This paper aims to study low dimensional cohomology of Hom-Lie algebras and the qdeformed W(2, 2) algebra. We show that the q-deformed W(2, 2) algebra is a Hom-Lie algebra. Also,we establish a one-to-one correspondence between the equivalence classes of one-dimensional central extensions of a Hom-Lie algebra and its second cohomology group, leading us to determine the second cohomology group of the q-deformed W(2, 2) algebra. In addition, we generalize some results of derivations of finitely generated Lie algebras with values in graded modules to Hom-Lie algebras.As application, we compute all αk-derivations and in particular the first cohomology group of the q-deformed W(2, 2) algebra.  相似文献

We determine the Hochschild cohomology algebras of the square-free monomial complete intersections. In particular we provide an explicit formula for the cup product which gives the cohomology module an algebra structure and then we describe this structure in terms of generators and relations. In addition, we compute the Hilbert series of the Hochschild cohomology of these algebras.  相似文献

It is known that elements in the cohomology of groups and in the Hochschild cohomology of algebras are represented by crossed extensions. We introduce the notion of crossed modules and crossed extensions for algebras over operads and obtain in this way an operadic version of Hochschild cohomology. We consider selfinjective Artin algebras whose cohomology groups are finitely generated over a central ring of cohomology operators. For such an algebra, we show that the representation dimension is strictly greater than the maximal complexity occurring among its modules. This provides a unified approach to computing lower bounds for the representation dimension of group algebras, exterior algebras and Artin complete intersections. We also obtain new examples of classes of algebras with arbitrarily large representation dimension.  相似文献

We show that every finitely generated group admits weak analogues of an invariant expectation, whose existence characterizes exact groups. This fact has a number of applications. We show that Hopf G-modules are relatively injective, which implies that bounded cohomology groups with coefficients in all Hopf G-modules vanish in all positive degrees. We also prove a general fixed point theorem for actions of finitely generated groups on ?-type spaces. Finally, we define the notion of weak exactness for certain Banach algebras.  相似文献

There have been few examples of computations of Sweedler cohomology, or its generalization in low degrees known as lazy cohomology, for Hopf algebras of positive characteristic. In this paper we first provide a detailed calculation of the Sweedler cohomology of the algebra of functions on (?/2) r , in all degrees, over a field of characteristic 2. Here the result is strikingly different from the characteristic zero analog.

Then we show that there is a variant in characteristic p of the result obtained by Kassel and the author in characteristic zero, which provides a near-complete calculation of the second lazy cohomology group in the case of function algebras over a finite group; in positive characteristic, the statement is, rather surprisingly, simpler.  相似文献

The equivariant cohomology of a space with a group action is not only a ring but also an algebra over the cohomology ring of the classifying space of the acting group. We prove that toric manifolds (i.e. compact smooth toric varieties) are isomorphic as varieties if and only if their equivariant cohomology algebras are weakly isomorphic. We also prove that quasitoric manifolds, which can be thought of as a topological counterpart to toric manifolds, are equivariantly homeomorphic if and only if their equivariant cohomology algebras are isomorphic.  相似文献

We study the André–Quillen cohomology with coefficients of an algebra over an operad. Using resolutions of algebras coming from the Koszul duality theory, we make this cohomology theory explicit and we give a Lie theoretic interpretation. For which operads is the associated André–Quillen cohomology equal to an Ext-functor? We give several criteria, based on the cotangent complex, to characterize this property. We apply it to homotopy algebras, which gives a new homotopy stable property for algebras over cofibrant operads.  相似文献

For module algebras and module coalgebras over an arbitrary bialgebra, we define two types of bivariant cyclic cohomology groups called bivariant Hopf cyclic cohomology and bivariant equivariant cyclic cohomology. These groups are defined through an extension of Connes' cyclic category Λ. We show that, in the case of module coalgebras, bivariant Hopf cyclic cohomology specializes to Hopf cyclic cohomology of Connes and Moscovici and its dual version by fixing either one of the variables as the ground field. We also prove an appropriate version of Morita invariance for both of these theories.  相似文献

In this note we draw consequences of theorems of Kashiwara–Schmid, Casselman, and Schneider–Stuhler. Canonical globalizations of Harish–Chandra modules can be considered as coefficient modules for cohomology groups with respect to cocompact discrete subgroups or nilpotent Lie algebras. The authors first construct an explicit minimal projective bimodule resolution(P, δ) of the Temperley-Lieb algebra A, and then apply it to calculate the Hochschild cohomology groups and the cup product of the Hochschild cohomology ring of A based on a comultiplicative map Δ:P → PAP. As a consequence, the authors determine the multiplicative structure of Hochschild cohomology rings of both Temperley-Lieb algebras and representation-finite q-Schur algebras under the cup product by giving an explicit presentation by generators and relations.  相似文献

We generalise the Dixmier-Douady classification of continuous-trace C?-algebras to Fell algebras. To do so, we show that C?-diagonals in Fell algebras are precisely abelian subalgebras with the extension property, and use this to prove that every Fell algebra is Morita equivalent to one containing a diagonal subalgebra. We then use the machinery of twisted groupoid C?-algebras and equivariant sheaf cohomology to define an analogue of the Dixmier-Douady invariant for Fell algebras, and to prove our classification theorem.  相似文献
