For any field 𝕂 and integer n ≥ 2, we consider the Leavitt algebra L 𝕂(n); for any integer d ≥ 1, we form the matrix ring S = M d (L 𝕂(n)). S is an associative algebra, but we view S as a Lie algebra using the bracket [a, b] = ab ? ba for a, b ∈ S. We denote this Lie algebra as S ?, and consider its Lie subalgebra [S ?, S ?]. In our main result, we show that [S ?, S ?] is a simple Lie algebra if and only if char(𝕂) divides n ? 1 and char(𝕂) does not divide d. In particular, when d = 1, we get that [L 𝕂(n)?, L 𝕂(n)?] is a simple Lie algebra if and only if char(𝕂) divides n ? 1.  相似文献

It is known that the second Leibniz homology group HL 2 (𝔰𝔱𝔩 n (R)) of the Steinberg Leibniz algebra 𝔰𝔱𝔩 n (R) is trivial for n ≥ 5. In this article, we determine HL 2(𝔰𝔱𝔩 n (R)) explicitly (which are shown to be not necessarily trivial) for n = 3, 4 without any assumption on the base ring.  相似文献

An inverse semigroup S is said to be 0-semidistributive if its lattice ?F (S) of full inverse subsemigroups is 0-semidistributive. We show that it is sufficient to study simple inverse semigroups which are not groups. Our main theorem states that such a simple inverse semigroup S is 0-semidistributive if and only if (1) S is E-unitary, (2) S is aperiodic, (3) for any a,b ∈ S/σ with ab ≠ 1, there exist nonzero integers n and m such that (ab) m  = a n or (ab) m  = b n , where σ is the minimum group congruence on S.  相似文献

In Tong-Viet's, 2012 work, the following question arose: Question. Which groups can be uniquely determined by the structure of their complex group algebras?

It is proved here that some simple groups of Lie type are determined by the structure of their complex group algebras. Let p be an odd prime number and S = PSL(2, p 2). In this paper, we prove that, if M is a finite group such that S < M < Aut(S), M = ?2 × PSL(2, p 2) or M = SL(2, p 2), then M is uniquely determined by its order and some information about its character degrees. Let X 1(G) be the set of all irreducible complex character degrees of G counting multiplicities. As a consequence of our results, we prove that, if G is a finite group such that X 1(G) = X 1(M), then G ? M. This implies that M is uniquely determined by the structure of its complex group algebra.  相似文献

Let R be any commutative ring with identity, and let C be a (finite or infinite) cyclic group. We show that the group ring R(C) is presimplifiable if and only if its augmentation ideal I(C) is presimplifiable. We conjecture that the group rings R(C n ) are presimplifiable if and only if n = p m , p ∈ J(R), p is prime, and R is presimplifiable. We show the necessity of n = p m , and we prove the sufficiency when n = 2, 3, 4. These results were made possible by a new formula derived herein for the circulant determinantal coefficients.  相似文献

Let L be a finite dimensional Lie algebra over a field F. It is well known that the solvable radical S(L) of the algebra L is a characteristic ideal of L if char F = 0, and there are counterexamples to this statement in case char F = p > 0. We prove that the sum S(L) of all solvable ideals of a Lie algebra L (not necessarily finite dimensional) is a characteristic ideal of L in the following cases: 1) char F = 0; 2) S(L) is solvable and its derived length is less than log2 p.  相似文献

We say that groups, which are isomorphic to inner mapping groups of finite loops, are loop capable. Let p and q be distinct prime numbers, S a nonabelian group of order pq, and C a finite nontrivial cyclic group such that gcd (|S|, |C|) = 1. We show that the group S × C is not loop capable.  相似文献

Abstract

Let k be a field with char k = p > 0 and G an abelian group with a bicharacter λ on G. For each p-(G,λ)-Lie color algebra L over k the p-universal enveloping algebra u(L) is a G-graded Hopf algebra,i.e.,a Hopf algebra in the category kG ? of kG-comodules. In this paper we describe a subcategory of kG ? which is equivalent to the category of the finite dimensional p-(G,λ)-Lie color algebras over k.  相似文献

We study Galois points for a plane smooth curve C ? P 2 of degree d ≥ 4 in characteristic p > 2. We generalize Yoshihara's result on the number of inner (resp., outer) Galois points to positive characteristic under the assumption that d ? 1 (resp., d ? 0) modulo p. As an application, we also find the number of Galois points in the case that d = p.  相似文献

Abstract

A mapping Z(·) from a δ-ring ?0(?) into the vector space of random variables L p (P) is a vector-valued measure if it is σ-additive in the metric of its range. It is a vector measure if the range is a Banach space and a random measure if also its values are independent on disjoint sets. An important reason for this study is to construct integrals relative to such Zs, which typically do not have finite variation. For this, it is essential to find a controlling (σ-finite) measure for Z that is not available if 0 <p < 1, and here the random measure is taken to be p-stable and utilize properties of infinitely divisible distributions. In the case of p = 2, Z(·) induces a bimeasure, and if p > 2 is an integer it induces a polymeasure, either of which need not be (signed) measures on product spaces. Important applications lead to all these possibilities. In all those cases, a detailed analysis of vector-valued set functions is presented, with special focus for the cases of 0 <p < 1 and p = 2 where probability and Bochner's L 2, 2 boundedness plays a key role. Specialization if Z is stationary, harmonizable, and/or isotropic are discussed using the group structure of ? n , n ≥ 1, extending it for an lca group G. If Z is Banach valued or a quasi-martingale measure, methods of obtaining integrals are outlined in the last section, and open problems motivated by applications are pointed out at various places.  相似文献

