In this paper, we study the (α,β)-metrics of scalar flag curvature in the form of F = α + εβ + κβ^2/α (ε and k ≠ 0 are constants) and F = α^2/α-β. We prove that these two kinds of metrics are weak Berwaldian if and only if they are Berwaldian and their flag curvatures vanish. In this case, the metrics are locally Minkowskian.  相似文献

In this paper, we study an important class of (α,β)-metrics in the form F = (α+β)^m+1/α^m on an n-dimensional manifold and get the conditions for such metrics to be weakly- Berwald metrics, where α = √aij(x)y^iy^j is a Riemannian metric and β = bi(x)y^i is a 1-form and m is a real number with m ≠ -1,0,-1/n. Furthermore, we also prove that this kind of (α,β)-metrics is of isotropic mean Berwald curvature if and only if it is of isotropic S-curvature. In this case, S-curvature vanishes and the metric is weakly-Berwald metric.  相似文献

Let(M, F) be an n-dimensional Randers space with scalar flag curvature. In this paper, we will introduce the definition of a weak Einstein manifold. We can prove that if(M, F) is a weak Einstein manifold, then the flag curvature is constant.  相似文献

Let(M~n, g)(n ≥ 3) be an n-dimensional complete Riemannian manifold with harmonic curvature and positive Yamabe constant. Denote by R and R?m the scalar curvature and the trace-free Riemannian curvature tensor of M, respectively. The main result of this paper states that R?m goes to zero uniformly at infinity if for p ≥ n, the L~p-norm of R?m is finite. As applications, we prove that(M~n, g) is compact if the L~p-norm of R?m is finite and R is positive, and(M~n, g) is scalar flat if(M~n, g) is a complete noncompact manifold with nonnegative scalar curvature and finite L~p-norm of R?m. We prove that(M~n, g) is isometric to a spherical space form if for p ≥n/2, the L~p-norm of R?m is sufficiently small and R is positive. In particular, we prove that(M~n, g) is isometric to a spherical space form if for p ≥ n, R is positive and the L~p-norm of R?m is pinched in [0, C), where C is an explicit positive constant depending only on n, p, R and the Yamabe constant.  相似文献

Let M be a smooth manifold with Finsler metric F,and let T M be the slit tangent bundle of M with a generalized Riemannian metric G,which is induced by F.In this paper,we prove that (i) (M,F) is a Landsberg manifold if and only if the vertical foliation F V is totally geodesic in (T M,G);(ii) letting a:= a(τ) be a positive function of τ=F 2 and k,c be two positive numbers such that c=2 k(1+a),then (M,F) is of constant curvature k if and only if the restriction of G on the c-indicatrix bundle IM (c) is bundle-like for the horizontal Liouville foliation on IM (c),if and only if the horizontal Liouville vector field is a Killing vector field on (IM (c),G),if and only if the curvature-angular form Λ of (M,F) satisfies Λ=1-a 2/R on IM (c).  相似文献

We study a special class of Finsler metrics, namely,Matsumoto metrics F=α2α-β,whereαis a Riemannian metric andβis a 1-form on a manifold M.We prove that F is a(weak)Einstein metric if and only ifαis Ricci flat andβis a parallel 1-form with respect toα.In this case,F is Ricci flat and Berwaldian. As an application,we determine the local structure and prove the 3-dimensional rigidity theorem for a(weak)Einstein Matsumoto metric.  相似文献

The authors prove that a 3-dimensional small cover M is a Haken manifold if and only if M is aspherical or equivalently the underlying simple polytope is a flag polytope. In addition, they find that M being Haken is also equivalent to the existence of a Riemannian metric with non-positive sectional curvature on M.  相似文献

Some of the variation formulas of a metric were derived in the literatures by using the local coordinates system, In this paper, We give the first and the second variation formulas of the Riemannian curvature tensor, Ricci curvature tensor and scalar curvature of a metric by using the moving frame method. We establish a relation between the variation of the volume of a metric and that of a submanifold. We find that the latter is a consequence of the former. Finally we give an application of these formulas to the variations of heat invariants. We prove that a conformally flat metric g is a critical point of the third heat invariant functional for a compact 4-dimensional manifold M, then (M, g) is either scalar flat or a space form.  相似文献

