For a general crossed product E = A#f H, of an algebra A by a Hopf algebra H, we obtain complexes smaller than the canonical ones, giving the Hochschild homology and cohomology of E. These complexes are equipped with natural filtrations. The spectral sequences associated to them coincide with the ones obtained using a natural generalization of the direct method introduced in Trans. Amer. Math. Soc. 74 (1953) 110–134. We also get that if the 2-cocycle f takes its values in a separable subalgebra of A, then the Hochschild (co)homology of E with coefficients in M is the (co)homology of H with coefficients in a (co)chain complex.  相似文献

We compute the Hochschild, cyclic, and periodic cyclic homology groups of algebras of families of Laurent complete symbols on manifolds with corners. We show in particular that the spectral sequence associated with Hochschild homology degenerates at E2 and converges to Hochschild homology. As a byproduct, we identify the space of residue traces on fibrations by manifolds with corners. In the process, we prove some structural results about algebras of complete symbols on manifolds with corners.  相似文献

In this article, we compute the Hochschild homology group of A = KΓ/(f(X s )), where KΓ is the path algebra of the cyclic quiver Γ with s vertices and s arrows over a commutative ring K, f(x) is a monic polynomial over K, and X is the sum of all arrows in KΓ. Moreover, we compute the cyclic homology group of A in the case f(x) = (x ? a) m , where a ∈ K, so that we can determine the cyclic homology of A in general when K is an algebraically closed field.  相似文献

Let HZd be a positive semigroup generated by AH, and let K[H] be the associated semigroup ring over a field K. We investigate heredity of the Cohen-Macaulay property from K[H] to both its A-Newton graded ring and to its face rings. We show by example that neither one inherits in general the Cohen-Macaulay property. On the positive side, we show that for every H there exist generating sets A for which the Newton graduation preserves Cohen-Macaulayness. This gives an elementary proof for an important vanishing result on A-hypergeometric Euler-Koszul homology. As a tool for our investigations we develop an algorithm to compute algorithmically the Newton filtration on a toric ring.  相似文献

Let T be a Hochschild extension algebra of a finite dimensional algebra A over a field K by the standard duality A-bimodule HomK(A, K). In this paper, we determine the ordinary quiver of T if A is a self-injective Nakayama algebra by means of the ?-graded second Hochschild homology group HH2(A) in the sense of Sköldberg.  相似文献

IfB is an étale extension of ak-algebraA, we prove for Hochschild homology thatHH *(B)≅HH*(A)⊗AB. For Galois descent with groupG there is a similar result for cyclic homology:HC *≅HC*(B)G if . In the process of proving these results we give a localization result for Hochschild homology without any flatness assumption. We then extend the definition of Hochschild homology to all schemes and show that Hochschild homology satisfies cohomological descent for the Zariski, Nisnevich and étale topologies. We extend the definition of cyclic homology to finite-dimensional noetherian schemes and show that cyclic homology satisfies cohomological descent for the Zariski and Nisnevich topologies, as well as for the étale topology overQ. Finally we apply these results to complete the computation of the algebraicK-theory of seminormal curves in characteristic zero. Hochschild homology of cubic Artin–Schelter regular algebras of type A with generic coefficients is computed. We follow the method used by Van den Bergh (K-Theory 8 (1994) 213–230) in the quadratic case, by considering these algebras as deformations of a polynomial algebra, with remarkable Poisson brackets. A new quasi-isomorphism is introduced. De Rham cohomology, cyclic and periodic cyclic homologies, and Hochschild cohomology are also computed. To cite this article: N. Marconnet, C. R. Acad. Sci. In this article we show that an algebra A = K Γ/(f(X s )) has a periodic projective bimodule resolution of period 2, where KΓ is the path algebra of the circular quiver Γ with s vertices and s arrows over a commutative ring K, f(x) is a monic polynomial over K and X is the sum of all arrows in KΓ. Moreover, by means of this projective bimodule resolution, we compute the Hochschild cohomology group of A, and we give a presentation of the Hochschild cohomology ring HH?(A) by the generators and the relations in the case K is a field.  相似文献

Let BA be an H-Galois extension, where H is a Hopf algebra over a field K. If M is a Hopf bimodule then , the Hochschild homology of A with coefficients in M, is a right comodule over the coalgebra CH=H/[H,H]. Given an injective left CH-comodule V, our aim is to understand the relationship between and . The roots of this problem can be found in Lorenz (1994) [15], where and are shown to be isomorphic for any centrally G-Galois extension. To approach the above mentioned problem, in the case when A is a faithfully flat B-module and H satisfies some technical conditions, we construct a spectral sequence