In this article, we examine group-graded algebras R with color involution. If S is the symmetric elements and K the skew symmetric elements, it is shown that if S n  = 0 then R 3n  = 0, whereas if K n  = 0 then (R[R, R]ε R) n  = 0, where R[R, R]ε R is the ε-commutator ideal corresponding to a bicharacter ε. It is then shown that the bounds found for the degrees of nilpotence of R and R[R, R]ε R are best possible. We also examine the situation where R is graded by a finite group and only the identity component of either S or K is assumed to be nilpotent. We conclude by looking at some questions related to the Nagata-Higman theorem.  相似文献

Generalizing the notion of Galois corings, Galois comodules were introduced as comodules P over an A-coring 𝒞 for which P A is finitely generated and projective and the evaluation map μ𝒞:Hom 𝒞 (P, 𝒞) ?  S P → 𝒞 is an isomorphism (of corings) where S = End 𝒞 (P). It has been observed that for such comodules the functors ? ?  A 𝒞 and Hom A (P, ?) ?  S P from the category of right A-modules to the category of right 𝒞-comodules are isomorphic. In this note we use this isomorphism related to a comodule P to define Galois comodules without requiring P A to be finitely generated and projective. This generalises the old notion with this name but we show that essential properties and relationships are maintained. Galois comodules are close to being generators and have common properties with tilting (co)modules. Some of our results also apply to generalised Hopf Galois (coalgebra Galois) extensions.  相似文献

We are given a semiprime unital ring A with * such that x*x = xx* for all elements x of A. We will show that both elements x + x* and xx* are central elements. In the case in which A is a quaternion algebra over a field F in the sense given by Albert, we show that * is unique and coincides with the canonical involution. We also provide specific constructions of quaternion division algebras A with canonical involution over a field F of one of the following types: (i) F is a function field in two variables over a ground field of unspecified characteristic; (ii) F is a function field over the Galois field GF(2n); and (iii) F is a function field over the Galois field GF(pn) where p is an odd prime number and n is a natural number.  相似文献

We derive explicit equations for the maximal function fields F over 𝔽 q 2n given by F = 𝔽 q 2n (X, Y) with the relation A(Y) = f(X), where A(Y) and f(X) are polynomials with coefficients in the finite field 𝔽 q 2n , and where A(Y) is q-additive and deg(f) = q n  + 1. We prove in particular that such maximal function fields F are Galois subfields of the Hermitian function field H over 𝔽 q 2n (i.e., the extension H/F is Galois).  相似文献

In this article we prove that a set of points B of PG(n, 2) is a minimal blocking set if and only if ?B? = PG(d, 2) with d odd and B is a set of d + 2 points of PG(d, 2) no d + 1 of them in the same hyperplane. As a corollary to the latter result we show that if G is a finite 2-group and n is a positive integer, then G admits a ? n+1-cover if and only if n is even and G? (C 2) n , where by a ? m -cover for a group H we mean a set 𝒞 of size m of maximal subgroups of H whose set-theoretic union is the whole H and no proper subset of 𝒞 has the latter property and the intersection of the maximal subgroups is core-free. Also for all n < 10 we find all pairs (m,p) (m > 0 an integer and p a prime number) for which there is a blocking set B of size n in PG(m,p) such that ?B? = PG(m,p).  相似文献

We study algebra classes and divisor classes on a normal affine surface of the form z 2 = f(x, y). The affine coordinate ring is T = k[x, y, z]/(z 2 ? f), and if R = k[x, y][f ?1] and S = R[z]/(z 2 ? f), then S is a quadratic Galois extension of R. If the Galois group is G, we show that the natural map H1(G, Cl(T)) → H1(G, Pic(S)) factors through the relative Brauer group B(S/R) and that all of the maps are onto. Sufficient conditions are given for H1(G, Cl(T)) to be isomorphic to B(S/R). The groups and maps are computed for several examples.  相似文献

Let G be a finite group. A subgroup K of a group G is called an ?-subgroup of G if N G (K) ∩ K x  ≦ K for all x ? G. The set of all ?-subgroups of G will be denoted by ?(G). Let P be a nontrivial p-group. A chain of subgroups 1 = P 0 ? P 1 ? ··· ? P n  = P is called a maximal chain of P provided that |P i : P i?1| = p, i = 1, 2, ···, n. A nontrivial p-subgroup P of G is called weakly supersolvably embedded in G if P has a maximal chain 1 = P 0 ? P 1 ? ··· ? P i  ? ··· ? P n  = P such that P i  ? ?(G) for i = 1, 2, ···, n. Using the concept of weakly supersolvably embedded, we obtain new characterizations of p-nilpotent and supersolvable finite groups.  相似文献

In the present article the classification of n-dimensional naturally graded p-filiform (1 ≤ p ≤ n ? 4) Leibniz algebras is obtained. A splitting of the set of naturally graded Leibniz algebras into the families of Lie and non Lie Leibniz algebras by means of characteristic sequences (isomorphism invariants) is proved.  相似文献

We characterize all finite p-groups G of order p n (n ≤ 6), where p is a prime for n ≤ 5 and an odd prime for n = 6, such that the center of the inner automorphism group of G is equal to the group of central automorphisms of G.  相似文献
