The central result of this paper is an explicit computation of the Hochschild and cyclic homologies of a natural smooth subalgebra of stable continuous trace algebras having smooth manifolds X as their spectrum. More precisely, the Hochschild homology is identified with the space of differential forms on X, and the periodic cyclic homology with the twisted de Rham cohomology of X, thereby generalising some fundamental results of Connes and Hochschild-Kostant-Rosenberg. The Connes-Chern character is also identified here with the twisted Chern character.  相似文献

Summary For any Lie algebra g, we compute the Hochschild and cyclic homology groups of its enveloping algebra in terms of the canonical Lie-Poisson structure on the dual g*. We also discuss the collapsing of Connes spectral sequence for cyclic homology, particularly in the case of semisimple Lie algebras.  相似文献

We study Hochschild and cyclic homology of finite type algebras using abelian stratifications of their primitive ideal spectrum. Hochschild homology turns out to have a quite complicated behavior, but cyclic homology can be related directly to the singular cohomology of the strata. We also briefly discuss some connections with the representation theory of reductive p-adic groups.  相似文献

Hochschild homology of cubic Artin–Schelter regular algebras of type A with generic coefficients is computed. We follow the method used by Van den Bergh (K-Theory 8 (1994) 213–230) in the quadratic case, by considering these algebras as deformations of a polynomial algebra, with remarkable Poisson brackets. A new quasi-isomorphism is introduced. De Rham cohomology, cyclic and periodic cyclic homologies, and Hochschild cohomology are also computed. To cite this article: N. Marconnet, C. R. Acad. Sci. In this paper we use Quillen-Barr-Beck's theory of (co-) homology of algebras in order to define (co-) homology for the category RLie of restricted Lie algebras over a field k of characteristic p≠0. In contrast with the cases of groups, associative algebras and Lie algebras we do not obtain Hochschild (co-) homology shifted by 1.Precisely, we determine for LRLie the category of Beck L-modules and the group of Beck derivations of g∈RLie/L to a Beck L-module M. Moreover, we prove a classification theorem which gives a one-to-one correspondence between the one cohomology and the set of equivalent classes of p-extensions. Finally, a universal coefficient theorem is proved, relating the homology to the Hochschild homology via a short exact sequence. This shows that the new homology determines the Hochschild homology.  相似文献

We study the Hochschild and cyclic homology of noncommutative monogenic extensions. As an application we compute the Hochschild and cyclic homology of the rank 1 Hopf algebras introduced in [L. Krop, D. Radford, Finite dimensional Hopf algebras of rank 1 in characteristic 0, Journal of Algebra 302 (1) (2006) 214–230].  相似文献

We investigate the Hochschild and cyclic homologies of crossed modules of algebras in some special cases. We prove that the cotriple cyclic homology of a crossed module of algebras (I, A, ρ) is isomorphic to HC *(ρ): HC *(I) → HC *(A), provided I is H-unital and the ground ring is a field with characteristic zero. We also calculate the Hochschild and cyclic homologies of a crossed module of algebras (R, 0, 0) for each algebra R with trivial multiplication. At the end, we give some applications proving a new five term exact sequence.  相似文献

We prove a analogous to Quillen's plus-construction in the category of algebras over an operad. For that purpose we prove that this category is a closed model category and prove the existence of an obstruction theory. We apply further this plus-construction for the specific cases of Lie algebras and Leibniz algebras which are a noncommutative version of Lie algebras: let sl(A) be the kernel of the trace map gl(A)A/[A,A], where A is an associative algebra with unit and gl(A) is the Lie algebra of matrices over A. Then the homotopy of slA)+ in the category of Lie algebras is the cyclic homology of A whereas it is the Hochschild homology of A in the category of Leibniz algebras.  相似文献

