When approximation order is an odd positive integer, a simple method is given to construct compactly supported orthogonal symmetric complex scaling function with dilation factor 3. Two corresponding orthogonal wavelets, one is symmetric and the other is antisymmetric about origin, are constructed explicitly. Additionally, when approximation order is an even integer 2, we also give a method to construct compactly supported orthogonal symmetric complex wavelets. In the end, there are several examples that illustrate the corresponding results.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with multivariate refinement equations of the type where (?) is the unknown function defined on the s-dimensional Euclidean space Rs, a is a finitely supported nonnegative sequence on Zs, and M is an s×s dilation matrix with m := |detM|. We characterize the existence of L2-solution of refinement equation in terms of spectral radius of a certain finite matrix or transition operator associated with refinement mask a and dilation matrix M. For s = 1 and M = 2, the sufficient and necessary conditions are obtained to characterize the existence of continuous solution of this refinement equation.  相似文献

Generalizing wavelets by adding desired redundancy and flexibility,framelets(i.e.,wavelet frames)are of interest and importance in many applications such as image processing and numerical algorithms.Several key properties of framelets are high vanishing moments for sparse multiscale representation,fast framelet transforms for numerical efficiency,and redundancy for robustness.However,it is a challenging problem to study and construct multivariate nonseparable framelets,mainly due to their intrinsic connections to factorization and syzygy modules of multivariate polynomial matrices.Moreover,all the known multivariate tight framelets derived from spline refinable scalar functions have only one vanishing moment,and framelets derived from refinable vector functions are barely studied yet in the literature.In this paper,we circumvent the above difficulties through the approach of quasi-tight framelets,which behave almost identically to tight framelets.Employing the popular oblique extension principle(OEP),from an arbitrary compactly supported M-refinable vector functionφwith multiplicity greater than one,we prove that we can always derive fromφa compactly supported multivariate quasi-tight framelet such that:(i)all the framelet generators have the highest possible order of vanishing moments;(ii)its associated fast framelet transform has the highest balancing order and is compact.For a refinable scalar functionφ(i.e.,its multiplicity is one),the above item(ii)often cannot be achieved intrinsically but we show that we can always construct a compactly supported OEP-based multivariate quasi-tight framelet derived fromφsatisfying item(i).We point out that constructing OEP-based quasi-tight framelets is closely related to the generalized spectral factorization of Hermitian trigonometric polynomial matrices.Our proof is critically built on a newly developed result on the normal form of a matrix-valued filter,which is of interest and importance in itself for greatly facilitating the study of refinable vector functions and multiwavelets/multiframelets.This paper provides a comprehensive investigation on OEP-based multivariate quasi-tight multiframelets and their associated framelet transforms with high balancing orders.This deepens our theoretical understanding of multivariate quasi-tight multiframelets and their associated fast multiframelet transforms.  相似文献

Frame Wavelets with Compact Supports for L^2(R^n)   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The construction of frame wavelets with compact supports is a meaningful problem in wavelet analysis. In particular, it is a hard work to construct the frame wavelets with explicit analytic forms. For a given n × n real expansive matrix A, the frame-sets with respect to A are a family of sets in R^n. Based on the frame-sets, a class of high-dimensional frame wavelets with analytic forms are constructed, which can be non-bandlimited, or even compactly supported. As an application, the construction is illustrated by several examples, in which some new frame wavelets with compact supports are constructed. Moreover, since the main result of this paper is about general dilation matrices, in the examples we present a family of frame wavelets associated with some non-integer dilation matrices that is meaningful in computational geometry.  相似文献

Biorthogonal multiple wavelets are generated from refinable function vectors by using the multiresolution analysis.In this paper we provide a general method for the construction of compactly supported biorthogonal multiple wavelets by refinable function vectors which are the solutions of vector refinement equations of the form (?)(x)=(?)a(α)(?)(Mx-α),x∈R~s, where the vector of functions(?)=((?)_1,...,(?)_r)~T is in(L_2(R~s))~r,a=:(a(α))_(α∈Z~s)is a finitely supported sequence of r×r matrices called the refinement mask,and M is an s×s integer matrix such that lim_(n→∞)M~(-n)=0.Our characterizations are in the general setting and the main results of this paper are the real extensions of some known results.  相似文献

