We construct the fundamental solution or Green function for a divergence form elliptic system in two dimensions with bounded and measurable coefficients. Our main goal is construct the Green function for the operator with mixed boundary conditions in a Lipschitz domain. Thus we specify Dirichlet data on part of the boundary and Neumann data on the remainder of the boundary. We require a corkscrew or non-tangential accessibility condition on the set where we specify Dirichlet boundary conditions. Our proof proceeds by defining a variant of the space BMO(Ω) that is adapted to the boundary conditions and showing that the solution exists in this space. We also give a construction of the Green function with Neumann boundary conditions and the fundamental solution in the plane.  相似文献

According to an observation of A.V. Bitsadze from 1948 the Dirichlet problem for bianalytic functions is ill-posed. A natural boundary condition for the polyanalytic operator, however, is the Schwarz condition. An integral representation for the solutions in the unit disc to the inhomogeneous polyanalytic equation satisfying Schwarz boundary conditions is known. This representation is extended here to any simply connected plane domain having a harmonic Green function. Some other boundary value problems are investigated with some Dirichlet and Neumann conditions illuminating that just the Schwarz problem is a natural boundary condition for the Bitsadze operator.  相似文献

A new approach for symbolically solving linear boundary value problems is presented. Rather than using general-purpose tools for obtaining parametrized solutions of the underlying ODE and fitting them against the specified boundary conditions (which may be quite expensive), the problem is interpreted as an operator inversion problem in a suitable Banach space setting. Using the concept of the oblique Moore—Penrose inverse, it is possible to transform the inversion problem into a system of operator equations that can be attacked by virtue of non-commutative Gröbner bases. The resulting operator solution can be represented as an integral operator having the classical Green’s function as its kernel. Although, at this stage of research, we cannot yet give an algorithmic formulation of the method and its domain of admissible inputs, we do believe that it has promising perspectives of automation and generalization; some of these perspectives are discussed.  相似文献

In this work we study the different type of regular boundary value problems on a path associated with the Schrödinger operator. In particular, we obtain the Green function for each problem and we emphasize the case of Sturm-Liouville boundary conditions. In any case, the Green function is given in terms of second kind Chebyshev polynomials since they verify a recurrence law similar to the one verified by the Schödinger operator on a path.  相似文献

We investigate a class of fourth-order regular differential operator with transmission conditions at an interior discontinuous point and the eigenparameter appears not only in the differential equation but also in the boundary conditions. We prove that the operator is symmetric, construct basic solutions of differential equation, and give the corresponding Green function of the operator is given.  相似文献

The Green function for the biharmonic operator on bounded domains with zero Dirichlet boundary conditions is in general not of fixed sign. However, by extending an idea of Z. Nehari, we are able to identify regions of positivity for Green functions of polyharmonic operators. In particular, the biharmonic Green function is considered in all space dimensions. As a consequence we see that the negative part of any such Green function is somehow small compared with the singular positive part.

In this article, we discuss a conformable fractional Sturm‐Liouville boundary‐value problem. We prove an existence and uniqueness theorem for this equation and formulate a self‐adjoint boundary value problem. In this paper, we consider the properties of Green’s function for a class of nonlinear Caputo fractional differential equations with integral boundary conditions by constructing an available integral operator. By means of well-known fixed point theorems and lower and upper solutions method, some new existence and nonexistence criteria of single or multiple positive solutions for fractional differential equation boundary value problems are established. We investigate manifolds with boundary in noncommutative geometry. Spectral triples associated to a symmetric differential operator and a local boundary condition are constructed. We show that there is no tadpole for classical Dirac operators with a chiral boundary condition on spin manifolds.  相似文献

