Using the methods of dynamical systems for the (n + 1)-dimensional multiple sine-Gordon equation, the existences of uncountably infinite many periodic wave solutions and breaking bounded wave solutions are obtained. For the double sine-Gordon equation, the exact explicit parametric representations of the bounded traveling solutions are given. To guarantee the existence of the above solutions, all parameter conditions are determined. We focus on investigating a generic two-dimensional sine-Gordon equation in nonlinear optics. Based on a viable transformation, the bifurcation analysis of the equation is carried out in this paper. We obtain exact solutions U(x, y, z, t) of the three-dimensional sine-Gordon equation in a form that Lamb previously proposed for integrating the two-dimensional sine-Gordon equation. The three-dimensional solutions depend on arbitrary functions F(α) and ϕ(α,β), whose arguments are some functions α(x, y, z, t) and β(x, y, z, t). The ansatzes must satisfy certain equations. These are an algebraic system of equations in the case of one ansatz. In the case of two ansatzes, the system of algebraic equations is supplemented by first-order ordinary differential equations. The resulting solutions U(x, y, z, t) have an important property, namely, the superposition principle holds for the function tan(U/4). The suggested approach can be used to solve the generalized sine-Gordon equation, which, in contrast to the classical equation, additionally involves first-order partial derivatives with respect to the variables x, y, z, and t, and also to integrate the sinh-Gordon equation. This paper presents a new algebraic procedure to construct exact solutions of selected nonlinear differential-difference equations. The discrete sine-Gordon equation and differential-difference asymmetric Nizhnik-Novikov-Veselov equations are chosen as examples to illustrate the efficiency and effectiveness of the new procedure, where various types of exact travelling wave solutions for these nonlinear differential-difference equations have been constructed. It is anticipated that the new procedure can also be used to produce solutions for other nonlinear differential-difference equations.  相似文献

Recently, we have presented a sine-Gordon expansion method to construct new exact solutions of a wide of continuous nonlinear evolution equations. In this paper we further develop the method to be the discrete sine-Gordon expansion method in nonlinear differential-difference equations, in particular, discrete soliton equations. We choose the modified Volterra lattice and Volterra lattice equation to illustrate the new method such as many types of new exact solutions are obtained. Moreover some figures display the profiles of the obtained solutions. Our method can be also applied to other discrete soliton equations.  相似文献

Zhou and Tian [J.B. Zhou, L.X. Tian, A type of bounded travelling wave solutions for the Fornberg-Whitham equation, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 346 (2008) 255-261] successfully found a type of bounded travelling wave solutions of the Fornberg-Whitham equation. In this paper, we improve the previous result by using the phase portrait analytical technology. Moreover, some smooth periodic wave, smooth solitary wave, periodic cusp wave and loop-soliton solutions are given, and the numerical simulation is made. The results show that our theoretical analysis agrees with the numerical simulation.  相似文献

Summary We give a complete classification of the small-amplitude finite-gap solutions of the sine-Gordon (SG) equation on an interval under Dirichlet or Neumann boundary conditions. Utilizing the methods of dynamical system theory, the Dullin-Gottwald-Holm equation is studied in this paper. The dynamical behaviors of the traveling wave solutions and their bifurcations are presented in different parameter regions. Furthermore, the exact explicit forms of all possible bounded solutions, such as solitary wave solutions, periodic wave solutions and breaking loop wave solutions are obtained.  相似文献

In this paper, we establish new solitary wave solutions to the modified Kawahara equation by the sine-cosine method. Moreover, the periodic solutions and bell-shaped solitons solutions to the generalized fifth-order KdV equation are obtained. The tanh method is used to handle the double sine-Gordon equation and the double sinh-Gordon equation. Families of exact travelling wave solutions are formally derived. The rational triangle sine-cosine method is introduced and to be constructed complex solutions to the modified Degasperis-Procesi (DP) equation and the modified Camassa-Holm (CH) equation.  相似文献

The nonlinear sine-Gordon equation arises in various problems in science and engineering. In this paper, we propose a numerical model based on lattice Boltmann method to obtain the numerical solutions of two-dimensional generalized sine-Gordon equation, including damped and undamped sine-Gordon equation. By choosing properly the conservation condition between the macroscopic quantity $u_t$ and the distribution functions and applying the Chapman-Enskog expansion, the governing equation is recovered correctly from the lattice Boltzmann equation. Moreover, the local equilibrium distribution function is obtained. The numerical results of the first three examples agree well with the analytic solutions, which indicates the lattice Boltzmann model is satisfactory and efficient. Numerical solutions for cases involving the most known from the bibliography line and ring solitons are given. Numerical experiments also show that the present scheme has a good long-time numerical behavior for the generalized sine-Gordon equation. Moreover, the model can also be applied to other two-dimensional nonlinear wave equations, such as nonlinear hyperbolic telegraph equation and Klein-Gordon equation.  相似文献

The bounded traveling wave solutions of a generalized Camassa-Holm-Novikov equation with $p=2$ and $p=3$ are derived via the dynamical system approach. The singular wave solutions including peakons and cuspons are obtained by the bifurcation analysis of the corresponding singular dynamical system and the orbits intersecting with or approaching the singular lines. The results show that the generalized Camassa-Holm-Novikov equation with $p=2$ and $p=3$ both admit smooth solitary wave, smooth periodic wave solutions, solitary peakons, periodic peakons, solitary cuspons and periodic cuspons as well. It is worth pointing out that the Novikov equation has no bounded traveling wave solutions with negative wave speed, but has a family of new periodic cuspons which are distinguished with the normal periodic cuspons for their discontinuous first-order derivatives at both maximum and minimum.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to reveal the dynamical behavior of the nonlinear wave equation with fifth-order nonlinear term, and provides its bounded traveling wave solutions. Applying the bifurcation theory of planar dynamical systems, we depict phase portraits of the traveling wave system corresponding to this equation under various parameter conditions. Through discussing the bifurcation of phase portraits, we obtain all explicit expressions of solitary wave solutions and kink wave solutions. Further, we investigate the relation between the bounded orbit of the traveling wave system and the energy level h. By analyzing the energy level constant h, we get all possible periodic wave solutions.  相似文献
