We introduce the notions of self-dual (graded) Hopf algebras and of structurally simple (graded) Hopf algebras. We prove that the self-dual Hopf algebras are structurally simple and provide a construction of self-dual Hopf algebras. Finally, we classify the self-dual quotients of the form TB (M)/I, where TB (M) is a path algebra with a graded Hopf algebra structure, and I is a graded admissible Hopf ideal.  相似文献

We introduce the concept of a Brauer character of a representation of a finite monoid M in characteristic p>0. When p does not divide the order of any subgroup of M, we develop a theory of p-monoid quivers. We apply our results to the full transformation semigroup.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to classify torus manifolds (M 2n , T n ) with codimension one extended G-actions (M 2n , G) up to essential isomorphism, where G is a compact, connected Lie group whose maximal torus is T n . For technical reasons, we do not assume torus manifolds are orientable. We prove that there are seven types of such manifolds. As a corollary, if a nonsingular toric variety or a quasitoric manifold has a codimension one extended action then such manifold is a complex projective bundle over a product of complex projective spaces.  相似文献

Let (M, ω, Φ) be a Hamiltonian T-space and let H í T{H\subseteq T} be a closed Lie subtorus. Under some technical hypotheses on the moment map Φ, we prove that there is no additive torsion in the integral full orbifold K-theory of the orbifold symplectic quotient [M//H]. Our main technical tool is an extension to the case of moment map level sets the well-known result that components of the moment map of a Hamiltonian T-space M are Morse-Bott functions on M. As first applications, we conclude that a large class of symplectic toric orbifolds, as well as certain S 1-quotients of GKM spaces, have integral full orbifold K-theory that is free of additive torsion. Finally, we introduce the notion of semilocally Delzant which allows us to formulate sufficient conditions under which the hypotheses of the main theorem hold. We illustrate our results using low-rank coadjoint orbits of type A and B.  相似文献

In this paper we propose a method to construct more general fuzzy sets using ordinary fuzzy sets as building blocks. We introduce the concept of multi-fuzzy sets in terms of ordered sequences of membership functions. The family of operations T, S, M of multi-fuzzy sets are introduced by coordinate wise t-norms, s-norms and aggregation operations. We define the notion of coordinate wise conjugation of multifuzzy sets, a method for obtaining Atanassov’s intuitionistic fuzzy operations from multi-fuzzy sets. We show that various binary operations in Atanassov’s intuitionistic fuzzy sets are equivalent to some operations in multi-fuzzy sets like M operations, 2-conjugates of the T and S operations. It is concluded that multi-fuzzy set theory is an extension of Zadeh’s fuzzy set theory, Atanassov’s intuitionsitic fuzzy set theory and L-fuzzy set theory.  相似文献

Suppose M is a cusped finite-volume hyperbolic 3-manifold and T{\mathcal{T}} is an ideal triangulation of M with essential edges. We show that any incompressible surface S in M that is not a virtual fiber can be isotoped into spunnormal form in T{\mathcal{T}}. The proof is based directly on ideas of W. Thurston.  相似文献

We introduce the concept of sformal minimal model as an extension of formality. We prove that any orientable compact manifold M, of dimension 2n or (2n−1), is formal if and only if M is (n−1)–formal. The formality and the hard Lefschetz property are studied for the Donaldson submanifolds of symplectic manifolds constructed in [13]. This study permits us to show an example of a Donaldson symplectic submanifold of dimension eight which is formal simply connected and does not satisfy the hard Lefschetz theorem. In this paper, we introduce and study torsion-theoretic generalizations of singular and nonsingular modules by using the concept of τ-essential submodule for a hereditary torsion theory τ. We introduce two new module classes called τ-singular and non-τ-singular modules. We investigate some properties of these module classes and present some examples to show that these new module classes are different from singular and nonsingular modules. We give a characterization of τ-semisimple rings via non-τ-singular modules. We prove that if Mτ(M) is non-τ-singular for a module M, then every submodule of M has a unique τ-closure. We give some properties of the torsion theory generated by the class of all τ-singular modules. We obtain a decomposition theorem for a strongly τ-extending module by using non-τ-singular modules.  相似文献

In this paper we use Bartle’s technique to study duality between a topological space and a function space. Normally such a duality forms an essential part of Functional Analysis. We introduce several new topologies such as the topology of even convergence Te, the closed-cocompact topology Tk, the (strong) local proximal convergence. We explore the topological groups of self-homeomorphisms of a topological space and shed light on the earlier work of Arens, Dieudonné, Di Concilio. We also study the concepts such as evenly equidistant, functionally equicontinuous, due to Bouziad-Troallic and topologically equicontinuous due to Royden. Let M be a compact, connected, orientable, irreducible 3-manifold and T0 an incompressible torus boundary component of M such that the pair (M,T0) is not cabled. By a result of C. Gordon, if (S,∂S),(T,∂T)⊂(M,T0) are incompressible punctured tori with boundary slopes at distance Δ=Δ(∂S,∂T), then Δ?8, and the cases where Δ=6,7,8 are very few and classified. We give a simplified proof of this result (or rather, of its reduction process), using an improved estimate for the maximum possible number of mutually parallel negative edges in the graphs of intersection of S and T. We also extend Gordon's result by allowing either S or T to be an essential Klein bottle.  相似文献

