We give a construction of bent functions in dimension 2m from near-bent functions in dimension 2m−1. In particular, we give the first ever examples of non-weakly-normal bent functions in dimensions 10 and 12, which demonstrates the significance of our construction.  相似文献

We give explicit formulae for the local normal zeta functions of torsion-free, class-2-nilpotent groups, subject to conditions on the associated Pfaffian hypersurface which are generically satisfied by groups with small centre and sufficiently large abelianization. We show how the functional equations of two types of zeta functions – the Weil zeta function associated to an algebraic variety and zeta functions of algebraic groups introduced by Igusa – match up to give a functional equation for local normal zeta functions of groups. We also give explicit formulae and derive functional equations for an infinite family of class-2-nilpotent groups known as Grenham groups, confirming conjectures of du Sautoy.Received: September 2003 Revision: February 2004with Appendix by A. We study Whittaker functions for generalized principal series representations of the real special linear group SL(3, R) of degree 3. From the Capelli elements and Dirac-Schmid operators, we give the system of partial differential equations which is satisfied by Whittaker functions. We give six formal power series solutions of this system, which are called secondary Whittaker functions. We also give the Mellin-Barnes type integral expressions of primary Whittaker functions, i.e. the solutions having the moderate growth property.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider multiplication formulas and their inversion formulas for Hurwitz–Lerch zeta functions. Inversion formulas give simple proofs of known results, and also show generalizations of those results. Next, we give a generalization of digamma and gamma functions in terms of Hurwitz–Lerch zeta functions, and consider its properties. In all the sections, various results are always proved by multiplication and inversion formulas.  相似文献

Generating functions which count occurrences of consecutive sequences in a permutation or a word which matches a given pattern are studied by exploiting the combinatorics associated with symmetric functions. Our theorems take the generating function for the number of permutations which do not contain a certain pattern and give generating functions refining permutations by the both the total number of pattern matches and the number of non-overlapping pattern matches. Our methods allow us to give new proofs of several previously recorded results on this topic as well as to prove new extensions and new q-analogues of such results.  相似文献

Let be a finite analytic map. We give an expression for the local Łojasiewicz exponent and for the multiplicity of g when the component functions of g satisfy certain condition with respect to a set of n monomial ideals I 1,..., I n . We give an effective method to compute Łojasiewicz exponents based on the computation of mixed multiplicities. As a consequence of our study, we give a numerical characterization of a class of functions that includes semi-weighted homogenous functions and Newton non-degenerate functions. The purpose of this paper is to define a new class polynomials. Special cases of these polynomials give many famous family of the Bernstein type polynomials and beta polynomials. We also construct generating functions for these polynomials. We investigate some fundamental properties of these functions and polynomials. Using functional equations and generating functions, we derive various identities related to theses polynomials. We also construct interpolation function that interpolates these polynomials at negative integers. Finally, we give a matrix representations of these polynomials. The singular values of a rectangular matrix are nonsmooth functions of its entries. In this work we study the nonsmooth analysis of functions of singular values. In particular we give simple formulae for the regular subdifferential, the limiting subdifferential, and the horizon subdifferential, of such functions. Along the way to the main result we give several applications and in particular derive von Neumann’s trace inequality for singular values. The question if there exist nonnormal bent functions was an open question for several years. A Boolean function in n variables is called normal if there exists an affine subspace of dimension n/2 on which the function is constant. In this paper we give the first nonnormal bent function and even an example for a nonweakly normal bent function. These examples belong to a class of bent functions found in [J.F. Dillon, H. Dobbertin, New cyclic difference sets with Singer parameters, in: Finite Fields and Applications, to appear], namely the Kasami functions. We furthermore give a construction which extends these examples to higher dimensions. Additionally, we present a very efficient algorithm that was used to verify the nonnormality of these functions.  相似文献

We give a characterization of Stein manifolds M for which the space of analytic functions,O(M), is isomorphic as Fréchet spaces to the space of analytic functions on a polydisc interms of the existence of a plurisubharmonic function on M with certain properties. We extend the Pizzetti formulas, i.e., expansions of the solid and spherical means of a function in terms of the radius of the ball or sphere, to the case of real analytic functions and to functions of Laplacian growth. We also give characterizations of these functions. As an application we give a characterization of solutions analytic in time of the initial value problem for the heat equation ∂ t u = Δu in terms of holomorphic properties of the solid and/or spherical means of the initial data.  相似文献

By using partial differential equations (PDEs) of the generating functions for the unification of the Bernoulli, Euler and Genocchi polynomials and numbers, we derive many new identities and recurrence relations for these polynomials and numbers. In [33], Srivastava et al. defined a unified presentation of certain meromorphic functions related to the families of the partial zeta type functions. By using these functions, we construct p-adic functions which are related to the partial zeta type functions. By applying these p-adic function, we construct unified presentation of p-adic L-functions. These functions give us generalization of the Kubota–Leopoldt p-adic L-functions, which are related to the Bernoulli numbers and the other p-adic L-functions, which are related to the Euler numbers and polynomials. Based on the iterative root theory for monotone functions, an algorithm for computing polygonal iterative roots of increasing polygonal functions was given by J. Kobza. In this paper we not only give an algorithm for roots of decreasing polygonal functions but also generalize Kobza's results to the general n.
