In this paper, we will define a graph von Neumann algebra over a fixed von Neumann algebra M, where G is a countable directed graph, by a crossed product algebra = M × α , where is the graph groupoid of G and α is the graph-representation. After defining a certain conditional expectation from onto its M-diagonal subalgebra we can see that this crossed product algebra is *-isomorphic to an amalgamated free product where = vN(M × α where is the subset of consisting of all reduced words in {e, e –1} and M × α is a W *-subalgebra of as a new graph von Neumann algebra induced by a graph G e . Also, we will show that, as a Banach space, a graph von Neumann algebra is isomorphic to a Banach space ⊕ where is a certain subset of the set E(G)* of all words in the edge set E(G) of G. We define canonical representations for the hyperboloid of one sheet and for the Lobachevsky space =G/K where G=SO0(1,n–1), H=SO0(1,n–2) and K=SO(n–1), as the restriction to G of representations associated with a cone of overgroups and for and respectively. We determine explicitly the interaction of Lie operators of with operators intertwining canonical representations and representations of G associated with a cone.Mathematics Subject Classifications (2000) 43A85, 22E46, 53D55.V. We construct a family of special quasigraded Lie algebras of functions of one complex variables with values in finite-dimensional Lie algebra , labeled by the special 2-cocycles F on . The main property of the constructed Lie algebras is that they admit Kostant-Adler-Symes scheme. Using them we obtain new integrable finite-dimensional Hamiltonian systems and new hierarchies of soliton equations.  相似文献

Symmetric spaces or more general symmetric k-varieties can be defined as the homogeneous spaces G k /K k , where G is a reductive algebraic group defined over a field k of characteristic not 2, K the fixed point group of an involution θ of G and G k resp. K k the sets k-rational points of G resp. K. These symmetric spaces have a fine structure of root systems, characters, Weyl groups etc., similar to the underlying algebraic group G. The relationship between the fine structure of the symmetric space and the group plays an important role in the study of these symmetric spaces and their applications. To develop a computer algebra package for symmetric spaces one needs explicit formulas expressing the fine structure of the symmetric space and group in terms of each other. In this paper we consider the case that k is algebraically closed and give explicit algorithmic formulas for expressing the characters of the weight lattice of the symmetric space in terms of the characters of the weight lattice of the group. These algorithms can easily be implemented in a computer algebra package. The root system of the symmetric space can be described as the image of the root system of the group under a projection π derived from an involution θ on . This implies that . Using these formulas for the characters of each of these lattices we show that in fact . A.G. Helminck is partially supported by N.S.F. Grant DMS-0532140.  相似文献

The minimisation problem for a functional is considered, where is an ℝ n -valued stochastic process, defined on some filtered probability space , and P is an admissible probability measure in the sense that it obeys (1) some uniform equivalence condition with respect to the given measure ℙ on Γ, and (2) a finite number (possibly zero) of arbitrarily given other conditions that require the expectation (with respect to P) of some continuous bounded function φ of , for t 1,…,t k ∈[0,1], to lie within some closed set. We assume that u can be formulated through finite compositions of conditional expectations and bounded continuous functions. Under the assumption of |φ| being uniformly bounded from below and some condition on the dimension of , the existence of a solution on hyperfinite adapted probability spaces, as well as its minimality among admissible measures on any other adapted probability space, is proven. Also, a coarseness result for the Loeb operation is established. The main result of this paper, however, is a “standard result”: It does not include any reference to nonstandard analysis and can be perfectly understood without any familiarity with nonstandard analysis.   相似文献

Let ξ(t),t∈[0,1] be a strictly stable Lévy process with the index of stability α∈(0,2). By ℘ ξ we denote the law of ξ in the Skorokhod space . For arbitrary ξ we construct ℘ ξ -quasi-invariant semigroup of transformations of . Under some nondegeneracy condition on the spectral measure of the stable process we construct ℘ ξ -quasi-invariant group of transformations of . In symmetric case this group is a group of the invariant transformations.   相似文献

Let (X t ) t⩾0 be the n-dimensional hyperbolic Brownian motion, that is the diffusion on the real hyperbolic space having the Laplace–Beltrami operator as its generator. The aim of the paper is to derive the formulas for the Gegenbauer transform of the Poisson kernel and the Green function of the ball for the process (X t ) t⩾0. Under additional hypotheses we prove integral representations for the Poisson kernel. This yields explicit formulas in and spaces for the Poisson kernel and the Green function as well.   相似文献

