We study some algebraic properties of Toeplitz operators on the harmonic Dirichlet space of the unit disk. We first give a characterization for boundedness of Toeplitz operators. Next we characterize commuting Toeplitz operators. Also, we study the product problem of when product of two Toeplitz operators is another Toeplitz operator. In this paper the concept of asymptotic Toeplitz and asymptotic Hankel operators on the Bergman space are introduced and properties of these classes of operators are studied. The importance of this notion is that it associates with a class of operators a Toeplitz operator and with a class of operators a Hankel operator where the original operators are not even Toeplitz or Hankel. Thus it is possible to assign a symbol to an operator that is not Toeplitz or Hankel and hence a symbol calculus is obtained. Further a relation between Toeplitz operators and little Hankel operators on the Bergman space is established in some asymptotic sense.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the connection between compactness of operators on the Bergman space and the boundary behaviour of the corresponding Berezin transform. We prove that for a class of operators that we call radial operators, an oscillation criterion and diagonal are sufficient conditions under which the compactness of an operator is equivalent to the vanishing of the Berezin transform on the unit sphere. We further study a special class of radial operators, i.e., Toeplitz operators with a radial L 1(B n ) symbol.  相似文献

In this paper, we generalize the concept of asymptotic Hankel operators on H2(D) to the Hardy space H2(Dn) (over polydisk) in terms of asymptotic Hankel and partial asymptotic Hankel operators and investigate some properties in case of its weak and strong convergence. Meanwhile, we introduce ith-partial Hankel operators on H2(Dn) and obtain a characterization of its compactness for n > 1. Our main results include the containment of Toeplitz algebra in the collection of all strong partial asymptotic Hankel operators on H2(Dn). It is also shown that a Toeplitz operator with symbol φ is asymptotic Hankel if and only if φ is holomorphic function in L(Tn).  相似文献

In this paper we consider a special class of continuous bilinear operators acting in a product of Banach algebras of integrable functions with convolution product. In the literature, these bilinear operators are called ‘zero product preserving’, and they may be considered as a generalization of Lamperti operators. We prove a factorization theorem for this class, which establishes that each zero product preserving bilinear operator factors through a subalgebra of absolutely integrable functions. We obtain also compactness and summability properties for these operators under the assumption of some classical properties for the range spaces, as the Dunford–Pettis property or the Schur property and we give integral representations by some concavity properties of operators. Finally, we give some applications for integral transforms, and an integral representation for Hilbert–Schmidt operators.  相似文献

In this work, we study two operators that arise in electromagnetic scattering in chiral media. We first consider electromagnetic scattering by a chiral dielectric with a perfectly conducting core. We define a chiral Calderon‐type surface operator in order to solve the direct electromagnetic scattering problem. For this operator, we state coercivity and prove compactness properties. In order to prove existence and uniqueness of the problem, we define some other operators that are also related to the chiral Calderon‐type operator, and we state some of their properties that they and their linear combinations satisfy. Then we sketch how to use these operators in order to prove the existence of the solution of the direct scattering problem. Furthermore, we focus on the electromagnetic scattering problem by a perfect conductor in a chiral environment. For this problem, we study the chiral far‐field operator that is defined on a unit sphere and contains the far‐field data, and we state and prove some of its properties that are preliminaries properties for solving the inverse scattering problem.
