对求解无约束规划的超记忆梯度算法中线搜索方向中的参数,给了一个假设条件,从而确定了它的一个新的取值范围,保证了搜索方向是目标函数的充分下降方向,由此提出了一类新的记忆梯度算法.在去掉迭代点列有界和Armijo步长搜索下,讨论了算法的全局收敛性,且给出了结合形如共轭梯度法FR,PR,HS的记忆梯度法的修正形式.数值实验表明,新算法比Armijo线搜索下的FR、PR、HS共轭梯度法和超记忆梯度法更稳定、更有效.  相似文献

Conjugate gradient optimization algorithms depend on the search directions with different choices for the parameter in the search directions. In this note, conditions are given on the parameter in the conjugate gradient directions to ensure the descent property of the search directions. Global convergence of such a class of methods is discussed. It is shown that, using reverse modulus of continuity function and forcing function, the new method for solving unconstrained optimization can work for a continuously differentiable function with a modification of the Curry-Altman‘s step-size rule and a bounded level set. Combining PR method with our new method, PR method is modified to have global convergence property.Numerical experiments show that the new methods are efficient by comparing with FR conjugate gradient method.  相似文献

Conjugate gradient optimization algorithms depend on the search directions.with different choices for the parameters in the search directions.In this note,by combining the nice numerical performance of PR and HS methods with the global convergence property of the class of conjugate gradient methods presented by HU and STOREY(1991),a class of new restarting conjugate gradient methods is presented.Global convergences of the new method with two kinds of common line searches,are proved .Firstly,it is shown that,using reverse modulus of continuity funciton and forcing function,the new method for solving unconstrained optimization can work for a continously differentiable function with Curry-Altman‘s step size rule and a bounded level set .Secondly,by using comparing technique,some general convergence propecties of the new method with other kind of step size rule are established,Numerical experiments show that the new method is efficient by comparing with FR conjugate gradient method.  相似文献

In this paper, a new steplength formula is proposed for unconstrained optimization,which can determine the step-size only by one step and avoids the line search step. Global convergence of the five well-known conjugate gradient methods with this formula is analyzed,and the corresponding results are as follows:(1) The DY method globally converges for a strongly convex LC~1 objective function;(2) The CD method, the FR method, the PRP method and the LS method globally converge for a general, not necessarily convex, LC~1 objective function.  相似文献

This article proposes new conjugate gradient method for unconstrained optimization by applying the Powell symmetrical technique in a defined sense. Using the Wolfe line search conditions, the global convergence property of the method is also obtained based on the spectral analysis of the conjugate gradient iteration matrix and the Zoutendijk condition for steepest descent methods. Preliminary numerical results for a set of 86 unconstrained optimization test problems verify the performance of the algorithm and show that the Generalized Descent Symmetrical Hestenes-Stiefel algorithm is competitive with the Fletcher-Reeves (FR) and Polak-Ribiére-Polyak (PRP+) algorithms.  相似文献

In this paper, we are concerned with the conjugate gradient methods for solving unconstrained optimization problems. It is well-known that the direction generated by a conjugate gradient method may not be a descent direction of the objective function. In this paper, we take a little modification to the Fletcher–Reeves (FR) method such that the direction generated by the modified method provides a descent direction for the objective function. This property depends neither on the line search used, nor on the convexity of the objective function. Moreover, the modified method reduces to the standard FR method if line search is exact. Under mild conditions, we prove that the modified method with Armijo-type line search is globally convergent even if the objective function is nonconvex. An efficient descent method for unconstrained optimization problems is line search method in which the step size is required to choose at each iteration after a descent direction is determined. There are many ways to choose the step sizes, such as the exact line search, Armijo line search, Goldstein line search, and Wolfe line search, etc. In this paper we propose a new inexact line search for a general descent method and establish some global convergence properties. This new line search has many advantages comparing with other similar inexact line searches. Moreover, we analyze the global convergence and local convergence rate of some special descent methods with the new line search. Preliminary numerical results show that the new line search is available and efficient in practical computation.  相似文献

In this article, we consider the global convergence of the Polak–Ribiére–Polyak conjugate gradient method (abbreviated PRP method) for minimizing functions that have Lipschitz continuous partial derivatives. A novel form of non-monotone line search is proposed to guarantee the global convergence of the PRP method. It is also shown that the PRP method has linear convergence rate under some mild conditions when the non-monotone line search reduces to a related monotone line search. The new non-monotone line search needs to estimate the Lipschitz constant of the gradients of objective functions, for which two practical estimations are proposed to help us to find a suitable initial step size for the PRP method. Numerical results show that the new line search approach is efficient in practical computation.  相似文献

Conjugate gradient method is one of successful methods for solving the unconstrained optimization problems. In this paper, absorbing the advantages of FR and CD methods, a hybrid conjugate gradient method is proposed. Under the general Wolfe linear searches, the proposed method can generate the sufficient descent direction at each iterate,and its global convergence property also can be established. Some preliminary numerical results show that the proposed method is effective and stable for the given test problems.  相似文献
