We generalize a well-known two-parameter quantization for the group GL 2(k) (over an arbitrary field k). Specifically, a certain class of Hopf algebras is constructed containing that quantization. The algebras are constructed given an arbitrary coalgebra and an arbitrary pair of its commuting anti-isomorphisms, and are defined by quadratic relations. They are densely linked to the compact quantum groups introduced by Woronowicz. We give examples of Hopf algebras that can be rowed up to the two-parameter quantization for GL 2(k).  相似文献

This is a contribution to the classification of finite-dimensional pointed Hopf algebras. We are concerned with the case when the group of group-like elements is Abelian of exponent 2. We attach to such a pointed Hopf algebra a generalized simply-laced Cartan matrix; we conjecture that the Hopf algebra is finite-dimensional if and only if the Cartan matrix is of finite type. We prove the conjecture for the types An and An(1). We obtain the classification of all possible Hopf algebras with Cartan matrix An. We use the lifting method developed by Hans-Jürgen Schneider and the first-named author. Presented by S. Let G be a group and assume that (A p ) pG is a family of algebras with identity. We have a Hopf G-coalgebra (in the sense of Turaev) if, for each pair p,qG, there is given a unital homomorphism Δ p,q : A pq A p A q satisfying certain properties. Consider now the direct sum A of these algebras. It is an algebra, without identity, except when G is a finite group, but the product is non-degenerate. The maps Δ p,q can be used to define a coproduct Δ on A and the conditions imposed on these maps give that (A,Δ) is a multiplier Hopf algebra. It is G-cograded as explained in this paper. We study these so-called group-cograded multiplier Hopf algebras. They are, as explained above, more general than the Hopf group-coalgebras as introduced by Turaev. Moreover, our point of view makes it possible to use results and techniques from the theory of multiplier Hopf algebras in the study of Hopf group-coalgebras (and generalizations). In a separate paper, we treat the quantum double in this context and we recover, in a simple and natural way (and generalize) results obtained by Zunino. In this paper, we study integrals, in general and in the case where the components are finite-dimensional. Using these ideas, we obtain most of the results of Virelizier on this subject and consider them in the framework of multiplier Hopf algebras. Presented by Ken Goodearl.  相似文献

In this paper, we will develop the smash product of weak multiplier Hopf algebras unifying the cases of Hopf algebras, weak Hopf algebras and multiplier Hopf algebras. We will show that the smash product R#A has a regular weak multiplier Hopf algebra structure if R and A are regular weak multiplier Hopf algebras. We shall investigate integrals on R#A. We also consider the result in the ?-situation and new examples. Dually, we consider the smash coproduct of weak multiplier Hopf algebras under an appropriate form and integrals on the smash coproduct and we obtain results in the ?-situation.  相似文献

We study the quasitriangular structures for a family of pointed Hopf algebras which is big enough to include Taft's Hopf algebras H n 2, Radford's Hopf algebras H N,n,q, and E(n). We give necessary and sufficient conditions for the Hopf algebras in our family to be quasitriangular. For the case when they are, we determine completely all the quasitriangular structures. Also, we determine the ribbon elements of the quasitriangular Hopf algebras and the quasi-ribbon elements of their Drinfel'd double.  相似文献

Pairing and Quantum Double of Multiplier Hopf Algebras   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
We define and investigate pairings of multiplier Hopf (*-)algebras which are nonunital generalizations of Hopf algebras. Dual pairs of multiplier Hopf algebras arise naturally from any multiplier Hopf algebra A with integral and its dual Â. Pairings of multiplier Hopf algebras play a basic rôle, e.g., in the study of actions and coactions, and, in particular, in the relation between them. This aspect of the theory is treated elsewhere. In this paper we consider the quantum double construction out of a dual pair of multiplier Hopf algebras. We show that two dually paired regular multiplier Hopf (*-)algebras A and B yield a quantum double which is again a regular multiplier Hopf (*-)algebra. If A and B have integrals, then the quantum double also has an integral. If A and B are Hopf algebras, then the quantum double multiplier Hopf algebra is the usual quantum double. The quantum double construction for dually paired multiplier Hopf (*-)algebras yields new nontrivial examples of multiplier Hopf (*-)algebras.  相似文献

We study several families of semisimple Hopf algebras, arising as bismash products, which are constructed from finite groups with a certain specified factorization. First we associate a bismash product Hq of dimension q(q−1)(q+1) to each of the finite groups PGL2(q) and show that these Hq do not have the structure (as algebras) of group algebras (except when q=2,3). As a corollary, all Hopf algebras constructed from them by a comultiplication twist also have this property and are thus non-trivial. We also show that bismash products constructed from Frobenius groups do have the structure (as algebras) of group algebras.  相似文献

