This paper presents a new method to analyze response of linear and nonlinear dynamical systems with time delay. The method proposes a continuous time approximation of the delayed portion of the response. This leads to a high and finite dimensional state space formulation of the time-delayed system. The advantage of the current method lies in that the resulting finite dimensional state equations are in the standard state space form, making all the existing analysis methods and control design tools for linear and nonlinear dynamical systems amenable to the current approach. The method can also handle multiple independent time delays in a natural way. One- and two-dimensional dynamical systems with time delay are used to demonstrate the effectiveness of the method.  相似文献

In this paper, the stochastic averaging method of quasi-non-integrable-Hamiltonian systems is applied to Duffing–van der Pol system to obtain partially averaged Ito stochastic differential equations. On the basis of the stochastic dynamical programming principle and the partially averaged Ito equation, dynamical programming equations for the reliability function and the mean first-passage time of controlled system are established. Then a non-linear stochastic optimal control strategy for coupled Duffing–van der Pol system subject to Gaussian white noise excitation is taken for investigating feedback minimization of first-passage failure. By averaging the terms involving control forces and replacing control forces by the optimal ones, the fully averaged Ito equation is derived. Thus, the feedback minimization for first-passage failure of controlled system can be obtained by solving the final dynamical programming equations. Numerical results for first-passage reliability function and mean first-passage time of the controlled and uncontrolled systems are compared in illustrative figures to show effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed method.  相似文献

探讨了一类非线性随机积分微分动力系统,并通过Banach不动点方法,给出了该系统零解均方渐近稳定的充要条件,形成了中立多变时滞Volterra型随机积分微分动力系统零解均方渐近稳定性定理。与前人的研究方法不同,该文根据多变时滞随机动力系统各时滞的特点,灵活构造算子,相比以往文献的方法更加灵活实用。文章的结论一定程度上改进和发展了相关研究论文的结果。另外,文章所得结论补充并推广了不动点方法在研究非线性中立多变时滞Volterra型随机积分微分动力系统零解稳定性方面的成果。  相似文献

This paper presents a procedure for predicting the response of Duffing system with delayed feedback bang–bang control under combined harmonic and real noise excitations by using the stochastic averaging method. First, the time-delayed feedback bang–bang control force is expressed approximately in terms of the system state variables without time delay. Then the averaged Itô stochastic differential equations for the system are derived by using the stochastic averaging method. Finally, the response of the system is obtained by solving the Fokker–Plank–Kolmogorov (FPK) equation associated with the averaged Itô equations. It is shown that the time delay in feedback control can deteriorate the control effectiveness and cause bifurcation of stochastic jump of Duffing system. The validity of the proposed method is confirmed by digital simulation.  相似文献

A numerical decomposition method proposed by Adomian provides solutions to nonlinear, or stochastic, continuous time systems without the usual restrictive restraints. It is applicable to differential, delay differential, integro-differential, and partial differential equations without the need for linearization or other restrictions. It also works through both uncoupled boundary conditions as well as delay systems. In the following paper, a new time discretization method for the development of a sample-data representation of a nonlinear continuous-time input-driven dynamical system is proposed. The proposed method is based on both the zero-order hold (ZOH) assumption as well as the Adomian Decomposition Method which exhibit unique algorithmic and computational advantages. To take advantage of this method, the following steps must be followed. First, the method is applied to a linear input-driven dynamical system to explicitly derive an exact sample-data representation, producing proper results. Second, the method is then applied to a nonlinear input-driven dynamical system, which thereby derives exact and approximate sample-data representations, the latter being most suited for practical applications. To evaluate the performance, the proposed discretization procedure was tested using simulations in a case study which involved an illustrative two-degree-of-freedom mechanical system that exhibited nonlinear behavior considering various control and input variable profiles. In conclusion, the suggested algorithm, in comparison to the results of a Taylor-Lie series expansion method, demonstrated increased performance and efficiency.  相似文献