This paper generalizes a number of results obtained by Dimitrić in (Glas. Mat. 21(41):327–329, 1986; Proceedings of Hobart Conference on Rings, Modules and Radicals 1987, 204:41–50, Gordon and Breach, 1989) and Dimitrić and Goldsmith in (Glas. Mat. 23(43):241–246, 1988). The original papers were restricted to the category of Abelian groups and orthogonality was to the group of integers ℤ. Here, we are in a general Abelian category with products and coproducts, with applications to module categories and further to modules over PID’s. Another generalization is in replacing ℤ by an entire class of subobjects of the underlying category. We examine properties of the torsion class , Hom(T,C)=0} in relation to purity, direct summands and indecomposability as well as commutation with direct products, for example. Of special interest are members of this class when is a class of slender objects in the ground category; in this case, members of are called ortho-slender objects. In a sense, ortho-slenderness represents complementary, if not dual, notion to slenderness.   相似文献

Given a finite group G and a natural number n, we study the structure of the complex of nested sets of the associated Dowling lattice (Proc. Internat. Sympos., 1971, pp. 101–115) and of its subposet of the G-symmetric partitions which was recently introduced by Hultman (, 2006), together with the complex of G-symmetric phylogenetic trees . Hultman shows that the complexes and are homotopy equivalent and Cohen–Macaulay, and determines the rank of their top homology. An application of the theory of building sets and nested set complexes by Feichtner and Kozlov (Selecta Math. (N.S.) 10, 37–60, 2004) shows that in fact is subdivided by the order complex of . We introduce the complex of Dowling trees and prove that it is subdivided by the order complex of . Application of a theorem of Feichtner and Sturmfels (Port. Math. (N.S.) 62, 437–468, 2005) shows that, as a simplicial complex, is in fact isomorphic to the Bergman complex of the associated Dowling geometry. Topologically, we prove that is obtained from by successive coning over certain subcomplexes. It is well known that is shellable, and of the same dimension as . We explicitly and independently calculate how many homology spheres are added in passing from to . Comparison with work of Gottlieb and Wachs (Adv. Appl. Math. 24(4), 301–336, 2000) shows that is intimely related to the representation theory of the top homology of . We treat the problem of linearizability of a system of second order ordinary differential equations. The criterion we provide has applications to nonlinear Newtonian mechanics, especially in three-dimensional space. Let or , let , let , let and let
be a collection of m analytic second order ordinary differential equations, in general nonlinear. We obtain a new and applicable necessary and sufficient condition in order that this system is equivalent, under a point transformation
to the Newtonian free particle system .Strikingly, the explicit differential system that we obtain is of first order in the case , whereas according to a classical result due to Lie, it is of second order the case of a single equation .  相似文献

By studying certain centralizer subalgebras of the affine Schur algebra we show that is Noetherian and we determine its center. Assuming n ≥ r, we show that is Morita equivalent to , and the Schur functor is an equivalence under certain conditions. In this paper we establish results on the existence of nontangential limits for weighted -harmonic functions in the weighted Sobolev space , for some q>1 and w in the Muckenhoupt A q class, where is the unit ball in . These results generalize the ones in Sect. 3 of Koskela et al., Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 348(2), 755–766, 1996, where the weight was identically equal to one. Weighted -harmonic functions are weak solutions of the partial differential equation
where for some fixed q∈(1,∞), where 0<αβ<∞, and w(x) is a q-admissible weight as in Chap. 1 of Heinonen et al., Nonlinear Potential Theory, 2006. Later, we apply these results to improve on results of Koskela et al., Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 348(2), 755–766, 1996 and Martio and Srebro, Math. Scand. 85, 49–70, 1999 on the existence of radial limits for bounded quasiregular mappings in the unit ball of with some growth restriction on their multiplicity function.   相似文献

We propose the construction of wavelet bases with pseudo-polynomials adapted to the homogeneous Sobolev spaces , sn/2∈ℕ. They provide a confinement of the infrared divergence by decomposing as a direct sum X Y where X is a “small” space which carries the divergence and Y can be embedded in . In the case of we also construct such an orthonormal basis, which provides a confinement of the Mumford process.  相似文献

Our main result is that the simple Lie group G = Sp(n, 1) acts metrically properly isometrically on L p (G) if p > 4n + 2. To prove this, we introduce Property , with V being a Banach space: a locally compact group G has Property if every affine isometric action of G on V, such that the linear part is a C 0-representation of G, either has a fixed point or is metrically proper. We prove that solvable groups, connected Lie groups, and linear algebraic groups over a local field of characteristic zero, have Property . As a consequence, for unitary representations, we characterize those groups in the latter classes for which the first cohomology with respect to the left regular representation on L 2(G) is nonzero; and we characterize uniform lattices in those groups for which the first L2-Betti number is nonzero.   相似文献