We introduce analogs of the Hopf algebra of Free quasi-symmetric functions with bases labeled by colored permutations. When the color set is a semigroup, an internal product can be introduced. This leads to the construction of generalized descent algebras associated with wreath products Γ?Sn and to the corresponding generalizations of quasi-symmetric functions. The associated Hopf algebras appear as natural analogs of McMahon’s multisymmetric functions. As a consequence, we obtain an internal product on ordinary multi-symmetric functions. We extend these constructions to Hopf algebras of colored parking functions, colored non-crossing partitions and parking functions of type B.  相似文献

We define and study the property finite presentability in the category  of Hopf algebras that are smash product of universal enveloping algebra of a Lie algebra by a group algebra. We show that for such Hopf algebras finite presentability is equivalent with finite presentability as an associative k-algebra.  相似文献

We survey Hopf algebras and their generalizations. In particular, we compare and contrast three well-studied generalizations (quasi-Hopf algebras, weak Hopf algebras, and Hopf algebroids), and two newer ones (Hopf monads and hopfish algebras). Each of these notions was originally introduced for a specific purpose within a particular context; our discussion favors applicability to the theory of dynamical quantum groups. Throughout the note, we provide several definitions and examples in order to make this exposition accessible to readers with differing backgrounds.  相似文献

By applying a recent construction of free Baxter algebras, we obtain a new class of Hopf algebras that generalizes the classical divided power Hopf algebra. We also study conditions under which these Hopf algebras are isomorphic.

The group of Hopf algebra automorphisms for a finite-dimensional semisimple cosemisimple Hopf algebra over a field k was considered by Radford and Waterhouse. In this paper, the groups of Hopf algebra automorphisms for two classes of pointed Hopf algebras are determined. Note that the Hopf algebras we consider are not semisimple Hopf algebras.   相似文献

A New Cyclic Module for Hopf Algebras   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
We define a new cyclic module, dual to the Connes–Moscovici cocyclic module, for Hopf algebras, and give a characteristic map for coactions of Hopf algebras. We also compute the resulting cyclic homology for cocommutative Hopf algebras, and some quantum groups.  相似文献

Abstract

Integrals in Hopf algebras are an essential tool in studying finite dimensional Hopf algebras and their action on rings. Over fields it has been shown by Sweedler that the existence of integrals in a Hopf algebra is equivalent to the Hopf algebra being finite dimensional. In this paper we examine how much of this is true Hopf algebras over rings. We show that over any commutative ring R that is not a field there exists a Hopf algebra H over R containing a non-zero integral but not being finitely generated as R-module. On the contrary we show that Sweedler's equivalence is still valid for free Hopf algebras or projective Hopf algebras over integral domains. Analogously for a left H-module algebra A we study the influence of non-zero left A#H-linear maps from A to A#H on H being finitely generated as R-module. Examples and application to separability are given.  相似文献

In this paper we classify all nontrivial semisimple Hopf algebras of dimension 2 n +1 with the group of grouplikes isomorphic to 2 n–1×2. Moreover, we extend some results on irreducible representations from groups to semisimple Hopf algebras and prove that certain semisimple Hopf algebras, including the ones classified in this paper, satisfy the generalized power map property.  相似文献

While it was identified that the growth of any connected Hopf algebras is either a positive integer or infinite, we have yet to determine the Gelfand–Kirillov (GK) dimension of a given connected Hopf algebra. We use the notion of anti-cocommutative elements introduced in Wang, D. G., Zhang, J. J., Zhuang, G. (2013). Coassociative lie algebras. Glasgow Math. J. 55(A):195–215 to analyze the structure of connected Hopf algebras generated by anti-cocommutative elements and compute the GK dimension of said algebras. Additionally, we apply these results to compare global dimension of connected Hopf algebras and the dimension of their corresponding Lie algebras of primitive elements.  相似文献

We define an equivariant K 0-theory for Yetter–Drinfeld algebras over a Hopf algebra with an invertible antipode. We then show that this definition can be generalized to all Hopf-module algebras. We show that there exists a pairing, generalizing Connes pairing, between this theory and a suitably defined Hopf algebra equivariant cyclic cohomology theory.  相似文献

In this paper, we define the notion of self-dual graded weak Hopf algebra and self-dual semilattice graded weak Hopf algebra. We give characterization of finite-dimensional such algebras when they are in structually simple forms in the sense of E. L. Green and E. N. Morcos. We also give the definition of self-dual weak Hopf quiver and apply these types of quivers to classify the finite- dimensional self-dual semilattice graded weak Hopf algebras. Finally, we prove partially the conjecture given by N. Andruskiewitsch and H.-J. Schneider in the case of finite-dimensional pointed semilattice graded weak Hopf algebra H when grH is self-dual.  相似文献