Finsler空间上的Weyl曲率   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The Weyl curvature of a Finsler metric is investigated. This curvature constructed from Riemannain curvature. It is an important projective invariant of Finsler metrics. The author gives the necessary conditions on Weyl curvature for a Finsler metric to be Randers metric and presents examples of Randers metrics with non-scalar curvature. A global rigidity theorem for compact Finsler manifolds satisfying such conditions is proved. It is showed that for such a Finsler manifold,if Ricci scalar is negative, then Finsler metric is of Randers type.  相似文献

We determine a 2-codimensional para-CR structure on the slit tangent bundle T0 M of a Finsler manifold(M,F) by imposing a condition regarding the almost paracomplex structure P associated to F when restricted to the structural distribution of a framed para-f-structure.This condition is satisfied when(M,F) is of scalar flag curvature(particularly constant) or if the Riemannian manifold(M,g) is of constant curvature.  相似文献

In this paper we discuss the Einstein-Kahler metric on the third Cartan-Hartogs domain Y111(n, q; K). Firstly we get the complete Einstein Kahler metric with explicit form on Y111(n, q; K) in the case of K=q/2 + 1/q-1. Secondly we obtain the holomorphic sectional curvature under this metric and get the sharp estimate for this holomorphic curvature. Finally we prove that the complete Einstein-Kahler metric is equivalent to the Bergman metric on Y111(n, q; K) in case of K=q/2+1/q-1.  相似文献

In this paper, we study generalized Douglas–Weyl(α, β)-metrics. Suppose that a regular(α, β)-metric F is not of Randers type. We prove that F is a generalized Douglas–Weyl metric with vanishing S-curvature if and only if it is a Berwald metric. Moreover, by ignoring the regularity, if F is not a Berwald metric, then we find a family of almost regular Finsler metrics which is not Douglas nor Weyl. As its application, we show that generalized Douglas–Weyl square metric or Matsumoto metric with isotropic mean Berwald curvature are Berwald metrics.  相似文献

In this paper, the author considers a class of bounded pseudoconvex domains,i.e., the generalized Cartan-Hartogs domains Ω(μ, m). The first result is that the natural Khler metric g~(Ω(μ,m)) of Ω(μ, m) is extremal if and only if its scalar curvature is a constant. The second result is that the Bergman metric, the Ka¨hler-Einstein metric, the Carathéodary metric, and the Koboyashi metric are equivalent for Ω(μ, m).  相似文献

Let M be a n-dimension closed minimally immersed hypersurface in the unit sphere S~(n 1),and let h denote the second fundamental form of M.We denote the square of the length of h by S.Then we have S=n(n-1)-R,where R is the scalar curvature of M, which shows that S is intrinsic. In particular,S is constant if and only if M has constant scalar curvature.  相似文献

In this paper, we study a class of Finsler metrics in the form , where is a Riemannian metric, form, and ∈ and k≠0 are constants. We obtain a sufficient and necessary condition for F to be locally projectively flat and give the non-trivial special solutions. Moreover, it is proved that such projectively flat Finsler metrics with the constant flag curvature must be locally Minkowskian.  相似文献

In this paper,we study a new class of general(α,β)-metrics F defined by a Riemannian metric α,a 1-form β and C ∞ function φ(b2,s).We provide the projective factor of a class of general(α,β)-metrics F=αφ(b2,s),and apply these formulae to compute its flag curvature.  相似文献

By using curvature estimates, we prove that a complete non-compact hypersurface M with constant mean curvature and finite L^n-norm curvature in R^1+1 must be minimal, so that M is a hyperplane if it is strongly stable. This is a generalization of the result on stable complete minimal hypersurfaces of R^n+1. Moreover, complete strongly stable hypersurfaces with constant mean curvature and finite L^1-norm curvature in R^1+1 are considered.  相似文献

We derive the integral inequality of a Randers metric with isotropic S-curvature in terms of its navigation representation. Using the obtained inequality we give some rigidity results under the condition of Ricci curvature. In particular, we show the following result: Assume that an n-dimensional compact Randers manifold (M, F) has constant S-curvature c. Then (M, F) must be Riemannian if its Ricci curvature satisfies that Ric 〈 -(n - 1)c^2.  相似文献

Y-Riemannian metric gY is an important tool in Finsler geometry, where Y is a smooth non-zero vector field on Finsler manifold. If Y is a geodesic field, it is very effective to study flag curvature using Y-Riemann metric. In this paper, using a special Y-Riemann metric ( that is, so called v-Riemann metric ), we study hyperspheres in a Minkowski space and give some characteristics of hyperspheres in a Minkowski space.  相似文献
