The problem of incidence of an acoustic wave on the interface between media with impedance interface conditions is considered. An approximate method is proposed for calculating the result of diffraction under such conditions. The method is implemented as a computer program, and the result is compared with the analytical solution for the impedance conditions and with the calculations by a program for the contact boundary conditions. Good accuracy of the method and high computation speed are demonstrated, which allow one to apply the proposed approximate method to solving both direct and inverse problems of acoustics.  相似文献

Sensitive dependence on initial conditions is widely understood as being the central idea of chaos. We first give sufficient conditions (both topological and ergodic) on an endomorphism to ensure the sensitivity property. Then, a strong sensitivity concept is introduced. Sufficient conditions on a transformation implying strong sensitivity are given. We also provide bounds for the strong sensitivity constant.  相似文献

Abstract In this paper, a new kind of discrete non-reflecting boundary conditions is developed.It can be usedfor a variety of wave equations such as the acoustic wave equation, the isotropic and anisotropic elastic waveequations and the equations for wave propagation in multi-phase media and so on.In this kind of boundaryconditions,the composition of all artifical reflected waves,but not the individual reflected ones,is consideredand eliminated.Thus, it has a uniform formula for different wave equations.The velocity C_A of the composedreflected wave is determined in the way to make the reflection coefficients minimal,the value of which depends onequations.In this psper,the construction of the boundary conditions illustrated and C_A is found,numericalresults are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the boundary conditions.  相似文献

We examine the question on solvability in the Sobolev spaces of coefficient inverse problems for parabolic systems of equations with the overdetermination conditions on a collection of surfaces. Under certain conditions on the geometry of the domain and the boundary operators, the local solvability of the problem is proven. It is demonstrated that the conditions on the boundary operators are sharp and that, in some cases, the problem is not unconditionally solvable.  相似文献

Standard results on asymptotic integration of systems of linear differential equations give sufficient conditions which imply that a system is strongly asymptotically equivalent to its principal diagonal part. These involve certain dichotomy conditions on the diagonal part as well as growth conditions on the off-diagonal perturbation terms. Here, we study perturbations with a triangularly-induced structure and see that growth conditions can be substantially weakened. In addition, we give results for not necessarily triangular perturbations which in some sense “interpolate” between the classical theorems of Levinson and Hartman-Wintner. Some analogous results for systems of linear difference equations are also given.  相似文献

An efficient method of construction of solutions to a set of boundary value problems with additional interface conditions, more complicated boundary conditions, and so on on the basis of known solutions to classical boundary value problems is proposed. The method is based on the representation of solutions to classical and more complicated problems in the form of expansions into Fourier series with subsequent reduction of one series to the other. As a result, formulas directly expressing solutions to more complicated problems in terms of solutions to classical problems are obtained. On the basis of the well-known solution to the Dirichlet problem on a half plane, solutions to boundary value problems with interface conditions (including generalized conditions of the type of a crack and a screen) on intersecting straight lines for boundary conditions of the first and the third kind are obtained.  相似文献

Some necessary and sufficient conditions on densities convergence for the existence of an ergoidc mixing, or exact dynamical system on a probability space given in [8] are extended to a measure space to obtain an ergodic, mixing or exact dynamical system on this measure space. More general sufficient conditions are given for the existence of those kinds of dynamical systems; as a consequence of these conditions it is obtained an ergodic, exact attractor for the orbits of almost every phase state. In the numerical solution of the diffraction problem for an acoustic plane wave in a half-plane with a cut, boundary conditions that are equivalent to the radiation conditions at infinity are set in a neighborhood of the points of the cut. Joining the physical boundary conditions on the cut, a closing set of equations of order 4N, where N is the number of grid points on the cut, is obtained. The so-called Green’s grid function for the half-plane is used, which makes it possible to pass from one grid layer to another one for the solution satisfying certain conditions at infinity.  相似文献

Initial-boundary value problems formulated in spatially unbounded domains can be sometimes reduced to problems in their bounded subdomains by using the so-called open boundary conditions. These conditions are set on the surface separating the subdomain from the rest of the domain. One of the approaches to obtaining such a kind of conditions is based on an approximation of the kernels of the time convolution operators in the relations connecting the exact solution of the original problem and its derivatives on the open boundary. In this case, it is possible to considerably reduce the requirements for system resources required to solve numerically for a wide range of physical and engineering problems. Estimates of the perturbations of the exact solution due to the approximate conditions are obtained for a model problem with one space variable.  相似文献

In this paper we discuss necessary conditions and sufficient conditions for the compression of an analytic Toeplitz operator onto a shift coinvariant subspace to have nontrivial reducing subspaces. We give necessary and sufficient conditions for the kernel of a Toeplitz operator whose symbol is the quotient of two inner functions to be nontrivial and obtain examples of reducing subspaces from these kernels. Motivated by this result we give necessary conditions and sufficient conditions for the kernel of a Toeplitz operator whose symbol is the quotient of two inner functions to be nontrivial in terms of the supports of the two inner functions. By studying the commutant of a compression, we are able to give a necessary condition for the existence of reducing subspaces on certain shift coinvariant subspaces.  相似文献