Let be a field and q be a nonzero element of that is not a root of unity. We give a criterion for 〈0〉 to be a primitive ideal of the algebra of quantum matrices. Next, we describe all height one primes of ; these two problems are actually interlinked since it turns out that 〈0〉 is a primitive ideal of whenever has only finitely many height one primes. Finally, we compute the automorphism group of in the case where m ≠ n. In order to do this, we first study the action of this group on the prime spectrum of . Then, by using the preferred basis of and PBW bases, we prove that the automorphism group of is isomorphic to the torus when m ≠ n and (m,n) ≠ (1, 3),(3, 1). We study the representation theory of the -algebra associated with a simple Lie algebra at level k. We show that the “-” reduction functor is exact and sends an irreducible module to zero or an irreducible module at any level k∈ℂ. Moreover, we show that the character of each irreducible highest weight representation of is completely determined by that of the corresponding irreducible highest weight representation of affine Lie algebra of . As a consequence we complete (for the “-” reduction) the proof of the conjecture of E. Frenkel, V. Kac and M. Wakimoto on the existence and the construction of the modular invariant representations of -algebras. Mathematics Subject Classification (1991)  17B68, 81R10  相似文献

We study generalised prime systems , with tending to infinity) and the associated Beurling zeta function . Under appropriate assumptions, we establish various analytic properties of , including its analytic continuation, and we characterise the existence of a suitable generalised functional equation. In particular, we examine the relationship between a counterpart of the Prime Number Theorem (with error term) and the properties of the analytic continuation of . Further we study ‘well-behaved’ g-prime systems, namely, systems for which both the prime and integer counting function are asymptotically well-behaved. Finally, we show that there exists a natural correspondence between generalised prime systems and suitable orders on . Some of the above results are relevant to the second author’s theory of ‘fractal membranes’, whose spectral partition functions are given by Beurling-type zeta functions, as well as to joint work of that author and R. We study the relation between the symplectomorphism group Symp M of a closed connected symplectic manifold M and the symplectomorphism and diffeomorphism groups Symp and Diff of its one point blow up . There are three main arguments. The first shows that for any oriented M the natural map from to is often injective. The second argument applies when M is simply connected and detects nontrivial elements in the homotopy group that persist into the space of self-homotopy equivalences of . Since it uses purely homological arguments, it applies to c-symplectic manifolds (M, a), that is, to manifolds of dimension 2n that support a class such that . The third argument uses the symplectic structure on M and detects nontrivial elements in the (higher) homology of BSymp, M using characteristic classes defined by parametric Gromov–Witten invariants. Some results about many point blow ups are also obtained. For example we show that if M is the four-torus with k-fold blow up (where k > 0) then is not generated by the groups as ranges over the set of all symplectic forms on . Let G be an abelian group, ε an anti-bicharacter of G and L a G-graded ε Lie algebra (color Lie algebra) over a field of characteristic zero. We prove that for all G-graded, positively filtered A such that the associated graded algebra is isomorphic to the G-graded ε-symmetric algebra S(L), there is a G- graded ε-Lie algebra L and a G-graded scalar two cocycle , such that A is isomorphic to U ω (L) the generalized enveloping algebra of L associated with ω. We also prove there is an isomorphism of graded spaces between the Hochschild cohomology of the generalized universal enveloping algebra U(L) and the generalized cohomology of the color Lie algebra L. The construction of the cotensor coalgebra for an “abelian monoidal” category which is also cocomplete, complete and AB5, was performed in Ardizzoni et al. (Comm Algebra 35(1):25–70, 2007). It was also proved that this coalgebra satisfies a meaningful universal property which resembles the classical one. Here the lack of the coradical filtration for a coalgebra E in is filled by considering a direct limit of a filtration consisting of wedge products of a subcoalgebra D of E. The main aim of this paper is to characterize hereditary coalgebras , where D is a coseparable coalgebra in , by means of a cotensor coalgebra: more precisely, we prove that, under suitable assumptions, is hereditary if and only if it is formally smooth if and only if it is the cotensor coalgebra if and only if it is a cotensor coalgebra , where N is a certain D-bicomodule in . Because of our choice, even when we apply our results in the category of vector spaces, new results are obtained. This paper was written while A. Ardizzoni was member of G.N.S.A.G.A. with partial financial support from Mi.U.R.  相似文献