In this paper we study the solutions to the diffusion equation on some conformally flat cylinders and on the n‐torus. Using the Clifford algebra calculus with an appropriate Witt basis, the solutions can be expressed as multiperiodic eigensolutions to the parabolic Dirac operator. We study their fundamental properties, give representation formulas of all these solutions and develop some integral representation formulas. In particular we set up a Green type formula for the solutions to the homogeneous diffusion equation on cylinders and tori. Then we also treat the inhomogeneous diffusion equation diffusion with prescribed boundary conditions in Lipschitz domains on these manifolds. As main application, we construct well localized diffusion wavelets on this class of cylinders and tori by means of multiperiodic eigensolutions to the parabolic Dirac operator. In this paper, we study the solutions to the generalized Helmholtz equation with complex parameter on some conformally flat cylinders and on the n‐torus. Using the Clifford algebra calculus, the solutions can be expressed as multi‐periodic eigensolutions to the Dirac operator associated with a complex parameter λ∈?. Physically, these can be interpreted as the solutions to the time‐harmonic Maxwell equations on these manifolds. We study their fundamental properties and give an explicit representation theorem of all these solutions and develop some integral representation formulas. In particular, we set up Green‐type formulas for the cylindrical and toroidal Helmholtz operator. As a concrete application, we explicitly solve the Dirichlet problem for the cylindrical Helmholtz operator on the half cylinder. Finally, we introduce hypercomplex integral operators on these manifolds, which allow us to represent the solutions to the inhomogeneous Helmholtz equation with given boundary data on cylinders and on the n‐torus. In this paper, we study the existence of positive solutions for a class of higher-order nonlinear fractional differential equations with integral boundary conditions and a parameter. By using the properties of the Green’s function, u 0-positive function and the fixed point index theory, we obtain some existence results of positive solution under some conditions concerning the first eigenvalue with respect to the relevant linear operator. The method of this paper is a unified method for establishing the existence of multiple positive solutions for a large number of nonlinear differential equations of arbitrary order with any allowed number of non-local boundary conditions.  相似文献

We consider a regular Riemann surface of finite genus and “generalized spectral data,” a special set of distinguished points on it. From them we construct a discrete analog of the Baker-Akhiezer function with a discrete operator that annihilates it. Under some extra conditions on the generalized spectral data, the operator takes the form of the discrete Cauchy-Riemann operator, and its restriction to the even lattice is annihilated by the corresponding Schrödinger operator. In this article we construct an explicit formula for the Green’s function of the indicated operator. The formula expresses the Green’s function in terms of the integral along a special contour of a differential constructed from the wave function and the extra spectral data. In result, the Green’s function with known asymptotics at infinity can be obtained at almost every point of the spectral curve.  相似文献

Levitan reduces the question of the asymptotics of the spectral function of the Laplace operator on a smooth Riemannian manifold with boundary to the problem of constructing the asymptotics of a Green function possessing certain additional properties. We investigate analytical properties of a measure geometric Laplacian which is given as the second derivative w.r.t. two atomless finite Borel measures μ and ν with compact supports supp μ ? supp ν on the real line. This class of operators includes a generalization of the well‐known Sturm‐Liouville operator as well as of the measure geometric Laplacian given by . We obtain for this differential operator under both Dirichlet and Neumann boundary conditions similar properties as known in the classical Lebesgue case for the euclidean Laplacian like Gauß‐Green‐formula, inversion formula, compactness of the resolvent and its kernel representation w.r.t. the corresponding Green function. Finally we prove nuclearity of the resolvent and give two representations of its trace.  相似文献

The main objective of this paper is to study the warped product pointwise semi‐slant submanifolds which are isometrically immersed into Sasakian manifolds. First, we prove some characterizations results in terms of the shape operator, under which influence a pointwise semi‐slant submanifold of a Sasakian manifold can be reduced to a warped product submanifold. Then, we determine a geometric inequality for the second fundamental form regarding to intrinsic invariant and extrinsic invariant using the Gauss equation instead of the Codazzi equation. Evenmore, we give some applications of this inequality into Sasakian space forms, and we will investigate the status of equalities in the inequality. As a particular case, we provide numerous applications of the Green lemma, the Laplacian of warped functions and some partial differential equations. Some triviality results for connected, compact warped product pointwise semi‐slant submanifolds of Sasakian space form by means of Hamiltonian and the kinetic energy of warped function involving boundary conditions are established.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a Sturm–Liouville operator with eigenparameter-dependent boundary conditions and transmission conditions at a finite number of interior points. We introduce a Hilbert space formulation such that the problem under consideration can be interpreted as an eigenvalue problem for a suitable self-adjoint linear operator. We construct Green function of the problem and resolvent operator. We establish the self-adjointness of the discontinuous Sturm–Liouville operator.  相似文献
