In this paper we present a concept of the construction of generalized gradients by considering a development of directional derivatives into spherical harmonics. This leads to a derivation system as a system of generalized partial derivatives. Necessary conditions for local extrema for a broad class of not necessarily differentiable function can be given and a characterization of points of differentiability can be proved by using generalized gradients.  相似文献

In the present work we show that the local generalized monotonicity of a lower semicontinuous set-valued operator on some certain type of dense sets ensures the global generalized monotonicity of that operator. We achieve this goal gradually by showing at first that the lower semicontinuous set-valued functions of one real variable, which are locally generalized monotone on a dense subsets of their domain are globally generalized monotone. Then, these results are extended to the case of set-valued operators on arbitrary Banach spaces. We close this work with a section on the global generalized convexity of a real valued function, which is obtained out of its local counterpart on some dense sets.  相似文献

In this paper, we review and unify some classes of generalized convex functions introduced by different authors to prove minimax results in infinite-dimensional spaces and show the relations between these classes. We list also for the most general class already introduced by Jeyakumar (Ref. 1) an elementary proof of a minimax result. The proof of this result uses only a finite-dimensional separa- tion theorem; although this minimax result was already presented by Neumann (Ref. 2) and independently by Jeyakumar (Ref. 1), we believe that the present proof is shorter and more transparent.  相似文献

The concept of generalized convex functions introduced by Beckenbach [E.F. Beckenbach, Generalized convex functions, Bull. Amer. Math. Soc. 43 (1937) 363–371] is extended to the two-dimensional case. Based on a refinement of the notion of internal sets in Colombeau's theory, so-called strongly internal sets, we introduce the space of generalized smooth functions, a maximal extension of Colombeau generalized functions. B.C. Berndt (J. Reine Angew. Math. 272:182–193, 1975; 304:332–365, 1978) has derived a number of new transformation formulas, in particular, the transformation formulae of the logarithms of the classical theta functions, by using a transformation formula for a more general class of Eisenstein series. In this paper, we continue his study. By using a transformation formula for a class of twisted generalized Eisenstein series, we generalize a transformation formula given by J. Lehner (Duke Math. J. 8:631–655, 1941) and give a new proof for transformation formulas proved by Y. Yang (Bull. Lond. Math. Soc. 36:671–682, 2004). Elliptic-type integrals have their importance and potential in certain problems in radiation physics and nuclear technology. A number of earlier works on the subject contains several interesting unifications and generalizations of some significant families of elliptic-type integrals. The present paper is intended to obtain certain new theorems on generating functions. The results obtained in this paper are of manifold generality and basic in nature. Beside deriving various known and new elliptic-type integrals and their generalizations these theorems can be used to evaluate various Euler-type integrals involving a number of generating functions.   相似文献

In this paper we investigate the connection between the asymptotic relations of subordination and the negligence with the generalized inverse function in the class of all nondecreasing and unbounded functions, which are defined on a half-axis [a,+∞)(a>0). Asymptotic expansions are given for large values of n of the generalized Bessel polynomials . The analysis is based on integrals that follow from the generating functions of the polynomials. A new simple expansion is given that is valid outside a compact neighborhood of the origin in the z-plane. New forms of expansions in terms of elementary functions valid in sectors not containing the turning points zi/n are derived, and a new expansion in terms of modified Bessel functions is given. Earlier asymptotic expansions of the generalized Bessel polynomials by Wong and Zhang (1997) and Dunster (2001) are discussed.  相似文献

We discuss generalized Bessel integrals with nondegenerate characters, which are assigned to irreducible submodules of a reducible degenerate principal series representation of Sp(n,R). Then we give sufficient conditions for their vanishings which are based on the signatures of the nondegenerate characters. This consequently suggests a reasonable correspondence between open GLn(R)-orbits in the set of real symmetric matrices of size n and irreducible submodules of the reducible principal series representations.  相似文献

In this paper, an generalized Jacobi elliptic functions expansion method with computerized symbolic computation is used for constructing more new exact Jacobi elliptic functions solutions of the generalized coupled Hirota-Satsuma KdV system. As a result, eight families of new doubly periodic solutions are obtained by using this method, some of these solutions are degenerated to solitary wave solutions and triangular functions solutions in the limit cases when the modulus of the Jacobi elliptic functions m → 1 or 0, which shows that the applied method is more powerful and will be used in further works to establish more entirely new solutions for other kinds of nonlinear partial differential equations arising in mathematical physics.  相似文献

To enrich the message space of a cipher and guarantee security, Ristenpart and Rogaway defined mix functions on two sets of equal size. To mix inputs from two sets of different sizes, Stinson generalized the definition of mix functions (called generalized mix functions), and established an existence result for generalized mix functions with 10 undetermined pairs of input sizes. In this paper, we complete the solution to the existence problem for generalized mix functions.   相似文献
