著名的Yau 猜想断言单位球面中的紧致嵌入极小超曲面的Laplace 算子的第一特征值等于其维数. 近年来有许多几何学家致力于对Yau 猜想的研究, 但是到目前为止, 已有的结论只是一些关于第一特征值估计的不等式. 作为本文的一个主要结果, 本文证明了对于单位球面中的等参极小超曲面,Yau 猜想是正确的. 进一步地, 对于等参超曲面的焦流形(实际上是球面的极小子流形), 本文还证明了在一定维数条件下, 它的第一特征值也是其维数.
作为本文的第二个主要结果, 以著名的Schoen-Yau-Gromov-Lawson 的关于数量曲率的手术理论为出发点, 本文在一个Riemann 流形的嵌入超曲面处作手术, 构造了一个新的具有丰富几何性质的流形, 称为double 流形. 特别地, 本文在单位球面的极小等参超曲面处实行了这一手术, 发现得到的double 流形不仅有很复杂的拓扑(但其示性类有精确描述), 还存在数量曲率为正的度量, 更重要的是保持了等参叶状结构.
比Willmore 曲面更广泛的定义是Willmore 子流形, 即Willmore 泛函在球面中的的极值子流形.单位球面中的Willmore 子流形的例子在已有文献中是非常罕见的. 作为本文的另外两个主要结果, 通过深入挖掘单位球面上的OT-FKM- 型等参函数的焦流形的性质, 本文发现其极大值对应的焦流形是单位球面的一系列Willmore 子流形; 之后, 本文用几何办法统一证明了单位球面中具有4 个不同主曲率的等参超曲面的焦流形都是单位球面的Willmore 子流形. 这些新的Willmore 子流形是极小的,但一般不是Einstein 的.  相似文献

Gabor分析中几个著名的基本定理(如对偶原理和稠密性定理)与群表示和算子代数理论密切相连.尽管时频分析与算子代数之间的某些联系是Jon von Neumann于1930年代建立的,可是它们在近期得到广泛研究,这主要应归于小波/Gabor理论或更一般的框架理论近二十年的发展.本文将讨论过去几年得到的一些主要结果,同时也给出一些新的结果、解释和问题,我们主要考虑来源于时频分析并能反映与群表示理论存在内在联系的那些结果.特别地,针对群表示的时频分析,将详细说明抽象的对偶原理及其与算子代数理论中几个公开问题的联系.  相似文献

We generalize the concept of affine locally symmetric spaces for parabolic geometries. We discuss mainly |1|-graded geometries and we show some restrictions on their curvature coming from the existence of symmetries. We use the theory of Weyl structures to discuss more interesting |1|-graded geometries which can carry a symmetry in a point with nonzero curvature. More concretely, we discuss the number of different symmetries which can exist at the point with nonzero curvature.  相似文献

In this paper, we are going to study the capacity theory and exceptionality of hyperfinite Dirichlet forms. We shall introduce positive measures of hyperfinite energy integrals and associated theory. Fukushima's decomposition theorem will be established on the basis of discussing hyperfinite additive functionals and hyperfinite measures. We shall study the properties of internal multiplicative functionals, subordinate semigroups and subprocesses. In this paper we shall discuss a weighted curvature flow for a regular curve in the 2D Euclidean space. The weighted curvature flow for planar curves is a generalization of the well-known curvature flow discussed by Gage, Hamilton and Grayson. Under a suitable weighted curvature flow, convex curves will remain convex in the deformation process. However, the curve may not converge to a round point for general weights. Indeed, for a nonnegative weight function ω(u) with k isolated zeros, a curve will converge to a limiting k-polygon. The weighted curvature flow will have many useful properties which have applications to image processing. We shall also present some numerical simulations to illustrate how curves deform under the weighted curvature flow with different weight functions ω(u). Moreover, our algorithm is very effective and stable. The approximation of higher derivatives in our new algorithm only involve in the neighboring points.  相似文献

In this paper, we study complete noncompact Riemannian manifolds with Ricci curvature bounded from below. When the Ricci curvature is nonnegative, we show that this kind of manifolds are diffeomorphic to a Euclidean space, by assuming an upper bound on the radial curvature and a volume growth condition of their geodesic balls. When the Ricci curvature only has a lower bound, we also prove that such a manifold is diffeomorphic to a Euclidean space if the radial curvature is bounded from below. Moreover, by assuming different conditions and applying different methods, we shall prove more results on Riemannian manifolds with large volume growth.  相似文献

