directional derivatives become continuous ones.  相似文献

Parametric nonlinear optimal control problems subject to control and state constraints are studied. Two discretization methods are discussed that transcribe optimal control problems into nonlinear programming problems for which SQP-methods provide efficient solution methods. It is shown that SQP-methods can be used also for a check of second-order sufficient conditions and for a postoptimal calculation of adjoint variables. In addition, SQP-methods lead to a robust computation of sensitivity differentials of optimal solutions with respect to perturbation parameters. Numerical sensitivity analysis is the basis for real-time control approximations of perturbed solutions which are obtained by evaluating a first-order Taylor expansion with respect to the parameter. The proposed numerical methods are illustrated by the optimal control of a low-thrust satellite transfer to geosynchronous orbit and a complex control problem from aquanautics. The examples illustrate the robustness, accuracy and efficiency of the proposed numerical algorithms.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the maximum principles for optimal control problems governed by the damped Klein-Gordon equations with state constraints. And we prove the existence of the optimal parameter and deduce the necessary conditions on the optimal parameter.  相似文献

We consider a family of optimal control problems for systems described by nonlinear ordinary differential equations with control appearing linearly. The cost functionals and the control constraints are convex. All data depend on a vector parameter.Using the concept of the second-order sufficient optimality conditions it is shown that the solutions of the problems, as well as the associated Lagrange multipliers, are locally Lipschitz continuous and directionally differentiable functions of the parameter.  相似文献

A class of optimal control problems for a parabolic equation with nonlinear boundary condition and constraints on the control and the state is considered. Associated approximate problems are established, where the equation of state is defined by a semidiscrete Ritz-Galerkin method. Moreover, we are able to allow for the discretization of admissible controls. We show the convergence of the approximate controls to the solution of the exact control problem, as the discretization parameter tends toward zero. This result holds true under the assumption of a certain sufficient second-order optimality condition.Dedicated to the 60th birthday of Lothar von Wolfersdorf  相似文献

A family of linear-quadratic optimal control problems with pointwise mixed state-control constraints governed by linear elliptic partial differential equations is considered. All data depend on a vector parameter of perturbations. Lipschitz stability with respect to perturbations of the optimal control, the state and adjoint variables, and the Lagrange multipliers is established.  相似文献

Necessary conditions are derived for optimal control problems subject to isoperimetric constraints and for optimal control problems with inequality constraints at the terminal time. The conditions are derived by transforming the problem into the standard form of optimal control problems and then using Pontryagin's principle.  相似文献

This paper considers a class of nonlinear differentiable optimization problems depending on a parameter. We show that, if constraint regularity, a second-order sufficient optimality condition, and a stability condition for the Lagrange multipliers hold, then for sufficiently smooth perturbations of the constraints and the objective function the optimal solutions locally obey a type of Lipschitz condition. The results are applied to finite-dimensional problems, equality constrained problems, and optimal control problems.  相似文献

A family of parameter dependent optimal control problems is considered. The problems are subject to higher-order inequality type state constraints. It is assumed that, at the reference value of the parameter, the solution exists and is regular. Regularity conditions are formulated under which the original problems are locally equivalent to some other problems subject to equality type constraints only. The classical implicit function theorem is applied to these new problems to investigate Fréchet dif ferentiability of the stationarity points with respect to the parameter.  相似文献

Practical industrial process is usually a dynamic process including uncertainty. Stochastic constraints can be used for industrial process modeling, when system sate and/or control input constraints cannot be strictly satisfied. Thus, optimal control of switched systems with stochastic constraints can be available to address practical industrial process problems with different modes. In general, obtaining an analytical solution of the optimal control problem is usually very difficult due to the discrete nature of the switching law and the complexity of stochastic constraints. To obtain a numerical solution, this problem is formulated as a constrained nonlinear parameter selection problem (CNPSP) based on a relaxation transformation (RT) technique, an adaptive sample approximation (ASA) method, a smooth approximation (SA) technique, and a control parameterization (CP) method. Following that, a penalty function-based random search (PFRS) algorithm is designed for solving the CNPSP based on a novel search rule-based penalty function (NSRPF) method and a novel random search (NRS) algorithm. The convergence results show that the proposed method is globally convergent. Finally, an optimal control problem in automobile test-driving with gear shifts (ATGS) is further extended to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method by taking into account some stochastic constraints. Numerical results show that compared with other typical methods, the proposed method is less conservative and can obtain a stable and robust performance when considering the small perturbations in initial system state. In addition, to balance the computation amount and the numerical solution accuracy, a tolerance setting method is also provided by the numerical analysis technique.  相似文献