Reduction of structural vibration in active controlled dynamical system is usually performed by means of convenient control forces dependent of the dynamic response. In this paper the existent studies will be extended to dynamical systems subjected to non-Gaussian random process accounting for the time delay involved in the application of active control actions. Control forces acting with time-delay effects will be expanded in Taylor series evaluating response statistics by means of the extended Itô differential rule to consider the effects of the non-normality of the input processes. Numerical application provided shows the feasibility of the proposed method to analyze stochastic dynamic systems with delayed actions under delta-correlated process contrasting statistics of response with estimates from Monte Carlo simulation.  相似文献

Given an unstable hybrid stochastic functional differential equation, how to design a delay feedback controller to make it stable? Some results have been obtained for hybrid systems with finite delay. However, the state of many stochastic differential equations are related to the whole history of the system, so it is necessary to discuss the feedback control of stochastic functional differential equations with infinite delay. On the other hand, in many practical stochastic models, the coefficients of these systems do not satisfy the linear growth condition, but are highly nonlinear. In this paper, the delay feedback controls are designed for a class of infinite delay stochastic systems with highly nonlinear and the influence of switching state.  相似文献

This paper presents a nonlinear, multi-phase and stochastic dynamical system according to engineering background. We show that the stochastic dynamical system exists a unique solution for every initial state. A stochastic optimal control model is constructed and the sufficient and necessary conditions for optimality are proved via dynamic programming principle. This model can be converted into a parametric nonlinear stochastic programming by integrating the state equation. It is discussed here that the local optimal solution depends in a continuous way on the parameters. A revised Hooke–Jeeves algorithm based on this property has been developed. Computer simulation is used for this paper, and the numerical results illustrate the validity and efficiency of the algorithm.  相似文献

The notion of random attractor for a dissipative stochastic dynamical system has recently been introduced. It generalizes the concept of global attractor in the deterministic theory. It has been shown that many stochastic dynamical systems associated to a dissipative partial differential equation perturbed by noise do possess a random attractor. In this paper, we prove that, as in the case of the deterministic attractor, the Hausdorff dimension of the random attractor can be estimated by using global Lyapunov exponents. The result is obtained under very natural assumptions. As an application, we consider a stochastic reaction-diffusion equation and show that its random attractor has finite Hausdorff dimension.  相似文献

This paper examines dynamical behavior of a nonlinear oscillator with a symmetric potential that models a quarter-car forced by the road profile. The primary, superharmonic and subharmonic resonances of a harmonically excited nonlinear quarter-car model with linear time delayed active control are investigated. The method of multiple scales is utilized to obtain first order approximation of response. We focus on the influence of delay in the system. This naturally gives rise to a delay deferential equation (DDE) model of the system. The effect of time delay and feedback gains of the steady state responses of primary, superharmonic and subharmonic resonances are investigated. By means of Melnikov technique, necessary condition for onset of chaos resulting from homoclinic bifurcation is derived analytically. We describe a method to identify the critical forcing function and time delay above which the system becomes unstable. It is found that proper selection of time-delay shows optimum dynamical behavior. The accuracy of the method is obtained from the fractal basin boundaries.  相似文献

In this study estimation of parameters and states in stochastic linear and nonlinear delay differential systems with time-varying coefficients and constant delay is explored. The approach consists of first employing a continuous time approximation to approximate the stochastic delay differential equation with a set of stochastic ordinary differential equations. Then the problem of parameter estimation in the resulting stochastic differential system is represented as an optimal filtering problem using a state augmentation technique. By adapting the extended Kalman–Bucy filter to the resulting system, the unknown parameters of the time-delayed system are estimated from noise-corrupted, possibly incomplete measurements of the states.  相似文献

Stochastic averaging principle is a powerful tool for studying qualitative analysis of multiscale stochastic dynamical systems. In this paper, we will establish an averaging principle for stochastic reaction‐diffusion‐advection equations with slow and fast time scales. Under suitable conditions, we show that the slow component strongly converges to the solution of the corresponding averaged equation.  相似文献