We introduce and investigate the properties of Hochschild cohomology of algebras in an abelian monoidal category M. We show that the second Hochschild cohomology group of an algebra in M classifies extensions of A up to an equivalence. We characterize algebras of Hochschild dimension 0 (separable algebras), and of Hochschild dimension ≤1 (formally smooth algebras). Several particular cases and applications are included in the last section of the paper.  相似文献

The central result of this paper is an explicit computation of the Hochschild and cyclic homologies of a natural smooth subalgebra of stable continuous trace algebras having smooth manifolds X as their spectrum. More precisely, the Hochschild homology is identified with the space of differential forms on X, and the periodic cyclic homology with the twisted de Rham cohomology of X, thereby generalising some fundamental results of Connes and Hochschild-Kostant-Rosenberg. The Connes-Chern character is also identified here with the twisted Chern character.  相似文献

Suppose k is a field. Let A and B be two finite dimensional k-algebras such that there is a stable equivalence of Morita type between A and B. In this paper, we prove that (1) if A and B are representation-finite then their Auslander algebras are stably equivalent of Morita type; (2) The n-th Hochschild homology groups of A and B are isomorphic for all n≥1. A new proof is also provided for Hochschild cohomology groups of self-injective algebras under a stable equivalence of Morita type.  相似文献

In this paper we use Quillen-Barr-Beck's theory of (co-) homology of algebras in order to define (co-) homology for the category RLie of restricted Lie algebras over a field k of characteristic p≠0. In contrast with the cases of groups, associative algebras and Lie algebras we do not obtain Hochschild (co-) homology shifted by 1.Precisely, we determine for LRLie the category of Beck L-modules and the group of Beck derivations of g∈RLie/L to a Beck L-module M. Moreover, we prove a classification theorem which gives a one-to-one correspondence between the one cohomology and the set of equivalent classes of p-extensions. Finally, a universal coefficient theorem is proved, relating the homology to the Hochschild homology via a short exact sequence. This shows that the new homology determines the Hochschild homology.  相似文献

We study functors underlying derived Hochschild cohomology, also called Shukla cohomology, of a commutative algebra S essentially of finite type and of finite flat dimension over a commutative noetherian ring K. We construct a complex of S-modules D, and natural reduction isomorphisms for all complexes of S-modules N and all complexes M of finite flat dimension over K whose homology H(M) is finitely generated over S; such isomorphisms determine D up to derived isomorphism. Using Grothendieck duality theory we establish analogous isomorphisms for any essentially finite-type flat map of noetherian schemes, with f!OY in place of D.  相似文献

We say that an algebra A is periodic if it has a periodic projective resolution as an (A,A)-bimodule. We show that any self-injective algebra of finite representation type is periodic. To prove this, we first apply the theory of smash products to show that for a finite Galois covering BA, B is periodic if and only if A is. In addition, when A has finite representation type, we build upon results of Buchweitz to show that periodicity passes between A and its stable Auslander algebra. Finally, we use Asashiba’s classification of the derived equivalence classes of self-injective algebras of finite type to compute bounds for the periods of these algebras, and give an application to stable Calabi-Yau dimensions.  相似文献

Suppose f is a map of a continuum X onto itself. A periodic continuum of f is a subcontinuum K of X such that fn[K]=K for some positive integer n. A proper periodic continuum of f is a periodic continuum of f that is a proper subcontinuum of X. A proper periodic continuum of f is maximal if and only if X is the only periodic continuum that properly contains it. In this paper it is shown that the maximal proper periodic continua of a map of a hereditarily decomposable chainable continuum onto itself follow the Sarkovskii order, provided the maximal proper periodic continua are disjoint. The case in which the Sarkovskii order does not hold reduces to the scenario in which the map's domain is the union of two overlapping period-two continua, each of which is maximal.  相似文献

In this note we use a topological version of Hochschild homology and cyclic homology of a commutative algebra, introduced by P. Seibt in [Se2], to show, that periodic homology can be used to calculate the relative algebraic de Rham cohomology of a morphism of affine Q-schemes of finite type as defined in [Ha], chapt. In this paper, we introduce the notion of f-harmonic map with potential H with respect to the functional E f,H . We use the stress-energy tensor to obtain some monotonicity formulas and Liouville type theorems for f-harmonic maps with potential H under some conditions on f and H.  相似文献
