This paper is concerned with theoretical analysis of the initial-boundary value problem for the dual porosity model of Darcian flows with the Preisach hysteresis operator. Due to the presence of the so-called unilateral boundary condition, the problem comes as an evolution variational inequality. We apply the penalty method to prove the global-in-time existence of the variational solution by constructing approximate solutions satisfying suitable energy type estimates.  相似文献

In this paper we focus on the initial-boundary value problem of the 2-D isentropic Euler equations with damping. In this paper we study a prey-predator model defined by an initial-boundary value problem whose dynamics is described by a Holling type III functional response. We establish global existence and uniqueness of the strong solution. We prove that if the initial data are positive and satisfy a certain regularity condition, the solution of the problem is positive and bounded on the domain and then we deduce the continuous dependence on the initial data. A numerical approximation of the system is carried out with a spectral method coupled with the fourth-order Runge-Kutta time solver. The biological relevance of the comparative numerical results is also presented.  相似文献

This work investigates the existence of globally Lipschitz continuous solutions to a class of initial-boundary value problem of quasilinear wave equations. Applying the Lax's method and generalized Glimm's method, we construct the approximate solutions of initial-boundary Riemann problem near the boundary layer and perturbed Riemann problem away from the boundary layer. By showing the weak convergence of residuals for the approximate solutions, we establish the global existence for the derivatives of solutions and obtain the existence of global Lipschitz continuous solutions of the problem.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the analysis of a sixth-order nonlinear parabolic equation whose solutions describe the evolution of the particle density in a quantum fluid. We prove the global-in-time existence of weak nonnegative solutions in two and three space dimensions under periodic boundary conditions. Moreover, we show that these solutions are smooth and classical whenever the particle density is strictly positive, and we prove the long-time convergence to the spatial homogeneous equilibrium at a universal exponential rate. Our analysis strongly uses the Lyapunov property of the entropy functional.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the existence and asymptotic behavior of solutions of a nonlocal dispersal equation. By means of super-subsolution method and monotone iteration, we first study the existence and asymptotic behavior of solutions for a general nonlocal dispersal equation. Then, we apply these results to our equation and show that the nonnegative solution is unique, and the behavior of this solution depends on parameter λ in equation. For λλ1(Ω), the solution decays to zero as t; while for λ>λ1(Ω), the solution converges to the unique positive stationary solution as t. In addition, we show that the solution blows up under some conditions.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider initial boundary value problem of the generalized Boussinesq equation with nonlinear interior source and boundary absorptive terms. We establish firstly the local existence of solutions by standard Galerkin method. Then we prove both the global existence of the solution and a general decay of the energy functions under some restrictions on the initial data. We also prove a blow-up result for solutions with positive and negative initial energy respectively.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the initial-boundary value problem for a class of singular parabolic equations. Under some conditions, we obtain the existence and asymptotic behavior of solutions to the problem by parabolic regularization method and the sub-super solutions method. In this work we consider the first boundary value problem for a parabolic equation of second order with a small parameter on a half-axis (i.e., we consider the one-dimensional case). We take the zero initial condition. We construct the global (that is, the caustic points are taken into account) asymptotics of a solution for the boundary value problem. The asymptotic solution of this problem has a different structure depending on the sign of the coefficient (the drift coefficient) at the derivative of first order at a boundary point. Advective transport in a tidal basin is modelled by a non-linear parabolic equation with initial-boundary values. The model includes small effects such as diffusion, the reststream, reaction effects and sources. For a given periodic flow field, the long-time behaviour of the solutions is approximated by using the averaging method. We show the existence of a periodic solution and we demonstrate the asymptotic validity of the approximations for all time using maximum principles.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to the study of the spreading speeds of a partially degenerate reaction–diffusion system with monostable nonlinearity in a periodic habitat. We first obtain sufficient conditions for the existence of principal eigenvalues in the case where solution maps of the associated linear systems lack compactness, and prove a threshold type result on the global dynamics for the periodic initial value problem. Then we establish the existence and computational formulae of spreading speeds for the general initial value problem. It turns out that the spreading speed is linearly determinate.  相似文献