The present article focuses on the three topics related to the notions of "conserved quantities" and "symmetries" in stochastic dynamical systems described by stochastic differential equations of Stratonovich type. The first topic is concerned with the relation between conserved quantities and symmetries in stochastic Hamilton dynamical systems, which is established in a way analogous to that in the deterministic Hamilton dynamical theory. In contrast with this, the second topic is devoted to investigate the procedures to derive conserved quantities from symmetries of stochastic dynamical systems without using either the Lagrangian or Hamiltonian structure. The results in these topics indicate that the notion of symmetries is useful for finding conserved quantities in various stochastic dynamical systems. As a further important application of symmetries, the third topic treats the similarity method to stochastic dynamical systems. That is, it is shown that the order of a stochastic system can be reduced, if the system admits symmetries. In each topic, some illustrative examples for stochastic dynamical systems and their conserved quantities and symmetries are given.  相似文献

This paper deals with the exponential stability of hybrid stochastic delay interval systems (also known as stochastic delay interval systems with Markovian switching). The known results in this area (see, e.g., [X., Mao, Exponential stability of stochastic delay interval systems with Markovian switching, IEEE Trans. Automat. Control 47 (10) (2002) 1604-1612]) require the time delay to be a constant or a differentiable function and the main reason for such a restriction is due to the analysis of mathematics. The main aim of this paper is to remove this restriction to allow the time delay to be a bounded variable only. The Razumikhin method is developed to cope with the difficulty arisen from the nondifferentiability of the time delay.  相似文献

In this paper, we will study an indefinite stochastic linear quadratic optimal control problem, where the controlled system is described by a stochastic differential equation with delay. By introducing the relaxed compensator as a novel method, we obtain the well-posedness of this linear quadratic problem for indefinite case. And then, we discuss the uniqueness and existence of the solutions for a kind of anticipated forward–backward stochastic differential delayed equations. Based on this, we derive the solvability of the corresponding stochastic Hamiltonian systems, and give the explicit representation of the optimal control for the linear quadratic problem with delay in an open-loop form. The theoretical results are validated as well on the control problems of engineering and economics under indefinite condition.  相似文献

The interaction of toxic-phytoplankton-zooplankton systems and their dynamical behavior will be considered in this paper based upon nonlinear ordinary differential equation model system. We induced a discrete time delay to the both of the consume response function and distribution of toxic substance term to describe the delay in the conversion of nutrient consumed to species and the fact that the time required for the phytoplankton species to mature before they can produce toxic substances. We generalized the model in [1] and explicit results are derived for globally asymptotically stability of the boundary equilibrium. Using numerical simulation method, we determine there is a parameter range for the delay parameter τ where more complicated dynamics occurs, and this appears to be a new result. Significant outcomes of our numerical findings and their interpretations from ecological point of view are provided in this paper.  相似文献

In this paper, a new and effective direct method to determine the numerical solution of pantograph equation, pantograph equation with neutral term and Multiple-delay Volterra integral equation with large domain is proposed. The pantograph equation is a delay differential equation which arises in quite different fields of pure and applied mathematics, such as number theory, dynamical systems, probability, mechanics and electrodynamics. The method consists of expanding the required approximate solution as the elements of Chebyshev cardinal functions. The operational matrices for the integration, product and delay of the Chebyshev cardinal functions are presented. A general procedure for forming these matrices is given. These matrices play an important role in modelling of problems. By using these operational matrices together, a pantograph equation can be transformed to a system of algebraic equations. An efficient error estimation for the Chebyshev cardinal method is also introduced. Some examples are given to demonstrate the validity and applicability of the method and a comparison is made with existing results.  相似文献

In this paper, the problem of the robust stabilization for a class of uncertain linear dynamical systems with time-varying delay is considered. By making use of an algebraic Riccati equation, we derive some sufficient conditions for robust stability of time-varying delay dynamical systems with unstructured or structured uncertainties. In our approach, the only restriction on the delay functionh(t) is the knowledge of its upper boundh . Some analytical methods are employed to investigate these stability conditions. Since these conditions are independent of the delay, our results are also applicable to systems with perturbed time delay. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the use of the sufficient conditions developed in this paper.  相似文献