In this paper we generalize the plus-construction given by M. Livernet for algebras over rational differential graded operads to the framework of cofibrant operads over an arbitrary ring (the category of algebras over such operads admits a closed model category structure). We follow the modern approach of J. Berrick and C. Casacuberta defining topological plus-construction as a nullification with respect to a universal acyclic space. We construct a universalH *Q-acyclic algebra and we define A A+ as the -nullification of the algebra A. This map induces an isomorphism in Quillen homology and quotients out the maximal perfect ideal of 0(A). As an application, we consider for any associative algebra R the plus-constructions of gl(R) in the categories of homotopy Lie and homotopy Leibniz algebras. This gives rise to two new homology theories for associative algebras, namely homotopy cyclic and homotopy Hochschild homologies. Over the rationals these theories coincide with the classical cyclic and Hochschild homologies.Primary: 19D06, 19D55; Secondary: 18D50, 18G55, 55P60, 55U35Received March 2003  相似文献

We study the Hochschild homology of algebras related via split pairs, and apply this to fiber products, trivial extensions, monomial algebras, graded-commutative algebras and quantum complete intersections. In particular, we compute lower bounds for the dimensions of both the Hochschild homology and cohomology groups of quantum complete intersections.  相似文献

We compute the Hochschild cohomology of any block of q-Schur algebras. We focus on the even part of this Hochschild cohomology ring. To compute the Hochschild cohomology of q-Schur algebras, we prove the following two results: first, we construct two graded algebra surjections between the Hochschild cohomologies of quasi-hereditary algebras because all q-Schur algebras over a field are quasi-hereditary. Second, we give the graded algebra isomorphism of Hochschild cohomologies by using a certain derive equivalence.  相似文献

We study three different (co)homology theories for a family of pullbacks of algebras that we call oriented. We obtain a Mayer Vietoris long exact sequence of Hochschild and cyclic homology and cohomology groups for these algebras. We give examples showing that our sequence for Hochschild cohomology groups is different from the known ones. In case the algebras are given by quiver and relations, and that the simplicial homology and cohomology groups are defined, we obtain a similar result in a slightly wider context. Finally, we also study the fundamental groups of the bound quivers involved in the pullbacks.  相似文献

Given a group Π, we study the group homology of centralizers Π g , g ? Π, and of their central quotients Π g /〈 g〉. This study is motivated by the structure of the Hochschild and the cyclic homology of group algebras, and is based on Quillen's approach to the cyclic homology of algebras via algebra extensions. A method of computing the de Rham complex of a group algebra by means of a Gruenberg resolution is also developed.  相似文献

We compute the Hochschild and cyclic homology of certain three-dimensional quantum spaces (type A algebras), introduced by Artin and Schelter. We show that the Hochschild homology is determined by the quasi-classical limit.  相似文献

IfB is an étale extension of ak-algebraA, we prove for Hochschild homology thatHH *(B)≅HH*(A)⊗AB. For Galois descent with groupG there is a similar result for cyclic homology:HC *≅HC*(B)G if . In the process of proving these results we give a localization result for Hochschild homology without any flatness assumption. We then extend the definition of Hochschild homology to all schemes and show that Hochschild homology satisfies cohomological descent for the Zariski, Nisnevich and étale topologies. We extend the definition of cyclic homology to finite-dimensional noetherian schemes and show that cyclic homology satisfies cohomological descent for the Zariski and Nisnevich topologies, as well as for the étale topology overQ. Finally we apply these results to complete the computation of the algebraicK-theory of seminormal curves in characteristic zero. We prove that E n -homology of non-unital commutative algebras can be described as functor homology when one considers functors from a certain category of planar trees with n levels. For different n these homology theories are connected by natural maps, ranging from Hochschild homology and its higher order versions to Gamma homology.  相似文献

We obtain a mixed complex, simpler than the canonical one, given the Hochschild, cyclic, negative and periodic homology of a crossed product E=A#fH, where H is an arbitrary Hopf algebra and f is a convolution invertible cocycle with values in A. We actually work in the more general context of relative cyclic homology. Specifically, we consider a subalgebra K of A which is stable under the action of H, and we find a mixed complex computing the Hochschild, cyclic, negative and periodic homology of E relative to K. As an application we obtain two spectral sequences converging to the cyclic homology of E relative to K. The first one works in the general setting and the second one (which generalizes those previously found by several authors) works when f takes its values in K.  相似文献
