The study of weak solutions for systems of nonlinear partial differential equations of elliptic type with inclusions leads to a multivalued operator of superposition type in Sobolev spaces. We show that, under natural assumptions, this operator has the properties which allow to apply degree theory (fixed point index) for multivalued maps. More precisely, this operator is upper semicontinuous and compact with nonempty convex compact values. For the particular case of systems involving p-Laplacians, we show that there is a homeomorphism transforming the whole system to a situation for which a fixed point index is available.  相似文献

Let (Ω, A, μ) be a finite measure space and X a real separable Banach space. Measurability and integrability are defined for multivalued functions on Ω with values in the family of nonempty closed subsets of X. To present a theory of integrals, conditional expectations, and martingales of multivalued functions, several types of spaces of integrably bounded multivalued functions are formulated as complete metric spaces including the space L1(Ω; X) isometrically. For multivalued functions in these spaces, multivalued conditional expectations are introduced, and the properties possessed by the usual conditional expectation are obtained for the multivalued conditional expectation with some modifications. Multivalued martingales are also defined, and their convergence theorems are established in several ways.  相似文献

This paper analyzes the existence and uniqueness issues in a class of multivalued Lur’e systems, where the multivalued part is represented as the subdifferential of some convex, proper, lower semicontinuous function. Through suitable transformations the system is recast into the framework of dynamic variational inequalities and the well-posedness (existence and uniqueness of solutions) is proved. Stability and invariance results are also studied, together with the property of continuous dependence on the initial conditions. The problem is motivated by practical applications in electrical circuits containing electronic devices with nonsmooth multivalued voltage/current characteristics, and by state observer design for multivalued systems.  相似文献

Applications of the fixed point theory of multivalued maps can be classified into several areas: (1) Game theory and mathematical economics; (2) Discontinuous differential equations, differential inclusions, and optimal control; (3) Computing homology of maps; (4) Computer assisted proofs in dynamics; (5) Digital imaging. We give an overview of the most classical and well developed areas of applications (1) and (2), where a multivalued map is used as a generalization of a single-valued continuous map, and we survey more recent applications (3), (4), and (5), where multivalued maps play the role of a numerical tool. A multivalued version of the celebrated Sharkovskii theorem is established which is applicable to differential equations and inclusions for obtaining subharmonic periodic solutions. We consider a control system described by an evolution equation with control constraint which is a multivalued mapping of a phase variable with closed nonconvex values. One of the evolution operators of the system is the subdifferential of a time-dependent proper, convex, and lower semicontinuous function. The other operator, acting on the derivative of the required functions, is the subdifferential of a convex continuous function. We also consider systems with the following control constraints: multivalued mappings whose values are the closed convex hulls of the values of the original constraint and multivalued mapping whose values are the extreme points of the convexified constraint that belong to the original one. We study topological properties of the sets of admissible “trajectory–control” pairs of the system with various control constraints and clarify the relations between them. An example of a parabolic system with hysteresis and diffusion phenomena is considered in detail. Bibliography: 19 titles.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the study of existence theorems for multivalued differential systems in infinite-dimensional Banach space: the method used is based on techniques (extension theorem for linear operator, compactly convergent sequences) developed earlier by the authors for multivalued differential systems defined inn-dimensional vector spaces. We introduce the concept of multivalued random dynamical system (MRDS) as a measurable multivalued flow satisfying the cocycle property. We show how this is a suitable framework for the study of the asymptotic behaviour of some multivalued stochastic parabolic equations by generalizing the concept of global random attractor to the case of a MRDS.  相似文献

For bicompact X, the topology of uniform convergence on C(X) coincides with the Vietoris topology on the function graphs. The Vietoris topology on C(X) in turn is generated by the Hausdorff uniformity which is complete only for finite X. The supplement CH(X) of the space C(X) with respect to the Hausdorff uniformity consists of lower semi-continuous multivalued mappings Φ : X → ℝ with compact fibers. The paper studies the spaces CH(X) in the spaces of multivalued mappings. It is proved that CH(X) is a Q-manifold provided that X is a Peano continuum. This work presents multivalued chaotic synchronization via coupling based on the Poincaré plane. The coupling is carried out by an underdamped signal, triggered every crossing event of the trajectory of the master system through a previously defined Poincaré plane. A master–slave system is explored, and the synchronization between the systems is detected via the auxiliary system approach and the maximum conditional Lyapunov exponent. Due to the response to specific conditions two phenomena may be obtained: univalued and multivalued synchronization. Since the Lyapunov exponent is not enough to detect these two phenomena, the distance between the pieces of trajectories of the slave and auxiliary systems with different initial conditions is also used as a tool for the detection of multivalued synchronization. Computer simulations using the benchmark chaotic systems of Lorenz and Rössler are used to exemplify the approach proposed.  相似文献

In this paper, a class of new derivatives of multivalued functions on a time scale, called the Hukuhara-Hilger derivative, suited to our study of multivalued dynamic equations is developed. Moreover, some corresponding properties of the Hukuhara-Hilger derivative are discussed. The proposed approach forms the appropriate environment within which the study of multivalued dynamic inclusions on time scales can be developed. Fractals and multivalued fractals play an important role in biology, quantum mechanics, computer graphics, dynamical systems, astronomy and astrophysics, geophysics, etc. Especially, there are important consequences of the iterated function (or multifunction) systems theory in several topics of applied sciences. It is known that examples of fractals and multivalued fractals are coming from fixed point theory for single-valued and multivalued operators, via the so-called fractal and multi-fractal operators. On the other hand, the most common setting for the study of fractals and multi-fractals is the case of operators on complete or compact metric spaces. The purpose of this paper is to extend the study of fractal operator theory for multivalued operators on complete b-metric spaces.  相似文献

We define an index of Conley type for a certain class of upper semicontinuous multivalued dynamical systems. We use the Szymczak functor and apply techniques introduced by Reineck, Mrozek and Srzednicki for the index over the base. Moreover we introduce the notion of the homotopy partial functor for the usc maps. We show that the index possesses Wa?ewski and homotopy properties. We also give four examples that exhibit the benefits of our index over the cohomological index defined by Mrozek and Kaczyński.  相似文献

In this paper we introduce a class of maps possessing a multivalued homotopy lifting property with respect to every topological space. We call these maps multifibrations and they represent a formally stronger concept than that of shape fibration. Multifibrations have the interesting property of being characterized in a completely intrinsic way by a path lifting property involving only the total and the base space of the fibration. We also show that multifibrations (and also, with some restrictions, shape fibrations) have a lifting property for homotopies of fine multivalued maps. This implies, when the spaces considered are metric compacta, that the possibility of lifting a fine multivalued map is a property of the corresponding strong shape morphism and not of the particular map considered.  相似文献

Using some techniques of perturbation theory for quotient morphisms between Banach spaces we obtain necessary and sufficient conditions for the stability of the topological index of a q-open quotient morphism under small (with respect to the gap topology) perturbations with quotient morphisms. As an application we obtain necessary and sufficient conditions for the stability of the topological index of an open linear relation with closed multivalued part between normed spaces under small perturbations with linear relations.  相似文献