We consider a family of parametric linear-quadratic optimal control problems with terminal and control constraints. This family has the specific feature that the class of optimal controls is changed for an arbitrarily small change in the parameter. In the perturbed problem, the behavior of the corresponding trajectory on noncritical arcs of the optimal control is described by solutions of singularly perturbed boundary value problems. For the solutions of these boundary value problems, we obtain an asymptotic expansion in powers of the small parameter ?. The asymptotic formula starts from a term of the order of 1/? and contains boundary layers. This formula is used to justify the asymptotic expansion of the optimal control for a perturbed problem in the family. We suggest a simple method for constructing approximate solutions of the perturbed optimal control problems without integrating singularly perturbed systems. The results of a numerical experiment are presented.  相似文献

We study optimal control problems for semilinear elliptic equations subject to control and state inequality constraints. In a first part we consider boundary control problems with either Dirichlet or Neumann conditions. By introducing suitable discretization schemes, the control problem is transcribed into a nonlinear programming problem. It is shown that a recently developed interior point method is able to solve these problems even for high discretizations. Several numerical examples with Dirichlet and Neumann boundary conditions are provided that illustrate the performance of the algorithm for different types of controls including bang-bang and singular controls. The necessary conditions of optimality are checked numerically in the presence of active control and state constraints.  相似文献

Consider the class of linear-quadratic (LQ) optimal control problems with continuous linear state constraints, that is, constraints imposed on every instant of the time horizon. This class of problems is known to be difficult to solve numerically. In this paper, a computational method based on a semi-infinite programming approach is given. The LQ optimal control problem is formulated as a positive-quadratic infinite programming problem. This can be done by considering the control as the decision variable, while taking the state as a function of the control. After parametrizing the decision variable, an approximate quadratic semi-infinite programming problem is obtained. It is shown that, as we refine the parametrization, the solution sequence of the approximate problems converges to the solution of the infinite programming problem (hence, to the solution of the original optimal control problem). Numerically, the semi-infinite programming problems obtained above can be solved efficiently using an algorithm based on a dual parametrization method.  相似文献

This paper deals with a class of optimal control problems in which the system is governed by a linear partial differential equation and the control is distributed and with constraints. The problem is posed in the framework of the theory of optimal control of systems. A numerical method is proposed to approximate the optimal control. In this method, the state space as well as the convex set of admissible controls are discretized. An abstract error estimate for the optimal control problem is obtained that depends on both the approximation of the state equation and the space of controls. This theoretical result is illustrated by some numerical examples from the literature.  相似文献

The solution methods for optimal control problems with coupled partial differential equations as constraints are computationally costly and memory intensive; in particular for problems stated on networks, this prevents the methods from being relevant. We present instantaneous control problems for the optimization of traffic flow problems on road networks. We derive the optimality conditions, investigate the relation to the full optimal control problem and prove that certain properties of the optimal control problem carry over to the instantaneous one. We propose a solution algorithm and compare quality of the computed controls and run‐times. Copyright © 2006 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

We discuss several optimization procedures to solve finite element approximations of linear-quadratic Dirichlet optimal control problems governed by an elliptic partial differential equation posed on a 2D or 3D Lipschitz domain. The control is discretized explicitly using continuous piecewise linear approximations. Unconstrained, control-constrained, state-constrained and control-and-state constrained problems are analysed. A preconditioned conjugate method for a reduced problem in the control variable is proposed to solve the unconstrained problem, whereas semismooth Newton methods are discussed for the solution of constrained problems. State constraints are treated via a Moreau–Yosida penalization. Convergence is studied for both the continuous problems and the finite dimensional approximations. In the finite dimensional case, we are able to show convergence of the optimization procedures even in the absence of Tikhonov regularization parameter. Computational aspects are also treated and several numerical examples are included to illustrate the theoretical results.  相似文献