Based on the work of Constantine, Waal, Shah, Khatri, and Muirhead, we have made furtherstudies on the expected values of zonal polynomials and elementary symmetric functions of a Wishartmatrix in this paper. Under certain conditions, we found the expected values of zonal polynomialsand elementary symmetric functions of matrix X'X, where the matrix X has matrix ellipticallycontoured distribution and obtain two interesting results. This paper provides several constructions of compactly supported wavelets generated by interpolatory refinable functions. It was shown in [7] that there is no real compactly supported orthonormal symmetric dyadic refinable function, except the trivial case; and also shown in [10,18] that there is no compactly supported interpolatory orthonormal dyadic refinable function. Hence, for the dyadic dilation case, compactly supported wavelets generated by interpolatory refinable functions have to be biorthogonal wavelets. The key step to construct the biorthogonal wavelets is to construct a compactly supported dual function for a given interpolatory refinable function. We provide two explicit iterative constructions of such dual functions with desired regularity. When the dilation factors are larger than 3, we provide several examples of compactly supported interpolatory orthonormal symmetric refinable functions from a general method. This leads to several examples of orthogonal symmetric (anti‐symmetric) wavelets generated by interpolatory refinable functions. 基于仿酉矩阵的对称扩充方法,该文提出了一种尺度因子为3的紧支撑高维正交对称小波构造算法.即设φ(x)∈L~2(R~d)是尺度因子为3的紧支撑d维正交对称尺度函数,P(ξ)是它的两尺度符号,p_(0,v)(ξ)为P(ξ)的相位符号.首先提出一种向量的对称正交变换,应用对称正交变换对3~d维向量(p_(0,v)(ξ))_v,v∈E_d的分量进行对称化.通过仿酉矩阵的对称扩充,给出了3~d-1个紧支撑高维正交对称小波构造.这种方法构造的小波支撑不超过尺度函数的支撑.最后给出一个构造算例.  相似文献

Let \(A \in \mathbb {R}^{d \times d}\), \(d \ge 1\) be a dilation matrix with integer entries and \(| \det A|=2\). We construct several families of compactly supported Parseval framelets associated to A having any desired number of vanishing moments. The first family has a single generator and its construction is based on refinable functions associated to Daubechies low pass filters and a theorem of Bownik. For the construction of the second family we adapt methods employed by Chui and He and Petukhov for dyadic dilations to any dilation matrix A. The third family of Parseval framelets has the additional property that we can find members of that family having any desired degree of regularity. The number of generators is \(2^d+d\) and its construction involves some compactly supported refinable functions, the Oblique Extension Principle and a slight generalization of a theorem of Lai and Stöckler. For the particular case \(d=2\) and based on the previous construction, we present two families of compactly supported Parseval framelets with any desired number of vanishing moments and degree of regularity. None of these framelet families have been obtained by means of tensor products of lower-dimensional functions. One of the families has only two generators, whereas the other family has only three generators. Some of the generators associated with these constructions are even and therefore symmetric. It is well known that in the univariate case, up to an integer shift and possible sign change, there is no dyadic compactly supported symmetric orthonormal scaling function except for the Haar function. In this paper we are concerned with the construction of symmetric orthonormal scaling functions with dilation factor d=4. Several examples of such orthonormal scaling functions are provided in this paper. In particular, two examples of C 1 orthonormal scaling functions, which are symmetric about 0 and 1/6, respectively, are presented. We will then discuss how to construct symmetric wavelets from these scaling functions. We explicitly construct the corresponding orthonormal symmetric wavelets for all the examples given in this paper.