A regular simple geodesic loop on a tetrahedron is a simple geodesic loop which does not pass through any vertex of the tetrahedron. It is evident that such loops meet each face of the tetrahedron. Among these loops, the minimal loops are those which meet each face exactly once. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of minimal loops are obtained. These conditions fall naturally into two categories, conditions in the first category being called coherence conditions and conditions in the second category being called separation conditions. It is shown that for the existence of three distinct minimal loops through any point on the face of a tetrahedron it is necessary and sufficient that the tetrahedron be isosceles, which, in turn, amounts to the tetrahedron satisfying three coherence conditions. All other regular simple geodesic loops on an isosceles tetrahedron are then classified. Finally, coherence conditions for the existence of similar loops on an arbitrary tetrahedron are found.  相似文献

A nonlinear eigenvalue problem for a linear system of ordinary differential equations is examined on a semi-infinite interval. The problem is supplemented by nonlocal conditions specified by a Stieltjes integral. At infinity, the solution must be bounded. In addition to these basic conditions, the solution must satisfy certain redundant conditions, which are also nonlocal. A numerically stable method for solving such a singular overdetermined eigenvalue problem is proposed and analyzed. The essence of the method is that this overdetermined problem is replaced by an auxiliary problem consistent with all the above conditions.  相似文献

The Karush—Kuhn—Tucker (KKT) conditions can be regarded as optimality conditions for both variational inequalities and constrained optimization problems. In order to overcome some drawbacks of recently proposed reformulations of KKT systems, we propose casting KKT systems as a minimization problem with nonnegativity constraints on some of the variables. We prove that, under fairly mild assumptions, every stationary point of this constrained minimization problem is a solution of the KKT conditions. Based on this reformulation, a new algorithm for the solution of the KKT conditions is suggested and shown to have some strong global and local convergence properties. A brief review of the ELECTRE II technique based on a strong and a weak ordinal outranking relationship is given. This technique, which is applied to alternative vegetation management schemes, leads to a complete ranking of the alternatives by means of three thresholds for concordance conditions and two thresholds for discordance conditions. Specifically, six alternative schemes are evaluated with respect to seven criteria, leading to the determination of a preferred system. A sensitivity analysis indicates that the ELECTRE II ranking is fairly robust with respect to parameter changes for the conditions of the case study.  相似文献

We consider a nonlinear spectral problem for a self-adjoint Hamiltonian system of differential equations. The boundary conditions correspond to a self-adjoint problem. It is assumed that the input data (the matrix of the system and the matrices of the boundary conditions) satisfy certain conditions of monotonicity with respect to the spectral parameter. In addition to the main boundary conditions, a redundant nonlocal condition given by a Stieltjes integral is imposed on the solution. For the nontrivial solvability of the over-determined problem thus obtained, the original problem is replaced by an auxiliary problem that is consistent with the entire set of conditions. This auxiliary problem is obtained from the original one by allowing a discrepancy of a specific form. We study the resulting problem and give a numerical method for its solution.  相似文献

In the present paper, we study the resource allocation problem for a two-sector economic model of special form, which is of interest in applications. The optimization problem is considered on a given finite time interval. We show that, under certain conditions on the model parameters, the optimal solution contains a singular mode. We construct optimal solutions in closed form. The theoretical basis for the obtained results is provided by necessary optimality conditions (the Pontryagin maximum principle) and sufficient optimality conditions in terms of constructions of the Pontryagin maximum principle.  相似文献

We study a model for a creature which has a life cycle with two stages and which inhabits two patches. Our examination involves three different choices of birth function, namely linear, Ricker, and Allee. We discover conditions on the model parameters such that extinction will occur on both patches. We also find conditions on the parameters, and additionally in some cases the initial conditions, such that the creature will remain endemic on both patches. When the birth function is of Allee type on both patches, we show that there is always a population level beneath which extinction becomes inevitable on either patch. Simulations corroborate our theoretical results.  相似文献

This paper discusses the existence and uniqueness of mild solutions for a class of semilinear evolution equations with nonlocal conditions in an ordered Banach space E. Under some monotonicity conditions and noncompactness measure conditions of the nonlinearity, a new monotone iterative method on the evolution equations with nonlocal conditions has been established. Particularly, an existence result without using noncompactness measure condition is obtained in ordered and weakly sequentially complete Banach spaces, which is very convenient for application. The purpose of this paper is two folded. First, we present some results on strongly Kolmogorov sets, some of which parallel those for Kolmogorov sets. Secondly, we give two conditions which are sufficient for an element of a strongly Kolmogorov set to be a strongly unique best approximation. Then these conditions are shown to be necessary if additional conditions are imposed on either the norm or the set which we approximate from.  相似文献