Let (T, M) be a complete local ring such that |T/M| = | T |. Given a finite set of incomparable nonmaximal prime ideals C of T, we provide necessary and sufficient conditions for T to be the completion of a local UFD A, whose generic formal fiber is semilocal with maximal ideals the elements of C. We also show that, given the T above, we can find necessary and sufficient conditions for T to be the completion of a UFD, whose formal fiber over a height one prime ideal is semilocal.

Assume that G is a nonempty open subset of the complex plane and that T is an operator on the linear space of holomorphic functions in G, endowed with the compact-open topology. In this paper we introduce the notions of strongly omnipresent operator and of T-monster, which are related to the wild behaviour of certain holomorphic functions near the boundary of G. T-monsters extend a concept introduced by W. Luh and K.-G. Grosse-Erdmann. After showing that T is strongly omnipresent if and only if the set of T-monsters is residual, it is proved in this paper that certain kinds of infinite order differential and antidifferential operators are strongly omnipresent, which improves some earlier nice results due to the mentioned authors.  相似文献

A right module M over a ring R is said to be ADS if for every decomposition M = ST and every complement T′ of S, we have M = ST′. In this article, we study and provide several new characterizations of this new class of modules. We prove that M is semisimple if and only if every module in σ[M] is ADS. SC and SI rings also characterized by the ADS notion. A ring R is right SC-ring if and only if every 2-generated singular R-module is ADS.  相似文献

In this article, we study Γ-semihypergroups introduced recently. We introduce the hyper versions of Green's relations in Γ-semihypergroups and give some related characterizations. We introduce the n-prime Γ-hyperideal and n-semiprime Γ-hyperideal of a Γ-semihypergroup and show that for any integer n ≥ 2, n-prime Γ-hyperideals are a generalization of prime Γ-ideals. We also give the relationship between n-prime Γ-hyperideals and Γ-hyperideal extensions in Γ-semihypergroups. Then, we deal with prime ideal and introduce the notion of prime radical in a Γ-semihypergroup M, and also, we obtain some results and relations among the prime radicals of M and S, where S is the left operator semihypergroup of M.  相似文献

Let M be a module over a commutative ring, and let Spec(M) be the collection of all prime submodules of M. We topologize Spec(M) with Zariski topology, which is analogous to that for Spec(R), and for a nonempty subset T of Spec(M), we introduce a new graph G T ), called the Zariski topology-graph. This graph helps us to study the algebraic (resp. topological) properties of M (resp. Spec(M)) by using the graph theoretical tools.  相似文献

The submodules with the property of the title (N ? M is strongly essential in M if I N is essential in I M for any index set I) are introduced and fully investigated.

It is shown that for each submodule N of M there exists a subset T ? M such that N + T is strongly essential submodule of M and (N:T) = Ann(T), T  ∩  N = 0. Basic properties of these objects and several examples are given and the counterparts of the related concepts to essential submodules are also introduced and studied. It is shown that each maximal left ideal of a left fully bounded ring is either a summand or strongly essential. Rings over which no module has a proper strongly essential submodule are characterized. It is also shown that the left Loewy rings are the only rings over which the essential submodules and strongly essential submodules of any left module coincide. Finally, a new characterization of left FBN rings is observed.  相似文献

Let G be a compact torus acting on a compact symplectic manifold M in a Hamiltonian fashion, and T a subtorus of G. We prove that the kernel of is generated by a small number of classes satisfying very explicit restriction properties. Our main tool is the equivariant Kirwan map, a natural map from the G-equivariant cohomology of M to the G/T-equivariant cohomology of the symplectic reduction of M by T . We show this map is surjective. This is an equivariant version of the well-known result that the (nonequivariant) Kirwan map is surjective. We also compute the kernel of the equivariant Kirwan map, generalizing the result due to Tolman and Weitsman [TW] in the case T = G and allowing us to apply their methods inductively. This result is new even in the case that dim T = 1. We close with a worked example: the cohomology ring of the product of two , quotiented by the diagonal 2-torus action. In this paper we give a complete solution to the classification problem forω-categorical,ω-stable theories. More explicitly, supposeT isω-categorical,ω-stable with fewer than the maximum number of models in some uncountable power. We associate with each modelM ofT a “simple” invariantI(M), not unlike a vector of dimensions, such thatI(M)=I(N) if and only ifMN. The spectrum function,I(−,T), for a first-order theoryT is such that for all infinite cardinals λ,I(λ,T) is the number of nonisomorphic models ofT of cardinality λ.