The motion of surfaces by their mean curvature has been studied by several authors from different points of view. K. A. Brake studied this problem from the geometric measure theory point of view, the parametric problem was studied by G. Huisken [5]. Nonparametric mean curavture flow with boundary conditions was studied in [6] and [7]. Rotationally symmetric mean curvature flows have been treated by G. Dziuk, B. Kawohl [3], but also by S. Altschuler, S. B. Angenent and Y. Giga [2]. In this paper we consider the case in which the initial surface has rotational symmetry and we shall generalize the results in [3] in the sense that we shall give more general boundary conditions which enforce the formation of a singularity in finite time. Motivated by a practical problem on a corrosion process, we shall study a third kind of BVP for a large class of elliptic equations in vector-valued Lp spaces. Particularly we will determine optimal spaces for boundary data and get maximal regularity for inhomogeneous equations. Then based on these results we shall treat some nonlinear problems. Our approach will be based on the semigroup theory, the interpolation theory of Banach spaces, fractional powers of positive operators, operator-valued Fourier multiplier theorems and the Banach fixed point theorem.  相似文献

We shall discuss the relations among sampling theory (Sinc method), reproducing kernels and the Tikhonov regularization. Here, we see the important difference of the Sobolev Hilbert spaces and the Paley–Wiener spaces when we use their reproducing kernel Hibert spaces as approximate spaces in the Tikhonov regularization. Further, by using the Paley–Wiener spaces, we shall illustrate numerical experiments for new inversion formulas for the Gaussian convolution as a much more powerful and improved method by using computers. In this article, we shall be able to give practical numerical and analytical inversion formulas for the Gaussian convolution that is realized by computers.  相似文献

We give a survey on 4-dimensional manifolds with positive isotropic curvature. We will introduce the work of B. L. Chen, S. H. Tang and X. P. Zhu on a complete classification theorem on compact four-manifolds with positive isotropic curvature (PIC). Then we review an application of the classification theorem, which is from Chen and Zhu’s work. Finally, we discuss our recent result on the path-connectedness of the moduli spaces of Riemannian metrics with positive isotropic curvature.  相似文献

We take one more step in formulating the theory of non-Abelian two-tensor fields: we find gauge transformation rules and the curvature tensor for them. To define the theory, we use the surface exponential. We derive a differential equation for the exponential and attempt to formulate its definition as a matrix model. Summary In this paper, we consider the field equations of Einstein-Maxwell theory in the presence of a four-current source J with vanishing Lorentz force. By relating J with one of the eigenvalues of the contracted curvature tensor, we discuss some of its properties. In particular, we find certain geometric conditions governing the direction of J. The purpose of this paper is to generalize some results of Bloch [3] concerning class field theory for curves over local fields. 本文研究了有限(几乎)单群的非交换图刻画问题.利用有限几乎单群的阶分量理论,证明了对于具有非连通素图的有限单群,AAM猜想成立,同时也证明了某砦几乎单群也能被其非交换图刻画.上述结果推广了文献f131的结果.
Abstract:
In this article,we discuss the characterization of some finite(almost)simple groups by their non-commuting graphs.By using the theory of order components of finite almost simple groups,we prove that AAM's conjecture is true for all finite simple groups with non-connected prime graphs.Moreover,we prove that some almost simple groups can be also characterized by their non-commuting graphs.All the above results generalize those results in[13].  相似文献

The aim of this paper is twofold. First, we shall focus on Lyapunov functions for discrete dynamical systems. We shall propose a methodology for building Lyapunov functions. This methodology will be based upon the introduction of small random perturbations in the deterministic dynamics. Then we shall deal with concentration results for the perturbed dynamics. Our ultimate goal is to force the convergence of the perturbed process towards a set of specified attractors of the deterministic system. We shall illustrate our results on the paradigms of global minimization and associative memory. Our formalism will be illustrated on new algorithms for which the asymptotic analysis can be done rigorously.  相似文献

Using Hamilton's Ricci flow we shall prove several pinching results for integral curvature. In particular, we show that if p>n/2$ and the L p norm of the curvature tensor is small and the diameter is bounded, then the manifold is an infra-nilmanifold.
