The pseudo-differential operator (p.d.o) h w , a associated with the Bessel operator d 2 / dx 2 + (1 m 4 w 2 )/4 x 2 involving the symbol a ( x , y ) whose derivatives satisfy certain growth conditions depending on some increasing sequences, is studied on certain Gevrey spaces (ultradifferentiable function spaces). It is shown that the operator h w , a is a continuous linear map of one Gevrey space into another Gevrey space. A special p.d.o. called the Gevrey-Hankel potential is defined and some of its properties are investigated. A variant H w , a of h w , a is also discussed.  相似文献

A monster in the sense of Luh is a holomorphic function on a simply connected domain in the complex plane such that it and all its derivatives and antiderivatives exhibit an extremely wild behaviour near the boundary. In this paper, the Hardy spaces H p and the Bergman spaces B p (1 h p < X ) on the unit disk are considered, and it is shown that there are no Luh-monsters in them. Nevertheless, it is proved that T -monsters (as introduced by the authors in an earlier work) can be found in each of these spaces for any finite order linear differential operator T .  相似文献

We examine k-minimal and k-maximal operator spaces and operator systems, and investigate their relationships with the separability problem in quantum information theory. We show that the matrix norms that define the k-minimal operator spaces are equal to a family of norms that have been studied independently as a tool for detecting k-positive linear maps and bound entanglement. Similarly, we investigate the k-super minimal and k-super maximal operator systems that were recently introduced and show that their cones of positive elements are exactly the cones of k-block positive operators and (unnormalized) states with Schmidt number no greater than k, respectively. We characterize a class of norms on the k-super minimal operator systems and show that the completely bounded versions of these norms provide a criterion for testing the Schmidt number of a quantum state that generalizes the recently-developed separability criterion based on trace-contractive maps.  相似文献

We prove a complex and a real interpolation theorems on Besov spaces and Triebel-Lizorkin spaces associated with a selfadjoint operator L, without assuming the gradient estimate for its spectral kernel. The result applies to the cases where L is a uniformly elliptic operator or a Schrdinger operator with electro-magnetic potential.  相似文献

Suppose (B,β) is an operator ideal, and A is a linear space of operators between Banach spaces X and Y. Modifying the classical notion of hyperreflexivity, we say that A is called B-hyperreflexive if there exists a constant C such that, for any TB(X,Y) with α=supβ(qTi)<∞ (the supremum runs over all isometric embeddings i into X, and all quotient maps of Y, satisfying qAi=0), there exists aA, for which β(Ta)?Cα. In this paper, we give examples of B-hyperreflexive spaces, as well as of spaces failing this property. In the last section, we apply SE-hyperreflexivity of operator algebras (SE is a regular symmetrically normed operator ideal) to constructing operator spaces with prescribed families of completely bounded maps.  相似文献

Basis problems for self-adjoint matrix valued functions are studied. We suggest a new and nonstandard method to solve basis problems both in finite and infinite dimensional spaces. Although many results in this paper are given for operator functions in infinite dimensional Hilbert spaces, but to demonstrate practicability of this method and to present a full solution of basis problems, in this paper we often restrict ourselves to matrix valued functions which generate Rayleigh systems on the n-dimensional complex space Cn. The suggested method is an improvement of an approach given recently in our paper [M. Hasanov, A class of nonlinear equations in Hilbert space and its applications to completeness problems, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 328 (2007) 1487-1494], which is based on the extension of the resolvent of a self-adjoint operator function to isolated eigenvalues and the properties of quadratic forms of the extended resolvent. This approach is especially useful for nonanalytic and nonsmooth operator functions when a suitable factorization formula fails to exist.  相似文献

There is a subtle difference as far as the invariant subspace problem is concerned for operators acting on real Banach spaces and operators acting on complex Banach spaces. For instance, the classical hyperinvariant subspace theorem of Lomonosov [Funktsional. Anal. nal. i Prilozhen 7(3)(1973), 55–56. (Russian)], while true for complex Banach spaces is false for real Banach spaces. When one starts with a bounded operator on a real Banach space and then considers some “complexification technique” to extend the operator to a complex Banach space, there seems to be no pattern that indicates any connection between the invariant subspaces of the “real” operator and those of its “complexifications.” The purpose of this note is to examine two complexification methods of an operator T acting on a real Banach space and present some questions regarding the invariant subspaces of T and those of its complexifications Mathematics Subject Classification 1991: 47A15, 47C05, 47L20, 46B99 Y.A. Abstract

The powerful concept of an operator ideal on the class of all Banach spaces makes sense in the real and in the complex case. In both settings we may, for example, consider compact, nuclear, or 2-summing operators, where the definitions are adapted to each other in a natural way. This paper deals with the question whether or not that fact is based on a general philosophy. Does there exists a one-to-one correspondence between “real properties” and “complex properties” defining an operator ideal? In other words, does there exist for every real operator ideal a uniquely determined corresponding complex ideal and vice versa?

Unfortunately, we are not abel to give a final answer. Nevertheless, some preliminary results are obtained. In particular, we construct for every real operator ideal a corresponding complex operator ideal and for every complex operator ideal a corresponding real one. However, we conjecture that there exists a complex operator ideal which can not be obtained from a real one by this construction.

The following approach is based on the observation that every complex Banach space can be viewed as a real Banach space with an isometry acting on it like the scalar multiplication by the imaginary unit i.  相似文献

A generalization of the operator method by Grisvard is used to ensure weak and strict solutions to some degenerate differential equations with delay in Banach spaces, whose operator coefficients are time depending. The Hilbert matrix induces a bounded operator on most Hardy and Bergman spaces, as was shown by Diamantopoulos and Siskakis. We generalize this for any Hankel operator on Hardy spaces by using a result of Hollenbeck and Verbitsky on the Riesz projection and also compute the exact value of the norm of the Hilbert matrix. Using a new technique, we determine the norm of the Hilbert matrix on a wide range of Bergman spaces.  相似文献

We prove that two dual operator spaces X and Y are stably isomorphic if and only if there exist completely isometric normal representations ? and ψ of X and Y, respectively, and ternary rings of operators M1, M2 such that and . We prove that this is equivalent to certain canonical dual operator algebras associated with the operator spaces being stably isomorphic. We apply these operator space results to prove that certain dual operator algebras are stably isomorphic if and only if they are isomorphic. Consequently, we obtain that certain complex domains are biholomorphically equivalent if and only if their algebras of bounded analytic functions are Morita equivalent in our sense. Finally, we provide examples motivated by the theory of CSL algebras.  相似文献

Maximal operator semigroups, bounded in a certain sense, on real or complex vector spaces are studied. For any maximal semigroup \MM dominated by a certain pair of homogeneous functions there is an operator quasinorm for which \MM is exactly the semigroup of contractions in this quasinorm. Applications to Riesz spaces are given. In particular, maximal semigroups of matrices dominated by a given positive matrix are characterized. We thus answer the question implicitly posed in [2].
