   Abstract. Optimal control problems governed by semilinear parabolic partial differential equations are considered. No Cesari-type conditions are assumed. By proving the existence theorem and the Pontryagin maximum principle of optimal ``state-control" pairs for the corresponding relaxed problems, an existence theorem of optimal pairs for the original problem is established.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with maximization and minimization problems of the energy integral associated to p-Laplace equations depending on functions that belong to a class of rearrangements. We prove existence and uniqueness results, and present some features of optimal solutions. The radial case is discussed in detail. We also prove a result of uniqueness for a class of p-Laplace equations under non-standard assumptions.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a new differential variational inequality (DVI, for short) which is composed of an evolution equation and a variational inequality in infinite Banach spaces. This kind of problems may be regarded as a special feedback control problem. Based on the Browder's theorem and the optimal control theory, we show the existence of solutions to the mentioned problem.  相似文献

In this paper we examine optimal control problems governed by maximal monotone integrodifferential inclusions inR N . First we establish the existence of an optimal control. Then we show that the value of the problem depends continuously on a parameter appearing in all the data. Then we introduce the relaxed system, we show that under very general hypotheses it has a solution and that its value equals that of the original problem. Subsequently we show that relaxability and performance stability are equivalent concepts. The purpose of this paper is to propose and study a mathematical model and a boundary control problem associated to the miscible displacement of hydrogen through the porous anode of a PEM fuel cell. Throughout the paper, we study certain variational problems with a priori regularity properties of the weak solutions. We obtain the existence of less regular solutions and then we prove the desired regularity of these solutions. We consider a control problem that permits to determine the boundary distribution of the pressure which provides an optimal configuration for the temperature and for the concentration, as well. Since the solution of the problem is not unique, the control variable does not appear explicitly in the definition of our cost functional. To overcome this difficulty, we introduce a family of penalized control problems which approximates our boundary control problem. The necessary conditions of optimality are derived by passing to the limit in the penalized optimality conditions.  相似文献

In this article, some generalized multi-valued variational-like inequality problems and their related general auxiliary problems in real reflexive Banach spaces are introduced. An existence theorem for one of the general auxiliary problems is proved. Furthermore, by exploiting this theorem, an algorithm for the corresponding generalized multi-valued variational-like inequality problem is constructed. The theorems of this article generalize, improve and unify many known corresponding results.  相似文献

We apply a recently obtained three-critical-point theorem of B. Ricceri to prove the existence of at least three solutions of certain two-parameter Dirichlet problems defined on the Sierpinski gasket. We also show the existence of at least three nonzero solutions of certain perturbed two-parameter Dirichlet problems on the Sierpinski gasket, using both the mountain pass theorem of Ambrosetti and Rabinowitz and that of Pucci and Serrin.  相似文献

In this paper we study the asymptotic behaviour, as ε   tends to zero, of a class of boundary optimal control problems PεPε, set in ε-periodically perforated domain. The holes have a critical size with respect to ε  -sized mesh of periodicity. The support of controls is contained in the set of boundaries of the holes. This set is divided into two parts, on one part the controls are of Dirichlet type; on the other one the controls are of Neumann type. We show that the optimal controls of the homogenized problem can be used as suboptimal ones for the problems PεPε.  相似文献

We prove the existence of multiple solutions of certain systems of hemivariational inequalities, using a recent minimax result of B. Ricceri. We apply both our main theorem and the principle of symmetric criticality to obtain multiple solutions of systems of hemivariational inequalities defined on certain Sobolev spaces.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce and investigate a new class of mixed quasi-variational-like inequalities in reflexive Banach spaces. By applying a minimax inequality due to Ding–Tan and a lemma due to Chang, we establish some existence and uniqueness results of solution for the mixed quasi-variational-like inequality. Next, by using a KKM theorem due to Fan and an auxiliary principle technique due to Cohen, we suggest two iterative algorithms and study the convergence criteria of iterative sequences generated by the iterative algorithms. Our results extend, improve and unify several known results in the literature.  相似文献

The Tonelli existence theorem in the calculus of variations and its subsequent modifications were established for integrands f which satisfy convexity and growth conditions. In [27] we considered a class of optimal control problems which is identified with the corresponding complete metric space of integrands, say . We did not impose any convexity assumptions. The main result in [27] establishes that for a generic integrand the corresponding optimal control problem is well-posed. In this paper we study the set of all integrands for which the corresponding optimal control problem is well-posed. We show that the complement of this set is not only of the first category but also a -porous set. The main result of the paper is obtained as a realization of a variational principle which can be applied to various classes of optimization problems. We consider the optimal control of harvesting the diffusive degenerate elliptic logistic equation. Under certain assumptions, we prove the existence and uniqueness of an optimal control. Moreover, the optimality system and a characterization of the optimal control are also derived. The sub-supersolution method, the singular eigenvalue problem and differentiability with respect to the positive cone are the techniques used to obtain our results.  相似文献

Given a compact set we consider the differential inclusion We show how to use the main idea of the method of convex integration [ N], [G], [K] (to control convergence of the gradients of a sequence of approximate solutions by appropriate selection of the sequence) to obtain an optimal existence result. We compare this result with the ones available by the Baire category approach applied to the set of admissible functions with topology. A byproduct of our result is attainment in the minimization problems with integrands L having quasiaffine quasiconvexification that was, in fact, the reason of our interest to differential inclusions. This result can be considered as a first step towards characterization of those minimization problems which are solvable for all boundary data. This problem was solved in [S1] in the scalar case m=1. We consider a nonlinear antiplane problem which models the deformation of an elastic cylindrical body in frictional contact with a rigid foundation. The contact is modelled with Tresca’s law of dry friction in which the friction bound is slip dependent.The aim of this article is to study an optimal control problem which consists of leading the stress tensor as close as possible to a given target, by acting with a control on the boundary of the body. The existence of at least one optimal control is proved. Next we introduce a regularized problem, depending on a small parameter ρ, and we study the convergence of the optimal controls when ρ tends to zero. In this paper, we present a posteriori error analysis for hp finite element approximation of convex optimal control problems. We derive a new quasi-interpolation operator of Clément type and a new quasi-interpolation operator of Scott-Zhang type that preserves homogeneous boundary condition. The Scott-Zhang type quasi-interpolation is suitable for an application in bounding the errors in L2-norm. Then hp a posteriori error estimators are obtained for the coupled state and control approximations. Such estimators can be used to construct reliable adaptive finite elements for the control problems.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

The goal of this paper is to provide systematic approaches to study the feedback control systems governed by evolution equations in separable reflexive Banach spaces. We firstly give some existence results of mild solutions for the equations by applying the Banach's fixed point theorem and the Leray–Schauder alternative fixed point theorem with Lipschitz conditions and some types of boundedness conditions. Next, by using the Filippove theorem and the Cesari property, a new set of sufficient assumptions are formulated to guarantee the existence of feasible pairs for the feedback control systems. Some existence results for an optimal control problem are given. Finally, we apply our main result to obtain a controllability result for semilinear evolution equations and existence results for a class of differential variational inequalities and Clarke's subdifferential inclusions.  相似文献
