In this paper, we study absolute ruin questions for the perturbed compound Poisson risk process with investment and debit interests by the expected discounted penalty function at absolute ruin, which provides a unified means of studying the joint distribution of the absolute ruin time, the surplus immediately prior to absolute ruin time and the deficit at absolute ruin time. We first consider the stochastic Dirichlet problem and from which we derive a system of integro-differential equations and the boundary conditions satisfied by the function. Second, we derive the integral equations and a defective renewal equation under some special cases, then based on the defective renewal equation we give two asymptotic results for the expected discounted penalty function when the initial surplus tends to infinity for the light-tailed claims and heavy-tailed claims, respectively. Finally, we investigate some explicit solutions and numerical results when claim sizes are exponentially distributed.  相似文献

Quantities of interest in ruin theory are investigated under the general framework of the expected discounted penalty function, assuming a risk model where both premiums and claims follow compound Poisson processes. Both a defective renewal equation and an integral equation satisfied by the expected discounted penalty function are established. Some implications that these equations have on particular quantities such as the discounted deficit and the probability of ultimate ruin are illustrated. Finally, the case when premiums have Erlang(n,β) distribution and the distribution of the claims is arbitrary is investigated in more depth. Throughout the paper specific examples where claims and premiums have particular distributions are provided.  相似文献

This paper studies a Sparre Andersen model in which the inter-claim times are generalized Erlang(n) distributed. We assume that the premium rate is a step function depending on the current surplus level. A piecewise integro-differential equation for the Gerber–Shiu discounted penalty function is derived and solved. Finally, to illustrate the solution procedure, explicit expression for the Laplace transform of the time to ruin is given when the inter-claim times are generalized Erlang(2) distributed and the claim amounts are exponentially distributed.  相似文献

In this paper we extend some results in Cramér [7] by considering the expected discounted penalty function as a generalization of the infinite time ruin probability. We consider his ruin theory model that allows the claim sizes to take positive as well as negative values. Depending on the sign of these amounts, they are interpreted either as claims made by insureds or as income from deceased annuitants, respectively. We then demonstrate that when the events’ arrival process is a renewal process, the Gerber-Shiu function satisfies a defective renewal equation. Subsequently, we consider some special cases such as when claims have exponential distribution or the arrival process is a compound Poisson process and annuity-related income has Erlang(nβ) distribution. We are then able to specify the parameter and the functions involved in the above-mentioned defective renewal equation.  相似文献

In this paper, we extend the work of Mitric and Sendova (2010), which considered the absolute ruin problem in a risk model with debit and credit interest, to renewal and non-renewal structures. Our first results apply to MAP processes, which we later restrict to the Sparre Andersen renewal risk model with interclaim times that are generalized Erlang (n) distributed and claim amounts following a Matrix-Exponential (ME) distribution (see for e.g. Asmussen and O’Cinneide (1997)). Under this scenario, we present a general methodology to analyze the Gerber-Shiu discounted penalty function defined at absolute ruin, as a solution of high-order linear differential equations with non-constant coefficients. Closed-form solutions for some absolute ruin related quantities in the generalized Erlang (2) case complement the results obtained under the classical risk model by Mitric and Sendova (2010).  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a renewal risk model with stochastic premiums income. We assume that the premium number process and the claim number process are a Poisson process and a generalized Erlang (n) processes, respectively. When the individual stochastic premium sizes are exponentially distributed, the Laplace transform and a defective renewal equation for the Gerber-Shiu discounted penalty function are obtained. Furthermore, the discounted joint distribution of the surplus just before ruin and the deficit at ruin is given. In this paper, we consider an insurance risk model governed by a Markovian arrival claim process and by phase-type distributed claim amounts, which also allows for claim sizes to be correlated with the inter-claim times. A defective renewal equation of matrix form is derived for the Gerber-Shiu discounted penalty function and solved using matrix analytic methods. The use of the busy period distribution for the canonical fluid flow model is a key factor in our analysis, allowing us to obtain an explicit form of the Gerber-Shiu discounted penalty function avoiding thus the use of Lundberg’s fundamental equation roots. As a special case, we derive the triple Laplace transform of the time to ruin, surplus prior to ruin, and deficit at ruin in explicit form, further obtaining the discounted joint and marginal moments of the surplus prior to ruin and the deficit at ruin.  相似文献

The defective renewal equation satisfied by the Gerber-Shiu discounted penalty function in the renewal risk model with arbitrary interclaim times is analyzed. The ladder height distribution is shown to be a mixture of residual lifetime claim severity distributions, which results in an invariance property satisfied by a large class of claim amount models. The class of exponential claim size distributions is considered, and the Laplace transform of the (discounted) defective density of the surplus immediately prior to ruin is obtained. The mixed Erlang claim size class is also examined. The simplified defective renewal equation which results when the penalty function only involves the deficit is used to obtain moments of the discounted deficit.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider an extension to the compound Poisson risk model for which the occurrence of the claim may be delayed. Two kinds of dependent claims, main claims and by-claims, are defined, where every by-claim is induced by the main claim and may be delayed with a certain probability. Both the expected discounted penalty functions with zero initial surplus and the Laplace transforms of the expected discounted penalty functions are obtained from an integro-differential equations system. We prove that the expected discounted penalty function satisfies a defective renewal equation. An exact representation for the solution of this equation is derived through an associated compound geometric distribution, and an analytic expression for this quantity is given for when the claim amounts from both classes are exponentially distributed. Moreover, the closed form expressions for the ruin probability and the distribution function of the surplus before ruin are obtained. We prove that the ruin probability for this risk model decreases as the probability of the delay of by-claims increases. Finally, numerical results are also provided to illustrate the applicability of our main result and the impact of the delay of by-claims on the expected discounted penalty functions.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to consider the expected value of a discounted penalty due at ruin in the Erlang(2) risk process under constant interest force. An integro-differential equation satisfied by the expected value and a second-order differential equation for the Laplace transform of the expected value are derived. In addition, the paper will present the recursive algorithm for the joint distribution of the surplus immediately before ruin and the deficit at ruin. Under the multi-layer dividend strategy, piece-wise integro-differential equations for the discounted penalty functions are derived, and a recursive approach is applied to express the solutions. In this paper, we consider the renewal risk process under a threshold dividend payment strategy. For this model, the expected discounted dividend payments and the Gerber–Shiu expected discounted penalty function are investigated. Integral equations, integro-differential equations and some closed form expressions for them are derived. When the claims are exponentially distributed, it is verified that the expected penalty of the deficit at ruin is proportional to the ruin probability.  相似文献
