For any field 𝕂 and integer n ≥ 2, we consider the Leavitt algebra L 𝕂(n); for any integer d ≥ 1, we form the matrix ring S = M d (L 𝕂(n)). S is an associative algebra, but we view S as a Lie algebra using the bracket [a, b] = ab ? ba for a, b ∈ S. We denote this Lie algebra as S ?, and consider its Lie subalgebra [S ?, S ?]. In our main result, we show that [S ?, S ?] is a simple Lie algebra if and only if char(𝕂) divides n ? 1 and char(𝕂) does not divide d. In particular, when d = 1, we get that [L 𝕂(n)?, L 𝕂(n)?] is a simple Lie algebra if and only if char(𝕂) divides n ? 1.  相似文献

The aim of this work is to characterize the families of Frobenius (respectively, contact) solvable Lie algebras that satisfies the following condition: 𝔤 = 𝔥?V, where 𝔥?𝔤𝔩(V), |dim V?dim 𝔤|≤1 and NilRad(𝔤) = V, V being a finite dimensional vector space. In particular, it is proved that every complex Frobenius solvable Lie algebra is decomposable, whereas that in the real case there are only two indecomposable Frobenius solvable Lie algebras.  相似文献

We studied the solvability of the algebra which satisfies the polynomial identity (x 2)2 = 0. We believe that, if A is a finite dimensional commutative algebra over a field F of characteristic not 2 which satisfies (x 2)2 = 0 for all x ∈ A, then A is solvable. In this article we proved this when dim  F A ≤ 7.  相似文献

It is proved that if a (?/p ?)-graded Lie algebra L, where p is a prime, has exactly d nontrivial grading components and dim L 0 = m, then L has a nilpotent ideal of d-bounded nilpotency class and of finite (m,d)-bounded codimension. As a consequence, Jacobson's theorem on constant-free nilpotent Lie algebras of derivations is generalized to the almost constant-free case. Another application is for Lie algebras with almost fixed-point-free automorphisms.  相似文献

Abstract

The main purpose of this paper is to study Lie algebras L such that if a subalgebra U of L has a maximal subalgebra of dimension one then every maximal subalgebra of U has dimension one. Such an L is called lm(0)-algebra. This class of Lie algebras emerges when it is imposed on the lattice of subalgebras of a Lie algebra the condition that every atom is lower modular. We see that the effect of that condition is highly sensitive to the ground field F. If F is algebraically closed, then every Lie algebra is lm(0). By contrast, for every algebraically non-closed field there exist simple Lie algebras which are not lm(0). For the real field, the semisimple lm(0)-algebras are just the Lie algebras whose Killing form is negative-definite. Also, we study when the simple Lie algebras having a maximal subalgebra of codimension one are lm(0), provided that char(F) ≠ 2. Moreover, lm(0)-algebras lead us to consider certain other classes of Lie algebras and the largest ideal of an arbitrary Lie algebra L on which the action of every element of L is split, which might have some interest by themselves.  相似文献

Let I be a nilpotent ideal of an associative algebra A over a field F and let D be a derivation of A. We prove that the ideal I + D(I) is nilpotent if char F = 0 or the nilpotency index I is less than char F = p in the case of the positive characteristic of the field F. In particular, the sum N(A) of all nilpotent ideals of the algebra A is a characteristic ideal if char F = 0 or N(A) is a nilpotent ideal of index < p = char F.  相似文献

Let L be a non-abelian restricted Lie algebra over a field of characteristic p > 0 and let u(L) denote its restricted enveloping algebra. In Siciliano (Publ Math (Debr) 68:503–513, 2006) it was proved that if u(L) is Lie solvable then the Lie derived length of u(L) is at least ⌈log2(p + 1)⌉. In the present paper we characterize the restricted enveloping algebras whose Lie derived length coincides with this lower bound.  相似文献

For a restricted Lie algebra L over a field of characteristic p > 0 we study the Lie nilpotency index t L (u(L)) of its restricted universal enveloping algebra u(L). In particular, we determine an upper and a lower bound for t L (u(L)). Finally, under the assumption that L is p-nilpotent and finite-dimensional, we establish when the Lie nilpotency index of u(L) is maximal.

