On the WAε Property and g-NUCε Banach Spaces

The WAε property and g-NUCε, g-NUC Banach spaces are introduced. We prove that the WAε property is equivalent to the WBS property and the g-NUCε (resp., g-NUC) spaces are equivalent to the NUCε (resp. , NUC) spaces possessing the BS property. So we obtain a characterization of the NUCε (resp, , NUC) spaces possessing the BS property.     

Property(ω) and Its Perturbations

A Hilbert space operator T is said to have property(ω1) if σa(T)\σaw(T) ? π00(T), where σa(T) and σaw(T) denote the approximate point spectrum and the Weyl essential approximate point spectrum of T respectively, and π00(T) = {λ∈ iso σ(T), 0 dim N(T- λI) ∞}. If σa(T)\σaw(T) = π00(T), we say T satisfies property(ω). In this note, we investigate the stability of the property(ω1) and the property(ω) under compact perturbations, and we characterize those operators for which the property(ω1) and the property(ω) are stable under compact perturbations.     

SCHAUDER BASIS DETERMINING PROPERTIES

In this paper we introduce a new concept, called the Schauder basis determining property, which is strictly stronger than the concept of a countably determining property. This concept provides a new way to study the structure of Banach spaces, especially, the goometrical properties of Banach spaces. We show that many structural properties of Banach spaces are Schauder basis detarmining properties. These include the Banach-Saks property, the Asplund property, full convexity, the Kadec-Klee property, zeflexity, some-what refiexity, property (A)—(E), the Schur property, and the Krein-Milman property. We also give a counterexample to show that the approximation property is not a Schauder' basis determining property, but it is a countably determining property.     

THE JOINT DISTRIBUTIONS OF SOME ACTUARIAL DIAGNOSTICS FOR THE JUMP-DIFFUSION RISK PROCESS

In this article, the joint distributions of several actuarial diagnostics which are important to insurers’ running for the jump-diffusion risk process are examined. They include the ruin time, the time of the surplus process leaving zero ultimately (simply, the ultimately leaving-time), the surplus immediately prior to ruin, the supreme profits before ruin, the supreme profits and deficit until it leaves zero ultimately and so on. The explicit expressions for their distributions are obtained mainly by the various properties of L′evy process, such as the homogeneous strong Markov property and the spatial homogeneity property etc, moveover, the many properties for Brownian motion.     

Laws of Large Numbers for Cesàro alpha-integrable Random Variables under Dependence Condition AANA or AQSI

Both residual Cesàro alpha-integrability (RCI( α)) and strongly residual Cesàro alpha-integrability (SRCI(α)) are two special kinds of extensions to uniform integrability, and both asymp-totically almost negative association (AANA) and asymptotically quadrant sub-independence (AQSI) are two special kinds of dependence structures. By relating the RCI(α) property as well as the SRCI(α) property with dependence condition AANA or AQSI, we formulate some tail-integrability conditions under which for appropriate α the RCI(α) property yields L1-convergence results and the SRCI(α) property yields strong laws of large numbers, which is the continuation of the corresponding literature.     

Symmetric q-Deformed KP Hierarchy

Based on the analytic property of the symmetric q-exponent e_q(x),a new symmetric q-deformed Kadomtsev-Petviashvili(q-KP for short) hierarchy associated with the symmetric q-derivative operator α_q is constructed.Furthermore,the symmetric q-CKP hierarchy and symmetric q-BKP hierarchy are defined.The authors also investigate the additional symmetries of the symmetric q-KP hierarchy.     

The Equivalence between Property (ω) and Weyl’s Theorem

We call T ∈ B(H) consistent in Fredholm and index (briefly a CFI operator) if for each B ∈ B(H),T B and BT are Fredholm together and the same index of B,or not Fredholm together.Using a new spectrum defined in view of the CFI operator,we give the equivalence of Weyl’s theorem and property (ω) for T and its conjugate operator T* .In addition,the property (ω) for operator matrices is considered.     

Some Weak Specification Properties and Strongly Mixing

In this paper,the authors first construct a dynamical system which is strongly mixing but has no weak specification property.Then the authors introduce two new concepts which are called the quasi-weak specification property and the semi-weak specification property in this paper,respectively,and the authors prove the equivalence of quasi-weak specification property,semi-weak specification property and strongly mixing.

Separable Determination of the Fixed Point Property of Convex Sets in Banach Spaces

In this paper, we first show that for every mapping $f$ from a metric space $Ω$ to itself which is continuous off a countable subset of $Ω,$ there exists a nonempty closed separable subspace $S ⊂ Ω$ so that $f|_S$ is again a self mapping on $S.$ Therefore, both the fixed point property and the weak fixed point property of a nonempty closed convex set in a Banach space are separably determined. We then prove that every separable subspace of $c_0(\Gamma)$ (for any set $\Gamma$) is again lying in $c_0.$ Making use of these results, we finally presents a simple proof of the famous result: Every non-expansive self-mapping defined on a nonempty weakly compact convex set of $c_0(\Gamma)$ has a fixed point.

Bifurcations and exact travelling wave solutions of M-N-Wang equation

By using the method of dynamical systems to Mikhailov-Novikov-Wang Equation, through qualitative analysis, we obtain bifurcations of phase portraits of the traveling system of the derivative $\phi(\xi)$ of the wave function $\psi(\xi)$. Under different parameter conditions, for $\phi(\xi)$, exact explicit solitary wave solutions, periodic peakon and anti-peakon solutions are obtained. By integrating known $\phi(\xi)$, nine exact explicit traveling wave solutions of $\psi(\xi)$ are given.
