In this paper, the existence and iterative approximation of coupled fixed points for mixed monotone condensing (set-valued) operators are discussed. The results presented here extend and improve the corresponding results of [D. Guo and V. Lakshmikantham, coupled fixed points of nonlinear operators [1, 2]. As an application, we utilize the results obtained in Section 2 to study the existence problem of solutions for a class of functional equations arising in dynamic programming.  相似文献

In this paper we demonstrate that the notion of coupled points developed in [29] for the variable endpoints variational problems is the analog of that of conjugate points when the endpoints are fixed. We provide weak and strong local optimality criteria using the strengthening of necessary conditions involving both the coupled points and the regularity concepts.This research was supported by a grant from NSERC Canada and a summer support from Michigan State University.  相似文献

In this paper, by the fixed point index theory, the number of fixed points for sublinear and asymptotically linear operators via two coupled parallel sub-super solutions is studied. Under suitable conditions, the existence of at least nine or seven distinct fixed points for sublinear and asymptotically linear operators is proved. We establish coupled coincidence point results for mixed g-monotone mappings under general contractive conditions in partially ordered cone metric spaces over solid cones. We also present results on existence and uniqueness of coupled common fixed points. Our results generalize, extend and unify several well known comparable results in the literature. The aim of this paper is to prove the existence of one or multiple solutions of nonlinear difference equations coupled to a general set of boundary conditions. Before to do this, we construct a discrete operator whose fixed points coincide with the solutions of the problem we are looking for. Moreover, we introduce a strong positiveness condition on the related Green's function that allows us to construct suitable cones where to apply adequate fixed point theorems. Once we have the general existence result, we deduce, as a particular case, the existence of solutions of a second order difference equation with nonlocal perturbed Dirichlet conditions.  相似文献

A coupled quasiparticle-oscillator system is considered for an arbitrary number of excitons. The exciton dynamics is described in terms of the second quantization (i.e. by means the bosonic operators). As a consequence a radius of a Bloch sphere is obtained different to the previous results. Some integrals of motion are obtained that allowed to reduce the system of equations of motion to a single nonlinear ordinary differential equation of the fourth order. This equation contains the energy of the system as a parameter. The fixed points are found as a functions of the energy of the system, and its stability properties are investigated. It is demonstrated that a bifurcation is presented for the energies H<−1/2p. An asymptotic quasiclassical solution around fixed point for the case H>−1/2p is obtained. The solutions around other stable fixed points can be obtained analogously. The expression for the evolution operator of the quasiparticle-oscillator system is obtained as a functional on the classical solutions.  相似文献

The problem of the harmonic sheat oscillations of an elastic strip, coupled to an elastic half-space is considered. Using the method of integral transformations, the problem is reduced to a singular integral equation in the contact stresses in the region where the strip and the half-space are coupled when there are two fixed singularities at points bounding the integration intervals. One of the main results of this paper is the method of solving this equation numerically, taking into account the true singularity of the solution and based on the use of special quadrature formulae for singular integrals. The approximate solution obtained provides the possibility of numerically investigating the effect of the oscillation frequency and the ratio of the elastic constants of the strip and the half-space on the stress distribution in the contact area.  相似文献

The numerical analysis of a dynamic constrained optimization problem is presented. It consists of a global minimization problem that is coupled with a system of ordinary differential equations. The activation and the deactivation of inequality constraints induce discontinuity points in the time evolution. A numerical method based on an operator splitting scheme and a fixed point algorithm is advocated. The ordinary differential equations are approximated by the Crank-Nicolson scheme, while a primal-dual interior-point method with warm-starts is used to solve the minimization problem. The computation of the discontinuity points is based on geometric arguments, extrapolation polynomials and sensitivity analysis. Second order convergence of the method is proved when an inequality constraint is activated. Numerical results for atmospheric particles confirm the theoretical investigations.  相似文献

We use the master stability formalism to discuss one- and two-cluster synchronization of coupled Tchebycheff map networks. For diffusively coupled map systems, the one-cluster synchronized dynamics is given by the behaviour of the individual maps, and the coupling only determines the stability of the coherent state. For the case of non-diffusive coupling and for two-cluster synchronization, the synchronized dynamics on networks is different from the behaviour of the single individual map. Depending on the coupling, we study numerically the characteristics of various forms of the resulting synchronized dynamics. The stability properties of the respective one-cluster synchronized states are discussed for arbitrary network structures. For the case of two-cluster synchronization on bipartite networks we also present analytical expressions for fixed points and zig-zag patterns, and explicitly determine the linear stability of these orbits for the special case of ring-networks.  相似文献

In terms of new fixed point and coupled fixed point theorems, we give some existance results of solutions for this new system of multivalued generalized order complementarity problems. Cycling behavior, in which solution trajectories linger around steady-states and periodic solutions, is known to be a generic feature of coupled cell systems of differential equations. In this type of systems, cycling behavior can even occur independently of the internal dynamics of each cell. This conclusion has lead to the discovery of "cycling chaos", in which solution trajectories cycle around symmetrically related chaotic sets. In this work, we demonstrate that cycling behavior also occurs in coupled systems of difference equations. More specifically, we prove the existence of structurally stable cycles between fixed points, and use numerical simulations to illustrate that the resulting cycles can also persist independently of the internal dynamics of each cell. Consequently, we demonstrate that cycles involving periodic orbits as well as cycling chaos also occur in systems of difference equations.  相似文献

This paper investigates a globally nonlocal coupled map lattice. A rigorous proof to the existence of chaos in the scene of Li–Yorke in that system is presented in terms of the Marotto theorem. Analytical sufficient conditions under which the system is chaotic, and has synchronous behaviors are determined, respectively. The wider regions associated with chaos and synchronous behaviors are shown by simulations. Spatiotemporal chaos, synchronous chaos and some other synchronous behaviors such as fixed points, 2-cycles and 22-cycles are also shown by simulations for some values of the parameters.  相似文献