Let (L, [p]) be a finite dimensional restricted Lie algebra over an algebraically closed field F of characteristic p ≥ 3, X ∈ L* a linear form. In this article we study the Auslander-Reiten quivers of certain blocks of the reduced enveloping algebra u(L,x). In particular, it is shown that the enveloping algebras of supersolvable Lie algebras do not possess AR-components of Euclidean type.  相似文献

Given an algebraically closed field F of characteristic 0 and an F-vector space V, let L(V)?=?VΛ2(V) denote the free 2-step nilpotent Lie algebra associated to V. In this paper, we classify all uniserial representations of the solvable Lie algebra 𝔤?=??x??L(V), where x acts on V via an arbitrary invertible Jordan block.  相似文献

Let L be a restricted Lie algebra over a field of characteristic p > 2 and denote by u(L) its restricted enveloping algebra. We determine the conditions under which the set of symmetric elements of u(L) with respect to the principal involution is Lie solvable, Lie nilpotent, or bounded Lie Engel.  相似文献

Let L be a restricted Lie algebra over a field of characteristic p>2 and denote by u(L) its restricted enveloping algebra. We establish when the Lie algebra of skew-symmetric elements of u(L) under the principal involution is solvable, nilpotent, or satisfies an Engel condition.  相似文献

In this article we prove that, if (U, ω) is a finite dimensional baric algebra of (γ, δ) type over a field F of characteristic ≠ 2,3,5 such that γ2 ? δ2 + δ = 1 and δ ≠ 0,1, then rad(U) = R(U) ∩ (bar(U))2, where R(U) is the nilradical (maximal nil ideal) of U.  相似文献

Let L be a Lie algebra, nilpotent of class 2, over an infinite field K, and suppose that the centre C of L is one dimensional; such Lie algebras are called Heisenberg algebras. Let ρ:L→hom KV be a finite dimensional representation of the Heisenberg algebra L such that ρ(C) contains non-singular linear transformations of V, and denote l(ρ) the ideal of identities for the representation ρ. We prove that the ideals of identities of representations containing I(ρ) and generated by multilinear polynomials satisfy the ACC. Let sl 2(L) be the Lie algebra of the traceless 2×2 matrices over K, and suppose the characteristic of K equals 2. As a corollary we obtain that the ideals of identities of representations of Lie algebras containing that of the regular representation of sl 2(K) and generated by multilinear polynomials, are finitely based. In addition we show that one cannot simply dispense with the condition of multilinearity. Namely, we show that the ACC is violated for the ideals of representations of Lie algebras (over an infinite field of characteristic 2) that contain the identities of the regular representation of sl 2(K).  相似文献

Let L be a restricted Lie algebra. The symmetric algebra Sp(L) of the restricted enveloping algebra u(L) has the structure of a Poisson algebra. We give necessary and sufficient conditions on L in order for the symmetric algebra Sp(L) to satisfy a multilinear Poisson identity. We also settle the same problem for the symmetric algebra S(L) of a Lie algebra L over an arbitrary field. The first author was partially supported by MIUR of Italy. Let L be a Lie superalgebra with its enveloping algebra U(L) over a field F. A polynomial identity is called non-matrix if it is not satisfied by the algebra of 2×2 matrices over F. We characterize L when U(L) satisfies a non-matrix polynomial identity. We also characterize L when U(L) is Lie solvable, Lie nilpotent, or Lie super-nilpotent.  相似文献

In this article we introduce the series of the upper Lie codimension subgroups of a group algebra KG of a group G over a field K. By means of this series we give a contribution to the conjecture cl L (KG) = cl L (KG) when G belongs to particular classes of finite p-groups.  相似文献

Let R be a prime ring of characteristic different from 2, U its right Utumi quotient ring, C its extended centroid and L a not central Lie ideal of R. Suppose that F, G and H are generalized derivations of R, with F≠0, such that F(G(x)x?xH(x)) = 0, for any xL. In this paper we describe all possible forms of F, G and H.  相似文献
