Summary We consider a spline collocation method for strongly elliptic zero order pseudodifferential equationsp gw Au=f on a cube =(0, 1) m . Utilizing multilinear spline functions which are zero at the boundary we collocate at the meshpoints inside . For classical strongly elliptic translation invariant pseudodifferential operators, we verify the stability of the considered collocation method inL 2(). The non-commutative torus C *(n,) is realized as the C*-algebra of sections of a locally trivial C*-algebra bundle over S with fibres isomorphic to C *n/S, 1) for a totally skew multiplier 1 on n/S. D. Poguntke [9] proved that A is stably isomorphic to C(S) C(*( Zn/S, 1) C(S) A Mkl( C) for a simple non-commutative torus A and an integer kl. It is well-known that a stable isomorphism of two separable C*-algebras is equivalent to the existence of equivalence bimodule between them. We construct an A-C(S) A-equivalence bimodule.  相似文献

Let be a finite composition of exact twist diffeomorphisms. For any real number , letA() denote the minimal average action of -invariant measures with angular rotation number . We prove thatA() is differentiable at every irrational number and that for generic it is not differentiable at rational , thus verifying conjectures of S. Aubry. Moreover, we show that these results are valid for a variational principleh which satisfies the condition which we have called elsewhere (H). As a consequence, we generalize a result due to Bangert concerning geodesics on a two dimensional torus with an arbitrary, but sufficiently smooth metric.supported by NSF grant no. Relations among classes of resolvent, quasiresolvent, intrinsically enumerable models, and B-models are established. It is proved that every linear order containing a -subset isomorphic to or to - is not quasiresolvent. It is stated that every model of a countably categorical theory is a B-model. And it is shown that for every B-model in a hereditarily finite admissible set, the uniformization theorem fails.  相似文献

The paper deals first with the case where the range of thet-derivative ofF t () is also in the Cameron-Martin space and new representations for the Radon-Nikodym derivative and the Carleman-Fredholm determinant are derived. Let M be a Kähler manifold with Ricci and antiholomorphic Ricci curvature bounded from below. Let be a domain in M with some bounds on the mean and JN-mean curvatures of its boundary . The main result of this paper is a comparison theorem between the Mean Exit Time function defined on and the Mean Exit Time from a geodesic ball of the complex projective space n () which involves a characterization of the geodesic balls among the domain . In order to achieve this, we prove a comparison theorem for the mean curvatures of hypersurfaces parallel to the boundary of , using the Index Lemma for Submanifolds.Work partially supported by a DGICYT Grant No. PS87-0115-C03-01.  相似文献

Let A M be the space of all almost Kahlerian smooth metrics on a symplectic manifold M 2n , such that the fundamental form of each metric coincides with . It is well known that A M is a retractor of the space M of all smooth metrics on M. We show that M is a smooth trivial bundle over A M . We obtain asymptotic estimates of meromorphic solutions to the differential equationP n (z, , )=P n–1 (z, , ,..., (m) ) in the angular domain P={z: arg z · }. Two methods of calculating the scattering amplitude f(, 0) of a wave scattered by the vertex of an arbitrarily shaped cone are justified. It is shown that the approximation f d (, 0,t) obtained by a method similar to the AbelPoisson method of summation converges uniformly in the regularity region for f. We study generalized Mehler semigroups, introduced in [7], with special emphasis on the non-Gaussian case. We review and simplify the method of construction. In the general (non-Gaussian) case we construct an associated cadlag Markov process in an appropriate state space obtained as a solution of a stochastic equation which can be solved by . We also show tightness of the associated (r, p)-capacities. Invariant measures, time regularity and a definition of the generator are also studied.  相似文献
